Hey guys, it's Will. And have you ever felt like you're doing everything yet you feel like you should be doing more? Well, if so, what if I told you to work less and by doing that you would actually make way more money. Now, as someone who's built two eight figure companies now back to back and even exited one of them to private equity last year, one of the most common questions that I'm asked by far this Will, I don't really know the direction to go in right now. I feel like I'm doing everything, but I feel like I should be doing more. I'm doing this task, I'm doing that task. I'm left with a few hours in the day and I don't know what I should be doing to push the business forwards. So Will, what do you do if you have free time to push your business forwards? Basically, what should I do with my time and am I doing the right thing?
In this video I'll give you the cheat codes that I've learned after making over $35 million now over the last eight years. And I'm just going to pull back the curtain on time optimization and profit optimization strategies that can grow your business and your income whilst you work half the time that you do now just giving extreme clarity, essentially. And after you've watched this, you will no longer feel that heaviness in your chest that I should be doing, more kind of anxiety that will be gone for good. I promise you that. I've been there, right? And this is the solution. Three things. Point number one, the less you need money, the more money you're going to make. And in this first point, I just want to show you how to use capital and alchemic planning to create peace, focus and more income in way less time, basically. Point number two, the only three things that you need to scale and in this point I'm going to reveal the only three things that you should ever do with your time if you want to scale your business and your income with a lot less stress, essentially. And point number three, how leaving your business to die without you will usually mean that it grows without you. And I experienced this back in 2023 and it kind of actually led to me exiting my last company as well. This point that we'll cover last will make you more money, more income in way less time and with way more focus. So let's get into it with point number one, okay? The less you need money, the more money you are going to make. Now one of my mentors once said this to me, he said, will the day that you no longer need money, you will make more money than you ever made. And fuck me. Has that been true? Wow. Has that been true? After I sold one of my companies last year, for the first time in my life in 34 years, I finally breathed a sigh of relief and felt like I had enough. But it took a long time to actually get there. So for context, when I founded my last E Learning company back in 2018, I did so from my parents spare room. And back then I was like broke. I was broke as broke could be. I wanted money, I wanted wealth, I wanted freedom. And I wanted that stuff so badly that it was like a shadow constantly hanging over me. I always felt like compelled to work, just non stop, go, go, go, every day, every hour. Because I just desperately wanted to be successful and wealthy. And that is a great energy, right? Because it makes you work hard. It makes you work harder than others who don't have that drive. And if you've turned to this video and you ask yourself that question that I shared at the start of this video, well then it's clear to you and me that you're the same. You want massive success and wealth and you will do anything to get it right, which is great. Good on you. I love that. I respect that right now. If that's the case, then that same shadow is hanging over you. And it has a lot of positives, but it does have some negatives. So the positives are astounding drive, massive work ethic, levels of focus that are just amazing. And that's the stuff that probably led you to where you are today. And that's great. But the negatives or that feeling of I'm not doing enough, I should be doing more and just not being able to relax or switch off and listen, God knows I've been there. So how do you remove the shadow and unlock more time, more peace, more focus and more happiness that actually paradoxically will grow your business? Well, here's how. Firstly, you've got to know exactly, specifically what you want. And I mean everything, right? Exact number of cash in the bank down to the dollar. Exact number of investments, exactly what investment vehicles specifically. Exact business size in terms of revenue and net profit, Exact team size. Where do you want to live? How many homes do you want around the world? Do you want to fly business first or private? Do you want to work three days a week, five days a week, seven days a week? Right? Do you want a partner? Do you want who has nothing to do with your work or who actually plays a part in your work and maybe is a part of your company.
