It's boring, but this will make you magnetic AF

Aaron Doughty explains why you feel stuck in low-vibration patterns: you're clinging to old identities formed in childhood, like the people-pleaser or over-giver. Transformation requires repeatedly doing uncomfortable things until they rewire your self-concept. He offers a free vibration quiz and 21-day meditation to help you release the core pattern keeping you low.

If you're someone who wants to raise their vibration, but you find yourself stuck in old patterns or even stuck in old identities, this video is going to show you exactly how to bridge that gap into the highest vibrational you. Understand this: your vibration is naturally high. Love, joy, peace— this is who you naturally are. The only reason you feel stuck in low vibration is because there's some form of attachment that is keeping you there. There's some form of label, identity, some form of connection to this past part of you. And when you let that go, you naturally raise back up. Think about it like a cork on the top of a surface of an ocean bobbing along. What happens is if you give it resistance, it goes under the surface of the ocean. How do you get it to raise back up? You simply let go. When you let go, it will raise back up to the surface. And when you let go of the old attachment to the beliefs and the identity that is keeping you stuck, your whole entire life will transform. In this video, I'm going to show you step by step how you can bridge that gap to actually be in that high vibrational version of you. I'm going to show you how it has evolved from a past identity that was birthed in childhood I'm going to show you how when you let that go and feel the energy underneath the surface, it will completely transform your life and you will literally become unrecognizable. If you can imagine a version of you that's very magnetic, that's bold, that's expressive, that's authentic, that's really making waves in the world in a much different energy in the way that which you're doing right now, and there's a part of you that feels you keep getting pulled back into old patterns. There's a part of you that feels like you, you just feel blocked. Why am I aware of this over here? And yet I still keep making decisions over here, attracting the same type of people over here, etc. One of the things you want to look at is that one of the strongest human desires there is, is to stay consistent to the way you define yourself. And there's a very strong human desire to stay consistent to familiar emotions and energies. Another word for familiar is family. So if as a kid it felt familiar for you to stay in the background or it felt familiar for you to be playing small, that may have been how you think you need to be in order to allow everyone else around you to feel comfortable. And what happens is then you see other people doing what you want to do and you want to be like them, but you feel like somehow it's not meant for you. Or maybe you feel like it is meant for you, but you have blocks around it, and then you keep finding yourself blocked or stuck in the situation. One of the things that I became aware of when I used to sell women's shoes in 2017, right before I made the choice to go daily on YouTube, was recognizing that actually the real imposter wasn't the version of me starting to make YouTube videos that I felt like it was imposter. I had this realization that the real imposter was actually the small, plain version of me. The 9-to-5 job-going version of me that was going to a job that I didn't necessarily enjoy. That was saying yes to upper management who I didn't really like. That was going to the schedule that was nothing like I really wanted. It was not my life that I felt like was really something I was choosing. It was just the autopilot. The thing that really allowed me to begin to become more free was recognizing that that version of me that was at the 9-to-5 job pretending to be a 9-to-5 job goer, that was the real imposter. Even though it's unfamiliar for you to be someone else that you haven't, with repetition, put in yet, even though it's unfamiliar, doesn't mean it's not real. Doesn't mean it's not the real authentic you. So recognize that the real imposter might be the old autopilot self. It might be the part of you that's playing small, the part of you that's afraid to be seen. These are different parts of you that aren't the real you. This is why most of what I teach in my content is not about becoming more magnetic, becoming better, becoming more confident. It's about letting go. It's about letting go of the belief that you're not there yet. It's about letting go of the thing that you may have put lots and lots of reps in and say, this is who I am, but having the courage to let go of those emotions and energies. So back in 2017, I had to let go of the image of myself of being a 9-to-5 job goer. I had to recognize that that 9-to-5 job goal was giving me a lot of safety in my life, a lot of familiar energy. It allowed me to project ex-stepmom stuff onto my bosses because they were very similar to the boss dynamic. There was— things weren't fair. Bosses were able to tell us what to do and had very like, uh, they talked down to us just like in my childhood. I tolerated it. And one of the things you want to become aware of here is that, have you been tolerating a reality for a very long time and then told yourself, oh, this is just familiar, this is what I know. I know I want this over here, but the thing is, is over here feels very safe and comfortable. It feels very normal. It's very familiarized. So if you want to create a shift in your vibration that is so strong that it completely Changes your life from the inside out. You want to let go