How to Raise Your Consciousness and Increase Your Vibration (Part 2)

In this instructional video Aaron Doughty expands on his earlier "How to Raise Your Vibration" talk by diving deeper into Dr. David Hawkins’ vibrational/emotion scale and showing how each emotional level creates self‑perpetuating thought loops that keep consciousness stuck. He explains how low‑frequency emotions such as shame, guilt and anger are tied to attachment to past reference experiences and identity, and how moving up the scale—through neutrality, willingness, love, peace, joy and ultimately enlightenment—requires conscious awareness of these loops. Doughty offers practical tools: observing thoughts, recognizing and releasing the stories we tell ourselves, re‑framing situations as neutral, and cultivating unconditional love by recognizing our interconnectedness with others. He emphasizes that awareness, not labeling, lets us choose who we prefer to be, allowing us to let go of limiting identities and raise our vibrational set‑point. The video concludes with encouragement to apply these practices to live purposefully and help others do the same.

Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help you expand your awareness. Now that's actually exactly what we're going to be talking about in today's video is expanding our perceptual awareness. Now, uh, recently I did a video, um, by recent I mean more like maybe a month or two ago, I did a video called how to raise your vibration, and that video got a lot of good interaction from you guys, and I've heard it helped a lot of people. So what I want to do is take it to the next level. I want us to understand a little bit deeper into some of these ideas, and really, I guess you could call this like part 2 to it, but I believe that this video has the potential to really expand how you think about yourself and giving you some practical tools that you can use to evolve through different plateaus of emotion. Now what I want to do right now is bring out that same chart that I used in that other video, and it involves, just to give it a little bit of a summary, the idea of different emotions having a different vibrational level, we could say. And what he did, Dr. David Hawkins, was use a type of muscle technique called kinesiology to test to see which emotions had higher vibrations than others. And in this came this idea of this chart that I'm going to share with you right now. Now what you'll notice and kind of what I share in the How to Raise Your Vibration video is that each individual emotion, as you go up the scale, you evolve your vibration and you start to feel better and better. So if I remember correctly, the bottom ones involve things such as shame, such as guilt, guilt, anger. Then you'll get up to like more neutrality, willingness, love. Then you'll get up to like peace, joy, and like enlightenment, which is like at the very top, 700 or above, I believe. But it's on a scale of 1 to 1,000. And what I'm going to do is kind of share some awareness that we can have about each of those levels and understanding how those continue to perpetuate themselves, like how each level keeps us in thought loops. over and over again and how we can evolve ourselves in that way to then evolve our consciousness. Now let's first off start by looking at this chart. You'll notice a couple of things. Now let's go to the bottom and you'll see emotions such as shame. You'll see like guilt, um, and forget what some of the other bottoms ones were, but let's look at those examples. And what I want to do is show you that a lot of times when we're in the idea of shame or guilt, It comes from an attachment to a certain reference experience that we had. Now that reference experience a lot of times ends up going on autopilot. So let's look at that. Somebody feels guilt for doing something. Maybe they did something they shouldn't have done to somebody else and, uh, they regret it at some level and because of that they feel guilt. Well, under that guilt emotion, what they'll find is that it's self-perpetual because as they identify with whatever experience that they had and that experience, that reference experience is a lot of times tagged to our identity. If it's powerful enough, we then continue to perpetuate thoughts that are incongruent with that one little reference experience. Then what happens is it kind of goes on autopilot, so it continues to perpetuate itself over and over again and we get caught up in the same thought loops over and over again. and a lot of it has to do with simply the way that we're identifying ourselves based upon the fact that we're constantly tagging onto that memory of whatever actually happened. Now I want to point out something else. Now, if you go from shame to maybe anger, why would that be moving up the scale? Like, is anger really a better emotion than the idea of shame? Well, understand that each emotion has its own self-perpetual way of thinking. So shame, for example, doesn't really have the, uh, I guess you could say understanding of self-worthiness because if you don't believe that you're worthy, you might feel shame or you might feel guilt. Um, and because of that, once you get to the idea of anger, that's when you start to take your power back and say maybe something shouldn't have been a certain way, but you're claiming