I've got what I call a Life Blueprint. In fact, I'll give you a copy of this if you like. Just comment Life Blueprint below this video and I'll send you a copy. A template and everything that I just said is in that document. Everything mapped out black and white. Not only that, it's listed in order of achieving it all item by item. I'll give you an example of some of the items. Right. So before exiting my last company, when I was actually building the business, my plan was this. Save up 2 million of cash, what I called safety cash. Own 5 million of real estate outright, no mortgages. Buy my dream home in Dubai and my dream home in Bali outright, no mortgages. Make 250,000amonth net income after tax from the business and 25k a month in rental income from the real estate portfolio. I wanted to exit my business to a substantial buyer for minimum $2 million. Never fly any less than business class and work no more than four hours a week. Sorry, four days a week. Four hours would be pretty cool, but days. So can you see, I decided and I mapped out exactly specifically what I wanted. Why is that? It's because whenever I felt the shadow, I just asked myself two questions. Number one, am I progressing towards my goals? Number two, is there more that I could do within my current knowledge or ability to get to them faster? And if the answer is yes to question one and no to question two, I'm allowed to just fucking chill, right? Take the pressure off, stop pushing so hard. I'm progressing towards my goals, I'm clear on my goals. And there's nothing more to do this present moment today that's going to get me there faster. If that's the case, you've lifted the shadow. And then when you lift the shadow, you're left with peace. That's what's created. Now, if you don't know what you want, though, well, it's impossible to lift the shadow because you can only do so by answering those two questions, by knowing where you're going and why and knowing what to work on, which honestly, most people do, you know what you've got to work on. And in the rare case that you don't, which is okay, that just means you need to get a mentor, right, to come in and help you to really understand what to do and how to do it. And by the way, if any of you watching this right now, you feel like you need help with any of this stuff, the business life, work, time management, knowing what to do right? Or how, any of that stuff. I'll put a link in the description, feel free to click it and I'd be more than happy to mentor you one to one, just me and you, via Zoom. I'll give you my WhatsApp as well, just to help you get all this stuff done faster and easier. Feel free to book in a call. My team will see if you're a good fit and if you are, I'll lend a hand. Okay, but back to my point.
That level of clarity, that's what lifts the shadow. Knowing that you're progressing, that's what just. It just clears your mind. And maybe right now you're thinking, well, great, that's awesome and that makes sense. But how do I know what to do with my time to make sure that I'm progressing, to make sure I'm doing the right things, the right tasks, in the right order, all of that stuff? Well, if you are, let me solve that for you. In point number two, let me share the only three things that you need to do to build or grow or exit a business. And all of your time should be spent doing one of these three things. Working, learning, refreshing.
That is literally it. You're either working or when you're not working, you should be learning. Or when you're not learning, you should be refreshing.
So let me get specific with you to help you here. Now, working means the making content, writing copy for ads or VSLs or webinars, hiring and firing and managing, interviewing, assessing your accounts, your P and L, your expenses, your cash reserves, the usual stuff that moves the needle. Learning means reading books, watching YouTube videos, going to mastermind events, buying a course, a coaching program, doing sessions with a mentor and having them examine your business and your tasks and your actions and so on, and just hold you accountable and make sure you're doing the right things properly. And refreshing means going to the gym, swimming in your pool, if you're lucky enough to have one, chilling with your partner or your friends or your kids or your parents. Going on holiday, going for a walk, meditating, going for a drink, right? Having a drive. Don't drink and drive, by the way. That's not what I mean. That's not a good idea. Do them separately, going for dinner, those kinds of things. And those are the only three things that you should really ever be doing. So how do you know which to do? Well, it's actually quite easy. This is how if today's a workday. Firstly, you should Have a to do list with no more than three key items, if not less. I usually have one or two. So mine might be number one, make a YouTube video. Number two, do calls with mentee clients. Or it could be number one, assess last month's P&L and financials. Two, spend an hour looking at the life blueprint and just journaling to make sure we're progressing towards the next listed goal that I want to achieve and whether I still definitely want to achieve it and why. Just to check in. Or it could be number one, task for the day, conduct morning management meeting, watch through recent candidate interviews for a new position that we're hiring for. And number two, task for the day, meet with my YouTube coach, Script, Plan a video and produce it all in the afternoon or something like that.
Key piece of advice for you, Never go above 3 to do list items in a day or you're going to get overwhelmed. And when you've done the work, there should be no shadow. There should be no feeling of have I done enough? Because you have. You've done your to do list, you've done your work for the day, right? So your work is complete and next you're going to either spend the rest of the day learning or refreshing or both.
