Profitable Personal Brand Challenge – Day 3 – GA Session (8pm Bali)

William Brown breaks down five lies blocking profitable personal brands: you don't need fancy equipment, polished content, or complex funnels. He spent 35k preparing, then launched with a phone and cheap mic, built a simple VSL funnel, and landed his first client Oliver Denier at 3k a month. Price based on the outcome value times 10-15%, adjusted for what your customer can actually afford.
Questions this video answers
December 1 (William says he will stop taking new clients and close 1:1 and done-for-you programs as of Dec 1).
First coaching offer was $3,000/month; first closed client named Oliver Denier (3K/month).
Approximately $8.2 million in the last 22 months (claim made during the talk).
He reports spending over $35,000 total on preparation (including about $7,000 on equipment early on).
Up to two videos per week; more than that tends to be ineffective based on his testing.

Hello, everybody.
Hello.
Hello.
Serena. I should have made you my assistant for this, to manage the, manage the chat and let everybody in and stuff. You're a leader.
It's good. Right, let me bloody sort this out and get some zoom. Where is it now? Personal brand.
I'm going to wait till.
Yo, yo, yo.
Let everybody in.
Okie dokie. Okie dokie.
What's going on, everybody? What's new?
Right.
Oh, were you, were you going to.
Cover VSLs again or me?
Who said that?
Me. Tom. I was just wondering if you're going.
To talk more about, like, VSL production.
And who to hire the copyright. Ah, we might get to it. We might get to it, we might not. You'll have to wait and see.
We're definitely going more tactical today, that's for sure. Right, what time is it? So it's pretty much on the hour. I'm going to give it about three minutes, three, four minutes before we dive in. So if anyone wants to get some water, get some tea, get some coffee in a whiskey if you like, you got three or four minutes to do it.
Have a cigarette.
If you're fast. Joseph, where are you, dude? Looks like you're in JBR in Dubai or something.
Let's let ian in.
Let Pauline.
Ah, Nathan's here. Good to see you, my man. You okay?
Yeah, good, thanks, mate. How are you? Yeah, I'm good, mate. How's everything coming along? Yeah, good. Really, really good. I've got the recording of the VSL Monday, so I'll make sure I'm nice and fresh. Get a haircut. Get that recording then. And then, and then on we go. Excellent, excellent. Good. Good work on the work so far, my man. Thanks, Matt.
Right, we'll give it, give it two or three men's. Let everybody in.
Get off this bloody thing.
Participants chat.
Cool. Cool.
All right. All right.
Sebastian.
Okay.
Zoom link for today. There we go. Let's get it.
There we go.
Sorted. Right, cool. Get off this.
Sorted, man.
Okay.
Oh, man, I'm scared. I'm scared for, for today's presentation, man. It's too deep. We're giving too much away.
We've gone too far.
I'm going to give it a few more minutes, then we'll get into it.
Patrick.
I'm going to answer one question before we get started, just to let everybody, everybody in. So, Mohammed, what's the best ad strategy? Someone testing a new offer? What daily budget should I go for? Is it a simple awareness retargeting campaign? Should the call to action be direct to the vsl. Hell, it's like seven questions in one question. It's mental.
Let's see.
What'S the best ad strategy for someone with a new offer? Just run cold ads to a vsl and I suggest that you go with Facebook and Instagram ads because they right now they're performing better than YouTube. What daily budget? Whatever you can afford. But it's better to start, start with less because the less that you spend, the better quality traffic that ad platforms give you. Because they want you to make money when you start so that you spend more with them long term. So they're incentivized to give you the best quality traffic first because if you make money, you'll spend more and they make more money. So you want to start off at quite low budget because then they give you the best traffic. Right. Awareness, retargeting. Well, you, you can't, you can only do retargeting if you've got an existing audience and if you have retarget first, if you don't go straight to cold. Right. Should the call to action be direct to the vsl? Direct to a vsl. Yeah. So it should be add VSL calendar, call was thank you page, then call and you're going to be good to go. Does that, does that help, Mohammed?
Yeah, just have one follow up question from that. So what I was wondering was maybe just have one campaign and inside of that just have one ad set which includes like five creatives. Use that to target cold, cold leads. Maybe when I have the data, maybe one, two weeks in, retarget the same people who saw the ad already with a little bit of testimonials, a little bit of social proof and you know, to further nudge them into booking a call. That's the idea with the question.
Good, ma'.
Am.
Good man. Yeah, that's. That is some advanced stuff where you run cold first, then you retarget people that come through and hit the different pages. But yeah, you're thinking in the right way, mate.
Yeah, thanks, Will. This was really helpful.
No problem, huh? No problem. Right. I'm just letting a few more people in.
There's always some late people. Never mind, it's all good. Okie dokie. Right.
Let'S get into it.
Like these guys. Cool, let's do it. Let me share my screen.
Okay.
All right, let's go for it.
So guys, welcome back. And to those of you still here on day three, well done as well, because some people do drop off. So the fact that you hear that, that shows that you're Putting in the work, you're putting in the effort and it's, it's really great to see. And today we're going to cover the five lies that keep you below 100k per month.
Okay, I'm just going to let this guy in. And we're also going to cover how to destroy every excuse stopping you from building your profitable personal brand in just five days from now. Now, just before we hop into the session today, a few of you have been asking if I'll be making some kind of offer this week and asking if I can work with you to help you to implement everything that we're covering over this five days. And on that topic, I actually want to share something for the very first time and no one else knows about this yet. You guys are literally the first people to find this out. So I'm actually closing down my business on December 1st.
