Body Language and the Law of Attraction (How to Apply it to Attract what you want)

In this video Aaron Doughty explains how deliberately changing your body language—specifically by adopting power poses such as the Superman/Superwoman stance—can alter your physiology (increasing testosterone, decreasing cortisol) and thereby reshape your self‑image and emotional state. He frames self‑image as a cybernetic thermostat that automatically pulls you back to the identity you hold, unless you consciously reset it. By repeatedly practicing short (1‑2 minute) power‑pose sessions 2‑3 times a day and pairing them with the “acting as if” mindset—visualizing and feeling yourself as the best version you want to become—you create an NLP anchor that rewires your internal state. This new state of being then aligns with the law of attraction, allowing you to attract experiences that reflect the upgraded self. Aaron provides a step‑by‑step routine, ties the concepts together, and ends with a call to action for viewers to apply the practice.

Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video, I'll be sharing with you how to use your body language with the law of attraction to really optimize who you are being in the present moment to then get the reflection that you want in your life. There was a TED Talk that was done years ago by a lady named Amy Cuddy, and it was on how body language shapes who we are. And in that TED Talk, what she talks about is that if we were to stand in what is called a power pose, which is where we like stand in the Superman pose with our hands at our hips, our chest out, our chin level, and we do that for just a couple minutes a day, that that changes the chemistry in our body. We will naturally release more testosterone, less cortisol, and that, that then changes how we show up in the world and the kind of experiences that we have. Now what I want to do is correlate that with understanding two main ideas. One, that that changes our self-image. By doing that just a couple minutes a day, we can begin to change the way that we see ourselves, which then changes what we project out into the world and ultimately the kind of actions that we take and what we end up doing. And then secondly, Secondly, that changes our state of being. Now understand that our state of being is so powerful when it comes to understanding what we get with the law of attraction, because our emotional state of being, the perspective, the lens through which we see the world, is going to influence the kind of actions that we take and also the kind of experience that we resonate with. So the idea is that if we can use our body language to influence these these two things, it will radically change the kind of experiences we have because then we realize that the experiences that we do have are a reflection of who we are being and the way that we see ourselves. Now understand that our self-image is what is called a cybernetic mechanism. Now it sounds like a very fancy word, but think of it in the form of the thermometer in your house. The thermometer in your house might be at 68 degrees. If you were to open the window and this is Vegas, so if we open the window in Vegas, what happens is it gets hotter. What'll happen is when it's set to 70, it will turn on the AC and bring it from 72 or whatever it went up to back to 70 degrees. Well, our bodies and the way that we think about ourselves is very similar with that kind of mechanism. If we view ourselves as someone that's just overweight, what'll happen is, is even if we go on a diet it'll be hard for us to revert back unless we change our self-image and then go and take action towards losing weight. So the idea is that we will subconsciously bump ourselves back to the weight that we are if we don't change the self-image that we have. Now luckily what we can do is we can change our body language in order to then change the way that we view ourselves, and as we do that, everything begins to change. Now I also want to relate this to something else that I talk about, and that's with understanding that, as I always say on this channel, we don't always get that which we want, but we always get a reflection of who we are being. Now, who we are being is composed of the self-image that we have, the beliefs that we have about who we are, the action that we're taking, the emotions that we feel, and when we learn how to tailor those things from the inside That's when then we will see the change on the outside. Now, a powerful process for doing that, it is what is called acting as if. I've done many videos on this and it's a very powerful way for you to view the best possible version of yourself and to then start to view how you would act, the body language that you would have, the kind of emotions that you would feel. And if you were to start to act as if the best version of yourself is who you are right now, you begin you begin to tailor that and you begin to act as if, that begins to change who you are being, and you will then resonate with new type of experiences. You will develop a new state of being that will change everything about you. Now this means that what we can do, and a part of acting as if, is our body language. So begin to imagine the best version of yourself, and if you imagine that as somebody who is confident, somebody who is able to influence other people in a positive way, or able to do exactly what you want to be doing for a living, you'll notice that in that imagery there's a certain way that you carry yourself. Now, if you were to take that body language and then apply it right now in the present moment, it does a number of things, and one of it is it puts you into a certain state of being that generates the feeling, which is a very important part of the process with the law of attraction, and allows you to then resonate with opportunities that are in alignment with that. And then also it allows you to simply be who you prefer to be. It's as simple as that decision. Now, how can you apply this in your life with the law of attraction? Well, the first thing you can do is for just 2 or 3 times a day for a minute or 2, you can stand in that Superwoman or Superman pose, which means you just simply stand with your hands at your hips, your chest out, your chin level, and you do that. And as you do that, what I recommend you do is you develop and you view yourself as the best possible version of yourself. So initially what you're doing is setting what is called an anchor. This is a common technique that they use in what is called NLP. Now that's called Neuro Linguistic Programming, which is a very powerful way for us to optimize our brain to then align it with who we prefer to be. So start to view yourself as the best possible version of yourself, how you would be acting, the kind of situations you'd be in to generate that state of feeling from within. And as you begin to do that, you are using the power of that body language and you are combining that with the emotional state of being and the ability to then simply decide that that is who you are now. So you are initially acting as if as you come out of that little 1 or 2 minute exercise, and what that begins to do is allow you to resonate with different type of experiences than you would before because you've changed the generated feeling from within. So understand you could do this 2 or 3 times a day and that as you do it, you are aligning yourself with acting as if you are the preferred version of who you are. This is also just a good personal development tip to begin with as well because it changes the testosterone in the body. It lowers the cortisol, which is the stress hormone, and allows you to simply just show up more powerfully in the world. So understand that as you align your body language to the best version of yourself, you are then acting as if to then get the reflection that you want in your life. As you come out of those little 1 or 2 minute exercises every day, Simply decide that that is who you are now, and as you begin to anchor in those feelings and that self-image, eventually that will be your dominant state of being and that will be your dominant self-image. So with that being said, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Feel free to like this video if you liked it, share it if you found it of value, and as always, I'll see you guys on the next vid. Peace, much love, namaste. Alright, bye.
