Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron Doughty and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video, I'm going to be sharing with you 3 ways to act as if that can completely transform your life. Now I believe that this video has the potential to help you understand how to anchor in the feeling of you becoming the best version of yourself, but at the same time developing the personality, developing the thought patterns that are necessary to really attract what you want in your life. Now, the power of acting as if is that when we act as if, what we do is we generate the feeling within us of us being who we prefer to be. If we are to model the behaviors, if we are to be become like the kind of person we want to become, we become as resourceful as that version of ourself. We're able to really generate the feeling of already having that which we want to experience because what we are doing is practicing the patterns in the moment now versus waiting to some exterior point in time of when we can be like that. Now, a lot of times I talk about acting as if because as we do it, we are literally syncing up to the opportunities in our life. We're starting to resonate with the kind of person we want to become. Now, the first way that we can go about this is understanding that our state of being, that how we feel about ourselves, is very dependent upon our body physiology, of the way that we are moving. And what I've learned to do, and this is a technique that I've learned that I believe is so powerful, is what I've done is I found people that are amazing speakers, people that are already living the lifestyle that I want to live, and what I do is I literally model their behavior. What I do is I model the way that they speak. If I hear— I'm listening to a seminar of someone like Tony Robbins, for example— I listen to his voice inflection, I listen to his tonality, I listen to when he breaks the patterns in his speaking. As I do things like this, I find that as I move like him, as I sync up my facial expressions to be very similar to his, that as I do this, I start to literally feel in the same state of being that he's in. And as I do that, I am recreating from within the kind of feeling that is necessary to then get the kind of results that he's getting. So understand that our state of being is controlling and molding how resourceful we are. Our state of being is determining the kind of beliefs we have about who we are, because as we're in a good state of being, we know that there are certain things that are possible. We believe in ourself in a certain way. We have a certain type of conviction and a certain type of follow-through, and that's where the power begins. Now, even with the terms act as if, I think it's more about being as if. It's more about really embodying it at a deeper level and knowing that it's not fake it till we make it. It's fake it till we become it. It's actually what we're doing is we're getting uncomfortable with our way of being because it's simply something that we haven't practiced before. It's simply a body, maybe the body language that we haven't done before, but it's not the idea is If we have body language that's always drooped down and we always have tonality that's like very not confident about ourselves, it's not that that is who we are. That's just something that we have practiced. But as we model ourselves after people we want to be similar to, what we do is we literally begin to become more like them. And that's why I always say as well that the people that you're around the most will always influence you. You will entrain your thoughts in with them, so be very aware. Of the patterns that you're running in your life. And when you find someone that is embodying the best version of themselves that you want to be like, you can model their behavior, you can model their states of being. And as you do that, you are literally becoming more like them. And with time you will get similar results that they've gotten. Now, the second way to act as if has to do with actually taking action and following the blueprint that somebody else has done. So this goes beyond just the facial recognition, goes beyond just the emotions and like the way that they speak. This is about understanding that if there's something you want to do, there are people that have already done it and you can learn from their mistakes. So when it comes to, for example, like building a YouTube channel, there are certain things that if you do that play to the YouTube algorithm, there are certain ways that you can speak that certain people will respond to. And if I were to make videos and I were to speak very soft and, you know, not very certain of myself, and there was just a certain way that I always presented myself, there might not be as good of a response as if I speak passionately. Because first off, this is my passion anyway, so it's not very hard for me to do. But the idea is that there's certain patterns, there's certain blueprints that if I follow, I will get a certain result. Now, for example, If your passion in life is painting and you want to become somebody that has your paintings in galleries or somebody that paints and posts your stuff on social media, there are people that have already done that that have been successful. And what you can do is follow what they've done. The great thing about social media is that you can go back on Instagram posts and see the kind of posts that they did. And what you can do is you can start to see what does work and what doesn't work by trial and error, and you can start to do something kind of similar but in your own way. Now, the same thing if your intention is to build a business. A certain type of business, there's a certain way to go about it that can get you amazing results without having to go through the trial and