Every way to become dangerously magnetic (ranked)

Aaron Doughty ranks traits that make someone magnetic, from core mindset like "I'm good either way" to practices like breathwork and meditation. He explains why deep eye contact and owning insecurities draw people in, while neediness and people-pleasing repel them.

Who is the most magnetic person you know? Bring them to your mind right now. What is their energy like? What makes them so magnetic? Are they attached to what other people think about them? Are they someone who is centered in who they are? Are they someone that's pleasing, trying to get from other people? Are they somebody that is living their purpose? Start thinking of these different traits of that person and realize that that energy of that magnetic energy is something that you have inside of yourself. And when you make certain shifts for the way that you relate to you and even you relate to certain concepts, you can begin to become a completely new magnetic version of you. So in this video, I'm going to break down the most powerful ideas that have shifted and allowed me to go from someone that had more dissipated energy, that was maybe trying to get approval and validation, into somebody that's more centered in my own reality, someone that's more present. Somebody that's good either way with what people think. And embodying some of these traits have completely transformed my life from the inside out. And that's why we're gonna talk about it in this video. Now, this one keeps popping off, so we're gonna do this one first. You probably heard me talk about this idea right here. It says, I'm good either way. Now, this is a tier list right here. We have that at the top of S tier all the way down to F tier. You've probably seen videos like this before. S tier is like the god tier. It's the tier with like a few that go at the top and that really make a difference. And then A tier, B tier, C tier doesn't work, right? Which some of these will be along this whole thing. So first off, I'm good either way. This is a concept that I share about many videos. I'm good either way literally means whether you like me or not, I'm good. I'm good either way whether this thing happens or not because I trust in something deeper inside of myself. What you'll find is that a lot of times when people are trying to control things in their life, it's a mechanism in order to feel safe. It's a mechanism to get other people to do a certain thing or to look a certain way, and therefore it creates a certain level of, uh, of like pressure, right? So I'm good either way. I'm going to put on a— I'm going to put it on like right in between A tier and B tier. Okay? It's my tier list. I can do that. Now, the reason it's not S tier is sometimes I'm good either way is even within the notion of good and bad. It's even in the notion of you're playing in polarity or duality. Like ultimately, when you're in this God tier, which is really where you're just really allowing, there really is no good either way because there is no good or bad. Things just are, things just exist. So it's like when you can really accept what the divine gives you, that's when you're in a level of real presence. That's when you're in a level of real deep trust. And understand when we talk about being attractive as well, these will change depending on what you're trying to attract. Like if you think of like narcissism, which we'll talk about in a minute, that might be very attractive to someone with an unhealed energy that's looking for resolve, that's looking to like stand in their own frame. Even though on the surface we look at them like, that's not magnetic at all, right? But we're gonna talk about that in a minute. Now let's go over to an idea right here that I think is very interesting that I don't talk that much about on my channel. Talk to me connected to a boss chick, okay? So first off, we have this idea here of anima versus animus. Carl Jung talks about how basically when we talk about and think about masculine and feminine energy, when we go through an awakening, men go into their animus and women go into their anima, or maybe it's the other way around. But basically we go into the other side of trying to heal the masculine or feminine side of ourselves. So what happens is this is why a lot of times women will go through a spiritual awakening and they'll become like boss chicks, right? They wanna like, they're going into their masculine and learning about empowerment. And when guys go through their awakening, sometimes they can become what people call soy boys. They grow out their hair, become vegan, and go through this like energy where they're becoming very soft and receptive. And a lot of times these two people can attract each other. So the anima and the animus is a part of awakening. It's something that if you stay in, it's almost like that's where, not that it's a trauma, but it is like a stage of development that I find very interesting. And it's a natural process. So something to accept because we could say, oh, it's not attractive, it's not. So it's a natural evolutionary process. