if you want it you lack it.

In this motivational video, Aaron Doughty explains that the act of "wanting" something creates a sense of lack, which in turn repels the very thing you desire. He argues that true manifestation comes from shifting from a mindset of lack to embodying the identity of already having what you want. Using personal anecdotes—most notably his transition from a 9‑to‑5 shoe‑sales job to a full‑time YouTuber—he illustrates how daily actions reinforce a new self‑image, turning the desired outcome into a vibrational match. Doughty describes the process as tuning into a different "radio station" of reality, where the self‑image, beliefs, and emotions align with the desired state. He emphasizes that the change must be heart‑centered, done because it reflects who you are, not merely as a means to an end. Practical advice includes committing to daily actions (e.g., making a video every day), adopting a new identity, and using a 21‑day self‑image meditation to solidify the shift. The video concludes with a call to action to like, share, and try the meditation, promising that consistent embodiment of the desired identity will transform one’s life.

Have you ever noticed that when people really, really want something, they normally end up resisting it and they end up actually repelling away the thing that they desire? Now, have you ever found in your life that when you really want something, you create resistance around it and you just have little struggles and obstacles along the way to experiencing it? And even think about how dumb this sounds. If I'm like, I want to be wearing these glasses, I want to be wearing these glasses, but I'm wearing the glasses. Seems ridiculous, right? But if I put them down here and I say, I want those glasses, what I am saying is that I am separate from it and that I don't currently have it. So when I say I want it, I'm saying I lack it. And when we say we lack something or when we vibrationally feel like we don't deserve or have something, then no matter what we do, we experience more and more of that lack. We literally will block it from coming into our lives. But imagine instead of me being like, I lack those glasses, I want those glasses, I want those glasses. Imagine I just picked them up and I could then have them. This is the key in watching this video. I'm going to show you how to just have that which you want, but how to move out of wanting and into being. This is the key. This is how I have created the lifestyle that I have. It wasn't from wanting to be on YouTube, wanting to share these ideas. It was from being it. And in the same way, if you want love and relationship, then it means you lack that within yourself. And there's little, these little tips that I share with you in this video will completely transform your life if you apply them. Welcome back to another video. My name's Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video, I'm gonna show you the biggest tips, the biggest tricks that I've learned and how to move from wanting into being so that you become a vibrational match to what you want to experience. And really think of it like that. Think of you experiencing what you want. The key to that is vibrational resonance. Just like if we had like a, a radio station and we were to tune to the reality where you have money, love, or success, it is a different radio station than when you would want money, love, and success. It's almost like you're up here and over here and there's all this static in between. And the key to this is recognizing that there is a different identity. This is the biggest key right here. There is a different identity, a different self-image to the version of you that wants money, love, or success to the one that actually has money, love, and success. There's a different self-image. There's a different way that version of you carries themselves. There's a different belief system of that version of you. And for years, no kidding, for years I wanted to be making YouTube videos. I knew that I wanted to do that. I was, everyone knows that, you know the story, you've watched my channel, I know I tell it every video, but I was working that 9 to 5 job and for 2 or 3 years before I actually started on YouTube, I wanted to be on YouTube. I wanted to be on YouTube. Do you hear that? What I said there? I wanted, I want, I lack, therefore I wasn't on YouTube. So I was there like, well, I'm working this 9 to 5 job I hate. I go into work every day, uh, selling women's shoes, talking to my coworkers, like complaining about how slow it is. And that was my reality. But then one day I just woke up and I had this epiphany that if I made a video every single day for a year, my life would transform. But then I didn't, I didn't say, well, I want to make a video every day for a year and then it'll transform. I just started making daily videos. And then from there it was a very, it was just months before I was able to put my 2 weeks in and quit that job. Why is that? Because I made a new choice about my identity. Your identity, the way you see yourself, the way you see yourself is a compilation of what you do on a daily basis every day. Think about that. So who are you and how are you showing up in the world? Well, what is your daily routine like? 'Cause this is the thing, what you do one day, it goes on autopilot and then it becomes consistent and that becomes who you are. People used to tell me, how do you make daily videos on YouTube? Well, it was a part of my identity. It was easy. I was like, well, I am a full-time YouTuber. And really what this was is I imagined the self-image, the identity of the future version of me. I think this was like a, could be some type of inner guidance or like higher self message, but it pretty much, a clear message I got was that if you make videos every single day for a year, your life will transform. So I said, okay, what is the— I actually asked the question, what is the one thing I could do every day that would change my life? He said, make a video a day, your life will transform. So I made a video every day. That changed my identity even more powerful than the YouTube algorithm and the gods coming out and saying, yes, you can have more of this or that, or you have more watch time now and we'll grow your channel. It was more so it changed my sense of self. I literally went from somebody that was trying to manifest by sitting on the couch Literally, that was like, I was like thinking about it, I was thinking about it, I was thinking about it all the time. I wanna be doing this, I wanna be on YouTube, I wanna be sharing ideas, I don't wanna be at that 9 to 5 job, but I was only thinking about it. It didn't take on the actual identity, and part of the identity is the behaviors, the self-image, the way I saw myself, and the behaviors, and that changes everything. So that's the question I have for you. What is your current self-image? Because your current self-image of the radio stations, of the one where you want money, love, and success, is a