3 common Visualization mistakes people make with the LOA (and how to visualize powerfully)

Aaron Doughty breaks down three visualization mistakes: focusing on specific outcomes instead of feelings, using only your mind instead of your heart's energy, and clinging to how results should look. The real work is shifting your internal state, not picturing details.

Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron Doughty and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video, I want to show you 3 common mistakes people make with using visualization and understanding how we can make visualization a so much more powerful process. Now for me, I've used visualization for years. I've used it mainly to change the self-image I have about who I am, and I found that by viewing myself in a new way, by starting to identify as a new person, it's completely changed the kind of experiences that I have. Now in this video, what I want to first do is share with you the first mistake that I see with visualization, and that is thinking that whatever we visualize is what we have to experience and what we want to experience. Realize that when it comes to the process of visualization, the purpose of the visualization isn't so that we visualize because that is exactly what we want to experience in our life. The more powerful way to go about it is to have a visualization for what we prefer to experience, to see that in our mind, to feel it into our body, and to realize that the sensation that we feel, that what we're feeling is the state of being that we prefer, is the way that we're actually going to become that which we want to visualize. So this is why, whereas people will visualize certain, certain events, instead of visualizing those events that you want to happen, visualize yourself being that which you want to be and realize that the sensation that you feel inside of your body while you do it is the actual point of the process itself. So instead of it being the visualization, it's the sensation behind the visualization. Now, why is this so important? Well, realize that you don't always get in life that which you want, but you always get a reflection of who you are being now in life. Like attracts like. So if you are being the kind of person that is abundant, that's seeing yourself in a certain way, that's feeling the sensation of what you want, you are more likely to attract situations and events to you that mirror that state of being. So if you can visualize yourself winning that award that you want, if you visualize yourself doing what you want to do for a living, realize that as you feel the sensation of that freedom, as you feel that sensation of that authenticity, you being yourself, you're more likely to then anchor in and bring those experiences into your life because since like attracts like, you are attracting that like similar state of being to those things that reflect that change that you've made within yourself. Now the second mistake that a lot of people make with visualization is thinking that it's all about the mentalism. Now it's kind of related to the first one, but it's about really understanding that when you are visualizing, instead of focusing instead of focusing so much on the image of what it is, focus on the heart space. Now this is about understanding that the heart is much more powerful than the head. It's 50— I can't remember the exact numbers. Maybe I'll put a little text right here that explains it, but it's like 50,000 times stronger or 50 times stronger than the electromagnetic energy of the head. So when we get into this space and you get into visualization, instead of feeling and thinking about it in the head, feel it from the heart. All you simply have to do to do this, and you could do this right now with me, take a deep breath in and now as you breathe out, just bring the sensation into your hands and then as you do that, bring the sensation into your arms and then into your chest. Now as you feel into your heart space, realize that you can feel the sensation of whatever you want to experience and that as you feel into that sensation, you are making that become more a part of you. It is then bypassing the logical part of how things might happen, and it's getting straight to the heart. Understand that the head is dualistic. The head has a left brain and a right brain, and sometimes those, unless they're coherent, will kind of go back and forth. When you get to the heart, you get to a more unified field. You get to a less dualistic nature and more into a deeper level of who you are. So more so than the mentalism of thinking, some people don't even visualize in the form of images. Some people are more auditory, meaning they hear. Some people have more of a sensation of it, which is what I'm suggesting with this video. The third mistake that I see very commonly made is thinking that the actual vision that we had for what we want to experience has to come to manifestation. Now realize that we are using that visualization as a tool to get us to feel the sensation of what it would be like to have and do what we visualize. But realize that what's more powerful than having an attachment to how it has to happen is having a general expectancy to a reflection of change that you desire. What this means is that instead of going into the world looking for that exact situation to happen, you more of take away the specifics of it and you allow it to happen in whatever way it's meant to happen. This means that you get much more general with the process and you realize that it's not so much about the outcome you had envisioned, but the sensation that you had that you are now cultivating into your body, that you, you are anchoring into yourself. And as you begin to do that more the more you find that things begin to happen because you are now changing your set point. You're changing who you are, and now the reflection can come. So this is why it's so powerful to not look outside of ourselves and need it to be a certain special way, realizing that we can trust the process, trust that since we've changed the internal state of who we are and how we are being, we will then see, we have an expectancy that there will be some type of change, that we hold that frame. We just simply know the change is there and we act in accordance to that. So realize that more powerful than thinking about what we want, than seeing the outcomes of what we want, which can be powerful, is becoming that which we want to experience, is seeing ourselves do those type of things, realizing and choosing that that just is who we are now. And going out into the world in that state of being. It's more about the state of being than it is about what we visualize and the images we see. And knowing this gives us the ability to feel the sensations right now in this moment. If we have a desire to feel more freedom, we can start to feel and give ourselves permission to feel that freedom. And the paradox of it is we're more likely to actually manifest something that reflects that change that we've made within ourselves. So with that being said, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Feel free to like this video if you liked it, share it if you found it of value, and as always, I will see you guys on the next video. Peace, much love, namaste. All right, bye.
