I’ve booked 14,881 sales calls. THIS stops you booking them

Will (speaker) explains practical strategies for booking sales calls for high-ticket info businesses. He lists primary channels (YouTube, ads, Instagram, LinkedIn/Twitter, email, forums/Reddit), gives tactical playbooks (Instagram: send personalized selfie videos — ~12% booked per 100 sent; post two reels/day; link bio to a VSL funnel not Calendly; YouTube: core driver, details in a separate video), and emphasizes paid ads (start with retargeting, 3–5x cheaper than cold; then scale cold ads) as the most controllable way to increase call volume. Will shares results (books ~15–17 calls/day; recent months: $501k and ~<$600k cash collected) and email tactics (‘‘nine-word’’ reply email template and an every-other-day cadence: value, value, pitch). He advises nailing 1–2 platforms before adding more and prioritizing high-ticket offers.

Hey guys, it's Will. And you've got an info business and you're booking some calls and you're making some money, but you want to make more. And right now you're watching this video so that I can help you to learn the ways to book even more calls for you to take and close so you can make more money. If that's you, I can certainly help. And in this video I, I'm going to start by breaking down all of the ways, all of the sources and all the strategies that I use to book roughly 15 to 17 calls per day right now in my own info business. And just for context, so last month I made $501,000 cash collected USD. The month before it was just below $600,000. The month before that it was similarly, similarly, similarly high. I've built two eight figure companies now sold one of them to private equity and over the years, over the last eight years, even my own voice is shocked at how long I've been doing this. Now I've booked like thousands of sales calls, I've had massive sales teams, I have quite a large sales team now.
And I have learned how to book quite a lot of calls. So here goes. Now at the moment, there's always primary sources that tend to book the most calls, but for different people. So I've got clients, most of their calls come from say LinkedIn. I've got clients, most of their calls come from YouTube. I've got clients, most of their calls come from ads.
And just to tell you a story to illustrate my point here, now in my, my old business, the one that I built and sold, I started out on Twitter and that was what got me my first just a few sales calls. Then I learned right, posting on Twitter gets me attention and calls. Then I started a YouTube channel and that got me even more leads and calls and sales. And then I learned the power of paid ads and that got me, I mean, more calls than I could even take. At the height of that business we had nine full time sales reps. That's how far we'd scaled. We'd scale to multi, multi, multi, six figures per month.
So there's different sources and there's different ways and there's also different strategies for different sources and different platforms. And in this video I just want to do my best to really break it all down and share everything that I've ever learned about the different ways that you can book calls and then you can choose just one or two or three to go and book more calls. And after this video, you are going to know for sure and for certain how to book more calls. And you can go and do it. You can book more and close more and make more money. Now, to begin with, the key platforms and the key ways that you can book more calls, in my opinion nowadays is pretty much this. So LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, retargeting ads, cold ads.
Cold outreach. You could do direct mail. I've got a client right now who's booking a decent amount of calls from just going to Reddit and going into the threads of what she's good at and what she helps people with, and just talking to people in there and then messaging them and then booking them in for sales calls. And that's actually her primary source of sales calls currently. So technically, you've got, I guess, forums and Reddit and Quora and those kinds of things as well. For me, our core drivers of sales calls, in order of what books the most, is YouTube number one, ads number two, Instagram number three, and then LinkedIn and Twitter number four, and email as well, number five. And I'm going to share what we do and how we do it and what the strategies are so that you can implement some of these for yourself to book more calls.
Now, usually when people come to me and they say, I'm not getting enough calls.
And maybe some of you watching this right now, you're in this place of you want more calls, but usually you guys only have one core network. And usually you guys are not deploying all the strategies that you can on each core network, because within each network, and we'll start with Instagram, because that's my favorite right now.
There are different ways that you can book calls from each individual platform.
So to start with Instagram, the main way that we book calls is we send a selfie video to all of our followers. So if anyone follows me on Instagram, give it a few hours, and me or one of my team members is going to send you a selfie video. And we use that to start a conversation. And then we have a. Not really a script. I wouldn't call it a script. It's more of a process, a conversational process. We basically say to people, why did you follow me? Can we help you with anything? Do you have any problems that you're stuck on? And if the answer is no, we say, right, just enjoy the content.
If the answer is yes, we will suggest maybe booking in a sales call to explore, if we can even help them. And currently, for every hundred selfie videos that we send we book about 12 calls.
