If You Want Them To Call You Instantly, WATCH THIS! (You Will Be On Their Mind)

In this self‑help video Aaron Doughty explains why trying to get someone to text or call you often backfires, describing it as an "externalization of power" that drains your personal energy field. He illustrates how projecting needy intent repels the other person, using anecdotes from his shoe‑selling days, a crowd‑energy experiment, and his own experiences living in Sedona. Doughty then teaches a concrete embodiment practice: pull the energy back into your own body—into your hands and feet—so you become grounded, less attached, and more magnetic. He links this energetic work to deeper psychological patterns, arguing that the urge for external validation stems from childhood wounds, shame, and unmet needs for love and worthiness. By recognizing these internal scripts, releasing shame, and embracing vulnerability, you can shift the polarity in relationships, set stronger internal boundaries, and attract authentic connection. The video concludes with calls to action: a text line for weekly high‑vibe ideas, a link to a related video on "5 secrets to letting go that make you magnetic AF," and encouragement to apply the presented techniques.

So if you feel like you are putting more out to them than they are giving back to you, or if you're waiting for their text, you're waiting for them to call you and they're not, then this video will completely reverse the energy polarity and dynamic that is happening. And I'm gonna share with you exactly what to do. Now, the first thing I wanna share with this is that when it comes to wanting someone else to text you or someone else to call you, What is happening is there is a desire for something on the outside to come and to be part of the experience. So it's an externalization of power. Now look at just this simple also like photo right here, this little diagram. When we think of somebody else or we are sending energy to someone else, what we end up doing is sending them energy and that is actually depleting our own field, especially because we want something from them. And think about it, when people can feel that you want something from them, they tend not to give it energetically. They tend to almost be stingy with their energy because of the expectation that is there. I know that when I used to, even as an example, sell women's shoes, if I was helping customers and I was thinking and I wanted them to buy and I wanted them to respond in a certain way, the more I wanted it, it was like the more they could feel it and the more they resisted buying. It was very interesting. But the more I was unattached and the more I didn't care, the more they would buy. Now, one of the reasons being is because when we want something, we are putting out resistance and then in a way, we are thinking of someone specific and it's in a way like a location address that we are energetically sending that energy to. So if we are thinking of this person that you want them to text you back, or you want them to call you, and you are sending them energy, sending them energy that says, I want this, or I want that, and it's in a way needy energy because there's a feeling of lack, they're energetically feeling it, and it's like they're repelled. They don't want to give you, maybe they actually wanna give you what you like actually want, but because there's this energy of resistance, and this energy of really projecting that energy, they energetically feel it and then they naturally don't want to give it. Now, I've shared this example before, but there's a technique or an example that will kind of illustrate why this is and how this energy works. Now, I've done this before at the Shift Experience, and also I talked about how I did this before at a life transformation place in Costa Rica, but there was an energy person that gave a TED Talk that was talking about energetics and like the energy within our body. And she said, as an example, everyone in the crowd, send me energy, send me energy, project your energy at me. And she said that as everyone in the crowd did, it was like 40 people, she would feel repelled. It would like make her back up, she said. She said she could feel it. It was like pushing her away as they were sending her energy. She said, okay, now I want you to do something else. I want you to bring the energy back to yourself. Bring the energy into your body. Bring it into your body, in your hands and your feet. Feel the energy. And as they did that, as we all did that in the crowd, she said she could feel herself being pulled into the crowd. It's almost like it got a magnetizing effect to it. So I've tested this, I've done this, and this honestly is pretty much the frame technique that I've shared in a lot of my YouTube videos, which is a simple technique of bringing the energy into your body, into your hands, into your feet, going out to public, feeling the separation between you and other people, and you'll notice that other people respond in a very different way. Where if you go out and you want them to say hi to you, you're worried about what they're gonna think of you, you want something, like it's even the validation or approval, it's a very different energy. And I remember when I first started doing this, I was living in Sedona at the time, I'd go on hikes, I'd go to Whole Foods and stuff, I know it sounds random, but I would do that and it was like I wouldn't need anything from anyone else. And it was just such a different response from people because I was more embodied, I was more grounded. Now energetically, when we're talking about someone that you want them to call you or to text you back and you want them to do that, the energetic component of this is being aware of where the childhood trauma might be that is actually wanting their call or approval to begin with. Because until we acknowledge that, we continue to search on the outside for what we didn't feel on the inside when we were kids. We're trying to close the loop from childhood. So a lot of times what happens is we feel like as a kid, we weren't seen, we weren't heard, we weren't validated. So therefore what we do is we search for it in the people we're dating. And if they would just validate us, approve us, or give us or see us for the way we are, we would then feel whole and complete. The challenge is that we're externalizing our own power and we're looking for it on the outside versus giving ourself the validation, the approval, and the love that we're craving on the outside. So the question here is, why am I craving someone to call me, to text me back? And it's looking at that and noticing the awareness that maybe I'm searching for somebody to prove to me that I am worthy, to prove to me that I am enough, to prove to me that I am validated. And the funny thing is, until we become aware of this pattern, we will tend to attract people into our life that replay the same childhood dynamic that we had when we were kids. So if you had an emotionally unavailable mom or dad, you might find that you attract emotionally unavailable partners. And the challenge with that is that then you're trying to get them to give you something that maybe at the moment they don't have the