Letting go is Easy AF (it's SO simple)

Aaron Doughty argues that attachment to labels, people, and outcomes blocks what you want to manifest. He walks through releasing shame from childhood trauma and raising your vibration, using stories about ADHD labels, a controlling stepparent, and craving YouTube validation.

In this video, you're going to learn why letting go is the most powerful manifestation process you can possibly apply in your life. You're going to learn why attachment actually resists that which you want to bring in and how when you really attach, you don't leave room for anything else to move in and how a side effect of letting go is your vibration, your energy, your level of consciousness will naturally begin to raise and you'll find that things happen easier. Things are more effortless. And it's because there is less resistance in your life altogether. So in this video, I'm going to show you step by step exactly what to do. And I believe this is the video that when you look back 3 to 4 months from now, you see that this is the thing that planted a seed that profoundly changed your life. Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now on this video, I wanted to share with you why letting go works like magic and how you can easily apply this into your life. Now, normally when we're studying the law of attraction, what we hear is we need to think about what we want. We need to intend for what we want. And all the focus is, is on the outer reality. When in fact, all the outer reality is, is a reflection of the inner reality. So if we have a belief, either a thought, a label, or some type of attachment that keeps us tied to our old self or old reality, no matter how much we think of that, of the Lamborghini, of the money, of the dream job, of the ideal relationship, no matter how much we think of it, if we are still attached to the old, we ain't making room for it. It's like if you have a closet that is so full of stuff and you want to buy more stuff, but even if you bought it, where would you bring it to? You'd have to clear out some of the stuff to then allow it in. And when I looked at my own life, I noticed that for me to be a full-time YouTuber, to have that, the cool little trophy over there that symbolizes all the validation that I feel because I'm so worthy now, that as a reflection was something that I had to let go of the old past self to become this new higher vibrational Aaron Doughty who has 100 or whatever. You get the idea though. But there are things that we're attached to, that those things that we're attached to is what's actually blocking us from bringing anything new in. So the secret to everything in my life that I've accomplished has been from not necessarily just wiring in, mainly letting go, letting go of belief systems, of labels. I used to have the belief that I have ADHD and therefore guess what? The only reason, the only way that I knew to get around that, you want to know what it was? Taking Adderall, smoking weed. That was the only, that's what I believed. That was the only way for me to get through it. Uh, at least that was the belief system. I had to let go of that label altogether. So these are the different types of attachments. Let's first go off over those. So there is the attachment of a label. So this is like you are attached to the label label of being shy or being outgoing or being the class clown or of being the introvert or of being single, always the one in the relationship. You know, there's many different labels that we'll find that if we attach to it, then makes it challenging for us to switch anything because it's a part of our self-image. It's a part of our identity, which we'll talk about in a minute. Attachment to a person. Imagine that you're attached to a family member or a friend and you want to become successful, but you're afraid if you do become successful, then you're afraid that you're going to let them go and you're going to let go of that friendship. You're going to let go of that relationship. You might find that it's hard for you to attract in love. Well, guess what? It's hard to attract in love when you're attached to a past partner and you're energetically still attached to that. You have to let go to then let in. I'm going to explain to you exactly, exactly how you can let go as well. Now, a belief. If you have a limiting belief that says, I'm not worthy, or a limiting belief that says, I must work a 9 to 5 job, I must go to college like my dad and mom told me to, then guess what? Doing anything outside of that belief, you're going to believe you're a bad person. If you have a belief that money is bad because if money's not backed by gold and the control system on the planet and all this stuff, then guess what? How can you attract money when money is bad? You're not a bad person. You don't wanna be bad. Now, the thing with this is becoming aware of these things, the outcome. If you're attached to the outcome, to how things happen, how much resistance are you gonna bring in to the whole experience? Probably a lot. I know in my own experience for all of these, I've been attached to different things at different times. I've been attached to ex-girlfriends before, made it very challenging for me to move on. I've been attached to negative beliefs, like believing I'm unworthy. Substances, you can be attached to substances. I was smoking weed all day, every day for 2 years, and it was because I couldn't imagine a life without it. Anytime I'd read an article or something that said anything bad about weed, I'd immediately put it out of sight, out of mind, because I didn't want to believe anything negative about it. Now we become addicted and attached to these things because it many times replays similar energy dynamics from when we were kids. You guys hear me? You guys feel me on this? If you guys like videos on letting go, can you like this video below and comment? Let me know. I'm going to be talking more about letting