your worthiness back because you think something should have gone differently. You think someone should have treated you differently, so maybe you feel anger. Now, guilt to anger or whatever the lower emotions are, the reason that feels better and the reason that that, um, is an elevated state of consciousness is because then you're coming at it from the point of view of you are at least worthy, even though maybe you don't like the situation that you're in. Having that level of awareness is a higher step because you're at least taking action to claim it back, or you're at least claiming it because you're saying something should be different than the way that it already is. So the reason I'm saying this is because I want you to understand that within each individual emotion, there's a certain level of consciousness. It's a certain self-perpetual loop of identity, of how we identify ourselves to be. Now understand that even among these, as you begin to move up, there's certain little realizations that we can have that can kind of power mode us to move up a little bit quicker. Now we'll notice that when you're in shame and you're not aware of why you feel the way you do, you'll stay in that self-perpetual recycled way of thinking over and over again. But if you decide that you're going to at least claim some of your power back, you might then go to anger and then you evolve yourself out of it because maybe something makes you reflect back to you that you deserve more than you previously did, or whatever the reasoning could have been. Then you move to anger, and then maybe you play out in there for a while, and then eventually you go to the next step, which might be neutrality, which could be the idea of forgiveness, being able to look at a situation and instead of label it as a negative situation, we could look at it and realize that it's just a neutral situation, which it's a neutral situation that we don't really have to identify with. Now you'll notice that neutrality is one of the most powerful ways we can evolve ourselves out of the bottom layer of consciousness, the bottom layer of emotions. And the way that we do this is by having this realization that I'm going to share with you right now. It's the awareness that every situation that happens in our life is fundamentally neutral. We give the meanings as to what things mean. And the way that we can look at this is that when certain things happen, Rather than going onto the autopilot mind and thinking that that happens and then that means this, we can then begin to bring awareness into the situation. And as we begin to bring in this awareness, we begin to see that there's much more flexibility with how we identify ourselves to be, with how we identify the situation. And as we begin to do that, we begin to transcend a lot of the bottom emotions because the bottom emotions come from attachment. They come from attachment to those reference experiences, attachment to a story, and attachment to certain habits that continue to perpetuate themselves over and over again. Now, one of the other ways that we can move ourselves up the scale is by realizing that we can tell ourselves a new story, but first we must let go of the story that we're telling ourselves. Now, the easiest way to do this is to Simply become aware of whatever that story is. We're constantly telling ourselves a story, a story about why we deserve what we deserve or what we got, why we don't deserve what we want, whatever it might be. There's a whole bunch of stories that exist in ourselves that we can learn to become more aware of because the moment we become aware of it is the moment we take our power back because then we realize if we continue to perpetuate it, It's because we are choosing to, not because we are a victim of the auto-mind and the auto-suggestion that comes from those thought loops. So with that being said, the realization we can have is really understanding that every situation that happens in our life is neutral. If it is a rainy day, for example, that has no meaning other than the meaning that I give it. Some people love rainy days. I love rainy days. I live in Vegas. Hardly ever rains here, and I love it when it does. Now, some people hate the rain and they think it's a bad day and they associate that label to it, and because of that, they don't enjoy the experience of it. Now, that's just coming from understanding that everything is fundamentally neutral, that anything that we experience is because we've labeled the moment to be a certain way, or maybe it's on the habitual way of thinking. It's on the autopilot of those self-perpetual thought loops. But as we begin to bring awareness into it, awareness into how we feel, awareness into our emotions, that's when we begin to take our power back and then allow ourselves to exist within a higher frame of consciousness. Now let's take it to the next step. Now we have neutrality. We realize that everything is fundamentally neutral. We realize that we can label situations as being beneficial even if it's a negative situation, we can look at it and tell ourselves that, hey, maybe I can learn from this. Maybe even though it appears to be negative, maybe there's some like seed of equal amount of good, as Napoleon Hill would say from the book Think and Grow Rich. Now what we could do