And after this time, I'm not accepting any new clients and I'm not selling anything at all. After this date, full stop, the doors are literally, truly closed. Our VSL funnel is going to completely disappear and it's going to be replaced by a waiting list. And as and when we reopen, I'm going to email out later. But during this time, I'm just going to be putting all of my time and focus into existing clients and getting them the best results possible. I'm Also, as of December 1st, finally closing down my 1 to 1 and done for you programs because we're going to be changing the model entirely when we eventually reopen next year. So if you have been thinking about working with me, this is actually seriously your final chance via either the one to one capacity or the done for you capacity. Because as of December 1, the doors are genuinely closed. And if I do ever offer one to one again, it's going to be a hell of a lot higher rate than it is now. At least double what it's priced at now. So I just want to stress this. This is not a marketing gimmick. This is not some kind of, I don't know, weird thing. I'm genuinely closing the business and stopping taking clients from December 1st. Before we close the doors though, I'd like to invite you to become a client. Because here's the thing, it's all well and good me sharing all of this info with you over this five day challenge and I am genuinely teaching you super valuable stuff here each day that will get you results. But look, nothing beats working together one to one. Nothing beats being able to just get on zoom with you Personally give you access to my training program, give you access to my entire team, put you in a WhatsApp group with me and my entire team and just get in the trenches with you personally to help you out. And after doing this myself twice now and building two eight figure companies and a pretty successful personal brand that's maybe 8.2 million in the last 22 months alone, I would love to either welcome you into the done with you program and do all this with you, or the done for you program so that me and my team can just do this all for you to save you the time and effort and make sure that you just get this right the first time whilst we still offer this. Okay, now if that sounds at all interesting, I want you to book in a call at the link that I'm literally going to put in the Zoom chat for you right now and then a member of my team will run you through what this all looks like along with pricing and everything else. Or you can just go to buildgrow and exit.com forward slash schedule. And look, I personally hate pitching and selling, but one thing that I know is, is that not pitching you guys would actually be unethical because by not pitching you, I'd be letting you down. Because if you want to get the best results, and I know that the best results only come from one to one consulting, then I've got to offer you one to one consulting in order to get you the best results, right? So if you want the shortcut here and you just want to let me and my team do everything for you, so create your offer, build your funnel, write all your copy, set everything up for you, help you to write and produce everything and make sure that everything is done right. Then booking a call via link via the link in the chat before those few slots fill up. Okay. Or again, just go to the website. Bill growinexit.com forward/schedule. Now we can only fit in so many calls because I mean it's only, we've only got five reps and they've only got so much time every day. So go ahead and book in now before all of those slots on the calendar are taken by other people if this interests you. By the way, the fee to work with us is a tax write off, so it's essentially free. Because if you own a business and you pay tax, well I can just get you an invoice so you can claim the price of working with us back as an expense, you would pay the tax anyway, so you might as well invest in working with us instead of just giving that to the government. And we also now offer a no questions asked money back guarantee which hopefully in my opinion makes joining a complete no brainer, which you can find out more about again on the the call that you've booked in. Finally, just before we get into the presentation today, I've told my team to give you, those of you who join one of our programs, something extra for free on the call. And you can find out what that is when you you book in. And just consider that a gift to those of you who've joined this five day challenge and who go ahead and join one of our programs, just make sure to tell my team that you are one of the attendees and of this event so that that actually gets given to you. And I think you're going to be surprised at what that is as well. I'm excited to share that with you guys that hop in. So go ahead and book in your call at the link in the chat. And with that said, let's get into today's presentation and then we'll cover the questions that you guys have when we, when we wrap up. So again, let's start with the principle, as we always do. So today I want to cover the five lies that keep 99% of people from ever building a profitable, profitable personal brand. And every single one of these is designed to keep you paralyzed in the planning phase instead of making money in the execution phase, which is what we're going to focus on today, the execution phase. Now these aren't just innocent misconceptions. They're psychological barriers that have been programmed into your brain by an industry that profits from your hesitation. So the personal branding gurus, they want you to believe these lies because the longer that you spend preparing, the more courses you're going to buy, the more equipment you're going to buy, the more coaching programs that you're going to buy from these very people. But here's what they don't want you to know, okay? Every single barrier that they've convinced you exists can actually be eliminated in less than a week. So the five day breakthrough that I'm handing you and teaching you today, it's not about having more time to figure things out. It's about having so little time that you can't overthink your way out of taking action. I want you guys getting on with this stuff today, tomorrow, this week, next week, and going out there and getting results. And I'm going to show you how to do that today. Now, when you only have five days to solve your problems well, you stop looking for perfect solutions and you start implementing good enough solutions that actually, actually work and will often get you even better results.
Now, you should know this from the last two days of learning from my experience, because this has certainly been true for me. Perfect solutions keep you broke. Good enough solutions make you rich. And the five lies are specifically designed to attack the five areas where most people get stuck, which from my experience, is equipment, content, ideas, the creation process, offer development, and pricing strategy. Those are the five areas where I see people get stuck the most often. But when you understand what each lie is really designed to do, which is to keep you from starting, you can systematically destroy them one by one. So let's do that in today's session so that you can get started, get building, and get results.