different radio station than the self-image to where you have money, love, and success. You see, for this one, it is natural for you to carry yourself a certain way. It is natural. It is not on a pedestal. That's another part of wanting is a lot of times then we put the goals on a pedestal. We say, I want this. And when we say I want this, we're saying I lack this, but we're also saying this thing is up here and I am down here. Have you ever done that with a person in your life that you're attracted to? You're like, ooh, I hope this goes super well. I hope that this date goes super well. And you put them on a pedestal, they can feel that energy off of you. And you're like sitting there at dinner, you're like, I hope, I hope this person, did I say the right thing? Hahaha. And then you got all this nervous energy instead of just being you. Because you are attractive for just being you. And the more you, you are, the more attractive you are. But then they feel that resistance and it literally repels them. Imagine that anything we chase or anything we want, we repel because wanting implies not having. I know it sounds crazy, but it's like, it's the way it works. And it's so paradoxical because we're told, oh, have a white-hot burning desire. Well, yes, if that burning desire will get you to take action, to get you to a place to where you change your self-image, then I guess have the desire, but the white-hot burning desire also is rooted in a lack mentality. You every moment are changing. This is what quantum physics shows us. Every moment's a new moment. Here I am. Every moment's a new moment. Here I am again. Every moment's a new moment. I'm a new version of me. The cells in my body are literally dying and being reborn every second. It's just that they continue to die and be reborn into the same thing over and over and over again because of my story about who I am, what I'm capable of and how I show up in the world. But if we give ourselves a choice and a permission slip to just let go of the old identity, we can then change. That's what I did with that 9 to 5 job. I was working that 9 to 5 job for literally like 10 years. I was selling women's shoes, like 8, 9 years. And then I just made a choice one day, from now on, I am doing, this is who I am, making a video a day. And guess what eventually happened? That started a new momentum. I gave myself permission to switch. But you see, we have these stories in our mind that change has to be hard. I've been this way so long that how can I just change? You can change by making a new choice about who you are, but it really comes down to the identity. The identity, a knowing that for you accomplish, for you experiencing the love that you want in your life, the joy, the peace, whatever it is, for you to experience that love connection, it's natural for you. You deserve it. You deserve it. And that's important to understand because if you don't feel like you deserve it, you may be over here in lack. All right, so these are questions to be asking yourself. How has wanting served you? If wanting gets you to take action to see yourself in a different way, Because that's the way, see, that's the way most people do it is they think, oh, if I do this, then I'll eventually be this. But you see, you can see the being is a sense of presence. It's a sense of choice about who you are. It's how you're showing up in the world. It's your energy. And what I did is I didn't say, well, once I make 100 YouTube videos, then I will be a YouTuber. I said, no, I'm a YouTuber. I took on the identity, I saw myself that way, and I made videos as if I was a full-time YouTuber. And that was— so it started at the being level, not do. So that's the key to this too. And a lot of the being, by the way, means you're doing it in the sake that it's who you are. You're not doing it because of what it'll get you. You see the difference? If you do something and you make it a means to an end, you're doing it only until you get a certain result. I'm only doing this until I get so many, uh, of growth and all this. No, I did it because it's who I am. It's at my, my heart. This is why it's also very important to understand that whatever you want to be in abundance with, make sure it's connected to your heart, because then it's connected to your soul, then it's connected to a higher vibrational stream that carries you. I know it sounds kind of woo-woo, but it's true. When I make videos, it's what I'm passionate about. It's also with the intention of adding value. Not that it makes me some holy saint or anything, but but I just know that this is how the universe works. The more good you put out, the better you feel, but also the more people you help. And when you are like that, it's almost like the stream, the current of life wants to help you help other people because it's a win-win-win for everybody. But the key to this is recognizing the version of you that is living the life that you don't prefer, that wants money, love, and success, that watches the movie The Secret, and The Secret said you gotta want it, But no, if you want it, you lack it. Instead of wanting and lacking, be it by realizing also those emotions already exist inside of you. The emotions you would feel within a loving relationship, you can have that relationship with yourself. I know it sounds cheesy. It's like, well, it's still my thought. You can feel those loves and emotion already. It's just that we think, oh, somebody else has to be there for me to feel that love. And then we externalize our happiness. You can feel it right now by making that choice. So the key to this whole video is let go of your old identity. It's changing every moment anyways, and realize you can make a new choice about who you are. And then you can know that there is an abundance of everything. There is an abundance, and you can choose that abundance not from lack, but you can make a new choice about who you are and then be that every single day, and it'll compound over time, and eventually that will become your dominant reality. It is like switching the radio station from one station and noticing that if you want it, you lack it, and that it's not linked up to the self-image and the identity of what you really, quote, want, but it's who you are. You get in life a reflection of who you are, not what you want. And when you are being that consistently, it will change your life. You just have to do it not because of what it'll get you, Do it because it's who you are. This video will change your life if you apply that, I promise you. Be that every single day. If you like this video, could you do me a favor and smash that like button? And then also share this video as well with other people that you think it'd add value to. And there's also a self-image meditation that you can listen to for 21 days. It's a very powerful meditation for changing the self-image. Do it, watch what happens, read the comments, see what's possible. Other than that, as always, I'll talk to you later. Peace, much love, and namaste.
