The more you try to be magnetic, the less you are

In this live teaching Aaron Doughty explains why the more people strive to be "magnetic" the less magnetic they become, and why those who simply stay present, playful and unforced naturally attract others. He defines magnetic energy as a state directly linked to presence, fun, and the ability to be in the moment. Doughty argues that everyone is already magnetic to something—often to unhealthy dynamics—because childhood survival patterns (people‑pleasing, hyper‑independence, over‑giving, invisibility, perfectionism, etc.) act as a magnetic polarity that draws similar energy in relationships. He stresses that trying to become magnetic by forcing a new identity only reinforces the old pattern; instead, one must own and make peace with the pattern, recognize it as a protective mechanism, and integrate its dark side. By embracing polarity, allowing vulnerability, and cultivating play, the magnetic field expands and attracts authentic connection, love, abundance, and opportunities. The talk repeatedly references the mother‑father‑child dynamic as the root of these patterns and explains how unresolved childhood energy manifests in adult relational dynamics, such as empaths attracting narcissists or over‑givers attracting overtakers. Doughty introduces the concept of a "second awakening"—moving beyond the first insight that thoughts shape reality to a deeper embodiment of presence and playful authenticity. He concludes with a call‑to‑action for a free three‑day "Magnetic You" challenge that includes live meditation, breathwork, and somatic healing to help participants release patterns and raise their vibrational set point.

Why is it the people who try the most to be magnetic are actually the least magnetic? And why is it the people that try the least, who are just present to the moment, who are having fun, who don't care whether they're magnetic at all, why is it that they are the most magnetic people? Now, anything you try to become, you are less of. Anything you really, really want, you energetically lack. And when you begin to shift into the present abundant version of you, that's when everything in your life changes. Now understand this about magnetic energy. You already are magnetic. It's not something you need to try to do. Even think about it. Even if you have patterns you don't like, you might have the pattern of people pleasing or hyper-independence, whatever it is. You are magnetic to something. You might be magnetic to people who overtake. You might be magnetic to narcissists. You might be magnetic to controlling people. You might be magnetic to scarcity, but you're already magnetic to something. And when you begin to shift your energy by owning your polarity as well, think about it like a magnet, right? A magnet naturally has polarity in it. If you were to flip a magnet around, it will push away. But if a magnet's like, ooh, I don't wanna be polarizing, it ends up dimming its own magnetic energy. So in this video, I'm going to show you the mechanics of magnetic energy. I'm gonna show you how you are already magnetic. I'm gonna show you how to let go of disowning your dark side or your polarity. I'm gonna show you how to embrace the other sides of these patterns and how, as you begin to do that, it will completely transform transform your life from the inside out. People will respond to you differently. You won't even be attached to what they think in the same way. And because of that, you will begin to own your own magnetic presence. So I recommend you watch this video all the way through. It'll take you on an arc of learning about your energy, your magnetic energy, and how to own it in a very powerful way. So let's get into that right now. The more present you are, the more magnetic you are. The more someone is pushing their energy out, the more they are leaking their energy, and the more they are repelling their energy. So think of it like this. When you think of magnetic energy, realize magnetic energy is directly correlated To your ability to be present, to be present to the moment. And the degree to which you have fun, and the degree to which you are able to be in play, is so magnetic because you are present. Now, look at it like this. When you are having fun and present to the moment, you have no agenda. Do you see that? Like, you might say the agenda is to have fun, is to express yourself, but it's a thing that feels good just in the present moment. Does that make sense? It feels good to have fun. It feels good to play. And people gravitate to play. People gravitate to that energy. Yeah, the crow does agree. Right as I started this live, it like flew like right there. But take that as confirmation and even think about, think about your ability to own who you are and to not be holding your energy in from the fear of dimming the light of others. This is another aspect of being magnetic. Okay. You might have patterns come up when you are expressing the real you, and those patterns might say, I'm afraid to shine my light because I don't want other people to feel small. But in an interesting way, by not wanting other people to feel small, What ends up happening is you dim your light. And then what happened— a lot of times, by the way, that pattern tends to happen in families where you had siblings. I know for me growing up, my pattern or my role within the family was to be the eldest, responsible, strong one that was able to kind of like keep peace in the family. I had a younger brother who had asthma. When I was 3 years old, he was