So what if I told you that every excuse that you have for not starting your personal brand was actually planted in your head by someone making money from your inaction? And what if those same excuses are the exact reason why you will never build a profitable business unless you destroy them completely? Now, I want to share a story just to illustrate my point here. So in 1519 Spanish. I can't even say that word. I'm just going to say conqueror. Spanish conqueror. Hernan Cortez landed on the coast of Mexico with 600 men and a seemingly impossible mission to conquer the massive Aztec empire with a force that was outnumbered a thousand to one. And his men were obviously terrified. Right, and rightfully so. They'd spent weeks on the ship thinking about all the reasons why the mission would fail. They didn't have enough weapons. They didn't know the terrain. They didn't speak the language. They were vastly outnumbered, and they had no backup plan if things went wrong. Every logical analysis of the situation suggested that they could just turn around. They should just turn around and go home. Now, Cortez, the leader, listened to all their concerns, nodded thoughtfully, and then did something that changed the course of history. He told his men to burn the ships, burn the boats. Every single vessel that brought them to Mexico was destroyed, eliminating any possibility of retreat. And suddenly, all those reasonable excuses became irrelevant. They couldn't worry about not having enough weapons because they had to work with what they had. They couldn't worry about not knowing the terrain because that they had to learn it or they had to die. Right. They couldn't worry about being outnumbered because retreat was no longer an option. And with their excuses literally going up in smoke, Cortez and his men did the impossible. They conquered the Aztec Empire in Less than two years. Not because they had better equipment or superior numbers, but because they had eliminated every excuse from not moving forwards and getting things done. So what's the lesson here? Well, sometimes the biggest barrier to success is not the challenge itself. It's having too many ways to avoid facing the challenge and doing the bloody work. Having too many excuses holding you back. Now, to come back to my story. I learned this lesson in the most painful way possible when I spent about five months preparing to launch my personal brand and making pretty much $0 in the process when I could. And I should have been making money. And this was in the lead up to selling my company. And despite preparing my business for sale, realistically, I was fully removed from operations and I had all the time and money in the world to do it right when it came to building my personal brand. Now, you might not know this, but up Until September of 2023, I did not have an Instagram at all. And I didn't have a YouTube channel at all. I had no personal brand whatsoever. My last business, for those that don't know this, was actually faceless. Faceless ads, faceless VSL, faceless YouTube videos, even sales calls were done with my camera turned off. No one ever saw my face. They only ever heard my voice. And that was for about five years. And essentially, I was completely unknown. People knew my voice and my name, but they didn't know my face. And throughout the exit process, when getting ready to launch my personal brand to then go into business consulting, well, I fell for every single lie that I'm about to expose you to, and it nearly cost me my entire opportunity. So lie number one, hit me first. You need professional equipment before you start. So as I told you yesterday, I spent weeks researching cameras, microphones, lighting setups, editing software. I created spreadsheets comparing different options which watched hours of YouTube reviews. I even hired a consultant to design my optimal content creation studio. And by the time that I'd purchased everything, I'd spent about $7,000 and convinced myself I was getting serious about my personal brand. Then came lie number two.
You need a content strategy and a business plan full of ideas before you record your first video. So I bought courses on content planning.
I bought.
I hired a strategist to help develop my brand voice. I spent weeks creating detailed outlines for a hundred different video topics. I even hired a YouTube coach for 15 grand before I even had a channel or a single video produced. The guy thought that I was crazy, but I thought that I was doing the right thing. I had color Coded spreadsheets, editorial calendars, content management systems that looked like something NASA would use to plan a Mars mission. It was. It was pretty bad. Then came line number three, which was the craziest. You need to learn video editing and thumbnail design and social media optimization before you publish anything. So what did I do? I enrolled in online courses for Adobe premiere for YouTube SEO. To make sure that I was ready. I spent entire weekends learning about keyword research, thumbnail psychology, and viral video formulas. And I convinced myself I was being strategic and professional and actually making progress. Then came lie number four, which nearly killed my motivation completely, which was, you need to develop the perfect high ticket offer before you can start building an audience. Now, looking back, this was just stupid because I still spent months researching what other coaches were selling in the business consulting space, analyzing their pricing structures and trying to reverse engineer the success before ever taking action. So I created detailed customer avatars, wrote sales pages for products I'd never sold, and built elaborate sales funnels for an audience I didn't even have. Again, crazy stupid. But. But this is what I did. Line number five was the final nail in the coffin. You need to charge low prices when you're starting out to build credibility first. Now, I convinced myself that I should start with 1k a month for consulting, then maybe work up higher. And eventually, after years of building my reputation and brand, I might be able to charge somewhere around 5k like the big guys. And this lie paralyzed me and made me almost not bother starting at all. So despite scaling a company to 16.4 million, despite selling it to private equity, deep down I still felt imposter syndrome. Because I'd never actually consulted anyone before on building or growing their business. I'd only kind of done it for myself. And this is super common, right? Nowadays, loads of extremely high level professionals come to me to learn how to sell their knowledge and build their personal brand. And almost all of them are scared of charging what they're worth. Maybe you are as well. Some of you watching this today, maybe some of you on this call know how good you are, know how much value you have to bring to the world. But you're also making those two final killer mistakes. Thinking you need to develop the perfect high ticket offer before you can start building an audience. And thinking that you need to charge low prices when you're starting out to build credibility first, take it from me, those are not only not true, but they're costing you a bloody lot of money. Okay, now back to my story. After months of preparation, I'd spent over 35 grand on equipment, courses, coaching, learning. I'd consumed hundreds of hours of training, content, created elaborate systems for a business and a service that didn't even exist yet. I had zero audience and zero revenue from my business consulting that I wanted to do. And then one day, my sales team, manager of the company that I was in the process of exiting, called me out in the most direct way possible. So Will, he said, you've been preparing to start this whole personal brand thing for months. When are you actually going to start posting videos? And that question hit me like a brick to the face. I realized I'd become so addicted to preparation because it felt like progress without requiring me to face the possibility of failure. So I made a decision that changed everything. I gave myself exactly five days to eliminate every excuse that I'd been using. And I want to give you guys the same five days today. So day one, I packed up all of my expensive equipment and decided to just use my imac built in camera and a $30 lapel microphone that I bought off Amazon ages ago that was sat in a drawer so I could just get videos made right away with no faffing around. Day two, I threw all of my content plans away, committed to talking about whatever was on my mind and just thought, let's just keep it simple and share value. And I had this idea. I thought, what would I want to watch?