capacity to give. Because what has attracted that pattern to begin with, that emotional unavailability, is a familiarity with that pattern that reminds you of childhood. So it just feels so good and safe. Sometimes feeling safe means that, it could mean that you feel safe and it feels familiar to childhood energy, which doesn't necessarily be, may not actually be a good thing because you might have someone that gaslights you or abuses you, but that feels safe. But the reason that feels safe and familiar is just 'cause it was familiar from childhood. So one of the most powerful things you could do in order to reverse this energy dynamic is to actually pull your energy back. The more you pull your energy back and you don't project it at this person with no torso, this little stick figure right here. I just drew it a minute ago and it's like two legs and two arms, it's like a starved person. But the way that you do this is you pull your energy back and you focus on yourself. And also another huge aspect of this video that changes everything is becoming aware of the beliefs you have about the person and about love and about yourself. Because I had a lot of blocks with love, especially because I felt straight up like I wasn't worthy. I remember I had friends and people in my life, they're like, look at what you've done in your life, look at what you've created, you have this big YouTube following, like how can it be hard for you to attract love? But the reason there was blocks there is because even though I maybe created this YouTube channel, and part of maybe even creating the YouTube channel was to fill the significant wound that I felt as a kid, not feeling worthy, whole, or complete, So it's like, I'm gonna prove it to the world. I'm gonna prove I'm worthy, whole, and complete. I'm gonna add value. I'm gonna make these YouTube videos that get views. I'm gonna have people actually see me, but it's coming from a wounded place. And what I eventually had to do is realize that even though that was something that maybe had some benefit because I created abundance and I've created like something cool out in the world that I feel helps and adds value to people, It was coming from a place where I felt like everything was dependent, like my value, internal value is dependent on what I was doing out in the world instead of realizing that I'm worthy for just being me. And one of the big changes when it came to dating and it came to my own sense of the energy out in the world were like one or two things. One of them was I had to let go of the shame from childhood because the reason I was chasing validation and approval was because I was secretly afraid that people were gonna find out the truth. The truth that I am broken and there is no one, there's no one that can actually love the real me. That's what shame is. We believe as kids that there's something wrong with us and that we're broken. So then in order to get other people to not see that, we try to create success, we try to create all these things. And we try to even, maybe you're on a date with someone, you're trying to just show the certain parts of yourself and you're avoiding other parts of yourself. The key to the transformation that I found is to go into the shame. It's vulnerability. Vulnerability is one of the most attractive things you can do and things that will actually heal the shame. Vulnerability is being able to express the real you. It's being able to express yourself knowing you could get rejected, you could get abandoned, but really you can only get rejected or abandoned if you reject or abandon yourself. And that was a huge change because then when I was dating, what I would do is I would actually express the real me, the parts of myself I was normally afraid of sharing, I would express that. I'd be afraid of like physical vulnerability, like touching someone and then that would depolarize like sexual dynamics. And I'm like, wait, I'm actually just gonna do that. Even if I get rejected, it's like that is how I actually feel or it's what I actually wanna do. And then I would do that and then I found out that it was all in my head. That's what I realized. And then there was much more polarity, which is very interesting. So one of the most powerful things you can do in order to switch this energy around is to become aware if there's any shame there and focus on releasing that shame and realizing you're not broken. It's also realizing that the stuff that happened when you were a kid that we internalized from our parents or parents divorced or whatever it is, it may have happened, but it wasn't our fault. When we take responsibility for it and we think it's internalized, has something to do with us, that's when there's that heavy energy there. But I then realized my parents' divorce, emotional unavailability, all of these things had nothing to do with me. And I didn't have to internalize it and think I'm broken. I realized there was nothing wrong with me except for the belief that I'm broken. So that's what you wanna become aware of. This is an energy game. Attraction is 100% an energy game. And if we have shame and we believe we're not worthy, then we're holding onto that energy within our field. Then guess what? We're gonna seek validation approval on the outside. We're gonna project it out. It's gonna weaken our field. And the answer is to actually bring your energy back, bring the energy back to yourself, feel inside of your hands and your feet, and then let go of all the insecurities, own your own insecurities, and learn to set boundaries. That's also one of the most powerful things. My shadow work integration coach always says boundaries are internal, which means you can set external boundaries with people. Like, don't do this and do this, and like, this is what I expect. You can set external boundaries, but the best boundaries are internal. It's where you believe that people aren't gonna respond to you in a certain way, and you almost just carry an energy with you to where people wouldn't do those things. I've had to learn how to have internal boundaries when I'm sometimes even out in public and I meet people that recognize me, for my videos because sometimes back in the day, I would feel like there's almost like I had such a low sense of my own sense of boundaries that sometimes people come up to me that ask me lots of questions and maybe I'm eating food or maybe I'm shopping in a rush or something like that. And then it's like I felt obligated and responsible to just give as much as I could to myself, as much as I possibly could, even if it meant sacrificing myself. But what I realized eventually is instead of having to set external boundaries, it's almost like I carry an energy now to where people respect my energy. They just come and say hi. I love that, love saying hi to people. But at the same time, there's an awareness that I don't have time to like drop what I'm doing to go hang out and have coffee with somebody. You know what I mean? It's like awareness. And now that I exude that energy, it doesn't happen. So the key to this whole entire process is understanding that energy and how to pull your energy back and just how transformative and just how powerful that is.