born, and he got naturally a lot of attention and also a lot of help because of his condition. But there was a certain level of energy where it was like, my job, my role is to help mom and dad and to make sure my younger brother is good. So what was interesting is even as an adult, there was an energy around not wanting to shine too bright to make other people around me feeling small. Yeah. How many of you who have that pattern or have had that pattern of being afraid of letting other people feel small but from dimming your light? How many of you had siblings or had someone in your life that you had to be mindful of because you knew they might have a response if the energy shifted? Yeah, I see quite a few of you. So the dim— the, the thing with becoming the most magnetic you, there's a couple layers to this because really the answer, by the way, to becoming the most magnetic you, it's the most annoying thing that you hear. It's the most annoying thing that you hear that actually happens to be true, which is what? Which is what? Like, how do you become the most magnetic you? What do they always say? Be yourself. Be yourself. Now, that's the most annoying thing to hear because the challenge is that many people think that who they might be is their childhood pattern. So like, how are you gonna tell me to just be myself? Well, what if as a kid I had to be a people pleaser? Or as a kid I had to be hyper-independent? Or as a kid I had to be invisible? As a kid I had to overgive? You see, and this pattern from childhood becomes the role. That role becomes your subconscious identity of who you think you are. That keeps you trapped in a reality and in relational dynamics that reflect back the unresolved energy of the pattern. Do you guys see? But remember, you're not the pattern. Now, this is why someone like Joe Dispenza writes the book, How to Break the Habit of Being Yourself. I remember when I first saw that book, I was at the gym in Las Vegas. And I go into the sauna and there's this woman reading a book called How to Break the Habit of Being Yourself. And I thought to myself, why would you wanna break the habit of being yourself? That's dumb. But of course, who you believe you are is one of the strongest determining factors of what you experience in your life because you get a reflection in your life of who you are being. Yeah. The challenge is that you might think who you are is the pattern, is the people pleaser, is the overgiver, is the hyper-independent person that needs to create success. You might think you are what you do, but that's not really you. That's the pattern. But here's the thing, based on that pattern, you will attract people situations and dynamics in your life that reflect back the unresolved energy of that pattern. So then you'll say, well, how do I become magnetic? But you can't be being in the frame of the people pleaser or in the role of the overgiver, people pleaser, hyper-independent person. If you are in that role, to become magnetic, is something that seems like a tall mountain to climb because you literally believe that to become magnetic, you need to fulfill the role. Do you get this? You will never people-please yourself enough into becoming magnetic. You will never give so much of yourself that people finally see your worth. You will never, as a hyper-independent person, create so much wealth and success yourself that you feel fulfilled, because the pattern itself is what's keeping you trapped in inauthentic energy. And these patterns are subconscious parts of your subconscious. And this is why I always say the pattern isn't— you can't use the pattern to get out of the pattern. In the same way, the pattern is not going to make you magnetic. Now, ironically enough though, if you think about it, the degree to which you own the pattern, the degree to which you own that role is connected to your ability to transform that role. Because a lot of times what happens is people find themselves in a certain pattern, they become aware of their pattern. But then they feel ashamed that they're in the pattern, and they beat themselves up for being in the pattern, and they want the pattern to go away. This is why you must actually make peace with the pattern before you'll become the most magnetic you. I know for a long time, for me, years ago, I became aware of two different patterns that I had: hyper-independence. Literally, my sense of self-worth was connected to how many people I could help transform, how many videos I could make on YouTube. I need to work, work, work, work. And if I work, work, work, work, I can feel safe. That was one pattern I became aware of. To receive felt bad, felt no, no, that's wrong. And often with these patterns, by the way, the biggest breakthrough you get from the pattern is actually by embracing the thing you most don't Like, for those of you that have a hyper-independent energy around becoming successful and taking a lot of action, the very, very last thing you will ever want to do is to play and have fun. You don't want to play and have fun. This is not productive. Playing and having fun will seem like counterintuitive to actually more success. But the thing is, the degree to which you can have more fun and play is the degree to which you're in magnetic energy, the degree to which you're tapped into creativity, and the degree to which other clients and other people are attracted to you. How many of you who watch my content— I've been doing this for almost 10 years now, almost 9 years— how many of you watch my content just for the content and