And I wished my earlier mentors just sat down and shared their ideas and strategies. I just, I used to think, man, imagine if Warren Buffett just made Talking Head videos along his journey. Imagine if Sam Ovens made Talking Head videos along his journey. So I thought, well, if that's what I would want, then people will probably want that from me. So I committed to do just that for my audience. It's very powerful to think that way. Day three, I decided to record and upload videos without any editing whatsoever. And I was pissed off because I'd waited so long and I just wanted to go. I just wanted to get stuff out there and not overthink. And this turned out to be one of the best decisions that I've ever made. Day 4, I created a simple coaching offer. It was 3k a month on a cancel anytime basis for one call per week with me and access to my elearning accelerator course. And I made a simple VSL for my landing page without even using a script. I just talked about who I can and can't help. On day five, I decided my prices were non negotiable and I would never apologize for charging what I was worth. I set the price and I thought, the right people will buy it, the wrong people won't, and that's okay. Now, just a nugget for you guys here. Price should be used to attract the right people who understand what you have to that understand that you have to pay for value and also to repel the wrong people as well. That's the best use of price. On day six, I recorded my first real video and uploaded it immediately to YouTube without overthinking it. And that video got, at the time, 547 views. And it generated two coaching inquiries within seven days, one of which I closed at 3K a month. And in fact, that guy's name was Oliver Denier and he was my first ever business consulting client. In fact, his Testimonial is on YouTube as you can see below. It's on the William Brown testimonials YouTube channel. So much, much respect to Oliver for being my first ever, first ever 3K client. And the aha moment was devastating, but also liberating at the same time. Every single thing that I'd spent months preparing was completely unnecessary. So worse than unnecessary, it was actually counterproductive because it had prevented me from getting the only feedback that mattered, market feedback. And if I could give all of you on this call one piece of advice, it's this. Do not make the same mistake that I did. Don't prepare, don't overthink, don't over plan. Just, just do what needs to be done. And if for some reason you can't do it alone, just. Just hire a coach, hire a consultant, hire a copywriter, hire someone who can do it and just get them to help you to bloody do it and get it done. Don't prepare. Just go and get it done. Take action now, today, because done is always better than perfect. Do whatever you need to do now. So make your first YouTube video ASAP. Make your first Instagram reel asap. Booking a call via the link in the description that I shared. If you need any help with this stuff, make a mess, clean it up. Make a mess, clean it up. I that honestly that has made me so much money. Just get it done. Learn, make it better. Get it done. Learn, make it better. And if you need help, get help and get it done. Okay, now I want you to think about learning to ride a bicycle, because this analogy will completely change how you think about preparation versus action. Okay? Now here's the truth about learning to ride a bike. You can read every book ever written about cycling. You can Study the physics of two wheeled vehicles, and you can analyze the techniques of professional cyclists. But none of that is going to prepare you, right, to stay upright the first time you get on a bike. The only way to learn balance is to get on a bike and fall down a few times. Your brain needs to experience the actual sensation of correcting your balance in real time. It needs to develop the muscle memory that comes from just making tiny adjustments hundreds of times per second. No amount of theoretical knowledge can substitute for that experiential learning. And the same principle applies to building a personal brand and to building a business and to building anything. Building a funnel, writing a vso, writing ads, right? You can study content strategy and equipment reviews and pricing psychology until you have a PhD in personal branding theory. But none of that knowledge is going to help you create content that actually connects with your audience. The only way to learn what works is to put something out there and see how people respond. And your first video, it's going to be wobbly, right? Just like your first time on a bike. But the wobbling is a sign that you know. It's not a sign that you're not ready. It's a sign that you're learning. Okay? Every comment, every view, every inquiry is your brain developing the balance that you need to build a profitable personal brand. So the people who spend months pre, they're like adults who are still reading books about bicycles while five year olds are riding bicycles around them. Like I was talking about in the Q and A earlier, this is why batching content is so important. Because you're basically just, you're putting it out there to the market and saying, hey guys, do you like this? Is this what you want? No. Okay, no worries. Let's change style, let's change length, let's change topic, right? Let's talk about a different problem that the avatar has. Does this work? No. Okay, well, let's try one more time. Let's try whiteboard videos, let's try talking head videos, let's try podcast studio videos. Eventually you get a big video, you get an outlier, and it's like, great, there we go. That's what the market wants. Get on the bloody bike and don't be scared of falling off, okay? Preparation without execution is just procrastination in disguise. Now let me break down exactly how to destroy each of these lies in five days so that you can go out there and get to work and make this stuff happen. Day one, the equipment lie again. You need professional equipment to be taken seriously. No, you. No, you Don't. Your smartphone camera is better than the equipment Steven Spielberg used to make Jaws. Think about that. How crazy is that? Use whatever camera and microphone that you already have. And if you don't have a microphone, buy the cheapest one on Amazon. Like I did my little lapel thing. That's it. No research, no comparisons, no optimization. Buy one, move on, get it done. Record a test video with your basic setup. And if people can see your face clearly and hear your voice clearly, you have everything that you need to make millions over the coming months and years, like I have. Okay, Day two, the content lie. So again, you need months of content planned before you can start. No, you don't. The best content will come from responding to your audience's natural, actual questions, which you can't know until you have an audience in the first place. So when you start, you just have to start. And like I was saying earlier, you've just got to take your best guess. That's the only way. You've just got to take the most informed guess that you can. So make a list of the 10 biggest mistakes that you have made in your area of expertise, right? Or the 10 biggest problems that you have solved, or the 10 biggest questions that you have answered through experience, and each one of those becomes a video topic. And if you do all three of those well, three times 10 is 30 video ideas. That's 30 weeks of content right there, which is about seven months of YouTube videos already planned out. So if you work in, let's say, real estate development, well, what are your 10 biggest mistakes that you've made? What are the 10 biggest problems you've solved? What are the 10 biggest questions that you've answered? If you're a trader, what are the 10 biggest trading mistakes you've made? What are the 10 biggest trading problems you've sold? What are the 10 biggest trading questions that you've answered through your experience? Write all of those down. Boom. You've got 30 video ideas, you've got 30 real ideas, you've got 30 mock podcast questions, and you've got tons of content there to go out. That's how simple it is. Okay? Now, don't worry about being strategic or optimized. If you're making, I would say, any less than 50k a month. Do not worry about being strategic or optimized. Just commit to