Hey, guys, it's Will. And in this video, I want to tell you the story of how I recently flew home to England to buy my dad a brand new Porsche Macan. Just the, the whole story, because it's pretty.
I'm getting overwhelmed just kind of thinking about telling the story, actually, because it's just a big. A big thing to do for me personally and a big kind of dream for my dad as well. Ever since I was very young, my dad has always gone on about wanting a Porsche. And it was always a Porsche. It was never any other. Any other brand. So he never wanted, like a Range Rover. He never wanted a Mercedes McLaren. I'm not really a big car guy, so you're gonna have to forgive me. I barely even know the, the model. I've just. I've literally just remembered that it was in the cam. But, yeah, I'm not, I'm not a big car guy. But back when I was about 12 years old, I distinctly remember I was in the car with him in a village in the north of England called Wally. And I just remember we'd stopped at like, a little kind of corner shop. He was driving the car and we saw this kind of Porsche going by. And he was like, oh, Will, like, look at that car. You know, that's. That's one of my dream cars, you know. And he was just like, super kind of all about the car. And then across the rest of my life, he would always watch this car program called, called Top Top Gear. And he'd always, like, wait for Porsches of some kind to feature on the, the show. And then he, like, paused the rewind. It talked to me about the car. Oh, well, what do you think about this Porsche? And, oh, I wish, I wish that I could. I wish I could have that car, you know. And he used to say this thing as well. He used to say, I'll never have a Porsche, you know, I'll. I'll never be able to afford a Porsche, you know, oh, I'd love to have that car, but I'll never have that car. And I'm not going to go down the road in this video of, like, manifestation and how powerful your own words are. Because I'm a big believer in, you know, what you say manifests what you say and what you plan for comes, Comes true and becomes your reality, but nonetheless. So all my life, for well over 20 years, I would, you know, see my dad, watch Top Gear, look at Porsches and say things like that we'd be out driving somewhere and he would Constantly point out all the Porsche cars and all the different models. And over the years, you know, one minute he wanted like this model of Porsche, then he wanted like this model of Porsche, then he wanted that one and, and blah, blah, blah. So what the, the actual model that he wanted changed. But it was always, you know, if, if, if you ask my little brother, if you ask my mum, if you ask pretty much any of our kind of close relatives, you know, my, my aunties, everybody knows my dad's dream car is a Porsche of some kind and he's wanted one for, for well over 20 years. And I've, I was always very, I was made conscious of this, you know, obviously I didn't grow up rich in any shape or form. I think it was pretty clear that even if my dad saved, well, tried to save money, he'd never be able to buy a Porsche, especially not with cash, especially not with cash. Like, my mum and dad have never owned a car outright until, until now. A few years ago, when I started making quite a lot of money through my E learning company that I just sold to a private equity firm, I started just saying to my dad, you know, I'm going to try and buy you one one day. If I can ever afford to buy you one, I'll buy you one. And I think at the time he was, you know, he probably thought, you know, he believed in me. But you don't know. You know, you can say you're going to get rich and successful and stuff, but you never really know until, until you get there. Last year I was making a lot of money, multiple millions of pounds and ob. The year before I moved to Dubai, my dad probably back in like 20, 21. That was the point where he went from, I'll never have a Porsche, it's just a pipe dream to seeing how well I was doing and rightfully so. He was like, well, you know, if you do really well, I hope that one day you can buy me, buy me a Porsche.
So, I mean, look, why not kind of thing. So I was getting to the point where it was becoming an actual real possibility that I could even afford to buy him the car. And he probably thought, wow, I might actually get this thing now. Last year I said to him, I'm gonna buy you a porsche. Give me 6 months, 12 months to keep building, keep saving. When it gets to the stage where I've got cash that I don't need set aside, I'm gonna buy you the car. So I think that's when he started to think, oh, my God, like, I'm gonna get one. I'm gonna get this dream car. And towards the end of last year, I said to him, like, if I did buy you one right now, what model would you want? And it was this 4x4 style. I think it's called a McCann. I'm pretty sure it's called a McCann. We ordered it about four months in advance because it was brand new. It had to get, like, factory ordered and shipped over from wherever they make them. I don't even know why they make them. I couldn't even guess what. What country they made them. I should know that, but I don't. So we ordered it, and then it was delivered to the garage in Preston, a city in. In the north of England. And, yeah, a few weeks ago, I went home and the day came to. To go and pick up the car. So we drove there in my little brother's piece of truck. No. No offense. No offense, Ollie. It's. If you watch this video, I apologize, but it is a piece of shit. And I know that you love it, and I love that you love it. It's a shit car. Each to their own. All right.
We'Re here. We're almost there in the Porsche garage. I'm stuck in the back of this. Not sure whether you can see, but my mum there is boxed in. I'm boxed in. That's my brother Ollie driving. My dad's in. In the front. You can't really see him. He's around there. Hi.
But, yeah, well, I think. I think the garage is somewhere around here. It's not very far. Far away now. Been in the car for, like, 45 minutes, but pretty. Pretty exciting. Dad says that he's. His hands are sweating. I can actually see the garage now. So I'll turn the camera around.
Here.
But, yeah, so me, my little brother Oliver, my mum, my dad, we drove over to Preston, picked the car up. It just reminded me, like, that's what money is for. It's all well and good, making money, investing, building businesses, but at the end of the day, money is just to be used for happiness and fulfillment and to give back and build relationships and deepen relationships and, if possible, make other people's dreams come true, you know, and that's something that I'm very conscious of. So now that I'm at a stage where almost all of the dreams that I've ever had have come true, it feels weird just to say that, but. But. But it's an amazing thing. It's true. Now I'm focusing more on you know, what can I do for my girlfriend? What can I do for my mum? What can I do for my dad, like buying him the car. What can I do for my little brother? I want to start a charity next year as well that I'm going to build alongside my girlfriend. She's going to help to run it, just that kind of thing, you know. And I'm a big believer in karma as well. I think if you do good things, good things happen to you. If you help people, you reap the rewards of that help and that value. That's it. I just wanted to kind of share that with you. Hopefully it inspires someone out there. I mean, I never thought that I would have that ability to make that dream come true for my dad and do all of this stuff that I'm just kind of starting to do now in terms of giving back and just focusing on helping people and adding value. It all comes from building great products, learning how to sell them and deliver on them and take care of people, take care of your customers, take care of your team. Yeah, I think this is the way that money should be used on that subject. I mean, to wrap up this video. If you are like building a business right now and you're struggling or you want to build the kind of business that I know how to build pretty well, which is either an agency or info business, selling a course, selling, coaching. If you do need any help, I'm going to put a calendar in the description of this video. Please feel free to book in with me and I'll lend a hand. It's called a business diagnosis call, that's what I call them. And we just take a deep dive into your business. What are you doing? Well, what are you doing wrong? What are the bottlenecks? And I'll give you some help and guidance and advice. The call is completely free by the way. We may feel like working together is a good fit. So there is an incentive, a financial incentive for me if you want to come into my one to one coaching program. Of course I'm going to make money from that and I'm going to give you a ton of value in return. Similar to all the testimonials that you've probably seen here on the channel already from the other people I've helped. So the call is there if you need it, guys. Book it if you'd like to, don't book it if, if you don't want to know. Kind of hard feelings there. I want to give as much value for free away on this channel and just try and give to you guys, inspire you guys, help you guys add value. That is the point of, of the channel. So I really hope that this video acts as some kind of inspiration. And please comment below. Any questions, any thoughts, any feedback, and I'll see you back here on the channel soon.