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put this right here in B tier. Um, just because it's a natural process. But it's not necessarily like when you think of like a woman in her masculine or a guy in her feminine, it's not like, ooh, that's so freaking attractive. Um, I remember when I went through that process, I was basically— I became vegan, I became very like— not, not that I wasn't empathic, but you have like a certain focus. And I could do a whole other video on spiral dynamics But anyways, it's a path that a lot of people go through at a certain level. And what you eventually do is you take that with you and you like integrate more. Okay? I think I've spent enough time on that one. Let's go now to this one right here. Owning insecurities. This is one of the things that will make you so magnetic if you begin to do. Realize that if you have an insecurity and if you own it, that will make you more magnetic. You know, there's certain traits you might have. You might have a freckle, you might only be a certain height, or you might be too tall, too short, whatever label and judgment you have. And if you think that's a problem, it's like you're putting it into your energetic field that like you're not comfortable with you. And when you go out into public, people can feel subconsciously that you're not comfortable with you. But if you were to become more comfortable with you by owning your insecurities and realizing that maybe that's what makes you different, that will make you more magnetic. You know, I remember one time there was, I heard about this actress that was in Dirty Dancing, I believe. I don't think I've even seen the movie, but I know this about her. She had like a certain type of nose. And then what happened is she got plastic surgery to become more beautiful. And then when she became more beautiful and got that nose job, she then looked like every other actress, and she couldn't get work after that. What made her different actually made her magnetic, made her stand out. She would have owned it. She probably would have been in more movies. So let that be a sign that you just go own your insecurities. This is A tier. This is A tier. Is it S tier? It could be, but like, what do you If you— not that you didn't have the insecurities to begin with, but that's why it's A tier. Okay, so have you ever seen somebody with like extremely deep eye contact? Okay, so first off, you want to have good eye contact when you look at people and when you see people, but you don't want this to be a tactic. You ever met someone that just stares a little bit too long, kind of like, bro, what's up? I remember one time in third grade You ever zone out when you're a kid or even as an adult? I remember one time I was in third grade and I was just sitting there and I remember so clearly, I remember this, I was like staring at this like person on the other side. Happened to be a girl too, but I was like out of it. I wasn't like staring at her because I was like, oh, she's so hot. I was in third grade, I was just staring. And then I, I like, I woke up basically. I was like staring and then all of a sudden she goes You're going like this. And I was like— and then I felt super self-conscious of staring. But this is just saying, like, deep eye contact can be— even like when you're, um, you literally, like, in your relationship, if you were to have 5 or 10 minutes of deep eye contact a day, which will sound kind of, you know, it sounds kind of like, oh really, bro? If you do that, you will feel more connected to someone, 100%. And when you're able to make solid eye contact, it is like a trait, not a tactic, but it's a trait of somebody that is magnetic. It's a trait of somebody that really feels connected to themselves and comfortable with connecting to others. So I'm going to put deep eye contact as B-list as well, B-tier, because it kind of depends, depends on the intention behind it. Depends on whether you're doing it because you're super spiritual and you're in your anima or your animus and you're like trying to like really connect with people, or if you're actually deeply present inside of yourself. You know, it's funny, you think of like some of the enlightened people in our reality, someone like maybe Eckhart Tolle, who many people consider to be enlightened, and they say certain things like you have to have good posture to be enlightened, your energy's in your spine. That dude's like this, okay? And then it's like, ooh, you remember, you guys ever see Osho? Osho just like never blinked, just staring, never blinked. And then you see Eckhart Tolle. I was watching Eckhart Tolle video yesterday. He's constantly blinking and he's got not the best posture, but there's like a divine energy that flows through him and he's more very much self-realized and present. So some of these rules are general guideposts, but there's always exceptions to the rules. There's always exceptions. There's people that don't make solid eye contact that are still very magnetic. And there's people that, you know, maybe do. Here's the thing, owning an insecurity and accepting insecurity, even talking about an insecurity to some people is very magnetic because it shows vulnerability. Whereas someone that hides it, not so magnetic, okay? So let's go now to an idea right over here. You've probably seen me talk about this before. Putting someone on a pedestal. Anyone you put on a pedestal or anything you put on a pedestal, you create resistance around. Okay? And what you're saying is this thing is really important. So if we were to put this, let's put this as S tier. Okay? I'm just kidding. This is