turning each answer into a video. And just think of a title first. Right? This is. This is what I do. Give it a day or two to sit in your head and then press, record, talk, stop upload just like I do and always have done on my channel to create my my best videos. Day three the content line. So you need to master editing thumbnails and optimization before publishing. No, you don't. The truth is, YouTube and Instagram, they want you to post consistently, not, not perfectly. Right. They want you to do volume, just like when you first run ads. They don't want you to not make money and turn them off. They want you to make a bit of money, get excited and start spending more. Okay, so here's what I want you to do. Record and upload without any editing. Keep it raw, keep it real, keep it authentic. Create simple thumbnails using a screenshot from the video itself. And by the way, that really helps with retention. Ah, in fact, I've written this on the slide. There we go. Yeah, this helps with retention as people know what they're getting before they click. That is actually a little retention hack that I've learned there where if your thumbnail matches the start of the video, it's got so much congruency that it really helps with watch time. Okay, Little secret that I've learned there. Finally, just copy my exact YouTube description. So it just has the following, right? There's a screenshot here. If you do your description like this, literally just like this, it is going to boost conversion so much. You might even want to take a screenshot of this or just, I don't know, go and go and look at it on my, my channel later. This is all that you need, right? So can you see a work with me link? Right, so work with me. And then a link to your vsl, a short bio about you, and a link to a personal website with a picture of you and a bio about you. And again, you can just go to mine, just go to williambrown.com later on and it's just a picture. All the stuff that I've done, bit of copy about me pushes back to YouTube. That's it. And then your social media like you see there. Honestly, we tested the bio so many different ways. Different copy, different links, different layouts, different sizes. This converts the best. So just, just copy this. It works the best.
So the goal is to develop a posting habit, right? Not to win a film festival or an award for the best website or the best YouTube description. 1 Running theme that you'll see about me is a lot of my stuff is pretty. So the video quality is pretty. Audio is kind of website is pretty. You know, the funnel is not the best, but it's funny, scrappy, often Converts the highest, you know. And I've, I've learned this the hard way. I've learned this through, through real life testing. It's made me loads of money. And again, don't overthink it. Just copy, just copy what I do. Again, it's maybe 8.2 million USD cash collected in the last 22 months. So this stuff is just, I am just telling you everything during this five days. I'm just laying it all out for you. Day four, the offer line. You need to spend months developing the perfect product or service. Nope. No you don't. No, you don't. Your market will tell you what they want to buy, but only after they trust you enough to tell you their real problems. You have to post in order for them to find you and connect with you and comment and tell you their problems. So here's the solution. Create a simple coaching offer that solves one specific problem that you know how to solve. Make a dead simple VSL like mine and you can go and just watch mine and you'll see how it, how it's written and built. Well, you just talk about what you do, how you do it, who you can help and who you can't help. And again, don't, don't overthink it. Simple is best. You can always improve your offer or your VSL later, after you've made your first sale. But you can't improve an offer or VSL that doesn't exist and has no data behind it in the first place. So don't let your ego fool you into trying to be perfect. Right? You don't have the experience or data to be perfect yet. And that's okay. That's not a bad thing. Just, just start day number five, the pricing lie. This is one of my favorite ones. You need to charge low prices when you're starting out. No, no you don't. People judge the value of your solution, often based on what you charge for it. So set your prices based on the value that you deliver, not on your insecurities about being new. Not on or 4k just sounds good, or 6k just sounds good or whatever. Base it on value. Okay. And here's exactly how to know what to charge in three easy steps.
So this is my pricing paradigm that I actually invented just to make pricing a lot easier. So number one, if someone bought from you today, what would the outcome be after a year? After 12 months. So fast forward 12 months and where are they? What value have they got? How much more money have they made? And take 10 to 15% of that figure, that's number one. So if you can make someone say 100 grand in 12 months, 10 to 15%. About 10k ish 8, 10, 12, 15k. Secondly now you're going to ask, well, what can my avatar afford though? All right, so you might have settled on let's say 8K. But if you're selling to, if you're selling a knitting community.
I don't think anyone's going to pay 8k for a knitting community.
Right?
And vice versa. So 12 month value is number one, avatar affordability is number two. And thirdly, what do you feel you're worth genuinely, what do you want to charge? Right? The way that I price these days I just ask myself what do I want to charge and I ask my gut rather than logic these days. So 12 month value, Avatar affordability, what you feel you're worth, right? And then draw a line through the middle of the answers to find the right price. Remember, you're not charging for your time, you're charging for the results that you're going to deliver. And like I said earlier, price is a filter. You know, the right people will see the value and buy because they know that you have to pay for value, right? And only smart people know that the wrong people will be repelled and they won't buy, which is exactly what you actually want. You know, you want the wrong people to go away, you want the right people to come in. And after destroying those five lies, something incredible happens. You stop being paralyzed by possibilities and you start being motivated by progress. You stop preparing for someday and start profiting today.
So stop being a student of personal branding and start being a practitioner who gets paid. And the five day breakthrough. It's not just about eliminating excuses. It's about rewiring your brain to prioritize action over analysis and over procrastination as well. Because at the end of the day, the market doesn't care how much you've prepared, right? It only cares whether you can solve their problems. And the only way that you can prove that you can solve their problems is to stop talking about it and start actually doing it. Make the videos, make the reels, write a bloody, I don't know, vsl. Write your ads. Go and just, just be scrappy. Go and make a mess and clean it up later, okay? Your excuses have been keeping you safe, but they've also been keeping you broke. And it's time to burn the ships and see what you're really capable of again. Don't, don't let your ego Stop you. Because done is better than perfect. So go and make a mess and then go and clean it up. That's the best way to learn. So there we have it. That's it for day three. And tomorrow we're going to cover my raw authority method strategy plus my exact numbers and my exact infrastructure so that you can copy it all and start implementing this the minute that this challenge is over. Okay? Tomorrow I'm also going to cover a few optimizations with you just to make sure that your social media bios are written properly, your profile pics and banners are made properly, and a few of the little hacks and tricks that you can use to boost sales that most people either don't know or they overlook entirely. So make sure that you're here for that tomorrow. Next, as always, let's cover a few questions that you guys have until the top of the hour. So, yeah, get your questions in the zoom chat and let's. Let's cover some of them together to the top of the hour and I'll get these in the, in the group for you. Right, so let's dive into some questions.