the info? And how many of you watch my content because of the energy? It's like I say practically almost the same type of thing in almost every video I've made. I've made daily videos on YouTube for practically 9 years, sometimes 3 a week. But on YouTube or on Instagram, I make videos twice a day. I've made thousands and thousands of videos. Right? Yeah. Some of you say both. Some of you say energy. Magnetic energy comes not from something you do. Magnetic energy comes as a result of having fun in the moment, being in a playful energy, and allowing something greater to flow through you. Which is why when you think of magnetic energy and you think of your pattern, your pattern is the thing that will keep you trapped in toxic dynamics. It'll keep you trapped in unresolved childhood energy. And this is why, by the way, this always goes back to what I've been teaching for years— the mother-father-child dynamic. And some people say, oh, I don't want to— I don't want to go there. That's where all the gold is. Because unless you resolve the energy from mother-father-child dynamic from childhood, like, if you You might not realize it, but you are still living, trying to make mom and dad happy subconsciously until you resolve that energy. So for example, many people may live their entire lives in the pattern of people pleaser, of the role of being good, because people pleasing— And you say, well, just let go of people pleasing. How can you let go of people pleasing or hyper-independence? How can you let go of a pattern that was a childhood strategy that actually was your basis of survival. Because I got news for you, mom and dad's love and approval was a game of survival. Without mom and dad's support, love, and attention, you would not be able to survive, or you would feel very disconnected. So your ability to heal and to, in a way, integrate mom, mother, father, child dynamics is directly connected to your ability to heal and become more free. So remember, your way out of the pattern is to, one, accept the pattern, but two, to realize the pattern is not you. How many of you have told yourself, oh, I'm just hyper-independent? And then you have— let's go down this thread for a moment. Okay, we were watching— my girlfriend and I were watching this show last night, and it was like there was some relational dynamics you could see where there was this one guy who was like in a hyper-independent type role where he like did not have the emotional vulnerability or the capacity to be present with someone else that he was dating. And what was interesting is I was looking at their dynamic. And one of the things that was obvious is she was just trying to do, do, do to get this guy and to be there for this guy because she thought that if she did, did, did, if she gave, if she pleased him, then he would like eventually be present. He did not have the emotional capacity to be present. He was afraid of presence. Now, one of the things he said is he says, in my body, I can't keep this relationship going 'cause there's a lot of pressure. He's like, oh, there's a lot of pressure here. And I could feel it. And I have to trust my body. Okay. Now, on one hand, there are times and situations when you're around certain people and you trust your body, you trust your intuition, and it's like, you know, that something's not safe. There's dynamics where that's the case. At the same time, there are dynamics where when you get close to someone, it will feel uncomfortable because the closer you get to someone, the more it brings up That desire to not be vulnerable because vulnerability equals scary. So in watching the dynamic between these 2 people, this guy that kind of just keeps like escaping and going away and he can't be around someone too long, there's a desire there to not be around, get too close to someone because that closeness brings up this stuff. And then he says, this feels like pressure. I can't deal with this. And he wants to go away, and then her mechanism comes into place to try to get him back, or try to get him to stay, or try to prove herself. So the thing that I pointed out, though, when I was watching this is I'm like, the interesting thing is this person with these avoidant type, this avoidant energy. And by the way, I've been there before. I've been in an avoidant energy in dating and relationships where I would get too—I'd get close to someone, and I would think that once it got too close, that that was scary, and I had to go. And I wanted space from it. And eventually, with maturity of understanding my patterns, I recognized that actually getting close with someone, bringing up that desire to be away from it, that was actually part of the medicine to becoming familiar to an energy that normally would feel scary. And through presence, through allowing those emotions to be there, there were breakthroughs that happened. To where I started to be more present. I started to express myself more. So it's like the thing— if somebody is avoidant and in an energy of like, I feel pressure in my body around certain people, there are times to where it's not just the people, it's the— your relationship to intimacy. Does this make sense? So what I was saying about that guy in that show is that no matter where he goes, when he starts to get close to someone, that intimacy block will come up and the fear of vulnerability will come up and he will want space. He will want to go for walks. He will want to go on trips. He will want to get away. Now, on her end, she, you could tell, was internalizing this. But you see, she