That's the conversion rate. It's about 12% from sent to booked. So that's one strategy that works very well for us. Another strategy is posting short form reels. And. And we post at the moment two per day, one in the morning, one in the evening, and people can comment on those. And we usually send them some kind of training video of some kind. And then again, we will have a conversation with them, see if they've got a problem. And if they do, we will suggest booking in for a call to explore, maybe helping them in some way. So that's the second way. The third way is people coming to us. So we get not a lot, one or two or three a day, maybe a little bit more of people messaging us and saying, will, I found your YouTube. Can you help me? I saw your ad. I was suggested by a past client or a friend who's worked with you or seen you YouTube or something like that. So we get inbound as well. And that is the third way that, that we book sales calls from Instagram. Now, there is a fourth way, and that is the link in the bio. This is a massive, massive mistake that I see people making. In fact, I saw this earlier today. I was looking at someone's Instagram. It might even have been someone that told me that they're struggling to book calls, actually, as well, as ironic as that is, and their link in the Bio was their YouTube channel. And I was like, I mean, do you want calls or not? Because if you want calls, send them to a VSL. If you don't want calls, send them to YouTube by all means. And I know that they would probably say, well, yeah, but then they'll go to YouTube, they'll get nurtured and eventually buy. But we don't want them to eventually buy. We want them to book a call now, today, so that we can close them tomorrow, right? So for God's sakes, have your funnel linked in your Instagram bio. And that is the fourth way that we book calls from, from Instagram, because a lot of people. And we track this, by the way, we have a tracking software called Highroads where we can see, did they come from a set, did they come from a real. Did they come from the bio? Did they click the bio, go to YouTube and then book a call? We can see the full customer journey through Hiros. But the bio is responsible for a lot of, lot of sales calls. So don't commit the mistake of sending them to Calendly, God forbid. That's Suicide. Never go straight to Calendly. For God's sakes. Don't make the mistake of going low ticket and trying to ascend them. That is by far one of the stupidest things. If you sell low ticket.
Fuck. Just, just, just, just do. Never, never sell low ticket, man. Just never sell low ticket ever again. It's just suicide. Just drive people on these primary networks while you have a link in the bio of them, send them to a well structured sales process which is usually going to be a VSL and a button to book a call and that is going to maximize sales call volume. So that's Instagram. Now next let's talk about YouTube. And in fact I actually made a video that I put out last week. If you haven't seen that yet, go and go and watch that after this one. Because in that video I break down everything that I've learned, all the mistakes that I've made through the last two years, and in fact even the last company's YouTube journey as well. And that is really going to add a lot of value. And in that video I cover how to structure your YouTube funnel, how to, how to book more calls from YouTube. So I won't touch on YouTube in this video because I've mentioned it in, in that video. Okay.
So that is Instagram covered and that is YouTube covered. Now the number one way to book more sales calls is actually to buy more sales calls. And what I mean by that is by running ads, by running retargeting ads, by running cold ads. And this is the primary way that I scaled my last business and it's the primary way that I'm scaling this business as well. And the reason for that is you can't control organic, but you can control ad spend. What I mean by that is if I made a video today, I've got no idea how many views it's going to get.
If I run a paid ad today, I do know exactly how many views that's going to get because I can buy as many as I like as long as I've got the budget to buy them. I can buy as many views, buy as many clicks, buy as many leads, and buy as many calls as I like by running paid ads. So if you want to not just scale and book more calls, but controllably book more calls. You should be running ads. I would suggest starting with retargeting first and when you've nailed and, or exhausted retargeting, then go to cold ads. And for those that don't know what that means with Retargeting ads. You can specifically show ads to people who've viewed your YouTube, who follow you on Instagram, who've liked or commented on a post on Instagram or even Facebook. So the platforms give you the ability to run ads to people that have already engaged with you. And this is why it's usually.
It'S usually about three to four to five times cheaper than cold ads. Give or take the niche, give or take your audience size and style, but it's usually three or four or five times cheaper than the running cold ads. So that's why you should start with, with retargeting first. And when you've nailed and or exhausted your retargeting, you can then go to cold ads. And that is, it's hard.
But it is really the number one best way to scale an info business is by running cold ads.
That is just a fact. Anybody that's scaled to big numbers, and by big numbers, I mean anything above 300k a month.
They will tell you running ads is a very important part of the strategy to scale. Especially if you want to get to 3, 4, 5, 600,000amonth and beyond, which I've done twice in a row. I scaled my last company to the biggest month we ever had was 824k. And this business, my second consulting business, the biggest month we ever had was 600k and 4. It was either 610 or 604 back in January.
And that's cash collected by the way, not, not revenue. So I've scaled to these numbers twice. Two different businesses, two different niches, different funnels, different approaches in organic and paid different price points. All, all high ticket because I would never be stupid enough to sell low ticket. I'm not dumb. I've learned that that's just a complete and utter waste of time. So always high ticket.