of your old identity of the 9-to-5 job goer, of the people pleaser, of the overworker, whatever that identity is. That's a survival strategy from childhood. You want to let that go by letting the emotion underneath it go. And then what you want to do is you want to focus on embodying a new energy, even though it feels unfamiliar. Anything you do with repetition begins to change your identity over time. So, when I think of people that, you know, I think of myself like back in the day, I was old identity. Let's talk about it in the form of like a caveman, right? Let's make this teaching extremely simple. If you imagine a caveman and you imagine like, I feel this way. OK? Back in the day, I worked 9-to-5 job. This my job. I don't like job. I want to be over there. Eventually what I did is I recognized that that was familiar. I, I simply would do that over and over again and I say, this who I am. I am 9-to-5 job. I wasn't really the 9-to-5 job. That was something I was just tolerating. And then eventually I made the choice to be a new version of myself, to be making videos every day on YouTube. It felt weird at first. I make videos on YouTube. I feel fear. I feel doubt. I feel not credible. I take action anyways. Then with repetition, one day it is normal. It feels like this is who I am. My outer reality begins to change as a reflection. But the thing you want to become aware of here is that what is the difference between these things? These differences are simply a choice that you make to embody an emotion or an energy That is unfamiliar. And anything you do in the beginning will feel weird. If you're a people pleaser, an empath, an overgiver, if you're a hard worker, hyper-independent, it will feel weird as a hyper-independent person to actually begin to relax more. It'll feel weird to then ask for assistance from other people or to connect with other people when you normally see yourself as a lone wolf. It'll feel weird, but you can let that Familiar energy keep you trapped. If a people pleaser, you start to express the real you and let other people be with tension, knowing it's not your thing to manage, it will feel weird. But with repetitions, it gets easier. Just like back in the day for me, when I was breaking the pattern of people pleasing, I started to have vulnerable, real conversations instead of tiptoeing around things. First it felt weird, then it got more familiar, and now having conversations like that are very normal. And I don't identify as a people pleaser or an over-giver because I recognize that I can let people— I just be me, just express the real me. If I were to ask you where your vibration is right now on a scale of 1 to 10, where would you say it is? Would you say it's at like 3 or a 4? Would you say it's at a 7 or an 8? 10 being the highest vibrational you. What if I told you there's a way in which you could become aware of where your current vibration is and you could get a meditation for raising it to the next level? Something that there is is called the What's My Vibration quiz. It's a free quiz you can take to become aware of where your current vibration is, get a meditation for releasing your core pattern, and then raise it to the next level. I'll go ahead and link that below. You can download or go through that quiz and download a meditation. Listen to it for 21 days and watch what happens. So who are you? Start to ask yourself that question. Because you think you might be the people pleaser, the person playing small, the person that's afraid to be seen, but that's not really you. That's you pretending to be the autopilot person growing up of what was conditioned. The real you, I would argue, is the one that's more expressive. The real you is the one that's not afraid to be— You know, you can— Everyone at a certain level is afraid to be seen. But when you're talking about the fear of being seen, what does being seen actually mean? To be seen more might mean that other people can judge you. And if you think their judgments are your thing to manage, you won't want to be more and bigger because guess what? It will come with more people that can criticize you. So subconsciously, you might actually avoid the thing that you want. Often people will say, I attract emotionally unavailable people. I want to attract emotional availability. But you tolerate emotional unavailability for a very long time because as a kid, it was probably familiar for you to be around someone that was emotionally unavailable and your needs weren't met. So the thing is here is you begin to take the ball back into your court when you recognize also this: by the time you are in a relationship with the emotionally available person, you will have stuff get brought up that's very uncomfortable to look at. You will have things get brought up of connection and things that were— then you're like, feels uncomfortable. Because vulnerability is coming up, and you don't have to be very vulnerable when you're in a dynamic with someone where you're— there's emotional unavailability. Things in life are always a mere reflection. So if you attract an emotionally unavailable person and you say it's them, there's energy where it's like, it's all them. I have this all figured out. I am emotionally available. But if you've tolerated and normalized emotional unavailability, there's a part of you that is not emotionally available. And the part of you that you want to look at here is the part of you that might be afraid of their rejection, might be afraid of their disapproval. And that's why maybe you keep that energy in your life subconsciously, because it's reflecting something back to you. It's reflecting something back to you that you can then begin to see what is this unresolved energy