thought she was what was wrong, but it was more so this person, his connection to intimacy. But how often is it in relationships that we internalize someone else and their emotional unavailability, thinking, oh, it means there's something wrong with me, when in fact it may be That, that person may have blocks around intimacy and vulnerability. But you see, as kids, this is the challenge. As kids, we internalize everything. We internalize everything. Mom and dad weren't physically or emotionally available, must have been my fault. And who do I need to be In order to gain their approval and validation. And that becomes the birth of a pattern. And then that pattern lives on subconscious, and that pattern will control different aspects of your life. So if you are in an overgiving pattern, not who you are, what kind of person will you attract into your life if you're an overgiver? If you are an overgiver, you will attract people who overtake. Part of the reason being is you put out the bait. You find somebody that looks maybe a little bit broken and you say, how can I give myself to them? Now, part of it too with these patterns, it's kind of tricky, is that these patterns, you get a dirty little payoff, baby. You get a dirty little payoff. You get to feel good. I am good. And also you get to feel like you can resolve the childhood energy because If you had somebody as a kid where you were the overgiver, if you could give enough, maybe you would change them, turn them, and allow them to actually meet your needs or to connect with you. So part of the thing with these patterns is that the degree to which you activate the pattern, you think you're gonna resolve your childhood energy and you're gonna prove yourself. This is why people will attract projects into their life they feel they need to fix. They'll attract hyper-criticizing people into their life that they feel like it feels familiar to be around someone that they always have to like walk on eggshells around. And if they could prove to this person that they are worthy, then they'll be enough. So this is why people stay stuck in patterns. The patterns are not who you are. People stay stuck in patterns though, because they think it's who they are and because they familiarized it and it allows them to stay in familiar energy. This dissipates your energy, and this has you feeling drained. And this is why you can't think yourself your way out of this. How many of you have tried thinking better thoughts? How many of you have tried listening to certain meditations, reading certain books? How many of you have tried all of that, but you still fall back into old patterns? Sometimes, by the way, intellectually, you can understand these patterns. You could be learning this stuff, and the intellect can actually be a way of avoiding feeling certain emotions. Like, one of the big shifts for me, even more recently, that I've, I've gone even deeper into with my own teachings is recognizing Yes, it can be powerful to become aware of your patterns and to do this inner child work, but also sometimes that can be an escape from feeling, and you don't need to understand every little nuance. So if you were to instead have more fun, or instead feel and release the energy under the surface, you would release the pattern and then You would begin to become more free. So, and, and by the way, we think sometimes, oh, we become aware of these patterns and what we're gonna do is at a certain point of becoming aware of these patterns, it's like the patterns will continue to come up, but the difference is how you relate to them shifts. Yeah. Exactly. That was the inner child playing. So what questions do you guys have about this? Now, think about it as well. So becoming the most magnetic version of you is directly correlated to your ability to own who you are, to own even the pattern, and to actually also become at peace with the pattern. But to realize that the pattern is a protective mechanism. So think about the pattern you have and what that might be protecting you from. So for example, if you have the pattern of hyper-independence and working really hard, what is that pattern protecting you from? Go ahead and put it, put it in comment. Put in a comment. If you are a people pleaser, pleasing other people or overgiving, what is that pattern protecting you from? This is a powerful question to ask because whatever that pattern is protecting you from, it's actually doing its job. So we could say, get rid of the pattern. The pattern is the enemy, but the pattern has been your ally since you were a baby, since you were young. It's been protecting you from the scary unknown, the emotional vulnerability. It's been protecting you from the disapproval of mom and dad. Exactly. Rejection, abandonment, codependency, disappointment, shame, being alone and being loved, our own voice and being vulnerable, not being accepted and loved, being judged from being seen. Being the good girl. Exactly. So what's interesting though is to break these patterns, like what I call the second awakening. How many of you heard me talk about the second awakening? Many of you have had the first awakening, right? You become aware that your thoughts correlate with your experience, that you can put your mind, your energy in a certain direction to change your life. That's, uh, like a very powerful insight to have, right? That you're a spiritual being living a temporary human experience. What I call the second awakening is the awakening after that. That's the awakening after the pattern. That's the awake— when