Beyond the Law of Attraction, Free will, Ghosts and More Q and A with Aaron Doughty (100K Special)

In this celebratory Q&A, Aaron Doughty reflects on reaching 100,000 YouTube subscribers and answers a wide range of viewer questions. He opens the YouTube Creator Award, emphasizing that the milestone represents collective intention and shared consciousness rather than personal fame. He discusses the relevance of "The Secret" and the Law of Attraction, describing it as a useful entry point but stressing the need to integrate thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and aligned action. Aaron then outlines his daily routine—meditation with a candle, acupressure mat, cold showers, video production, editing, business work, gym sessions, alkaline water, and grounding barefoot on grass—framing it as a practice of intentional living. He advises on maintaining focus by setting clear intentions, aligning them with the heart, and being aware of limiting beliefs. Aaron shares his spiritual awakening story, crediting meditation as the catalyst that revealed the connection between thoughts, beliefs, and experience, leading him to adopt the view of being a spiritual being having a human experience. He addresses paranormal topics, suggesting that belief systems shape experiences and that such phenomena reflect consciousness rather than external threats. He offers strategies for navigating shallow small‑talk by consciously steering conversations toward deeper questions. Travel favorites are highlighted, with Sedona, Arizona described as a high‑vibe spiritual destination, followed by Costa Rica and Hawaii. Finally, he tackles free‑will versus determinism, proposing that only the present moment truly exists, that we continuously create reality through intention and emotion, and that following one’s passion aligns with pre‑life “appointments.” The video ends with gratitude to his audience and a promise to continue evolving his content.

Welcome to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. In this video, I'm sure you guys can see, I'm going to block that out, but you see that it's from YouTube. What I'm going to do is I'm going to open this up with you guys. I feel like it's not fair if I open it up by myself because one of the reasons we are where we are is specifically because of all of us. So I'm going to open this with you guys. I'm going to answer some of you guys' questions. I asked you guys, like 2, 3, we hit 100,000 I think in September and I had you guys write down a whole bunch of questions that I was gonna do for a Q&A video and what happened was is it just took YouTube about 3 or 4 months to get the actual plaque here. So today what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna actually do it today. So, you know, a couple months late but hey, better than later, better than never I guess, right? So here we go. I could have been dangerous. Okay, one more. Okay, one more. There we go. All right. Oh yeah. So, ah, feels nice. Feels nice and heavy. Here we go. It's got plastic around it to keep it safe because it's so special. It's gonna go right behind where— oh shit. You guys know when I just opened it really like extravagantly with the knife? Not a good idea. Let me show you guys why. Now I got this line going all the way down the middle, but hey, it's just the case. It's not that big of a deal. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? And more so than anything, this is like a symbol of— it's not like me necessarily, but it's a symbol of if you do something and you put your intention into doing it and you, you just decide that you're going to do something and especially if it's following your heart, that things can happen. So I don't want you guys to think that by me like sharing this part of it with you that I'm like, oh, look at what I have, you know, 100,000. Now we're at 200,000 on, on YouTube. But it's not about that. It's about us together. It's about the idea that I think more and more people are becoming aware of who they are. And therefore, it's like, you know, it's just a part of the process, you know what I mean? So anyways, there's this little letter in here, right there. I think I've seen other people talk about it before, but I don't know if I'm going to read it. And some 100,000 people subscribe to the channel. Numbers on YouTube get really big. Don't lose sight of reality behind the 6-digit milestone. Each and every person has subscribed For everyone who has subscribed to your channel has been touched by what you created. You inspired, challenged, and entertained. You achieved this milestone with hard work, perseverance, and possibly a healthy sense of humor too. What you've accomplished can't be taken away from you. Next is a million. It's pretty much what it says. So signed by Susan, the CEO of YouTube in general. So with that, here we go. This is what it looks like. It's got plastic around it. You see the ring light, but you guys get the picture. Says Aaron Doughty, congratulations on surpassing 100,000 subscribers. So it's cool. It's really cool feeling. It's cool to be able to know, you know, it's funny, not too long ago, or maybe it was like a year ago, I remember I was creating videos and I was doing it and I would just continue to go for it. I remember that my sister making fun of me because they're like, oh, Why are you creating YouTube