Did any of you freak out that I'm. That I'm turning my business off, by the way, from December? Let's cover some of these. I'm retiring. It's crazy. Right? Let's start with this one at the top. Nitish Charlie Morgan has this crazy guarantee that if people don't get results, he'll refund and wire two grand to say sorry. What's your opinion about using guarantees like this? My Internet is buggy, so I'm not on call. Are you still there? Nitish?
Nitish, are you there?
He's bounced. He's had enough. He's gone to make some videos. He's. He's taking action. He's going to make a mess and clean it up. Bless him. Good man. Yeah, Charlie Morgan. If you read the guarantee, he doesn't refund the money, he gives you a credit towards future programs. So it's a bit of a lie. Might you want to look into that?
Let's cover Will's one. So follow up yesterday pricing structure, increasing the gap. Oh, okay. Yeah. Will, are you around? Dude.
Is that. Am I muted?
Oh, no, it's me. Sorry, I'm here.
Oh, no worries, dude. No worries. Right, so let's pick up where we pick were yesterday. What's on your mind, dude?
Well, I was thinking about it and I've split the two things into let's do 1, 2, 7, 9 and then do like 2k and then 2k, you get everything. And I was just thinking of the deliverables on the 1279 and that's what I was thinking about because whether I should just like make the video course and just give that. Or like only give three calls. I was just having questions on how I should deliver it.
Yeah, for sure. So let me just write this down, right? Just tell me all of the deliverables in both of them. Let me just write them down.
Well, all of them in the 2k one would be a private calendar so you can book whenever you want up to once a week. You get custom emails and obviously support throughout the entire process. And also WhatsApp, which we voice note and whatnot. You get a client portal which has a bunch of resources, obviously dialysis, supplement stuff, all that kind of thing.
I think that's the bulk of it. And then we do like check in forms as well. And then you get a discovery form when we first joined, just map out and a profile for your specific situation and all those things.
Okay. Welcome onboarding. Right, so I'm gonna. This is what it seems to look like. So when you come in, you get like a welcome custom onboarding process thing to help you. Then you get one call a week with you. Yeah. Then you get custom emails made for you and support along the way. Yep. You get full time WhatsApp access. Is that like every day? Every day?
No, I don't check in with them every day. It's just if they have questions during, I answer.
Okay, okay. And they get a client portal and they get check in forms as well.
Yeah, every week.
Do they need all that to get results?
No, they don't need all of it. Like the WhatsApp people don't really use that much anyway. It's just there, the checking forms, they might not even use that much. It's mainly the action plans in terms of the emails I send after the call because in the call I have to find out what their situation is and then they have a plan, they can go and do it.
Yeah, yeah, for sure. So this is, this is what you really want. Right. So just to give you an example, so at the moment we have the three offers group one to one done for you. It's the exact same offer, just different levels of proximity and speed.
Right. So it's.
Whatever program you choose, you're going to get the result. It's just how fast do you want to get it and how much support do you, do you need? That's what, that's the Real difference. Right. So that's a really good way to separate your tiers is things like WhatsApp, anytime, one to one calls, custom done for you work and stuff. So I would say of all these things, what can we strip away to have a more basic version that say the 11297 and then we can give all of this. I would just do 2297, just like an extra thousand and just keep it simple. And that's the separation that you're going for. They're still going to get results either way. One's just bigger and better and faster and therefore you pay a bit more for it. Does that make sense?
Yeah, yeah. And are you thinking we still keep it like 12 weeks for both of them? It's just that the level of access differs.
Exactly, exactly. It's just the, again, it's like proximity and speed and, and help, which you. You're paying more for because it's more value.
Okay, okay, that makes sense. And when would you layer in something like group coaching or is that beyond where I'm at right now?
I'm surprised that you don't have that in there, to be honest. So that could be something that you add to the higher tier and that could make it even more valuable. Right. So just think of it like the people that pay the least, they are, they're basically saying, look, I'm going to pay less, but I'll do more work myself and I'll go through a bit more struggle and pay less. Then the people that pay the most are like they're paying for everything. And the speed and the proximity and the extra calls and all that stuff, that's what the extra value is priced for, you know? Okay.
Okay. Could I do a call with the lower tier like every month instead of like every week? Something like that. Right.
Well, you're the boss. It's your business. You can do whatever you want.
Yeah, yeah, I suppose so. I'm just trying to think.
I'll just make calls if you like.
Yeah. Okay. And then is there, is there a cap of how many like clients you take on one on one or no?
Well, this is part of the reason why we're temporarily closing the business, actually, because we just want to.
Focus on clients more than scale for a little while, so. Well, there's always a limit, but the limit's different for everybody. You know, we found that our limit is about 700k a month. And beyond that, it's just too much, you know, it's just too much.
And how many people is that like one to one.
So at the moment we've got 54. The max was about 70, 72.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay, cool. I'll let someone else get in now anyway. Thank you though.
No worries, mate. No worries. My pleasure. All right, let's see. See what else we got. Nathan, are you still around? Dude?
I'm still here.