putting someone on a pedestal up here means that they're looking down at you. And what happens is when you're looking up at someone on a pedestal, you're maybe wanting something from them. Maybe you're wanting approval or validation, but regardless, you're creating resistance. So something important to realize about this is you put people off of a pedestal. I was thinking about this yesterday 'cause I was at the gym here in Sedona and I saw Andrew Huberman at the gym and I've seen him at the gym in in Venice as well. I've seen him a few times at the gym. Andrew Huberman, science guy, you've probably seen him. Very well known, very famous. And I think about this sometimes because I'm like, I'm at this gym in Sedona and it's so quiet. And at the other gym in Venice, it was super busy. So it's like, wasn't going to come up to them. And I was like, what is that? That guy looks like Andrew Huberman. Oh, it is. Like, what is he doing here? Right? There's no one else at the gym but like me, him, and one other person. Because it's a Friday night, like Friday afternoon. And I thought to myself, I was like, huh, if I were to go up to him and be excited to see him, that's like a certain type of energy. And I've also contrasted this before too, because I've met people in public that recognize me from my videos. And there are times it's super cool because it's like you're naturally able to connect, but you can feel when someone comes up and it's like, oh my gosh, blah, blah, blah, blah. And there's like almost a projection and an expectation there. You can feel it, you know? And anyone you put on a pedestal becomes very hard to connect to because you're projecting traits onto them that they don't have. And what I've found is anytime I meet famous people or people that I'm like excited to see, there's sometimes like an initial moment where I can feel that energy, but then I feel it, let it be there, and then I realize that this person is just human. Like the only reason, it's like, it's just a projection of energy that happens. And most of the people that I've met that are very famous, you start to see that they're human and that also kind of takes the halo effect off. So it's realizing it's just really a complete projection of energy. Like I had this one guy that I met that recognized me from my videos and we talked for, this is back in Venice, there was a meeting, this person was cool and we got to know each other. And then they found out what I did and that I had a big following. And then all of a sudden it got kind of weird because then there was almost an agenda. There was a projection of energy, there was an importance there. And that shift was just simply the awareness of a somebody, but it was just putting it on a pedestal. So putting someone on a pedestal literally is a D tier. Okay, why is it not F tier? Because some people like to be put on a pedestal. Some people do. I've been with people before that are also like people with online followings. I know I'm using that kind of like example, but there are people that really like to be on a pedestal. They like to be surrounded by yes people. And that's something that like some people like. So to some people that's like, this is the kind of person I surround myself with, is somebody that just constantly has this energy because then I feel special. Do you see the difference there? So that's why it's D tier and not F tier. Let's go to a couple of quick ones. Arrogance obviously is going to be more of a D tier thing. Once again, to some people, arrogance can be considered to some people kind of like a somewhat version of confidence. But nonetheless, it is like, it is like, you know, still rooted in trauma in a way. Let's talk about narcissism for a minute. Now we have to specify here because if we're talking about, okay, you're going to be, this is going to be a controversial take because this is going S tier. I'm just kidding. This right here, here's the caveat. What we call narcissism. Now there is narcissism disorder, NPD, narcissist personality disorder. That is one way of looking at it. Another way of looking at it is healthy narcissism is what we call confidence. There's toxic narcissism and healthy narcissism. Healthy narcissism is confidence, is having a belief in the self. And when I learned this from my shadow work coach who has a double PhD in, like, Carl Jungian psychology emphasis, but a double PhD, he was explaining— I was like, narcissists are bad. Like, no, no, everyone has narcissistic traits. Everyone has what we call healthy narcissism, is called confidence. But that of toxic narcissism is narcissism personality disorder, or different variations of it. It's where you're manipulating other people to get your needs met. It's a toxic side of it, or there's a wound there. I have a theory that I believe that people normally with narcissistic personality, like, uh, basically some form of narcissistic, like hardcore toxic narcissism, or just not toxic narcissism in general, had some form of trauma in childhood around the age of 2 to a couple years after that, due to when they were in the toddler phase of development. Because at a certain point, we were all in the narcissist phase of development. When is that? When you're 2 years old and you're like, no, Mine. That's when you're born, you're at one with mom. You don't know the difference between where you