underneath the surface and how can I begin to bridge from this version to this version? So if you're looking to elevate your energy and vibration so much that you become unrecognizable, you want to understand that this magnetic version of you already exists. You don't have to create it. It already exists. You simply need to energetically align with it through deciding it's who you are and through repetition. That repetition will feel unfamiliar for a while. But realize this. This old version of you, the autopilot version of you, the you that you think this is who you are, this version of you is simply the autopilot, the survival mode. This is the real imposter. And when you recognize that, you then see, oh, this is just a pattern. This is an outdated identity. This is a survival strategy from childhood of who I believed I needed to be to gain mom or dad's approval. So what then begins to happen is you begin to take your power back. Now let me say as well, when you think of that, you know, sometimes when I'm teaching inner child work, you'll see, you know, I'll have you look at a certain part of yourself, like maybe the people pleaser part of you, the hyper-independent part of you, whatever. And often it's like, ew. Disgusting, wanna get rid of you. I don't want you here. I don't want people to see you. That creates more shame and it creates more conflict between you and a different aspect of you. If you can see, hear, soothe, and nurture this part of yourself, you can begin to accept it. And this is the door into a completely new reality of magnetic energy when you can accept a part of yourself you've been rejecting. So I want you to look right now at the part of you that you say, you are so low vibration, you keep pulling me back into low vibration energy, you are afraid to be seen, I want you to look at that part of you and see it and hear it and soothe it and nurture it and actually accept it. And to recognize it's just trying to keep you safe from the scary unknown of being seen by other people, from the scary unknown of vulnerability and whatever's on the other side of you becoming bold and authentic. But recognize that this initiation, this tension, is where your transformation is. So very often people will wonder, well, how do I get out of feeling stuck in that low vibrational energy? First off, recognize that you might be stuck in low vibration energy partially because you believe you shouldn't be stuck in low vibration energy. First off, you believe you're in low vibration energy, which means that there is low vibration and high vibration. I want to be high vibration. The funny thing is, is the way you get through the low vibration energy is by accepting the low vibration energy and letting yourself feel the emotion that's coming up when it comes up. And what you do is, as you accept that emotion and energy, as you let it be there, you will find that you begin to process it and integrate it. And then you start to see this as a part of the process, like, what am I learning from this? What is this allowing me to feel more of? And do I want to continue to stay in this energy even though it's familiar and I get to be right about reality? At what point will I finally make the choice to begin to be this new version of me, this new confident version of me? The word confidence itself actually is rooted in the etymology of the meaning of trust— to trust. And how do you begin to trust something new that's unfamiliar? You begin to trust with repetition. You begin to trust by doing it, taking action as it— knowing it's going to feel unfamiliar and weird. But the more you do it and the more you trust your ability to handle it, Is the more you begin to realize that the things you thought you were afraid of may have actually mainly been in the mind, a way of avoiding feeling a certain emotion. So you becoming the highest vibrational version of you means that it's more about letting go of everything you've learned from the past and believing that this is the identity of who you are. Yeah. You are not a people pleaser, an over-giver, hyper-independent. Whatever the pattern is of who you think you are, understand first off, you get to be right about reality because it affirms your childhood. It affirms who you've had to be your whole entire life. And to begin seeing yourself in a new way comes with some shifts. One of that shifts is means you have to do something new. You have to try being a way that's not familiar. And then what will come from that is people that aren't used to seeing you in that way. And your job is to allow yourself to let yourself have a new vision of yourself, give yourself permission, and to let that bring up stuff for other people. I remember when I first got on YouTube and started making videos, I wanted all my friends and family to be so excited for me. I thought when I started, they were going to like be like, oh my God, you made a video yesterday. It was epic. And then I just keep doing it. And I remember going to a friend's house once and seeing a whole bunch of friends from high school and, oh, I'm doing YouTube. And it was before things grew and it was just like, okay, you know, because I wanted their approval or validation somehow to affirm that I'm going after something I'm excited about even though the results aren't there yet. Then eventually I started to get momentum. Things started to happen very quickly and it was like then I'd go and my friends— some people were much more excited, like, oh, that's so cool, you're creating— I'm watching your videos now. Now they're watching the videos. But it was funny because the less that I needed it, because the more centered I felt inside of myself, the more I received it. But I didn't need it. And