3 Weird Ways Music Influences Your Vibration (and you don't even know it)

In this video Aaron Doughty explains three subtle mechanisms by which the music we listen to can affect our personal vibration and consciousness. First, he argues that the frequencies embedded in words and sounds act as vibrational carriers; when we utter or hear certain words (including curses or sacred chants like “OM”), we align with the collective frequency of everyone else using those sounds, which can raise or lower our own state. Second, he describes how repetitive lyrics act as belief‑programming tools: repeated phrases embed themselves in the subconscious, shaping our self‑image and worldview (e.g., songs that demonize money, women, or celebrate happiness). Third, he highlights the importance of the artist’s intention and energetic field, suggesting that the creator’s own vibration—whether it’s a high‑vibe mantra or a material‑focused rap—gets transmitted to listeners, influencing their mood and even manifesting outcomes. Throughout, Aaron references concepts such as Bashar’s “pendulums,” Dr. David Hawkins’ consciousness scale, and the idea of a planetary electromagnetic field that stores collective thoughts. He concludes with practical advice to become aware of the music we consume, to choose higher‑vibration sounds, and to consider the intention behind the artists we listen to.

This video, I'm going to be sharing with you 3 ways that music is influencing your vibration and you may not even know it. And I'm going to show you things that you can do so that you aren't negatively impacted. Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video, I'm going to be sharing with you that of understanding the kind of weird influence that music has on our consciousness. And in also understanding, like if we know this, if we know that when we listen to music, it puts us into a certain frequency depending on a couple of the different factors I'm gonna be sharing in this video, then are there ways of modifying our outer environment, which is the what we listen to, to then influence our inner environment, which is how we feel and what we think about ourselves? Now, this is something that I have been kind of aware of since I was even younger, even before I got into the spiritual awakening for information. I remember listening to certain music and thinking to myself like, this doesn't sound like a positive thing to be continuously putting into my consciousness and saying certain affirmations. Like certain songs are very catchy and when you're thinking of them, it's like you're, especially because they're catchy, Think about the repetition that's involved there. If you hear a certain song and it says something, and say like the song was talking about like how money is evil or something, I mean, I don't know how many songs talk about how money is evil. Normally they talk about glorifying money, but say they were like, it was like money is evil, and then you get it stuck in your head and it's like money is evil, money is evil, money is evil. So it's like this thing that with repetition becomes wired into your consciousness, and then it's something that you believe because thoughts with repetition equal beliefs. And then thoughts with repetition and added emotion are even stronger normally wired in. So normally when you're getting into a certain state and you're talking about maybe there's a song about a breakup, like think about this, like a song that's about a breakup and how whole, how incomplete somebody feels from listening to that song. And they're like, oh, I feel like incomplete and all this other stuff without you. And you say that over and over and over again with emotion, with that of the depth of the words inside of it as well, and that gets programmed into your subconscious mind and you say it over and over and over again. So understand that, especially with music, because music has a tendency to stay kind of locked into our thought process with repetition, then we are wiring ourselves in different ways. So one thing that I've become aware of, especially in my spiritual awakening journey, is how aware am I of the information of the music that I'm listening to and how influences my vibration. Now, this isn't an end-all be-all. This doesn't mean that if you listen to certain songs and you enjoy it, but they don't have necessarily— you don't know the exact intention of the song or anything— that you have to like never listen to it again. I'm just saying be aware of how some of these things may influence us. Now, the first thing I want to talk about, and the first weird way that it influences us, is understanding that the frequencies that and the words that are used carry a certain frequency. Now let me show you an example. I've noticed this within myself. If I start to curse and I start to, first off, let me show you guys this. Look how amazing this is. Okay, I'm gonna show you guys. This is the Airbnb in that I'm like looking at this view right now while I'm trying to look at the camera. So I wanted to share that real quick. Look at that. This is in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, and it's so beautiful here, but this is my first day here and I'm just filming this video. So, uh, where was I? Okay, so the, the thoughts that we have now, cursing. I noticed that when I curse, and I do that sometimes, and, um, when I do, what I notice, and something that I became minutely aware of, and then I confirmed with someone named Bashar, who many of you may have heard of before. But if I curse and I'm like, ah, I don't wanna curse 'cause yeah, I don't wanna bring that vibration through. But if I were to and I say certain words, what I notice and what I believe happens is that our energy state, because words are vibration, the vibrational frequency that we are resonating in when we say these words are linking up other people with other words and other people that have thought those words before or not before, but just in general. And we pick up on the frequencies