begin, where they end. Then when you become like 2, guess what happens? Mine, me, mine, no. Those are the words you learn. So if there's a trauma in that period, what can happen is I think that could be like a stage of development that people subconsciously are kind of stuck in. And in order to feel safe, They need to overtly control reality and have this toxic narcissist energy. So let me say that first off, we gotta— we're gonna, we're gonna say this is the toxic narcissism because that's the way we understand it, but I'm giving it that caveat just to kind of help you reframe your viewpoint of confidence. Not that it's toxic, but you get the idea. Now we're going to put this once again on— if we're talking about toxic narcissism, it's like an F tier, okay? But if we're talking about that, just 'cause it has a little bit of that caveat, we'll just goo it up just a little bit, okay? Now here's the crazy thing. You wanna talk about what's magnetic? If you had an empath here, narcissism and empaths tend to attract each other. They just think they're so hot. Subconsciously, they're looking to like, they're looking to learn something from each other. Whereas empaths on one side feel people's energies and are super sensitive. You've got narcissists who don't feel people's energies, but their means to get their needs met are, I must control overtly to get my needs met to feel safe. And empaths are, I must give and tune to other people to feel safe. The strong frame of false sense of reality narcissist has is what the empath is attracted to. So when you talk about this, they'd be like S-tier for each other until they resolve that childhood energy, which means saying no to the narcissist, which means feeling safe and doing something that I call the frame technique. And I have a video on that, and I'll maybe link it below, but shows you how to feel safe in your own body, safe in your own frame of reality. So, um, with that, empaths— to have an empathic ability to feel other people's emotions is actually very healthy. Now, once again, this is more of an understood idea that like there's a toxic side of it for sure. You're highly sensitive and you can't like you just absorb everyone's energy, that'd be more of like down here. But because an empath is like able to feel other people's emotions and energies, if it's done in a healthy way, then that is something that is like an A or B tier. Okay. And, and empathy in general is like S tier. Okay. But I'm just— I'm taking the balance of how we understand these in reality. And a lot of times empaths fall into a shadow as well because like, I'm so empathic, I'm so highly evolved and I feel everyone's energy and just I feel so much. And that can sometimes be spiritual ego, okay? Not always, but sometimes it is. And then you feel significant and special because, and also it keeps you in victim mode because you keep attracting narcissists. Do you see? So that's why there's a big caveat here. I'm gonna put this in like the top levels of beep tier. Not because at all these keep falling and I need something to stick it there. Definitely not it at all. But partially I think that's honestly where it should go. Okay? Now also something that we're gonna be doing soon is a 3-week cohort to completely transform our energy from the inside out to make love and abundance normal to our nervous system. This is a 3-week cohort that I'm doing. If you do wanna join, it's starting on April 14th, go ahead and click the link below, grab your spot. I'm looking for people that are serious to transform from the inside out. It's gonna come with live hot seat coaching, live meditations, and a couple other cool things that we're gonna do as a group to transform our lives. So I'm gonna go ahead and link that below in case you're interested in joining that. But we're gonna be really transforming a lot of this in different areas of our life. So let's go now to people pleasing. Now, the way that I teach a lot of times as well is that we all have certain patterns that are under the surface that keep us from being our most authentic self. People pleasing is a pattern that is there that stifles you from being your true self. Think of a magnetic person. They're clear with who they are. They express how they feel. People pleasers are pleasing other people and pleasing people to then get. So it's a manipulative tactic. If I please you, you will approve of me. You you will like me. So one of the things to understand is that this is manipulative. Instead of people pleasing, if you were to— because people pleasing normally means abandoning yourself and not being authentic to please others. So people want to be pleased, but they don't want a people pleaser. Does this make sense? Like, women probably at a certain level do. They don't want to be— they don't want a people pleaser, but they like to be satisfied. But a people pleaser, that like a man is a people pleaser or whatever gender roles you wanna give a certain type of relationship, people pleasing is a manipulative tactic and it's a pattern. And underneath the pattern is when you learn to lean into tension, maybe I'll do a tier list on different patterns and how to break each pattern and we'll talk about them in some way. I'll have to find a way to do this, but let me know if you have any ideas below. But people pleasing is a pattern that is subconscious. And one of the most powerful questions you can ask yourself By the way, I'm gonna put this as D tier. We do need to grab this one and this one. Who did you have to be as a kid to receive mom or dad's love? One of the most powerful questions you can ask yourself. 