in the same way, you can think of it like there's times I remember where I would see certain people from my past or certain judgments of comments from YouTube Get a lot of positive comments. Every now and then there'd be a negative one. If I internalized it, I'd let that hold me back and stop me. But I recognized that the triggers that happen in other people from me expressing the real me is their thing, not my thing to manage. And sometimes I would bring stuff up in people by me going after my passion and doing what I love. That would bring up some things in people where I could tell they might secretly— I would feel Like guilty because I felt like they would feel small around me. I mean, this even came down to where, like, I remember one time my brother came to my house. My brother's a few years younger than me, and when I started to become successful on YouTube, I rented a nice house in Vegas, and my brother was in town, and he came over with my mom and my brother and my sister, and I didn't want my brother to feel small. Yeah. So what I did is I closed up the bedrooms, all the bedroom doors, so that, um, you couldn't see what was in those rooms. And when he came over, he's like, oh, is this your house? And I said, oh, I'm renting it with friends. I wasn't renting it with friends. It was my 4-bedroom house. But I was— I didn't want him to feel small. And I remember being aware of the shadow inside of myself. I felt responsible if he felt tension. Felt like maybe the people in my family would want things from me because they would see my success. But I was also rejecting my ability to just simply like stand in my frame. It's not my job to fix everyone's problems, pay for everything. Uh, someone else feels small, it reflects something back to them. I don't want to rob somebody else out from like, you know, like I can— I knew that I would either inspire people or it would trigger people. It's not my job to manage the triggering of other people by being the most authentic me. What was funny is like a year later I moved into a bigger house. This is like back in the day when I first got on YouTube. I was like, I want a bigger house. So, I'm living in Vegas. I moved 3, 4 houses down from Mike Tyson. Lived in a guard-gated neighborhood. Really cool. A lot of my old YouTube videos were in this house. It was like a real cool, like 4,500-square-foot house with like a pool and like a really cool view of Vegas Strip. And I remember moving into that house and then my brother and my sister and my mom were coming over for Christmas. Same thing, comes over. You renting this with friends? What do you think I said? Yeah, I'm renting it from friends. Oh, don't judge me. Don't want anything from me. Don't feel small. Instead, I was like, yeah, this is my house. I'm renting it for a year. And he goes, cool. That was it. But in my mind, I'm like, I don't want to outshine. I don't want him to feel small. It's not my job to manage that. So, a lot of times we might be afraid to shine because we are afraid of other people feeling small around us. But realize it's not your job to manage how they feel when they're around you. And if you're shining your light, you're doing cool things in the world, you're putting yourself out there authentically, it might be a very great thing where they can either come on board and be inspired by it. or it might bring things up, stuff in them, they might judge you. That judgment's not your thing to manage. Let them feel whatever they feel. Let them realize there's nothing wrong with you. Your job is to be authentically you and to express the real you. Your job is not to get them on board, not to make them think or feel a certain way. So as you begin to take the power back inside of yourself, you can see that a lot of the blocks you have that might be keeping you stuck in low vibration Are simply evidence that allows you to stay where you are because where you are and the emotions you feel are familiar. And could it be that some of the people we attract into our life are partially in our life because they're serving a purpose? Like, could it be that if you feel guilt in your life around certain people, you could say they are making me feel guilty? But they might be in your life because also they allow you to feel the guilt, which is unresolved inside of the body. You came here to learn a certain lesson about guilt. And what the emotion of guilt says is the guilt says, I feel responsible. So you might be learning how to integrate, realizing you're not responsible for how someone else feels. So what happens is then it's a different way of relating to all this energy. Because then you realize that some of the people you attract into your life that are controlling, they might be secretly in your life subconsciously. They might be in your life for you to stand up to yourself, for you to not go along according to whatever they want you to do, for you to say no when you normally say yes. Certain people are in your life because there's some unresolved energy from the past And keeping them and tolerating them in your life feels familiar and normal until you become aware of your power and you wake up and you realize it's not your job to fix them. It's not your job to get them on board. And what happens is from that level in that energy, you then realize that there's something to integrate here that will allow you to become that high vibrational you. And many times it will mean leaning into tension. Seeing yourself in a new way, realizing it might feel weird and unfamiliar, but realize that your identity isn't static. Your identity is flexible. Think about it. At one moment in your past, there was probably a certain way you identified yourself, and then you had an