of other people that are also cursing. And cursing many times can also be something that then puts them— think about the state some people are in when they're saying the F-word very often, you see. Now this is something I had confirmed by talking to Bashar. I went to a Bashar conference and— or like a seminar workshop, and I got to ask questions. And one of the questions I asked is, when listening to certain songs, what happens is If you get a certain song stuck in your head, many other people on the planet have also been thinking and feeling a certain way while listening to that same song. You begin to pick up on the frequencies of those other people who are also in the frequency of that song, listening to it. It's stuck in their head as well because everything is frequency. And what I talked about with Bashar was something called pendulums, this understanding that our thoughts have an energetic form even though we don't actually see it. So thoughts are literally things. Now when we think certain thoughts and when we think of certain curse words, when we think of certain songs, it puts us into a certain frequency and everybody else that's on the planet that's in that frequency, because we're connected to a collective consciousness, we begin to pick up and pull through information that they are also thinking of. Now it doesn't mean it always influences us in such a negative way, but in general, think of everything as frequency and anything you pay attention to, anything you vibrate at the same frequency at, you are picking up and pulling in information based on that thought structure. So I know this is a more esoteric concept, but our thoughts are literal things. When we think certain thoughts and we think in certain thought structures, which are like songs, there are many other people on the planet that think the same thing. And because we're all connected via this collective consciousness, we pick up on the emotions and the feelings of those people that are listening to that song. So what you'll notice is that there may be higher vibe song, songs that other higher vibe people may be listening to, maybe even with sacred intention, maybe something that they listen to to get them into a certain state so that they can meditate. And when you listen to it, you pick up on a certain frequency because it's also within the collective consciousness. You see? So this is about understanding that we're all connected. Imagine the earth and around the earth is an electromagnetic field. Field. And within this electromagnetic field is the accumulated thoughts and emotions and feelings of all 7+ billion people on the planet. Now, when we are tuning to a certain frequency, whether that's a certain type of music that has a certain intention, that are certain words, the billions of other people or millions of other people on the planet that are also listening to it, we begin to tune to the frequency of everyone else as well. It connects us into that vibration. So if we're listening to songs that are like, you know, maybe disrespecting a certain type of people, maybe songs that are maybe like a heartbreak song, for example, where there's many other people that are feeling that same way, you may find that it has a certain influence on your vibration because you're also picking up on the vibrations of everyone else that's feeling that emotion. So this is why I think that sacred sounds can be so powerful, because sacred sounds means that the energy that people are putting out, like even Oh, that frequency right there. Probably feel even if you were to do that real quick, you would feel— try it right now with me right now. Just go open up your mouth like, oh. OM is a frequency that's been around for a very, very long time that people have been using it with sacred intention. And if you study the work of Dr. David Hawkins, OM, the mantra itself, is the sound of the universe and it calibrates at over 700 on the scale of consciousness from 0 to 1,000. It's a very high vibration. Many people that use that frequency use it with the divine intention, and because of that, you connect to the energy of everyone else. That is also connected in at it, that also has that divine intention. That's why that could be such a powerful intention, uh, and such a powerful sound. So the first part of this is understanding that when you are thinking and feeling and putting yourself in a frequency, there are millions of other people on the planet that have done the same thing, and you connect yourself to their energy fields based on that frequency you're putting yourself in. And what Bashar said about that is everything is frequency. And he said that when I was asking him this question specifically, he said that when you, when you do it, you do end up linking up to that energy field and to those frequencies, but it really only influences you if you are in a way, I guess, unconscious of it and, and kind of in the autopilot mind. If you don't have that intention of like not necessarily being influenced by it, if that makes sense. Now, the second weird way that music will influence your vibration is by influencing your beliefs, by influencing your beliefs. So music with the different artists that you may, you know, different musical artists that you may resonate with, these different people all have different belief systems and based on their music and what they're saying, the definitions themselves, the definitions, the words they use, Listening to certain songs, especially continuously and on repetition, will wire your beliefs. So if there are certain money— there's certain beliefs about, like, for example, maybe like underground, some underground hip-hop that talks about how the government is corrupt. Now, not to say that the government isn't corrupt, but what I'm saying is that that belief structure could end up building in resistance. Maybe it's like your power's been taken away from you. You gotta do this, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And even though that may