you are hyper-independent, need to do everything yourself, and you start to embrace being vulnerable, having fun, being playful, It's a whole new reality. It's like when you watch Aladdin and it's like a whole new world and you're on the magic carpet ride. It's literally like that. When you're a people pleaser who's been pleasing people your entire life and you're getting tired of it because you are drained and you stop doing that and you start embracing being bad, you start embracing being authentic, you start embracing letting people be with tension. knowing that their tension's not your thing to manage, you will literally be in a new reality. You will feel like a completely different version of you. You will recognize so many times where you could see yourself falling back in old patterns and you'll be like, I don't have to do that. But the gold, the gold is embracing the parts of yourself you're afraid to become. It's embracing being bad. And if you want to become the most magnetic version of you, embrace your dark side, baby. We all have a dark side. The dark side we avoid because we don't want people to think we're bad. But guess what? As kids, it may have been bad to be authentic. If it was bad for you to feel anger as a kid, guess what? In different moments, anger is an authentic emotion. But if anger is bad, guess where that anger goes? Repressed under the body. You know what's not magnetic? Well, here's the thing: any pattern you you think of is magnetic. Okay, let's first off say this. Every pattern you, you can see is magnetic. If you're a people pleaser, you will be magnetic to hard-to-please people, and you'll be magnetic to people that might be emotionally unavailable. You'll be magnetic to people that want to be pleased, but you will not be magnetic to deep connections and people where you can be yourself around. If you are a hyper-independent person, you will be very magnetic to people who need you. You will be magnetic to people who see you as strong. You'll be magnetic to entitled people. You'll be magnetic to people that just let you do your thing and don't check in with you. If you're an overgiver, you're magnetic. You're just magnetic to people who overtake. You're magnetic to projects that you can fix. Now, all of these things— so you're already magnetic. You don't, you don't need to try to be more magnetic. The question is, are you magnetic to authenticity? Are you magnetic to deep connection? Because deep connection and authenticity is going to be a response to you embracing More of your true self. Someone says, "I'm an overgiver." You are not an overgiver. You may have a pattern of overgiving. That pattern you may have had for a long period of time since childhood. It became a role that became your identity, and that role is protecting you from being bad. So an overgiver, overgive equal good. I give, give, give, give. I never take, take, take, take. Because as a kid, there was someone in my life who take, took, took, took, and I don't want to be like them. I don't want to be icky, icky with needs, icky, icky with, with things and have needs. So then you end up rejecting these other aspects of yourself, and you stay in the role. And guess what? As an overgiver, you will attract people who you can fix, and it will feel Good, because they're gonna need you, baby. Hyper-independent, overgiving, people-pleasing people— they've got people in their life who need them. And doesn't it feel good to be needed? The challenge is that you have to abandon yourself to be around these people. You have to not listen to your body. You have to take on their stuff, and you have to be the person who's regulating their nervous systems. So, and doesn't it— so when people subconsciously feel like they're blocking relationships, they might say like, oh, you know, I've been doing the inner work for a while. I'm aware of these certain patterns I have, like people pleasing or hyper-independent, whatever. I keep blocking love and connection. And you might think you are blocking. On one hand, you might want love and connection. On the other hand, subconsciously, you might believe that to be in love and connected means you need to regulate someone else's nervous system. And if I said to you right now, hey, do you want love and connection? You say, yeah. Yeah. I want love and connection. I want to feel deeply connected. And then if I said, cool, do you want to regulate someone else's nervous system? I said, you want love and connection, right? Would you like to regulate someone else's nervous system 24/7 and every little thing that comes up for them, you have to be there to process with them? You say, no, no, no. Aaron, I don't want that. I want love connection, but I don't want that. So subconsciously, why do I sabotage love and connection? Well, subconsciously, on one hand, you want love and connection. You want to feel authentic to be you and connected. On the other hand, love and connection as a kid meant someone else's nervous system you need to manage, especially if you were parentified as a kid and you had to be a parent. To either other siblings or you had to parent your parents. And if you had to do that, I'm sorry because it must be hard when you weren't allowed to have needs as a kid and you weren't allowed to be a kid. But do you see the difference there? I say you want love and connection. You say yeah. You want to go deeper in your relationship. You say yeah. And then I say okay. If as a kid you had to be responsible for everyone else's emotions and energies, do you want to regulate