Amazing. Amazing. So I'm gonna do retargeting ads like you suggested first. But what kind of ads are better? Dm. So DM are the easiest and they're usually profitable the fastest, but you can't scale them as far. When you start to get above like $100 a day, they just start to break really. So DM ads are the easiest and fastest, but you can't scale them. VSL ads are harder and you can scale them. And a webinar is the hardest, but is the best. So it's kind of like short term pain for long term gain really. On, on, on the, the three different ones, I would just go vsl. Like I would just, just crack a vsl. Cause a VSL can get you to multi six figures a month.
That was kind of the next part of that question there.
Yeah. Oh, okay, let me read it. So is there a good ad spend compared to the other ad spend? If I did a VSL ad, I often saw the VSL in the pipeline after we qualify them in the DMs. But you're selling drive ads directly to the VSL. I'm a little bit tricky shy running ads because I've been burned doing shout outs. 60k. How the fuck did you lose 60k?
I just did it for six months to try it. Yeah.
Sake. You shouldn't give him giving me that 60k if you're just gonna waste it. I'll give it to me. No, no, seriously though.
The best funnel is I got some clients from it. I mean it was not complete loss, but it, you know, you feel like it when it.
I know.
Back onto other stuff compared to what you should have done.
You know, we've all been there. We, we've all been there, man. But a VSL funnel is by far the most stable, the most controllable, the most scalable. You should just do that, right? Do add to a vsl. No opt in with a button that goes to a calendar, to a thank you page to a call. That is by far the most efficient funnel, man. By far the most efficient.
No opt in.
No opt in.
Okay, that's interesting.
Okay. Because I've tested this so much for me and for clients and you on our last test it was about 30 odd percent cheaper calls without an opt in and it simply made more. Simply made more money.
Cool.
I'll try that.
Yep, that's what I'd say for that. I've made my money doing IGDM outbounds, but I don't do video intros. Can you elaborate on that? Is it a custom video for every person or one video? If. Yeah, let's answer this. So again like how much are you making a month right now, Matt?
100K.
About 100k. And what is the goal that you want to scale to.
5?
I want to do a million a month, but 500amonth would be great.
Yeah, yeah, that's about where we are now. So.
And are you running any ads at all right now?
No.
No. Okay.
That's why we're doing retargeting ads. That's. I think that they're low hanging fruit there I've been not doing.
But yeah, that that's what I would do. So if I was you, knowing what I know I would do a bit of retargeting first. Keep it low scale. That's going to book you more call so you can close and scale a bit further. I might, might get you an extra 50, 70, maybe 100 from a targeting. If you want to get up to five, you need to do what we just said. Add vsl, book calls for a good cost and get them close and that will get you to five. And I know that because we're doing about five to six right now. So you know, so that's that. Now the selfie video, it's just one video and we just send it to everybody basically. So if you follow me on Instagram, you're going to get the video. My setter will send it to you and chat to you and. And that's it, we just send it to every single follower?
Yeah. Okay.
That's simple enough.
Yeah.
Is it a loom video or just a YouTube video that it is.
It's like as if you were uploading a video from your phone. So my setup on his phone and that just goes straight in. In the chat that books is about an extra 80 calls, 90 calls a month just from the the setter video. So that works well. What else? If I'm restarting my YouTube, I'm wanting to do the reps quickly doing 10 talking head whiteboard podcast. Release this once, once per day. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Definitely not. What do you think about. Yeah, see look.
I'VE tested this. Clients have tested this. Dude, the maximum is two a week, man. Like, if you go more than that, it's just ineffective.
Yeah.
Interesting.
Yeah.
Okay, so two a week.
Two. Two a week is, is, is really nice. And just as long as the videos are really good, they're really quality. If you do two a week consistently, you almost can't not get leads and calls and sales. Yeah.
What about lives?
I can't really answer that with integrity because I've never done them, to be honest. I don't, I don't really have experience in that.
What about reps for webinars? Like, I'm like, I'm not afraid to do reps. Like, I've done it for a long time.
Yeah.
Where I just. You just muscle the volume, you know, completely. And so, like.
Yeah.
Doing webinars every day, you know, doing lives every day. Doing videos, reels every day.
Yeah. Well, dude, I mean, a webinar made me my first, like, seven, eight, $9 million, like back in the day. So webinars work. Webinars work really well.
That you could. Honestly, you could do either. You could do a webinar. You could do a VSL webinar to a sales call. I'm talking there, right? Yeah, but honestly, you'll do more volume through a vsl and the volume makes up. Like, you could either do. You could do a webinar, but it'd be lower volume or a vsl, but it'd be higher volume. And you're kind of going to do the same thing. You know, honestly, you could, you could flick a coin. You're going to achieve the same outcome.
I try some.
That.
Cool. You ready to go.
By the man?
Yes.
Amazing, man.
Joining you in just a little bit too. So that'll be always fun.
Let's go, man. Let's go. Fantastic.
Are all your calls 4:00am though, Will?
Oh, well, I've asked us. I've tried to get the sales team to do some extra slots. You might have to book in for like, Thursday or Friday if you can't book in just Instagram.
I'm talking about the coaching calls. I already took a coach. I already took a sales call. I'm joining you guys. But I'm, I'm talking about the coaching calls with you because it's in.
Oh. Oh, yeah, yeah. Dude, I've got a call after this at 11:00pm.
Yeah, so I, I do the calls all the time. I do the calls all the time. So don't, don't worry about that.
Awesome, man.
Amazing. Amazing. Looking forward to welcoming you in. Okay, what else have we got down here, Neil? I'm thinking me to find my dream clients.
Where's Marta at? Marta, are you still around?
Hi Willius. I'm still around.
Amazing. How are you? You good?
Yes, I'm good, thank you. How are you?