experience, and then you started to identify yourself different. You think of like going and, uh, you know, there's people that get into golf or something, might judge it, and then they start doing it, they fall in love with it or something, and then they're golfers. They— it— there's like a shift in identity that happens. Then they start thinking, having friends that golf, they start doing it on like once a week or whatever that is. I don't golf, but it's an example. Anything you do repetitiously begins to wire in that version of you. And you can use this for any area of your life where you feel stuck and recognize that the stuck is simply an excuse to stay in old energy, to stay the same, to— and if it stems from an old identity, you become aware of that old identity and become aware that that identity might not even be the real you. It's simply a survival strategy from childhood that's unintegrated. hasn't been accepted, hasn't been felt, and therefore is still running the show. And you then might say things like, ooh, I'm afraid to be seen. What does that even mean? To be seen? Like if someone looks at you, you're like, ah! No, right? It's a silly idea, but we say these phrases. What does it mean to be seen? It means other people can judge me. It means— these are just simply different terms we give To understand that there's a certain part of our inner child that's afraid to be seen. To be seen as a kid may have came with pain. There are other people that, like, have the opposite problem, right? They always need to be seen. And those people probably trigger the crap out of you because they have the other side of the unintegrated thing on their own end that triggers you. Which is interesting, isn't it? So realize that your opportunity here to get out of stuck energy about being low vibration, it's about recognizing that there is going to be tension as you bridge off into this high vibrational version of you. There is a letting go of an old identity, a letting go of an old role, and a letting go of emotion that you might not allow yourself to feel. And by actually embracing it and accepting it, you begin to create a powerful transformation for you. Then you make a choice as to how you can begin to be this new version of you and begin to see it as a part of who you really are. Live according to certain values like vulnerability, authenticity, presence. And as you're expressing this version of you, that will come with eventually the outer reality changing as a reflection. But very often what happens for people is they're waiting for the reality mirror to change for them to change. And that's where people stay stuck. They're waiting for permission. For so long, I was waiting for permission to go on YouTube, waiting for permission to end people-pleasing patterns. But no one's going to show up out of nowhere and be like, just do it, you got this. The key is you have to be the one initiated. You have to be the one to give yourself permission. You have to be the one to commit to this new you and recognize that confidence is built through repetition. Confidence is built through you making a choice. And back in the— and when you might make that choice, once there's a lot of pain, once there's like certain situations, then you might make the choice. But you've been tolerating this for such a long period of time, and you have a very high level of tolerance around it because it's familiar. For me, in 2017, I had a manager. I had 3 managers that pulled me up into an office to talk, to tell me that if I was ever on my phone again, I'd get written up. They made me watch a 5-minute video of me on my phone with silence. After a minute or 2, I was like, OK, I get the point. They wanted me to watch it on this projector screen on this room that's called the Situation Room. It's getting written up. And in that moment, I was talked down to so much that I made a choice. I'm going to figure out YouTube. I'm not going to be talked down, and one day very soon, I'm going to work for myself. And within 6 or 8 months, I was full-time on YouTube. People pleasing, very similar. You have a high tolerance. One day you may decide, screw this, I'm going to embrace my dark side. The dark side might be the expressive parts of you that other people feel tension. It's not your thing to manage, but you recognize I'm gonna do this. I'm gonna be authentic. I'm no longer gonna carry this resentment inside of myself anymore. I'm gonna express the real me. Other people's tension is their tension, not my thing to manage. So whatever area of your life you want to get out of low vibration energy, you must embrace the energy you've been avoiding. And that tension is your portal into the new you. And when you begin to embrace that tension with repetition, That tension will one day not be tension. It'll be something you actually enjoy and it'll be normal for your nervous system and your identity. It's like when you go to the gym. I remember I had this friend growing up. Anytime we'd go to the gym, he'd always be trying to get in shape. Go to the gym. And then he would get super sore and he'd never go again. Yeah, you're going to get sore. That tension with repetition eventually becomes something that gives you positive endorphins that you fall in love with. But for a while, it's going to be kind of weird. You're going to be sore the next day. So commitment to the process is the key to this. And when you commit to that process, that's when everything in your life will really begin to change. So if you want to learn more, by the way, about how you can go deeper to create this inside-out transformation, something that you can do is you can right now calibrate your vibration to learn where your current vibration is.
