Aaron Doughty explains why we sabotage our own goals: we attract what matches our self-image, not what we want. When your beliefs don't align with your goal, sabotage surfaces. He recommends asking yourself what you'd have to believe for the sabotage to keep happening, then acting as if the new version of you already exists.

Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron Doughty and I help people expand their consciousness. Now on this video, I'll be sharing with you how to stop self-sabotaging yourself with the law of attraction, or just in general. Now with self-sabotaging, let's first off define what that might be. Now, as I say in almost all all of my videos, we don't attract necessarily that which we want, but we always attract a reflection of who we are being. Now, who we are being is a combination of the beliefs that we have about who we are, the self-image that we have, and also the actions and the choices that we make. Now, with this process, what we will find if we continue to self-sabotage ourselves, meaning that we maybe, uh, are intending to create a good relationship in our life and what we do is we think we've attracted the right person, but then somehow we mess it up. What happens is, is that messing it up many times is a limiting belief or a self-image blockage that is holding us back from actually experiencing that. So for example, it could be that something just goes wrong or we just simply— the other person doesn't feel attracted anymore. And of course it could be other variables. Or our intention is to create a certain amount of income in our life, but if we haven't created the self-image to go along with that or the beliefs that are necessary to go along with that, what we will find happens is those blockages come up and we sabotage ourselves. Now, what is sabotaging you isn't necessarily the grander part of who you are. It's the old self-image that's coming back into the present moment to smack you in the face and tell you that this is who you are. Don't you remember? This is the past conditioning. This is the autopilot mind. And as you simply become aware that that is the old self-image already, that's a powerful step because what you can then prefer to do is to start to be who you prefer to be and to act as if that is already who you are, who you prefer to be. Now the key to this is simply asking the question, what would I have to believe is true to have this kind of experience keep coming up or to keep sabotaging myself in this way? is no longer you. So with that being said, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Feel free to like this video if you liked it, subscribe if you haven't already, and as always, I'll see you guys on the next video. Peace, much love, namaste. All right, bye.