be inherently true, that certain power has been in a way externalized, or, you know, whether you agree with it or not, the idea is if it's provoking that emotion within us, it can be powerful because it can wake people up. But sometimes people can stay there a little bit too long to where then they start to develop resistance and negative beliefs about how they're not powerful because of all this resistance going on in the world. And there are many different layers to this. There are many songs and music in general that will talk negative about women. And when you have songs that are talking negatively about women, there may be a programmed way that many guys listening to that, and even girls listening to that, may start to see women in a disempowered state because of the repetition of the song. The song was in an Uber. With Lior a couple days, like last week, and it was a song that we were listening to and it was, um, what was it? It was like Shake That. Yeah, it was a— I know what song it was, but I don't— it was a song that if it were coming out today's age, it like, it would get so much, so much controversy about it. But back in the day, oh yeah, it was with Eminem. It was Shake That. With Eminem and who else? I forget. But anyways, it was very kind of dominating, like the feminine in the world. And it was very interesting because you can imagine people listen to that, it's like, yeah, that's how people should treat, that's how people should, that's how they should be treated, or that's how they should treat me and they should do what I want. Like it programs the beliefs. And the viewpoints and the perspectives that we have, and even the self-images that we have, and especially listen to it consistently. So I know it's kind of a weird way, but I understand our beliefs create our reality, and the way that we show up in our world is many times dependent on our beliefs about ourselves and the beliefs about others and the way we relate to other people. So music has a very profound impact on the words and the language that we use in our own life. And if we're listening to songs that are demeaning women, this doesn't actually have to always be bad. This could be a very positive thing. I know Pharrell has some high vibe music when it comes to the song Happy, for example. It's a very high vibrational song and it's consistently wired in because I'm happy, because I'm happy, because I'm happy, because I'm happy. Remember, I remember that song years ago was like first coming out and it was like everywhere and it was like a movement. But it's like that has a powerful effect. Those words, you get that stuck in your head. I'm happy, I am happy because I'm happy because I'm happy because I'm happy because I'm happy. That has a powerful impact. But most songs aren't like that. Most songs don't have that kind of wording, that kind of belief structure to it. Most of the songs are wiring in. You know, back in the day I used to listen to a lot of, what's his name? B-O-B-Y-O-B. Bob, forget his name. But anyways, his songs were very, I like listening to his songs. However, there were some of the songs that were very much about like how the government's corrupt and stuff like that. And that could even cause resistance. Now it could serve a purpose, but it can also cause resistance. So that's the second way, the words influence our belief patterns and our belief structures. Now the third thing I wanna talk about is that of intention. What is the energy state in of the artist that you're listening to? If you're reading a book, you pick up on the frequency of the author that wrote the book. If you're listening to music, you're picking up on the energy field and the tonality and the intention of the person that you are listening to. There's this weird feeling that I've always had about Pete, like, again, a lot of hip hop as well that talks about like how much money they have. 'Cause when you're talking about how much money you have and you're putting it out there like that, I feel like the thought, the emotion, the energy goes out and then you have millions of other people that are also like manifesting that for you by repetitiously wiring that in to the collective consciousness. Now I think that that actually helps them. Maybe not that that's like the key, but I had this feeling that that does influence their manifestation when they're talking and they're having this image of them being multi, multi-millionaires and then they have millions of people on the planet seeing them as a multi, multi-millionaire it can have an impact. And however, the intention of the state of the person that is making the song or performing the song, that has an influence on us, the energy state. So that is something to pay attention to as well. Who are you listening to and do you like their energy? Now, some people, when they get into that of certain songs that they sing, they start to literally channel energy when they do that, especially high vibrational music. They're literally kind of getting out the way and they just like almost, it just comes through them. And then you may listen to that and you may feel the high vibration. That's why some people I think like to watch people live, live performances, because of the influence that'll have. However, in the same way, I think that when I do these videos, I get into a flow state and then many people like the energy of these videos when really it's just me being in a flow state. So you see the attention and the person's energy that you are consuming the songs from will also impact you. So be aware of what that energy state is. Be aware of how they feel about themselves. Be aware of their own energy and ask yourself, do I want to bring more of that energy into my life? Now, when someone is doing like a sacred mantra, for example, with that intention that that person has when they're doing that mantra, when you then do that mantra, you put yourself into that high vibe frequency of the person that's doing it, that has that divine intention.