I'm good, I'm good. So let's, let's cover this question. So you were a former cabin crew member, built a community after sharing the journey of being rejected before finally getting the dream job in the Middle East. Over time began helping aspiring cabin crew through the hiring process. First for free, later through an ebook. This is great man. Challenge is this. Many of my clients come from countries with weaker currencies, so I'm afraid to raise prices even though I know my services are undervalued. Question is, how can I overcome the fear of increasing prices whilst keeping my services accessible? Well, one thing you could do, I'll just throw a few ideas at you. Right. One thing you could look at is financing. You know, there's companies out there that will like pay you in full, but the customer can finance it over a year or two years. Right. That is something that can really help is like financing what do it through, split it. I take it off of finance and do it. There's loads of financing options. That's one. Right. Another option would be for you to just offer longer payment plans maybe on, on higher prices. And honestly you might be surprised. Like what, what I usually do when I want to raise prices is I just do it in two month tests. So like say, say you're charging 5k right now and it's, it's, I don't know, not November. So what, what is your pricing by the way right now?
All right, so when it comes to pricing, I have an ebook. So it's like low ticket, $30 and then calls is just a hundred dollars. You know, it's 90 minutes calls and the premium cabin crew course which is like seven hours of video calls with, with me one on one as well. And it's 5, $500.
Cool.
So it's very low. You know, they, they can earn like 3k a month in the Middle east as a cabin crew members, you know. So I know that the price is, it's very low. But the clients are usually from, you know, India, Pakistan.
Vietnam, Thailand, you know, that's why I have this.
For sure. Yeah, I, I completely get it. Well, saw so many things come to mind. I'm trying to just give you the most important stuff. So what I was going to say a second ago is right. Just test raising everything and just give it. Just give it a month. And I think you might be surprised at the outcome. You will probably just make more money, right? We've done this in the past. We used to charge like 4.8. And then we were like, let's just go to 5.8 for two months and just see what happens. And we just made more money. We were like, let's go to 6.8, just see what happens. Two, three months later. Just made more money. Was like, oh, wow, let's go to seven, you know, and you just slowly raise it. You've got to give it time to work, though. Don't raise it, get scared and put it back down in a week. Raise it, give it a month, look at the data. Raise it, give it a month, look at the data. And eventually you'll find the sweet spot. Eventually you'll raise it and sales will go down and you'll be like, oh, okay, go back and it fixes it. And you've also almost got a test like a scientist, right? And just remove emotion from. From the equation.
Thank you. Thank you, Will. Yeah, really, I will try. I will implement everything.
Brilliant, brilliant. Good stuff. And just make the value clear. Because if you can make them like 3k a month, then Jesus Christ. I mean, they should be paying you 1k, 2k, 3k. You know, so.
Yeah, definitely, yeah. 100. Thank you so much, Will. Thank you. I will do.
No worries. My pleasure, My pleasure. Okay, what else have we got here? So, Yoni, Carl, I've only got a few minutes left about this raw. We still work for B2B. Yes. So, Henry, would it work for B2B service providers, agencies, like. Yeah, of course, dude. 100. Yeah, of course. No problem at all.
Brian, is it possible to have the PDFs? Yes. Yeah, no worries. What I'll do is I'll put the recording and I'll also put all the PDFs in the. The Facebook group for you guys so that you've got them.
Thank you so much for that. Okay.
Yep, no worries, man. No worries. I've got you. What else? Call link.
Will, you love selling? Yes, I do. All right. I kind. I don't like pitching, but I do like selling. Yeah, you caught me out there, Joseph. First 10 minutes. Yeah, got to be done, man. Got to be done. Don't worry about that. Why you woring? There's really a good assistant who told me his little story. That's booked.
Call.
Yeah, exactly, exactly. What else have we got? Right I'll end on this one. So will do you like to use YouTube as top of funnel discovery method for your personal brand or would you use it as a lead magnet?
Bit of both. Bit of both. So YouTube is good for organic discovery and that creates the best customers and the highest paying customers. But also YouTube is the perfect thing for ads as well because when people see your ad they go to your funnel, but then they go on YouTube and search you and Instagram and search you and Google and search you. And YouTube is the most powerful like nurture mechanism essentially. So I always say you should have a YouTube before you run ads because YouTube provides natural nurture and makes your ads work better and be more profitable long term. That's one thing that I've learned and.
It'S part of that bill.
Yeah, sure, go for it, man.
Sorry. Because it was my question, my target audience, they're, they're, they're mainly on TikTok. I target TikTok affiliates. So I've always thought, should I link my TikTok in my bio on my YouTube or would that be a distraction for my funnel? Or should I just go ahead and link a webinar option in my YouTube description as like a call to action or do you think it could water down the attention? What would you do?
Dude, I would do what I showed you in the presentation earlier, where the very top of your description links to a VSL or a webinar that max. We've tested hiding it and we've tested showing it and we've tested different copy and what we have now is the best for conversion, basically.
Yeah, link just a webinar in the description.
Exactly. And also one great thing to do is use YouTube videos as emails as well. So you can turn them into emails, link back to the video and it kind of is really helpful for your, your ecosystem.
You know, I thought about that including a YouTube video link in my email. So it's like, yeah, check this video out that I've just released. And then before they know it, they've just watched a one hour video of me talking. So that's a cool strategy.
Yes, it is. Yeah. And we do this as well. Like every Monday you'll see like a big email about the video and then the video there for you to watch as well. It's kind of, it's kind of both, you know.
Great.
Thank you, Will.
Yeah, no worries, no worries. Well guys, I'm gonna have to hop for today because I've got a call to take, but I think for Thursday and Friday I'm gonna stay on with you guys a little bit later, probably Friday. I'll probably stay an extra hour after the teaching session and just cover as many questions for you guys as I possibly can. So make sure that you're here for that. Otherwise, guys, thanks for your time today. I hope that you're loving it. I'll post the recording straight away for you guys later on, and I'll see you back here for day four tomorrow. Take care for now. Cheers, Phil. Pleasure, mate. See you soon, guys. Take care for now.
