If You Want To Attract Love And Money Take OFF The Shock Collar

This content was created by Aaron Doughty. This content was uploaded by Aaron Doughty. This is a YouTube video titled "If You Want To Attract Love And Money Take OFF The Shock Collar" (published 2021-04-09). The excerpt is a motivational/personal-development monologue by a single speaker who uses a "shock collar" metaphor to describe the ego and limiting beliefs that keep people stuck. The speaker discusses fear of rejection, people-pleasing, leaving a 9-to-5 to go full-time on YouTube, concerns about worthiness and validation, and how stepping into the unknown (despite doubts) can create "magic" — attracting love, money, authenticity, and new opportunities. The piece includes personal anecdotes (e.g., making YouTube videos, building an app, forming a team), an explicit call to action to comment and subscribe, and a closing sign-off.

If you want to attract love, if you want to create your dream life, you got to take the shock collar off. Imagine that you have this shock collar that's on some people. What they do with their dogs is they'll put a shock collar on their dogs if they don't want their dogs to leave their yard. So what they do is there's like a perimeter that's set up. Imagine that there's a perimeter set up and what happens is anytime you cross over that, you get shocked. Well, in the same way that people do that dogs to keep their dogs safe, your ego is doing the same thing for you to keep you from doing anything that's unknown. See, that's the way the ego works. The ego just wants to be safe. So there's times that you may be intending to go, you know, after somebody that you're attracted to, but you're afraid of rejection. So you start walking up, and as you get closer to the perimeter, you get zapped. So it could be that you wanna go full-time doing what you love. And what you do is you start, you have this idea, this business idea, you start taking action with it. I know when I started making YouTube videos, all these fears came up. The closer I got to that of the process of me putting out videos, the more I'd feel this buzz come up when I would start making videos and people would start noticing what I was saying and I would start I'd start wondering what people thought about me. I was worried about what people were thinking about me. And as I did that, I was feeling the zap. I'd feel the doubt, wondering, am I good enough? Does what I say have value? I'd feel zapped again. But that was just my ego trying to keep me safe. Now, the reason I'm asking you this is because there may be something that you could do that would take your life to the next level, but you feel doubt. You feel like something's holding you back. What if the only thing holding you back was the story that you're telling yourself about why you can or can't have that which you want? That's what happens most of the time. Now realize that just like taming a dog, and some people may do the whole shock collar thing. I don't know if I would do that, but some people would. And I actually bought this online just for this video, 'cause that's how inspired I was to talk about this. I'm gonna go inside now 'cause it's getting so bright and my blue sensitive eyes, they just, they can't really stay open. There we go. So think about it like that. The shot caller is keeping you where you are. Now, the shot caller is also the story you're telling yourself about why you are where you are. The story is keeping you trapped. You have a story about love that says that I'm not worthy of attracting a certain type of person, or I always attract a certain type of person. And then when you go out and you start putting yourself out there, you may be afraid of rejection and you may be afraid of, or just think you're not worthy of having certain types of relationships. So what happens is your ego just keeps you safe so that you stay stuck where you are. Now for this, it's about realizing that part of the process is knowing that as you get more and more to the perimeter of your belief system, think of this also as your belief system. What do you believe to be true? There was a version of me that was working a 9 to 5 job. Imagine that was me working a 9 to 5 job. There was a version of me that felt unworthy. There was a version of me that was also a nice guy. This is about three to six months ago. I've had a complete transformation, realizing how inauthentic it was to be a people pleaser. But you see, the ego had this shock collar on me that said, oh, don't give tension, don't be authentic, because people might reject you. Try to get the approval and validation of other people. So as I would then go and try to and be authentic, I would then worry all these, oh, zap, zap. "I just gotta be likable. I gotta chase people's approval." That was the belief. But then what happened is I then started to become aware that I was wearing that shock collar. I became aware of it. And then I was like, "Okay, this is keeping me safe. Like, yes, I'm dealing with it, but it's not actually authentic. Why am I actually even wearing this thing?" And then I realized, you know what? I can trust myself enough to know that I do not