videos? You're creating YouTube videos for like your 12 subscribers? Because at the time I had like 12, 13, or 14 subscribers or something like that. I was like, you'll see one day, you'll see, you know. And I just continued to put in the hard work. But it's not just the hard work. It's like, you know, I enjoy doing it. So it doesn't feel like it's actually that, you know, hard to do. But nonetheless, I love doing it. It's the reason I do it. It's cool that this is a side effect of that. Um, it definitely was a goal. I'm not gonna lie and say, no, I never had a goal of hitting 100,000 or anything like that. Um, it was a goal. It was an intention I had, and it's just a side effect of doing what I love, which is obviously creating videos for you guys. So in response, um, what I'm going to do is a Q&A right now. What I did is I asked on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat, mainly Facebook and Instagram, for you guys to send in questions. And I got a whole bunch of answers from you guys or questions from you guys. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to answer some of those right now. Let's see. There's a whole bunch of them. So there's like 3 pages and I kind of screenshotted a whole bunch of them simply because it makes it easier. Couldn't make the printer— printer wasn't working for some reason. So I was like, hey, I'm just going to do it this way. Although The Secret is quite outdated in terms of LOA concepts, do you think it's still good to watch? Absolutely. I think that if you've never seen anything with the LOA before, like the law of attraction, I think that it can be very powerful. For me, it was the seed that was planted. I remember I was like 14 or 15 years old. My mom was like, you have to watch this movie. And I was like, oh, you know, I was kind of like putting it off, but eventually I did. And that's what planted the seed. And then years later, it just kept deepening and I kept seeing more and more correlation. I remember when I watched it, there was like this feeling inside of me, like there was something true about it. There was something real about it. And then what I did is I simply started to pay more attention to what I was thinking of. I'd been a pretty positive person because I went through a lot of stuff in my childhood that was very negative. So when I came out of that, it was like everything was positive because I had my freedom, you know, I wasn't being controlled by somebody. So it was like all of a sudden I was able to kind of do what I want. So even if something was bad, it wasn't as bad as it used to be. So I could definitely see that correlation between my thoughts and my experiences. So I'd say Yes, but there's a couple of things that The Secret kind of underemphasized, and that is thinking that it's mainly just about the thoughts themselves. It's about putting it into a complete unit of understanding, taking action, understanding, doing not just to take it, not just taking action, but also your energy, how you view yourself, your beliefs about who you are, and going at it from that point of view. But it is a good barrier to entry. In a way to get started. So that's what I say about that. Hmm. Couple unique questions. Aaron, love your videos. Could you share to us your daily routine so we know what we should do? That's from Andy Chill. So my daily routine is different than it used to be. I get up every day. The first thing I do when I get up is I come out of bed and I get and I meditate. Right next to my bed is a meditation station. That's what I call it. And I got a candle on there. I like the candle. I start the flame. The reason I started a flame is because it keeps it so that my eyes don't wander so much. I find that when my eyes are wandering, my mind is wandering as well. So that's something that I do for about 10 minutes, 10, 15 minutes. After that, sometimes I'll get on this thing called an acupressure mat, which is like this thing that has like the little spikes on it that you lay on. And I do that every now and then, kind of like when I remember. One thing I've done almost every single day for the past about a year now is I've been doing cold showers. So I wake up, I meditate. Right after that, I get my camera set up. So I just kind of like, kind of like the tripod and all that stuff. And then what I do is I, I get in the cold shower. It's like as cold as it can be right now. It's winter-ish, you know, it's pretty cold out so that the water pretty much comes out, you know, I'm in Vegas. So in the summertime, it takes a minute for it to get cold actually. But right now it comes out really cold. I take a cold shower for about a minute, minute and a half. And when I'm done with that, I go dry myself off and I get straight into shooting videos. I shoot about 3 videos a day. I'm about 70 videos ahead right now on YouTube. And, um, it's like I also create videos for programs that I have. I create videos just, uh, pretty much the first like hour of my day. After that, I go straight to editing. I normally edit those videos. I find that if I have too many videos and I don't organize them by putting them into one spot, gets really confusing. So I edit them right after I'm done with that, I upload them. And, um, from there, normally what I'll do is do some business stuff. So normally it's some type of marketing stuff, learning, uh, online. And