In this video Aaron Doughty explains how students can apply the law of attraction to improve their academic performance, memory, and focus. He argues that whatever we focus on expands, so negative self‑talk creates a self‑fulfilling prophecy of poor grades. The core mechanism is self‑image: believing you are capable of high grades unlocks your brain’s full potential. Doughty cites research on teacher expectations and labeling that shows children perform in line with the abilities they are told they have, and he describes a study where expectations were switched mid‑year, causing performance to shift accordingly. He shares his own transformation from a C‑student in sophomore year to a 3.9 GPA graduate after deciding he was smart. He then offers practical mindset steps—decide you are smart, let go of limiting labels, visualize success, and take action—to reprogram self‑image and attract better grades and memory. The video ends with typical channel calls‑to‑action.

Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron Doughty and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video, I'm going to be sharing with you how to use the law of attraction if you're a student, if you intend to get good grades, or you want to retain information and have a better memory. Now the idea behind this video and the intention behind it is to give you some practical tools that can completely change the way you view yourself and knowing that that you have the potential to become the kind of person you want, to get the kind of grades that you want, and to have the kind of memory that you prefer. Now with this idea and with understanding the law of attraction, realize that with the law of attraction, whatever we focus on will grow. Whatever perspective we have will continue to grow. So if we're having a perspective that says that I'm not smart or has an and says that I can't remember things, what we are doing is creating for ourselves more of that experience. It becomes in a way a self-fulfilling prophecy. Now the most powerful thing that we can do is actually beyond the law of attraction, and it has to do with understanding our self-image. Now our self-image and the way we view ourselves is that we will always live up to whatever potential we think we have. So if you think you're able to get A's and B's, you have the potential to get A's and B's. If you think that you're only a C student, you'll continue to get more C's, and occasionally you might get different grades, but that will be the main barrier of your potential. Now the truth is, is you have potential to get whatever kind of grades you want, and all you have to do is simply decide that you have the ability to do it, is to simply decide and to see yourself as being able to do that. Because the way our mind works is it will work for us if we believe that we have that potential. It will fill up the space that we give it. But if we're focused on a certain perspective and we say, you know, I'm just a C student, I'm only capable of doing this, we will only use that part and that much of our brain in order to remember those concepts. Now this is something that they have shown in research before. They have shown how when you tell a kid how smart the kid is, or when you put a kid in special education, or give them a certain type of treatment that kind of reaffirms to them that this is only how smart you are, they will only live up to that potential. Now they've also done studies where they have a teacher and they tell the teacher that this group of kids is the smart kids and that this group of kids are the kids that aren't smart. The kids in— this is like elementary school— will live up to the potential they're given. Now they're more unconscious. They're not really aware of a lot of these ideas at that age, but the idea is that they are living up to the potential that they are expected by the person that is teaching them. What they also did with that study is they switched it halfway through the year and then told the kids that were originally told they weren't smart that they were smart, and then vice versa with the kids that were told they were smart. They told them that they weren't as smart as they thought. What happened is, is then they started to live to the potential that they were given. So the idea is that we have the ability to simply decide that we're going to live up to our potential. Now, this is something that I went through because up until my sophomore year of high school, I was simply a C student. I didn't think that I was that smart. I didn't associate myself with being smart, and I just always knew that I could get by. But something happened. To this day, I don't know exactly what it is, but I started to get a certain grade and certain tests that I was taking, and I just simply decided and started to realize that I was smart. From that point going forward, I was getting A's and B's. I then took honors classes and I ended up graduating with a 3.9 GPA, and that all happened. And when I look back at it, I realized that there was a point in my sophomore year of high school when I simply decided that I was smart and I started to look at myself in that way. Now, the idea behind this is that our memory will work in the potential that we give it and that we assume. If we decide that we are smart, if we decide that we have the ability to remember and to retain information, What we do is we allow ourselves to use our full potential as we are focused on the perspectives that say that I can get this kind of grade, I can retain this kind of information. We will find more and more evidence of it and we'll start to really use the full potential of what we can do. And that goes even a little bit deeper into the law of attraction and understanding that you have the ability to be who you prefer to be. You have the ability to get straight A's. You have the ability to retain the information. Just simply decide that you can do it and then to take action in doing so. Let go of any limiting labels. Let go of any labels of what people told you growing up. If there was a teacher that told you you weren't smart, you don't have to listen to it. Realize that that's more of a reflection on them. That's more of something they were dealing with. When you start to look at it from this point of view, you can redefine yourself in knowing that you can be who you decide to be in the present moment. So remember, all you have to do is redefine who you are. See yourself as somebody that is successful. See yourself as somebody that gets good grades. Start to use the full potential of your mind by knowing that you can retain information, and as you go about this process, you will begin to see yourself get better grades. And knowing that that is a part of who you choose to be. So with that being said, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Feel free to like this video if you liked it. Subscribe if you haven't already.