In essence, learning and refreshing is work. I consider both to be work because they feed into the work. So learning makes you better at working and refreshing makes you more prepared to work. So technically, technically they are both work in a way, if you think about it like that. And if you feel the shadow hanging over you, just remind yourself of that and the shadow should vanish. A reminder. The shadow is your innate work ethic and ambition. Lazy people don't have a shadow, losers don't have a shadow. They don't feel that feeling of being like compelled to work non stop. Go, go, go. Every day, every hour, because of desperately wanting to be successful and wealthy. Because they don't want those things. They might say that they do, but unless they feel the shadow, they don't. That's how you really know if you feel the shadow. That's like just, it's like, it's just, it's a great energy. You just need to know how to control it. And the shadow is healthy by the way. Again, you've just got to manage it. I still feel the shadow some days and it's there to remind me there's more to be done, there's goals left to achieve. Let's get to work, let's make it happen. But if it's hanging over you, day after day after day. That's not healthy. That will fuck up your life. And I just told you how to remove it a second ago. Again, to remove it, all you have to do is this. And you might want to write this down if you haven't. Number one, create your life. Blueprint your full on plan of all your goddamn goals in explicit detail. Number two, if you feel the shadow, ask yourself two questions. Number one, am I progressing towards my goals? And two, is there more that I could do within my current knowledge or ability to get there faster? If the answer is yes to question one and no to question two, you're allowed to fucking chill. Stop pressuring yourself. Take the pressure off, stop pushing so hard. You're progressing towards your goals. You're clear on your goals and there's nothing more to do in the present moment today that would get you there faster. And if that's the case and you've come to that realization, then the shadow is lifted and then peace is created.
You now know that the shadow is healthy and how to use it and how to remove it. And you also know the only three things that you ever need to do. Work, learn, or refresh. And doing the latter two things actually strengthens your work ability and your work quality. Now let me just add that sometimes there will be a fuck ton of work to do and sometimes there'll be very little work to do. So if there's a lot of work to do, do the bloody work. If there's nothing to do like in my life right now, my life currently is very relaxed and very easy and I'm kind of barely working.
Then just learn, refresh, have fun. I make these videos now really just for fun because I just love making them. Sometimes you're in a season of growth and building, sometimes you're in a season of optimization. People often think those are the only two seasons, right? In fact, most entrepreneurs completely overlook what is in my opinion, the most important season by far. So let's cover what that is in point number three. How leaving your business to die without you will actually mean that it grows without you. Now, I experienced this back in 2023 and it led to me. Actually this was partly how and why I exited my last company. And it led to my best two week period in the history of that last company before I sold it. And this point that we'll cover last will make you more money and income with way less time and energy and focus. It's amazing. It's really amazing. If you get this back in 2023, I was in the process of just starting to plan on exiting my last business, right? And I'd found an acquirer. And they said to me this, they said to me, we want to test how well the business functions without you. So I booked a holiday to Thailand for two weeks. And for the first time ever, I tried my hardest to not work. So I didn't look at Slack, I didn't make YouTube videos, I didn't check the paid ad tracker, I didn't review sales calls, I didn't look at the P and L, I didn't attend meetings, I didn't really do anything or I tried my hardest not to do anything. Guess what happened? We had our number one best two week period in five goddamn years. Multiple six figures shows how useful I was to that business, right? And it basically just did far better without me. And by leaving the business to die without me, it actually grew without me. And this is the definition of manifestation of energy. See, when you put way too much energy and focus and pressure on yourself and your business, you kill it. You push it down, you squeeze it too hard and you fuck it up. We all know the saying, right? If you like a girl, she doesn't like you. If you don't like a girl, she likes you. Business is no different.
Business is no different. It's an energy game. You can suffocate your business. In fact, you probably are. You have to let it fucking breathe. Do you remember what I said earlier, What a past mentor said to me? This is like two years ago now. He said, when you no longer need money, you'll make the most money that you've ever made. That's energy. That's the law of attraction. If you need it, it's hard. If you don't need it, it's easy. You've got to chill. Got to stop working yourself to the bone, right? You don't have to. All you need to do to build and grow a six or seven or eight figure company are just three little things. Number one, understand the work that you need to do and then do it. Like I said earlier, you're only in a bad spot if you don't know what you need to work on. That's not good. And if that is you, then click the work with me link in the description of this video. I'll mentor you one to one and I'll map out the work that needs to be done and I'll show you how to do it and I will help you to do it right? But when you do know what to do, all you have to do is do the fucking work. Just goddamn do the work right. Do it. Task by task, day by day. And then when the work is done, you go to step two, which is learning. Now you should always be learning. Reading books, watching YouTube videos, attending mastermind events, watching CEO and founder interviews, investing in courses and mentors and so on. This has been a big part of my success. Knowledge equals income. And without knowledge there is no income. So that's number two. Do the work, number one. And when there is no work to be done, do the learning, number two. And number three, if the working and the learning is done, refresh. Go to the gym, swim in your pool. Chill with your partner or your friends or your kids or your parents or your dog. Go on holiday. Go walking, meditate. Go for a drive, have a cigar, go for dinner, have a drink, sleep, recharge. That is all that you need to do to make millions of dollars.