is look at it from that point of view and realize that we can start to label things the way that we prefer, and that comes from having awareness. The bottom level, transcending it, comes from having awareness. This means that we could do little things every day such as observe our thoughts, observe what we're thinking, observe how we're feeling. As we observe, we move ourselves from the reactive mind to the observer mind, which is much more powerful because we can then choose who we prefer to be rather than be a victim of the self-perpetual thought loops. Now let's take it to the next level. How do we evolve ourselves? Uh, past neutrality into the consciousness of unconditional love. Well, let's look at the realizations that exist in there. The realization might be the fact that we are all connected, that whatever we put out is what we get back, because at a deeper level there's a connection between all of us and whatever we're putting out to somebody else we're doing to another version of ourselves. Now I know this is a very deep metaphysical type idea, but there's a lot of power in it because when you start to view other people as being in a collaboration with you, other people as being an extension to you, you then begin to understand that you're not that separate person that you thought that you were. Anytime we feel anxiety, a lot of times it comes from emphasizing certain labels, emphasize certain differentness, emphasizing those. And because of that, we create more distance to where we don't feel that natural connection. Unconditional love, I believe, is one of our natural states of being. The only reason we don't feel it is because maybe we identify as we grow up with certain things that don't really resonate with the core of who we are. So maybe we develop certain beliefs growing up about what we deserve, about who we are as a person, and then those beliefs tend to then perpetuate themselves as I showed you, like the, the lower levels of consciousness. But what we can learn to do is become aware of it, and as we become aware of it, we begin to move ourselves up into a higher state of consciousness. We understand that because our natural state of awareness or our natural state of consciousness is unconditional love, anything else was a learned patterned behavior. It was something that we picked up from our parents, we picked up from classmates, experiences that we didn't prefer, but that's not actually who we are. We can exist in this realm of consciousness. I believe that more people over the course of like the next you know, 100 years are going to come to understand this connection between us, our planet, the animals, the people that are around us. And as we become more aware of this connection, we then begin to exist in that realm of consciousness because of that level of awareness, that realization, you could say. Now, each of these different little realms of consciousness can be transcended with the use of awareness. When we become aware, not necessarily like we have to label ourselves and say, I'm feeling shameful right now, because then we might become attached to that identity or attached to the emotion, but just to become aware of our thoughts, become aware of what we're thinking, become aware of anything that seems repetitive. And as we bring awareness into it, we can then choose who we prefer to be. Now, I say this because I believe that one of the most empowering realizations we can have is just who we really are. And sometimes the way that we find out who we are is by letting go of who we are not. As we move up the scale, it's not so much about claiming that we're love or joy or enlightened. It's more about just letting go of all this external emotions that we've identified with. And as we become aware of them, we can then choose what we prefer to believe. We can choose to then understand the realizations within each plateau, the willingness, the forgiveness, then the love and the connection. And as we begin to move ourselves up, we find that we then evolve our level of consciousness. The way that I see the world now is totally different than the way that I used to see the world, and that's because I don't see people as different. I don't see— like, maybe if they're different, they're in a uniquely different way, but not in a way that they are separate from who I am. I see people as an extension. I see things as a reflection. And because of that, I have elevated my natural set point from feeling anxiety, stress, not good about myself, to feeling good a majority of the time. Now, of course, I still go through stress. Of course, I still go through ups and downs, but this level of consciousness that I've been focused on and really the realizations that I've had from it have really allowed me to feel and to apply myself in a new way to where I'm living my purpose and helping other people do the same. That's all I want to do with you is show you that the power exists inside of you. All you have to do is become aware of what you're feeling, become aware of those realizations, and watch your life change for the better. So that's it for today. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Feel free to like this video if you liked it, share it if you found it of value, and I'll see you guys on the next vid. Alright, peace, much love, namaste.