then what I do is I go to the gym. Now I go to gym normally with my buddy Victor, Victor Odo, who's a fellow YouTuber. Uh, we're best friends. We hang out almost every single day. We go there. And then after that, normally I will go eat and then I'll try to relax. I mean, I say try, like I have to really try, but I love what I do. I love business. I love being an entrepreneur. I love everything about creating of what I do. So I do it a lot. I'm not going to lie. I probably, you know, when I left my 9 to 5 back in August, I was working probably 40 hours a week and making videos about 20 hours a week. I probably work about the same, about 60 hours a week or more, probably 70 hours a week. But I love what I do, so it don't feel like work. You know what I mean? So that's what I do. I normally go to bed and I, I do— when I go to bed, normally what I do is I walk outside on grass barefoot for about 2-3 minutes. I just feel like it helps ground me, especially because I'm looking at a computer screen all day. So I know I just answered that really long, but you guys kind of get the picture. But that's kind of my daily routine. You know, I eat healthy, I drink alkaline water. Not that that makes me better than anybody else, but I just, I feel like it gives me so much energy. So yeah, I keep doing it. This is from Terry. It says, how do you keep focused on seeking one goal to manifest. Now the idea to this is, um, you just have to learn how to manage your thoughts more so than anything else and then follow through with your actions. So I've been talking about this a lot on the channel recently. It's about setting intentions. If you simply set more intentions in your life, you will start to get better results. Most people, they don't know what they want. They're not moving in any specific direction. And when you do that, it's kind of like having a boat without a sail. It's like the boat can't really go anywhere because the sail isn't set up. So the idea is you set up the sail, that's kind of your intention. Let that carry you through where you're going. Set intentions. And as you set the intention for that and you follow that up with taking action and make sure it's connected to your heart as well. Most people make goals about money. You see, the thing is, is the head can connect to the money, right? Because the, the mind looks at money and goes, oh, that's something good because that money translates into freedom. The money equals that freedom of emotion. The heart connects to more of emotion, so what we must do is find our passion and to do that or to find parts of what we're doing and make it passionate. And as we do that, we see better results. So I'd say the easiest thing to do is to also, uh, is to set intentions, but also to be aware of what are your beliefs about your own focus? What are your beliefs about the process? Because if you believe it has to be complicated, then it will be. If you believe that it's hard to focus, guess what? That becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. So become aware of what those are. It makes it so much easier. Set more intentions and I think you'll find that things happen in a much easier type way. I said that very slow so that it bought me some time to find a question. What caused your spiritual awakening? Uh, good question. Um, what was it? It was mainly I started meditating and I've always been interested into the deeper things of life, like the surface conversations and stuff. I've always wanted to go deeper and I just in general with people, you know, And for me, I started learning about how I wanted to know how reality works in general. And it was, it was very mind-blowing to me because I would talk about it with like people that I knew and it was like almost people just weren't interested in it. And I was like, why, why don't people want to know how things happen so that if you know how things happen, you can figure it out and create what you want in your life? And that was one thing that I started, you know, I've always kind of been focused on and then I started meditating because I had quote unquote at the time what's called ADHD. So I was taking Adderall for that, which is the prescription drug they give out. Saw harsh side effects, couldn't eat very much, couldn't sleep very much. So what I did is I decided that I was going to find something that was an alternative. So I came across meditation. There was just so much black and white type, um, information online that said meditation is very beneficial and all these benefits of it. So I tried it and I did it and it was like the second or third day in, it just, everything started to change for me. I started to feel so differently. I felt like, um, on a scale of 1 to 10, I was maybe normally feeling at a 4 or 5. All of a sudden I'm feeling like a 7 or an 8. I did not know what was going on. I started to feel better majority of the time. I started to become aware of how my beliefs were creating my experience. I became aware of how my thoughts were correlating with what I was experiencing, and from that it changed just about everything and I started to feel differently from a spiritual point of view. You know, I grew up going to church and stuff and, um, you You know, not be kind of like not forced to go, well, kind of. And it was like, you know, it's never really resonated with me, the whole idea of