someone else's nervous system 24/7? And you say, no. Yeah, I love— no, I don't want that. I don't want to have to regulate their nervous system. But subconsciously, that's what you think connection is as a kid. So something that we're going to be doing, by the way, in case you haven't heard, is On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, we're doing a 3-day Magnetic You Challenge. I'm gonna show you how to become the most magnetic you, how to let go of the core patterns underneath the surface, how to somatically heal, feel, and release that energy to then be the most authentic you. And if you wanna join, it's completely free. You can comment the word shift, S-H-I-F-T, and I'll send you the invite. There's gonna be some new content in this one that I do. But yeah, that's what we're gonna be talking about. And that's why a lot of what we do is go to the root. Call it the root. The root is the mother-father-child dynamic. That is what is called the root. And most people don't transform their lives because they don't get to the root. The root. Okay. So, so where are we now with this? So we talk about— so somebody asked a question earlier. Let me There was a good question here. Let me find it. Where was it? Okay, what pattern attracts cheaters? That's interesting, isn't it? What pattern attracts cheaters? Normally, the pattern that will attract cheaters the most, part of it may be you had a parent as a kid that cheated on the other. Some level of emotional unavailability or dishonesty. Um, one thing I will say that I recognize, because a lot of times what can happen if you attract someone who's cheating is sometimes, sometimes to be in those relationships, you've already had to abandon yourself to even be in it. You've already abandoned yourself to be in the relationship. But what is, you might stay in it and then something might be red flag there, but you might keep gaslighting yourself or they might keep gaslighting you and you kind of stay in it. But a lot of times, you know, it's so interesting when it comes to attracting cheaters because normally there's some form of block around trust. There's a block around trust. There's a block around the masculine, the feminine. And because of that, there's a belief there that I can't trust. And then out of the belief I can't trust, what kind of person do you think you attract? What kind of patterns do you think? I mean, we would talk about hyper-independence. We've been talking about people pleasing, overgiving, being invisible, perfectionism. These are all different patterns. What would you say are different patterns that are most likely to attract cheaters? What patterns do you think would be most likely to attract cheaters? Maybe even other patterns I didn't mention, right? Yeah, some of you said, I was my mom's therapist. You're holding space for your mom. Most likely, a lot of times your relationship to your mom is connected to your relationship to self, your relationship to receiving love, whether you feel worthy or not. So in different aspects, if we have unresolved energy around mom and dad, that unresolved energy gets projected onto other areas of life. Yeah. So nice. Yeah, someone says someone being too clingy. I mean, clingy can push people away. Now, in general, let's go to this for a moment. Let's talk about magnetic energy and like your ability to contain yourself inside of your body. When you notice people who push their energy out subconsciously repel people who push their energy out, a lot of times it's a subconscious thing where as a kid, if in order to feel safe, you had to expand your energy field to include mom and dad, to ease their tension, to get their approval and validation, there's an energy where around subconsciously you are Am I safe around this other person? And what you end up doing too is you end up attracting people that have an overly expressed quality of what's underexpressed in you. So let's look at this for a moment. So when empaths or people that are sensitive to other people's emotions, attract narcissists, people who are not empathic to other people's emotions and who are many times very controlling. Now, these 2 patterns, what happens— this one, the empath, will at first see in the narcissist these amazing characteristics of charmingness, of them being in their own sense of, of frame, and that will be attractive. And partially This person is attracted to this person because there's an underdeveloped quality within themselves and also an unresolved energy inside of themselves that they want to process. So the thing is, is this will be attractive, but there's— remember, there's something that wants to be resolved, and what wants to be resolved is The energy around owning who you are, saying no to toxic dynamics, giving yourself permission to be you even when the stakes seem high. 