But I can't encourage you more if you are not running ads. Start with retargeting and then go to cold. Now let's just pause here for a second because I imagine that a lot of you watching this, you've probably just got like one key network that you focus on the most and you put most of your time and energy into. And that's a good thing. So, so you should, you're doing the right thing if you're doing that. But I would encourage you, if you're struggling to book calls, make sure that you're deploying all of the strategies that you can on that platform. And when you are, go to a second platform. Now don't go beyond two. Never go beyond two platforms until you've really fully nailed them, they're really working well, and that you've nailed them. And when you've nailed them, add in a third, nail that, spend six months on it, spend 12 months on it, get it right. Then you can add in another network. And this might be Instagram first, then YouTube. Then it might be retargeting ads, then it might be LinkedIn or I'm sure there's some of you watching where LinkedIn is your primary channel. Right? You might want to add in YouTube and then you might want to add in cold ads. Okay, just, again, just, just one by one. And my advice would be just nail the one or two platforms first because otherwise you're going to spread yourself thin, you're going to mess up your focus and things are you just going to get slowed down, essentially.
Now there's two things that we haven't talked about so far, and that is email and cold outreach. Now, I can't with integrity, tell you about cold outreach because although I have done it, I haven't done it to a level where I would feel comfortable teaching it. So I could give you advice, I could give you guidance, and it will probably be pretty, pretty decent. But I'm not going to do that in this video because again, I haven't done it to an extent that would warrant me giving advice. And I want to maintain integrity there. But what I can certainly tell you about is email, because in my last company, email was responsible for about 30% of our revenue and it saved our ass a few times as well. I'll tell you a story. So back in January, I think it was 2022, we came back from Christmas, went to turn the ads back on, all the ads were disapproved and we didn't have ads for about five weeks. Absolutely terrible. It's the best month of the bloody year. We don't have ads, but these things happen. Email was the backbone of booking as many calls as we did and being able to. At least we were still able to make 150, 200, 250 in that, that month. We weren't doing the numbers that we were and we should have.
But we were. We were still able to save our ass and, and make money in that month, largely because of email. The reason email is so powerful is it's kind of like a text message. If you send someone a text, it's not lost in Instagram, it's not lost in WhatsApp, it's not lost in Telegram People tend to check their email and actually really check it and pay attention, which still kind of surprises me in 2025. But it is true. Email is very direct. It's very powerful. You can actually get in front of people. And if you're good at writing copy, and by the way, there's a copywriting video on my channel. So if you want to learn copywriting and go a bit deeper, go and watch that copywriting video later on. But if you're good at writing copy for the subject lines and for the bodies and stuff like that, you can do very well from email and it can really save your ass. And in fact, I want to share an email with you, which is basically my ass saving.
Email. When I need calls, I send this email. It's very powerful. And it's called a nine word email. Now it's not nine words. I don't know why Dean Jackson called it that. But man, this email's made me money. Like made me hundreds of thousands of dollars. And it's this. So the email is. Hi, first name. Do you still need help with what you help with? Let me know your name. So for example, hi, first name. Do you still need help with your trading hit reply and let me know Will.
And it's so simple and so direct and so personalized that will like light up your goddamn inbox. So don't send that email lightly. We did have an email list of about 65,000 leads back in my, my old company. So a big list. But that email is powerful. So be careful with, with that email because it will fucking light up your goddamn inbox. So it's a great tool. You can't abuse it, you can't overuse it. That rhymed. But, but it's so powerful that that goddamn email. So keep that one to yourself. All right? So I've told you my Instagram strategy, I've told you my YouTube strategy, which is in last week's video. I've touched on my email strategy. It's a bit deep to go into in this video to tell you everything about copy and sending times. And I'll give you one more nugget. So when it comes to email, what I've found to work best.
Is to send one email.
Every other day.
Value, value pitch. Value value pitch. What I mean is this. So email number one could be a new YouTube video that you've just put out with a PS to book a call.
The second email could be a story of your journey. P.S. book a call.
The third email could be a problem that they have your dream customer, your dream avatar, how you've solved it for you or for a customer with a more direct link, a bit more of a nudge to book a call. And that's what I would consider a pitch. And if you stick to that flow. So an email every other day. Value, Value. Pitch. That is a really nice cadence. It's not the heaviest in the world, it's not the lightest in the world. It's just, it's just nice, that cadence. And that's what I would do and that's what I do right now with, with my company. And that's what I did in my old company as well.
So right now you're watching this video and hopefully you're getting excited. I've given you a few nuggets and you're thinking, wow, I'm not doing that, I'm going to do that, I'm not doing that, I'm going to do that. So hopefully I've given you a few light bulb moments there. I just want to stress nail one network at once. Two max.
So don't go doing everything in this video. If you're not doing email and you want to focus on Instagram, cool. Or if you're focusing on YouTube, you know, you can add an email, but don't go beyond two. If you're nailing LinkedIn, you could add in say retargeting ads, but don't go further than two networks or else you're going to dilute your focus and you going to get a bit lost. Okay, so nail two networks first, then add a third, nail those networks, then add a fourth, nail those networks, then add a fifth, one by one and you're going to build a whole ecosystem of call booking sources. And when you do that, you're going to find yourself in the same position that I'm in right now where you very consistently book 15, 17, even 20 calls per day.