having like, I guess the stereotypical way that we understand religion where like kind of like a fearful God that controls and wants you and like it's jealous of certain things and all these like kind of emotions that just didn't really make sense to me. So I always kind of had that perspective as like, oh, that didn't, doesn't really resonate with me. So I was like, I believe in something more, but I didn't know what to label it as. And then when I went through my spiritual awakening, I realized this more connection between all things. I realized that we are all connected and it made it a lot easier for me to then, you know, I didn't really, I don't really believe in the label of it, but I do believe there's much more to life than just this physical experience that we're having and whatever we call it depends on the person and the person's belief systems. But for me, I just choose to believe that I am a spiritual being having a temporary human experience and that's profoundly changed my life in so many ways because I'm able to see hear in a different way. I'm able to interact with people in a different way because I realize that at a deeper point, people are a reflection of— people are kind of like a reflection of me in a way, and I'm able to connect to them at a deeper level. I don't see people as separate as I used to. I think we're all connected. So that's kind of my perspective and kind of what caused it. Here's an interesting one. Do you believe in ghosts and paranormal activities? I think that the better question to ask is, or the, the answer to that is that it depends on the person's belief systems. Now I believe that if people believe into that, and a lot of people fear it, so people will have certain experiences of it, but I think that we live in a reality that is much more vast than we can possibly imagine. And I think that it's possible, if not probable, that people can have those kinds of experiences, but at a deeper level, it's a reflection of our own consciousness. So it's not something to really be feared necessarily. I do believe in the— I do believe that there's just more to life in general and I don't— I'm not saying that I totally know everything about it or like I see, because I'm definitely not that kind of person that can see things like that. But I don't discount it and I don't like think that it's not true just because I haven't had a lot of experiences. My sister actually, One of my younger sisters, she actually has been very clairvoyant since she was like really young, since she was like 6 or 7 years old. And she's been able to see kind of like people that have passed over and it freaked her out for a long time, but she's been able to do it and she kind of gotten used to it. And I remember it was kind of weird for a long time because we didn't know how to, you know, me and my mom, we didn't really know how to respond to it. But it's something that, you know, it definitely opened my mind because I'm not going to sit there and think my sister's crazy. Would listen to her and see what she was thinking. And you know, it's from such an early age, you know, so I find it interesting. I don't put too much power into it in a fearful type way, but I think it's cool nonetheless. So that's kind of my perspective on it. Let's see, let's go to this page. I like this question. How do you handle meaningless conversations, small talk, weather, gossip, award shows, talk about TV shows like The Bachelor, Kardashians? I feel like 90% of conversations I encounter are like that. That's something I deal with every now and then because I, you know, I go to the gym. This gym I go to, there's a sauna there and you know, when you're in there for a long period of time, it's like you just kind of want to talk because it makes the time go by faster. And a lot of times people are talking about, you know, when the election was happening, it was about the election. When it's like some, uh, the weather and stuff like that. But, uh, the way you get through that is you consciously decide that you can push through and become somebody that helps people kind of feel comfortable pushing through in a deeper level, you know. I believe that I'm not known for this, but I'm, I'm very comfortable for people to talk to. At least I noticed that a lot of people open up when I'm in conversation with them. So if I'm having a certain conversation with someone and I want to go deeper, I can find ways of talking about certain things that ask the right questions that get them to go deeper and to feel comfortable with it. So it's not so much, um, it's not so much anything other than just be open yourself and understand that if you make it so important that people think, you know, know what you're thinking or, you know, that it's a shallow type conversation, or if you judge it in your mind, then you might start to block it out. Just allow it to be there and decide that you can veer the conversation in another direction and that as you veer it in another direction, you are influencing it in that way. So you can do that by asking the right questions, genuinely being interested in somebody else and being open yourself because people can feel how you feel. So if you feel kind of not judgmental, but in a way labeling it as, this is very shallow or something like that, they'll feel that and they'll kind of compensate and ping back and forth