How to vibrate so high it scares people

Aaron Doughty teaches how raising your vibration through meditation, breathwork, and shadow work can shift how others perceive you, sometimes pushing people away. He uses the SHIFT framework to address patterns like people-pleasing and perfectionism, arguing that high vibration comes from letting go rather than becoming something new.

What if you could vibe so high it actually scared people? What if the way in which you show up could transform so much you actually become unrecognizable? In this video, I'm going to show you that if you've been feeling stuck, if you've been falling back into old patterns, if you've been on this path for a while but find that you want it to actually stick, that this video may be the thing that changes everything. The first thing to understand about this is that this process may be more about letting go and unbecoming than it is about actually becoming. What enlightened people say one of the scary truths about reality is, is that nothing has any built-in meaning other than the meaning we give it. This is both the most empowering idea we could ever learn and a scary idea as well. Because nothing has any meaning other than the meaning we give it. And that includes us. And one of the challenges is the accumulated meaning, meaning, and the accumulated emotions inside of our body are what keeps the resistance from us being the love, the joy, and the peace that we naturally are. So when we begin to release this energy, it's like a whole new world, and everything begins to change as a reflection of that energy. Now, the reason it's scary to other people Is because when you change, it will change the way they relate to you. Have you ever had it happen where you did some form of inner work or you release some energy on the inside of your body and very quickly a certain relationship began to change? Very quickly you began to be a new version of yourself. And as a response, it changed the way in which people relate to you. I remember back in 2012 when I went through my initial awakening, I went on a scale of probably 1 to 10, 10 feeling incredibly high vibe to 1 feeling not much at all. I went on a scale of 1 to 10 at about a 3 as my base point. To learning meditation, observing my thoughts, and I started to create more space and presence just through observing and not trying to control my thoughts, it radically transformed my life. Before, people were asking, "Aaron, what's wrong with you?" It's like I had so much energy. I think partially because of my childhood, I had so much energy that I wasn't allowed to express that now as an adult, I was like very outgoing. Yeah. But honestly, I was a little bit ungrounded. People would say, "What's wrong with you? What's wrong with you?" And then eventually I took Adderall and had ADHD, or they labeled me as that. And it was like there's— I felt like there's something wrong with me, felt trapped. Same childhood dynamics, working a job I hated. That was my reality. Then I learned meditation, observe my thoughts. There was spaciousness that was created inside of me. Within weeks, quit drinking, quit smoking, quit taking Adderall, and started to be present. It's like I was no longer trying to control the way things happen in life. I was more calm and present inside of myself. There was a different level of energy that I held. And as a result, people were asking me once again, Aaron Doughty? What's wrong? What's wrong with you? You're not this way now. And I remember simply asking myself, yeah, what is wrong? There's nothing wrong with me. I was ungrounded. Now I ground myself in grass and I meditate. And now I feel way more present with myself, way more connected to something greater than me. So space, presence, It's what's already on the inside. You know, anytime I'm coaching someone, what's very interesting is I can see that when they come in with questions, they're like looking around like, "What about this? And what about that? But this thing comes up and I feel this way." Bring it back to the present moment. Where did you go? What is that? What is that part of you that's trying to figure it all out? Even as you watch this video right now, Whatever thoughts you have, worries you have, bring it back to this present moment. Bring it back to the stillness underneath. In the stillness, in the presence, is where all the answers are. So why so often you won't be able to figure out something, you go for a walk, the answer's there. You let go of resistance. When we are present and we are feeling what comes up, if we could simply let it be there, what would happen is the emotion would begin to clear and our vibration would begin to rise so high, but it's actually who we really are. But the problem is we start to feel it and as a control mechanism, we feel unprocessed emotion come up or a part of us that wants to control and figure it out, we activate it and guess what happens? We are back into the mind, back into the control. So you see, this is a process of really just about being present. And in this simple process I'm going to show you, you can use this to free yourself of the past patterns. Thank you. I remember back in 2 years ago, I went through a transformation where I got breathwork certified, certain style of breathwork that was very powerful. And I wanted to get certified in it so I could do it at my live events. And I remember going to it and there was a certain level of emotion on the inside of myself that I hadn't allowed myself to access. It was the emotion of sadness. And I remember in ceremony, in breathwork ceremony, there was someone in front of me that was releasing a certain type of trauma. And I was trying to like, funnily enough, out of the present moment, trying to cry so that I could release the emotion so that then I could get the result I wanted, which was emotional freedom. But instead, as I was there, I would beat myself up and be like, "You can't, see, tears aren't coming out. You're not crying." At a certain point, I felt myself starting to cry, but there were no tears. And then I was like, "Oh, see, there's something wrong with me. Can't even cry." I actually wanted to. The woman in front of me releases a certain type of trauma that I could feel was connected to my mom. And all of a sudden, a release happened. Started bawling my eyes out. Wow. Pool of tears going into my ears. And I remember going like this, there's this water coming out. It was like so much. And for weeks afterwards, I felt so different. I felt so much more emotionally available. I felt so