'Cause if you had to please, that might be the role that you're still in. It's not really who you are. For me, I had to lean more into tension. I had to lean more into expressing my true self. And as I did that, that began to shift things in my life in a very powerful way. It was that, which is why we'll talk now for a sec about vulnerability. I'm going to put vulnerability as the first S tier. And you might be asking why. Now, once again, not vulnerability in order to get other people to open up, but vulnerability means this is the real me. Someone else that goes first to be vulnerable, maybe it wants to be A tier, keeps going down. Vulnerability is like you putting yourself out there. This is also the cure to becoming magnetic. When you begin to express the real you, like if you were to think about what is gonna make you the most magnetic you, it's this right here, expression. Because all the patterns that keep you from expressing the real you are what's diffusing your light and your energy. So when you think of, for example, you think of people pleasing or people trying to fix others, there's an energy there of a pattern under the surface and they're not expressing what they really think or feel. They're taking on other people's burdens. But when you express how you feel, who you are, and you live according to your own values, which wasn't one of them, but if I could put another S tier up here, it'd be living according to your own values. That it's so powerful when you choose your values and you live by them. And I gave up approval and validation, which would be like D and F tier. 4, vulnerability and authenticity completely shifted my life. Something that, that's what we're gonna be doing in that 3-week cohort, by the way, is shifting our identity from the inside out with our values. And a big part of this too is breathwork for releasing stored energy in the body. People who are magnetic aren't holding on to energy on the inside if it's authentic. If it's a tactic to be magnetic, then maybe they are because that, negative energy underneath the surface is what's fueling them to be that way. So a couple other quick ones. Neediness. Let's look at neediness. Neediness is definitely gonna be F tier. Neediness is when you need something from someone else. Neediness is when you desire and you're coming from a place of wanting in a way someone else to give you what you want. But people can feel that energy under the surface. Which is why people pleasing is also down here because people pleasing is a form of neediness. It's needing someone else to approve or validate you and you pleasing them allows them to feel safe. You see the difference there? Let's talk about a boss chick for a second. To a soy boy, a boss chick will be fricking S tier, right? Now, boss chick, this doesn't mean be in shame if you are in your boss chick era and you're like, you have a business and stuff like that, not at all. But just in general, a boss chick is very often, maybe this is the caveat because what we normally see as a boss chick of someone who's overworking and really in that energy is it's someone that might not actually trust the masculine. It's someone that needs to activate their masculine out of a safety mechanism. Okay? If that's the sharpness around the masculine energy and that's the way to feel safe is I gotta work, work, work. I am what I do. So that energy in of itself is more of, I'd say, a C-tier thing. If you can be a boss chick but be feminine and express your true self and allow yourself to do it in your own way, I think that could be much higher on the list. But just in general, I am personally gonna put this here. I would say that this is like, I don't think it's completely, you know, there's some, it's part of like the anima, the animus as well. So I kind of put it into that category also. All right. So negging is an F-tier thing. Negging is a tactic that sometimes guys use when they date to say like, you're not very attractive. And then girls go in their trauma and they go, oh my God, this guy is so attractive because he negged me. You know, it's basically you tear other people down in order to feel confident about yourself. Back in the '90s and 2000s, it was like a well-known tactic where like dudes would say that, say stuff like that to women and they'd be like affected, you know? But it's rooted in toxic energy. Having a high— having high standards for yourself, I'm going to put that as a between. I'm going to put this on a B tier. Okay. The reason being is to have really high standards many times can be a subconscious way of actually avoiding intimacy. Not always, but having really high standards sometimes is also rooted in superficial traits. Most often I'm kind of using the general, the general understanding of like how people relate to these ideas, right? And having really high standards is like, they're not good enough. Like, do you see women that are like, this guy needs to make at least $200,000 a year for me to be attracted? Well, the percentage of men that are there, it's very low. And not to say that that can't happen. And women, people always get like, when you see those videos, people always get triggered by it. 