on that. So I'd say first off, just to simply let go of the label itself and then just ask questions and realize that you can steer the conversation in a certain direction. A lot of times if people are talking about stuff that's like very kind of like deeply, like a negative type situation, what I do is I'm not like, oh my God, that's negative. I don't want to talk about that. I just simply ask a new question in a different direction. I'm like, what about this? And then I kind of point or I'm talking about something. Didn't you mention last time that this is what you're going to do? How did that go? You know, I just kind of veered the direction of the conversation a little bit. Where's your favorite place to go for 2 or 3 days? That's like very spiritual. That would be Sedona, Arizona. That's my absolute favorite place to go is Sedona, Arizona. There's something about it. You know, it's funny because I don't really— I live in Las Vegas. I'm not really that crazy about deserts and stuff like that. You know, I like normally to go to somewhere where it's very green or the beach or something because it's different. But I went to— I had a lot of people telling me you should try Sedona. I think you'd really like it. You'd like the vibe there. And it's like, yeah, I eventually went. And since I went like 2 or 3 years ago, I go almost every 3 or 4 months now because there's something about the energy there. There's something— it's just such a, such a high vibe place. I'm not really sure how to put my finger on it. I believe that It's something you just know when you, when you go there, you just kind of feel it. You know what I mean? Now, other places I went to, Costa Rica. Costa Rica has an amazing vibe as well. I've been to Hawaii. Hawaii, from what I understand, you know, we all have chakras. The idea is that Hawaii is the heart chakra of the world. I think that's why a lot of people go on honeymoons there. And yeah, Hawaii was really cool too. But I'd say, I'd say more so than anything though, Sedona. If you can make it to Sedona, go to Bell Rock. That's my favorite place to hike in Sedona. And it's pretty easy to get to as well. You can go up as far as you want. But me and Victor went there recently, actually. We had a whole bunch of work to do and we decided to go there and we had a really good time. It has to do with understanding free will, but can something be determined at our birth? So in general, there's a couple of different ways I can take this. I'm going to do it the less complicated way right now because what I could talk about is the idea of understanding that the only moment that exists is right now. So before we were born, it's kind of like a perception of an outdated terminology when really that exists right now, that version of you. It's just that your perception is kind of filtering through to where you are now. So it's like almost like there's an infinite number of past probabilities and an infinite number of future probabilities. So, uh, the idea is that right now we're creating that in the present moment. So you connect to a different part of your past when you're feeling in a certain way and think about it, you're in a certain state of being. You connect to a different past than you do when you're in a different state of being. That's because the neuronal structure in your brain, the way the synaptic connections in your brain work, they go down the path of least resistance. And when you're in a certain feeling, that's a different past that you're connecting to. So the idea is just having that level of awareness. But when it comes to it in general, yes, I believe that from that perspective, we do have certain things we want to accomplish. I think that for me, one thing that I wanted to do in this, in life, is to share this kind of information. And to be some type of speaker, to be a voice in some way, whether that's through me doing videos like I'm doing or whether that was through writing or some type of modality of sharing ideas. Now the way that we go about that is up to our free will and in general our passion will be tuned to what we set out to do in our life. So the idea is that if you follow your passion, you're going to be linking up with those appointments, metaphorically speaking, that you made before you came into life. The idea is to follow your passion. When you follow your passion and you come at it from your heart space, you'll find that things happen easier. You'll find that you really start to see synchronicity in your life because that's a natural byproduct of you doing your passion. So I'll make, I make future videos on this. I'm starting to get a little bit more esoteric with some of the videos on this channel because let's be honest, I know a lot of you guys love the LOA videos, but I'm starting to go in a different direction. It'll still be LOA videos, but it'll be in a different flavor because I'm always trying to grow. I'm always trying to expand outside of, you know, what's comfortable. And I hope to take you guys with me, and I hope you guys enjoy the ride as well. So once again, I just want to say thank you guys for everything. Thank you guys for this, for the play button. I'm going to take the plastic off and it'll look better in a little bit. And other than that, I appreciate you guys, and I will see you guys on the next vid. Peace, much love, and namaste.