error. We don't have to recreate the wheel every time. What I can do is figure out with blogging, for example, there's a certain way to go about building a website. There's a certain way about building an email list. There's certain ways of doing things that have already been perfected or at least very optimized, and I can follow those steps to get similar results. If there's an athlete and you want to be athletic, The idea is that what you can do is see how certain people have gone about the process, certain ways that they've trained, certain things they've sacrificed in their life, and what you can then begin to do is to start to do those things. Make it a part of who you are, and as you do those daily, as you do the little things every day, they will add up and that will become more and more a part of who you are being. You will literally start to develop similar belief patterns to that version of you and you will start to then embody the feeling more and more, but also because you're taking massive action and you're doing something that gets results over time, you will eventually get similar results. So it's not about just acting as if and feeling fake. It's about actually seeing a blueprint for how you want to get where you are, taking that action, and then continuing to modify it until you get the results that you want. Now, the third way to go about this has to do with letting go of patterns that aren't serving. So the idea behind this is knowing that our patterns are creating the life experience that we have, that the things we do consistently are what is shaping who we are being in the present moment. Now, something that Dr. Joe Dispenza has talked about before in his books, and his books are very powerful in case you want to know more about this process, is that our personal reality is created by our personality. Now what this means is that the things that we consistently think, the ways that we consistently act, and the feelings we consistently feel are what creates our personality, which then creates our personal reality. Now, the idea behind this is that if there are certain patterns that are holding us into a certain frame, a certain way of thinking that is keeping us in the same mode, in the same personality, the idea is that we must stretch outside of this by letting go of what no longer serves us. Now let me give you an example of this. If you are finding yourself constantly getting into a mind loop, a thought loop of obsessing about an ex or obsessing about a specific person that's not in your life, the idea is that by doing that, you are keeping yourself in the frame of not being in a relationship, of not attracting people to you that could be something that is very beneficial, of not putting yourself out there. And that by doing that you are holding onto something that will then not allow something better into your life. It's almost like, uh, think of it like a dog and a dog bone and it's got a bone in his mouth and it has to let go of the bone before it can hold onto something else or it can find something else. Now the idea behind this is that is what we must do. We must let go of the bone in our mouth. We must let go of thinking about certain things over and over again. If there's certain television shows we're watching that we're aware are keeping us in a certain mind pattern. We must let those go because that is not in congruence with who we prefer to be. Imagine you are already in the relationship that you want to be in. Imagine that you are already doing your passion for a living. If you are doing your passion for a living and you are passionate about what you're doing, would you find yourself watching certain television shows? Would you find yourself associating with certain people that bring you down? The answer is most likely not, and if you let go of those things, you are opening up the space for you to then become the kind of person that you want to be, and that will change absolutely everything. So remember that all you have to do is first off model these states of being of the person that you want to become more like. Model the kind of facial expressions, model the tonality of that person, model the daily habits of that person. What you can then do is realize that the more you do that, the more you are feeling like them and the more that you will then create the same resourcefulness of that person. Now the second thing you can do is find the blueprint of how to get where you want to get in life. Find the blueprint of the kind of business that you want to create, of the art gallery that you want to own. What are the steps that are necessary? If you want to build a social media following, what are the steps that are necessary in order to do that? And then simply do that every single day. What I recommend, and I say this in a lot of my videos, is the first 3 things you do every day, make that the highest leverage things. I'm creating a video right now and I just woke up. The idea is that this is one of the highest leverage things that I can do. 6 months ago I thought to myself, what is the one thing that if I do every day will change my life over the course of a year? I decided to create a video every single day and I've been doing this since February and it's changed my life quite a bit just by doing that every single day. Find out what that is and simply decide to do it. And then the final thing is to let go of patterns that aren't serving you. Let go of being around people that are bringing you down. Let go of doing things that you know is incongruent to the kind of person that you want to become. So with that being said, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Feel free to like this video if you liked it. Subscribe if you haven't already. And as always, I will see you guys on the next vid. Peace, much love, namaste. Alright, bye.