'Cause often empaths will find themselves attracted to people with really strong frames of reality. And what they might also do is they may have people in their life that are attracted to them, but they might not be attracted to these other people. They just want the person where the stakes seem higher, and the stakes will seem higher in a person who has unresolved energy from childhood. Does this make sense? Because they think this person has the authority. And also the authority— I mean, think of who's the ultimate authority as a kid. Once again, mother-father-child dynamic. Mom and dad. Represent authority. And who do we need to be to gain their love and approval? Maybe as an empath, someone that's very sensitive to people's emotions and energies, someone that's very mindful, someone that stays out of the way. That survival mechanism, that has become a survival mechanism. And then you say, I'm an empath. Boo-boo. You're not an empath. Okay? You developed an ability to tune to other people, but that identity is not who you are. It's a survival mechanism. And you learning to be in your own frame of reality, you learning to let people be with tension, you learning to be present and feeling the space between you and them is your way to bring more presence into your body. So there's something to learn is basically what I'm saying. From any dynamic of a repetitive pattern of someone you attract into your life, there's a reason you attract it. And there's a reason that the faces may change, but the energy remains the same. You are the common denominator. You are the one with the pattern. It happened if you think you are the victim and you are the predator, and it will not feel like that. What happens a lot of times is mother-father-child dynamic. You may have had a perpetrator-victim-rescuer dynamic, might be in that mix somehow, even with your siblings. And a lot of times empaths, people pleasers, overgivers, they're afraid of the dark side of becoming the perpetrator if they were to bring their energy back. Because as a kid, you had a perpetrator in your life who was the person that was controlling or the narcissistic person, whatever. And you don't want to make that person not happy. But do you see what happens as a result? You end up abandoning you. Who are they with? Who are, who are without the pattern? That's a good question. You are qual— you are not— we like labels because we like— labels can tell us who we are and we find safety in that, which is why overgivers have trouble letting go of it because it's a survival mechanism, but it's been their identity for so long. Who are you really? You are courage, vulnerability, authenticity, presence. You are connected to God or the divine. That's who you really are. You're not the pattern. Does that make sense? You can't say you can't tell. Nope. No man bun. How do I get comfortable with the silence as a boundary creates? You get comfortable through it through repetition. It's so interesting that people say, I can't set boundaries. I can't let someone sit with tension. Yes, you can. More you do anything, the more comfortable it gets with time. All you're saying is it's not comfortable yet. It's not familiar yet. It's familiar for me to abandon my frame to be around other people. It's familiar for me to give so much of myself that I abandon me and then I resent myself and then I take on that burden of other people. That's familiar. But you can wire in anything. So some of the biggest transformations I've ever— so let's summarize some of this right now. You be the real you when you give yourself permission to express the real you and have fun. When you're having fun, you're present to the moment. You're not trying to get anything out of reality. People who are pushing their energy out or with leaky energy, they have an agenda. When you bring that energy back, and you sit with that uncomfortable emotion and energy, and you focus instead on being present, authentic, vulnerable, courageous, on embracing your dark side, you'll begin to become more free. When you begin to embrace the parts of yourself that you don't give yourself permission to be, when you embrace being bad, that's actually the medicine. And through the repetition of it, You begin to shift your patterns because somebody that's like, I'm good, I am good when I abandon myself, I am good when I please, I am good when I give, I am good when I'm working really hard to be successful, I am good when I'm perfect. Those might be good from a certain perspective, but they might be bad for yourself. They might even be what's bad for other people because pleasing people is not even good for them. When you're pleasing other people, you think I'm being good for them. Uh uh uh uh. When you please other people, you are enabling them. When you are overgiving, you say overgive equals good because it was good as a kid in the mother father child dynamic. It's good for them. No, overgiving is priming people on how they can treat you, and it's priming people to not own their own power. Now, again, that's overgiving. Not saying giving is bad. Overgiving is the extent to which you give beyond your own means. So there's balance in all of this, which is why even when you think of narcissistic people and empaths, right? Opposites of the same playing field, but opposites. I give, give, give, give. I'm very sensitive. I'm not sensitive at all. I control. This person attracted to this person, this person attracted to this person because this person they can manipulate. This person attracted to this person because this person has strong frame. Now it's a strong perceived sense of frame. It's a false self, but it looks very attractive to somebody that was never encouraged as a kid to be in a sense of self. So why do we attract these patterns? We attract them because there's unresolved energy there. And when we begin to integrate that energy, when we begin to embrace being ourselves, when we begin to embrace being authentic and vulnerable, our whole entire life will transform. Okay? Now, like I said, if you guys wanna join, I'm doing a 3-day Magnetic You Challenge to show you how to become the most magnetic you, how to learn the process of letting go, how to shift at the identity level, how to realize who you are beyond the patterns.