'Cause they want, we want it all, right? But the key is not to base it on the standards that you think. I would say the standards that you have, have them be values and have them be rooted in energy. Have them be rooted in this family values. Have high family values, have high spiritual values. But most of the time when we hear this, it's superficial values, okay? Being versus doing. I'm going to put that A tier. Being versus doing. When you think your worth is connected to what you do, creates a lot of pressure, creates a lot of like trying to get somewhere else, right? And the doing is like, what if you could just be worthy for who you are? Like what does a baby have to do to be worthy? Nothing, right? But at a certain point in our past, we believed we had to do. So to do, that creates like a C or D energy. But being is a recognition that you are worthy for being you. I actually have a whole other video. I'm maybe making another video on it because I believe that a big part of this too is that like you are both worthy and not worthy at the same time. Worthiness is a concept. You just exist like a baby exists, doesn't have any concept of itself. We project that onto the baby. And once you could be okay with not worthy or worthy, it's like then you're kind of free. That's a whole nother video. If you want me to make it, go and comment below. I'm going to put living your purpose and your mission as an S-tier. Now, this doesn't mean some overarching mission though, that like you have to be making YouTube videos, doing all this stuff. For some people, I think some people's mission might be to have a family or to be a certain way in the world. But in general, if you're living your mission or you have a purpose, it's just very attractive, especially for men to be in their purpose. It's very, it's almost needed for the woman to feel safe. So I'm gonna put that as an S tier. I think that is an S tier. Heart coherence, I'm gonna put that as a C tier. I'm just kidding. I'm gonna put this as an A tier. Heart coherence, being more inside of your heart. The reason it's A tier, I think it should be S tier for like who you want to attract. But there are some people that like, think it's like heart coherence is like really a very powerful key in reality just in general. But what happens is heart coherence sometimes can put you not in just a high vibration, but not everybody. I know it's hard to say this in a way that doesn't sound like spiritual egoic or like spiritual bypassing, but sometimes to connect to certain types of people, if we're talking about dangerous magnetic when it comes to numbers, is to be that of like really in your heart. As long as it's not agenda to be in your heart, to be like, oh, like that kind of spiritual energy, it can be magnetic. But sometimes, sometimes that energy is magnetic to the right type of person. So honestly, it could be an es tier. It's just that when you have a certain energy, sometimes you will repel people because that brings up stuff in other people. Like your light might bring up in other people a certain type of energy that then becomes kind of uncomfortable for them. It sounds spiritually egoic to say like that kind of energy, but I have seen that happen where when you shine your light so bright, sometimes it triggers other people's like stuff to come up. Does that make sense? And I think we're moving into a time of heart coherence on the planet. But yeah, A tier is still high, okay? Okay, spiritual bypassing. I'm gonna put that F tier. Spiritual ego, but actually that's probably a D tier. Spiritual ego is something some people buy into and they think it's magnetic. It's not. But nonetheless, it's like spiritual ego is like kind of like what I was just talking about. If it's the perspective of like, I'm so high vibration, they're so low vibration, versus recognizing things come up and sometimes there's no judgment as to who's further along than the others, right? Put hustle mentality as C tier, kind of like with boss chick. Maybe I'll do a vibrational level energy as well. Vibrational level, because hustle, you think, hustle's like a certain level of calibration that has to do with like power and like willpower and stuff like that. But there's limitations because it's still based on the ego. I'm gonna put flow up here. 'Cause when you're in a flow state, you're very magnetic. You're not even creating time. When you're in a flow state, there's something, there's like God's flowing through you. And when we take this even further as well, allowing God to flow through you, something like meditation, and I'll put meditation here because that also is allowing God to flow through you. And then also loving the self as a strategy versus an agenda. Very different, very different. Loving yourself and accepting yourself, I'd say, is like, is, is like the key. Accepting the self. Boundaries, also S tier. When you're able to set boundaries and have even beyond that internal boundaries, that is S tier. Internal boundaries means you feel safe inside of your own body, and you might not even need to set external boundaries because of the safety inside of your body. So With that being said, what did you agree with on the list? Which would you disagree with? Do you wanna see other videos like this? Let me know below.