much more present. And as a result, there was a relationship in my life that completely fell out of alignment. Mm-hmm. It's like we were with each other because there were certain unprocessed, unhealed parts of ourselves. The moment this shifted inside of me, something shifted that I became aware of that I immediately had to, due to certain reasons, like leave the relationship. And as I did, it's like my whole entire life began to transform after that. And it was like, but relationships in my life, even friendships started to change in a positive way. Even though there were some relationships that just didn't work out. But realize that when you release stuck emotion, people may leave. That may scare people. That may even scare you. Like, "I don't wanna lose all the people around me." Understand that this isn't a process you have to manage. This is something that actually you going deeper in yourself, there's no guarantee that they leave. They may leave for a while and then come back as you process and heal more with inside of yourself, or that's just the journey they're on. Recently in my own life, I had two people last year— Last two years that I fell out with that were extremely close to me. And there were certain things that happened where I felt like I'd probably never speak to this person again. And then for years we did our own thing. And only more recently have I got to a place of full forgiveness of myself, full forgiveness of them, and a letting go. And as of the last couple of months, I've hung out with both these people and it was awesome. It was like, it's not like we're going to— we may not be exactly like it used to, but I was very grateful to see that like the level of which I've healed inside of myself is also where I don't need to be like, I will never speak to that person again. It's like there was a healing. I feel more free because I know that there's, of course, probably people in my life that don't care for me, but I feel like I have been able to really be honest with myself and be vulnerable and heal in a deep way. So realize that this process is not about you becoming anything. It's actually about you becoming less. The more that I get into a flow state, it's like there's less me. It feels so good because it's like energy is flowing through. Like I think of the live events that I ran. I just ran a live event recently, 3-day live event, one of the most powerful live events, literally the most powerful live event I ever ran. And it was, on the second day, there was just a complete surrender. And honestly, it was like I realized, I shared this with my audience, I felt like I had over the last 2 years not really shared as much of the esoteric stuff because I would judge it. I judged myself, I judged a certain type of like ungrounded, like almost like person that might follow me, like the most extreme version of that. And I was like, oh, I, I need— I want to be more grounded. So I, I almost rejected a part of myself, and there was all this built-up energy that was underneath the surface. And at this live event, I like vulnerably shared all of this, and I could tell that it resonated so deeply with people because it's like expression, like the ability to like share the weird stuff might be why we're here. I realized I came here like my gift, or— not even gift, it's the thing that I love doing is breaking down esoteric concepts and making them practical and relatable. But I stopped doing that like a year or two ago and just talked about certain things. As I shared that on stage, as I focused on having fun, it was like such a different energy. There's more flow there. The difference was in the connection. Mm-hmm. It was focusing on connection. So if you want to completely transform your vibration from the inside out, if you focus more on connecting with people, connecting with yourself, and connecting with your purpose, your life will transform. Like, I remember that 9-to-5 job I used to have when I would go to it with the intention of,— you know, it's commission. So every day I could see how much I sold based on my intention. When I went into work with the intention on making $4,000 that day of sales so that I made $400 of commission, wouldn't have the best days. Attachment. Performance. Getting the result. When I went into work with the intention of adding value and connecting with people, and having fun, completely different result. Ironically, those were the best results that came from having fun. People gravitate to more life. So when you have more of the divine through— flowing through you, when you're having more fun with the process, that magnetizes people to you. When you are performing or in some type of pattern from the past, That's where things get resistant. And all of us have core patterns that are under the surface that we're looking to transform and heal. So if you're wondering how to use this process, there's different steps here, okay? It's an acronym I call SHIFT, S-H-I-F-T. The first step is seeing the pattern. Realize you might have patterns, but you're not your patterns. You might have patterns of overgiving, people pleasing, self-reliance, having to do it all yourself, feeling invisible or being invisible, perfection, perfectionism, or controller, perfectionist, or controller, need to control things. These are the core common patterns that I see in people and especially my audience. And when you become aware of this, What you can begin to do is to see that this is a mechanism, a part of you that is trying to manage feeling an emotion underneath the surface. So if you are a people pleaser, you might not feel comfortable with tension. So to mitigate the tension, you please people. If you overgive, you might not think that you're worthy for who you are. So you might give to then fix them so that you can feel good. If you're self-reliant or you work really, really hard as super independent, you might find that that allows you to avoid feeling something is wrong with you. It's a way to feel safe. But then the shadow of that is you're not open up to vulnerability and you have to do it all yourself. And you think work is how you get to the next level, which you overwork yourself. You see how these patterns are all— Mm-hmm. What's really keeping the energy intact in resistance. So seeing the pattern is the first step. The second step is healing the root. Heal the root. The root pattern is where you're not just healing, it's like you— the cool thing is that you can feel what comes up and get to what I call the mother-father-child triad. This is where