embrace your dark side. You're afraid that your dark side is going to cause abandonment in your life. People are going to reject you if you embrace your dark side. The very thing you're afraid of embodying is the key to freedom. You might feel like you're in a box. You might feel like you are trapped and not able to be yourself when you are around other people, and you might say it's them draining your energy. But really what may be happening at a deeper level is you are trying to stay within the inauthentic confinements of who you believe you need to be to receive love. And if as a kid you had to be perfect, performative, ease tension, the people pleaser, guess what? That's not the real you. That's a performative you that you believe you have to be in order to receive love. Conditional love at that. And what I'm saying is you can remove that box by leaning into your dark side, embracing, leaning into tension. Realize that someone else's tension is not your thing to manage.
