3 Powerful Techniques for Creating your Reality

Aaron Doughty teaches three techniques to reshape your reality: mental rehearsal with vivid imagination, viewing yourself through your future self's eyes to spot limiting beliefs, and living as if your desired outcome already happened. He argues that your external life reflects who you're being right now, and practicing these daily rewires your internal patterns.

Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video, I'll be sharing with you 3 powerful techniques that if we apply, can radically change who we are being in the present moment and allow us then to get the reflection that we want in our life. Now, as I say in almost all my videos, we don't get in life that which we want, but we always get a reflection of who we are being. Now, what this means is that who we are being is the most important part of the process, and who we are being is composed of 3 main contributions. The first one is the self-image that we have about who we are, and that's something that's projected out to other people. The second one is the beliefs that we have about the way the world works and about who we are. And then the third one is simply the state of being that we're in. So when we tailor who we are being in the present moment, that's going to determine the greatest degree of change of what we experience on the external. Now I give in a couple of my last prior couple of videos, I talk about the 3-step process and I'm going to just summarize it now so that we can understand how these 3 techniques play into it. And the 3-step process is simply see it, have a vision for who you prefer to be, feel it. As you feel it, you are merging and bridging that picture you have, that scene that you have, into the present moment now. And then simply decide and be it, which is the third one. Be it by having the beliefs that that is who you are now, by tailoring the self-image that you have, and by acting in that way. So this 3-step process helps us optimize who we are being in the present moment so that then we get the reflection that we want. Now, the first technique I have for you is called mental rehearsal. Now what this involves is understanding that the reality that you prefer to exist in exists right now in this moment. Now what this means is that in order to increase the probability that you will experience that reality, you must use your imagination to connect yourself to that version of yourself. Now I've used this in prior videos before, but it's really such a powerful technique for being able to mirror the best version of yourself and knowing that as you mirror the body language, as you mirror the thought patterns, the habits, all the different nuances of that version of you, you start to then embody it more and more and eventually the external reality will begin to change according to that internal change that you've made. So in order to do this, realize right now that the perfect version of you exists. Now you use your imagination to connect to that version of you, and what you can begin to do is look at the details of who you are being. What are you doing for a living? What kind of body language do you have? How do you interact with other people? What kind of daily habits that do you have? And as you begin to connect to this more and more and you begin to see it, you will start to feel more from it. And then from that point of view, what you can begin to do is start to embody that more and more. This could simply mean that you act out certain scenarios. You could, you know, have a vision for a certain type of experience that you would have and literally start to act it out, as silly as it sounds. As you begin to do it in your room when no one else is looking, you are training your resonance for who you're being in the present moment to then start to become more and more comfortable with it. Now, people such as Magic Johnson has used this technique before, maybe not consciously, but one thing he would do when he was the janitor for an office is he would sit and he would prop his legs up onto the desk and sit there like this, like he was the CEO, and imagine that he was the CEO of the company that he was working for. You know, these little things we might do unconsciously, but they really have power in optimizing and giving us a taste of what that reality feels like so that we have a reference experience for what we are moving towards. Now, the second technique I have for you helps you create the kind of perspective that you need about who you are and really tailors your self-image in the present moment so that you can embody who you prefer to be. Now this is what I call the objective perspective. Now what we can learn to do is to have a new type of perspective about who we are in the present moment by not judging ourselves, but really having discernment for who we are. So imagine right now that we are our future self of doing what we want to do. How would we look at who we are being today? Well, I'll tell you the way I saw myself a couple months ago when I did this process. I would see who I preferred to be, which is someone that creates a lot of content that is able to do this for a living. And as I was started to embody that perspective of myself, I would look at who I was being and I could see that I was only creating one video a week. And as I looked at that, I could see that I wasn't having the kind of work ethic that I needed in order to create the kind of experience that I wanted. So what I did is I didn't judge myself. but I started to see that my work ethic was completely different than who I was being in the present moment at the time. So what I decided to do was to create a little bit more distance between those two by having a more understanding that that's not who I prefer to be. And as I started to do that, I started to become more aware of the unconscious beliefs that I have, of the unconscious habits that I had, and almost those blind subconscious beliefs in general. Because I realized that I thought I was working hard by doing one video a week, but I realized that it was nowhere near the potential that I could have had. And it was simply because I took on the beliefs and the perspective of my future self. And then I started to create distance between the perspective that I had in the old version of me a couple months ago. That helped me become aware of the perspective that I needed to have, and it helped me let go of the old beliefs I had, of the old work ethic that I thought I had, and it helped me really then embody who I prefer to be in the present moment. So this could mean that you envision yourself doing exactly what you'd want to do. Maybe you see that you'd have to have certain habits, and what you start to do is you don't judge yourself in the present moment, but you start to really be honest with yourself and ask, is this really serving me now? Is it better that instead I just have this perspective that actually serves me even though it might be a little bit more painful. The idea is that if you simply put in the work to have the work ethic or whatever it is, you find that you end up thanking yourself down the road. So adopt the new perspective of who you prefer to be and start to create distance with the current version of yourself by becoming aware of the limitations that you have now. The third technique I have for you is being able to put what you want to experience as if it is happening now. Now what this means is that normally with the whole idea of the law of attraction, what we do is we try to attract something that is out there into our experience now, but the thing is, is then we end up gaining the state of being and the emotions that I do not have what I want now because if we want it and it's out there, We're feeling that lack. So what we can begin to do is imagine and envision us having exactly what we want to have now, and we can put it as if it already happened. How would we act? How would we feel about ourselves? You see, as we begin to do this, we begin to embody those emotions, and then what happens is new opportunities can come into our life because we are then in the energy state that is necessary to perceive of them. So action is still necessary, but realize that as we begin to take on those emotions, that state of being, we then start to become someone that will get the reflection of we want in your life. So if you want, for example, to create more financial abundance in your life, begin to feel as if it already happened. Realize that whatever you focus on, you feel. And if you do this visualization exercise for just 5 or 10 minutes a day, you'll begin to create more of that emotion inside of you. You start to feel it more and more, and as you start to embody it as if it already happened, you'll start to get a taste for it, and then you'll have a reference experience for what that is. So realize these 3 techniques you can use in any variation. You can use them just a couple maybe once or twice a week, or you can use it every day. I think that the more that we use them, the more we are choosing to embody who we prefer to be, and I think that it can radically change the kind of effect we get in our life simply because we're getting to the core of who we are and we're starting to change ourselves from the inside out. So with that being said, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Feel free to like this video if you liked it, share it if you found it of value, and as always, I will see you in the next video. See you guys on the next vid. Peace, much love, namaste. Alright, bye.
