In this brief YouTube excerpt, Speaker A shares a recurring belief that they always attract narcissistic or controlling partners. Speaker B responds by highlighting how the specific terminology we use reinforces that belief, explaining that labeling every partner as a narcissist embeds the idea into our subconscious. The dialogue underscores the role of language in shaping subconscious patterns and acknowledges Speaker A’s desire to shift this belief and change the outcome.
I have a belief that I always attract someone that ends up being narcissistic.
It's important, by the way, to become aware of the terminologies we use. Yes, because the terminologies we use reflects back what we believe to be true. So if we say that everyone I attract is narcissist or controlling, we literally are infusing and showing that our belief says everyone, every single one of you is a narcissist.
The unconscious belief is there, the subconscious belief that I attract narcissists is there. I wanna shift that, I wanna change that.
Here's the question I have for you and everyone else can use this in your own way. What is that controlling narcissistic person or whatever energy dynamic is in your life? Have you learned the lesson? Because these people are coming into your life to reflect back something you believe, but there's also some form of lesson there. And maybe the lesson is to say no to a certain type of energy. Maybe the lesson is to be vulnerable and actually express yourself when you would normally back off and not express it. That is a part of the transformation. You say, I learned the lesson.