things really begin to transform. Is when you get to that mother-father-child dynamic. It's how we relate to life, it's how we relate to authority, and it's how we relate to men and women, all within that, which is why it's a major part of my teaching. And healing the root is about breathwork is here where you feel, heal, and release the emotions stored underneath the surface. And when you release it, so much of your life transforms. If you want me to make more videos on healing the root and like showing this process, like this video and comment below and let me know. And I'll do more kind of following up, like how to raise your vibration. And if you like the more esoteric content, can you like this video and let me know? Because this is something that I feel so called to go back into. I can't believe, I literally was ashamed of saying the words like raise vibration as of like months ago. Whereas I looked, you know how they say like whatever you're seeking, It's already within you. It's like my message for— I've been trying to find, like, get more clear on my core message of what I'm sharing on my YouTube channel and all of that. I've even hired, like, spent tens of thousands of dollars on, like, business strategists to help me over the last, like, 8 months. And it's funny, after all of that, I'd realize it's been in front of my face the whole time. It's been what I've helped people do for years, which is help people raise their dominant vibration. Mm-hmm. Using the power of letting go. I just had to own it. I had to own raising vibration instead of thinking it was like kind of like, uh, I don't know, too esoteric or something. But anyways, you let me know. Now let's talk about this other side of integrating the shadow for a moment. When you integrate the shadow, that can also scare people because you are embracing a part of yourself that you may have not been allowing yourself to embrace. And the part of yourself that that might be is the part of you that, for example, we all have bad parts, parts we label as bad. So as a people pleaser, for me, that meant I thought it was bad to have anger. I thought it was bad to express myself in certain ways. Because I experienced an ex-stepmom growing up that was controlling, I didn't wanna ever be that to other people. And their belief was, if I express myself at all, then I'll be like that. What I had to do is I had to learn that it wasn't my job to manage other people's emotions and energies. So for me to be bad, that meant to actually express myself and not need to manage their emotions or energies. That meant actually having conversations with people that some of which are very uncomfortable. Yeah., but it helped reestablish a new dynamic. And that tension became my initiation into a new expressed version of me. So like the more you integrate and break out of that shadow, you integrate that shadow, the more free you will become. And as you become more free, guess what? It's like reality begins to shift on the outside, but it's also like you're good either way. If you want a free training on this, by the way, go ahead and click the link below. I'll go ahead and put a link in the bottom where I'll explain how to do the mother-father-child triad and how to apply the shift in your life, how to go through this shift in consciousness. 'Cause the truth is, is once you change your base point vibration or energy, that's when everything begins to change. So what you're doing now is you're becoming aware that there's these parts of you that you may have been ignoring that you have made yet to integrate. And by the way, part of integration, the shadow, for me, it was like, okay, so what would be bad for the self-reliant person? It'd be bad to be vulnerable. It'd be bad to ask for help. It'd be bad to not overwork and to just be. Those are all bad. You gotta become bad to integrate. Now also, another deeper layer here is a lot of times we see these parts of ourselves which are stemmed from inner child energy. And what we wanna do is we want to almost shame them. We wanna get them to go away. We wanna become different. But really it's about seeing, hearing, soothing, and nurturing these parts of ourselves. And when we do that, that's when things really begin to shift. So realize that there's an acceptance that comes here as well, but an embracing of the parts of yourself you've been afraid to express. So if you want to become, to vibe so high that it scares people, you will become a new you the more you have courage to express this new you and to put yourself out there. At this recent live event I did, one thing we did is we had people go on a stretch experience where in groups they went out and did something based on these patterns that would be a stretch for them. So if they're an over-giver, maybe they ask a random stranger to buy them lunch. Very scary. If it's somebody that is a— maybe someone that's self-reliant, maybe that person has a vulnerable conversation with their dad or mom, or maybe calls your dad and said, "Are you proud of me?" These will bring up a lot of emotions. But the moment— I watched literally 100 people do this and be completely transformed on the other side of it. Because when you do this kind of work, you begin to unleash and integrate your shadow and it's like a whole new energy comes where eventually people are like, "You're able to have vulnerable conversations like that? You're able to ask someone out?" There was a gentleman at this recent live event that literally for the first time in 30 years asked somebody out. And that person, she said yes. She gave him her number. Yeah. And it was like a whole new world for him. He was like buzzing because he realized that what was holding him back was just fear, was the mind. And the more you do these things, by the way, the more natural they become. The more I create videos, the more natural and easy it is. The more I've ran live events, the more natural and easy it is, the more I have fun with it. So it's like you begin to literally become a new version of you. Now, The key to this though is then when you begin to feel the frequency of this new you, let it be natural and get into mind and heart coherence, that's where things really begin to shift. Because then you begin to, in almost in space of this healing, you begin to put in the frequency of your heart. And when we say no thing, no thing down here, but you're becoming the love that you naturally are. And this is when you actually can then begin to trust something greater than you, trust God, the universe to flow through you.