need to, once I find the, where is it? Dang, this thing actually hurts. I don't actually have to wear it. I thought that I had to wear this for a long time to keep me safe, but I realized then that if you do the same things every day, if you feel the same emotions every day and you think the same thoughts every day, you get the same results over and over again. A shock collar will keep you in the repetitive mind, thinking the same thoughts, feeling the same emotions and doing the same things. In order for you to create magic in your life, you have to take the jump. You have to take the shock collar off and realize that stepping into the unknown is where all the magic happens. Nothing magical happens in the known. In the known, it's the things that you've been creating in your life over and over again. It's safe. The shock collar is safe. If you want to create magic in your life, take off the shock collar. It will feel uncomfortable sometimes. You'll feel like you're doing something wrong. You'll feel like if you go outside the perimeter of your house, that something bad's gonna happen because what is out there into the unknown? You see, but that's the point of this whole entire video is you have to take the jump knowing that there will be some doubts that come up. Those doubts are just the shock collar. That's it. It's this thing right here keeping you safe. But the problem is that keeping you safe is keeping you where you are. So take off the shock collar and know that the doubts are gonna come up. You push through it, you take action, you realize that as those doubts come up, it's just the old ego, it's just the old shock collar. I had lots of doubts when I was going full-time on YouTube, when I was making videos, I cared about what people thought a lot. I was afraid that leaving a 9-to-5 job that I felt so comfortable doing for so long that I made $50,000, $60,000 a year with, it was like, if I let this go, what will I do if it doesn't work out? That was the ego trying to rationalize the safety with love and the nice guy pattern. It was safe to be that way. That's the way my dad was. That's the way that I learned to gain. I would exchange in a way and be nice in exchange for validation and approval. And then I realized, what the hell am I doing? That was the shock collar keeping me safe even though it didn't feel authentic. Once I dropped that, everything changed, by the way. Once I took off the shock collar and started being authentic, I have a totally different energy about me. And maybe you could feel it in my recent videos compared to my older videos. There's just a different energy. I feel more grounded now. I feel more authentic now. And I'm leading in my life in a way I never have before, really. I'm building an app right now. I'm building a bigger team right now. I'm doing all these things I didn't do before because I was so freaking safe just making YouTube videos on YouTube. Just making a couple videos a week, just doing the whole like thing I've been doing for 2 years. Now I'm starting to branch out, do live events, stepping into the unknown. And the only reason I didn't do it till now is 'cause I was wearing a shock collar that was shocking me back into the known, thinking the same thoughts, feeling the same emotions, and doing the same things over and over again. So I want, my message for you today is this. When you take off the shock collar and you become aware that it's just your ego trying to keep you safe, and you start to step into the unknown, magic will begin to happen. Magic. And you may feel and not be sure of where it's going, but guess what? If you're in the known, you're only gonna create more of what you've already had. You have to step into the unknown to create magic. Know that those doubts coming up, those fears coming up, it's natural. You're getting towards the perimeter, and in the past, you've been shocked. You're not gonna get shocked now 'cause you're gonna take off the shock collar and you're gonna trust. That outside your perimeter of your house, there's magic. Your soulmate's waiting at the perimeter of the house. Your dream life, your dream job is over there, but you're still safe over here. Take the leap, take the jump. I promise that it will be worth it. And that in the unknown is where all the magic, anything in my life that I've been afraid to do, and I do it knowing that it's something that's connected to my heart, something I'm meant to be doing, it's, it's been life transforming. But it's just having to become aware of it is the first step. Becoming aware that you're wearing a shock collar, that your ego is just trying to keep you safe. And then the second step is jumping into the unknown. So in what way will you jump into the unknown today? Declare it below. Go and comment below. Let us know what you will do that's new, how your shock collar has been keeping you where you are, And then also subscribe if you haven't already. I'll be doing more metaphor videos like this, more videos in general, and I'm excited to be sharing more of these ideas with you. So with that being said, as always, take that shock collar off and see you guys in the next video. Peace, much love, and namaste.
