Aaron Doughty explains that chasing people comes from feeling incomplete and needing external validation. The fix is self-inquiry: ask why you want them, what belief says their approval makes you whole, and recognize the insecurity underneath. Detachment and inner safety naturally make you more magnetic than pursuit ever will.

If someone is chasing anything or anyone, what is happening is that chasing energy is energetically saying that I am not okay where I'm at now and I wanna be over there to feel better, or that person's validation or approval, if I had that, I would then feel whole. So a lot of times when people ask the question like, how do I become more magnetic? How do I become more attractive? And then I say, well, you have to stop chasing. They're like, okay, well, I'm gonna stop chasing. And if I stop chasing, then I can become abundant. I'll be magnetic. And the thing about the question itself is that anytime we're trying to do something to get a different result, it's like we're trying to manipulate reality. We're trying to manipulate other people so that we can get what we want. So instead of doing it for an end result, instead of chasing, to question what you're chasing to start with. Why do you want what you want? Why do you want that other person to come around? What do you believe they're gonna do for you? Do you believe that then you'll be whole? Start questioning why you think you want what you want. And what happens is that you then start a process of self-inquiry of realizing that a lot of this chasing energy is built upon an energy of feeling not safe and of wanting reality to be different and of trying to get other people to meet your needs.