go moving forward because it's something I'm passionate about. But in general, when we talk about these things and we talk about the things that we're attached to, it's because of childhood trauma many times that we're addicted to certain things. I look to my own life when I had the ex-stepmom from 7 to 15 years old where I had no freedom. My dad was married to her. She's my ex-stepmom and we weren't allowed to have friends. We weren't allowed to earn going to school activities. We were given a bowl of cereal in the morning and TV dinner at night. I know I told this story so many times on YouTube, so you've probably heard it before, but guess what I was addicted to there? Guess what I was attached to? I believed and had a belief. I had a belief that women are trying to control me. I also had a belief that the unknown is scary. I remember when my dad divorced my ex-stepmom when I was 15 years old, I remember feeling this uncertainty, this anxiety that came from, I could do anything now. I can have friends, I can watch TV, I can eat the kind of food that I want. It was a whole new world, but it felt scary. So I kept attracting women into my life that tried to control me. It is crazy how we will replay the same childhood trauma over and over again because we are attached to it because it feels familiar until we become aware of it and let it go. But remember, I can't attract in a feminine person that actually loves me and is nurturing towards me if I believe that all women are trying to control me and are manipulative like my ex-stepmom was. I had to let that go to then let in. I had to let go of the 9 to 5 job going, Aaron. I worked a 9 to 5 job for 10 years, almost 8 to 10 years selling women's shoes. And there was comfort that came with that. I knew I didn't want to be there. I knew I wanted to be on YouTube, but it felt scary to get on YouTube, to put myself out there. So what happened? I stayed at that 9 to 5 job for way too long. But why? Why was I attached to that 9 to 5 job? You see these things right here, the reason. Reason, the past pain, why are we attached to past pain? Reason, reasoning, the belief system, the story in our mind. These are all things that keep us. We, why was I attached to we? There was reasoning, there was a meaning. When I smoked, immediately would change my state. So the reason I'm sharing this with you is that everything in life is fundamentally neutral, but we give things meaning and based on those meanings are the things that we're gonna stay attached to. And I'm here to tell you that if you want to Wire in a new version of you, a free version of you. You're going to have to let go of the old version of you and the old reasons you have about who you are. So you're gonna have to let go. I had to let go of the 9-to-5 job one, Aaron, the codependent little bitch Aaron. I had to let go of the version of Aaron that couldn't have boundaries. There's a version of me too that craved validation. I couldn't wait to tell you guys about the, look at the thing up there, the trophy, the validation. You see what I mean? That's what happens. And in a way it was kind of a good thing. I think that maybe in some ways some of these things can actually drive us, but if they're using us, then that's normally a negative thing. So maybe I got on YouTube back in 2017. I was so excited to be making videos and to not be in my 9 to 5 job after 6 months, but then I was craving validation. I was craving the YouTube plaque button. I dreamed about that fucker. You wanna know how long I dreamed about it? I dreamed about it for probably 2 years. I'm going to manifest the million, a million. Guess what? It feels pretty damn normal that it's here, but that's the way that it works in our reality. We don't experience or attract in things when we are attached to how amazing it would be if we got it, how exciting and fleeting it would be if we got it. By the time we get it, it's natural. By the time I started to make a lot of money, it was natural for me to make a lot of money. It wasn't on this great pedestal. It wasn't amazing. It was natural for my identity. Now, one of the things that we have to become aware of is that we have to become more flexible as to who our identity is. If you think that you are set, your identity is set from childhood and you can't change it, then guess what? It'll be hard to change. If you think that it is set because somebody told you something about yourself, if somebody ever doubted you or told you something about yourself, I think about like the movie Matilda. Well, Danny DeVito, I just watched him in Jumanji the other day, but Danny DeVito was in Matilda, right? He's telling Matilda, I am smart, you are dumb. He's like saying, I forget the whole bit, but can you imagine if she wired it in him? I'm dumb. I thought I was dumb when I was in school. I thought I was dumb up until sophomore year of high school. You want to know what switched everything? I let go of believing I was dumb. You want to know how I did that? I was in English class and one of the teachers did, we had this test and I did good on this English test. All of a sudden I realized everyone else got like a B or a C and I got an A on it, all of a sudden I started to see myself as smart because the teacher was like, oh Aaron, good job. You're one of the only ones that got an A. My identity is now that I'm smart. I had to let go. I let go of the old version of me that thought school was hard and all of a sudden school became easy. I graduated with like a 3.8 GPA. This is all it is, is letting go to let in. You can talk about thinking better thoughts and we can talk about, you know, putting our energy in different things, which I think is powerful. But the missing key for so many people is they haven't let go of the old version of themselves. And because they haven't let go, guess what happens? They, they under the surface is that subconscious mind. It's all about awareness. Now, how do we let go? How do we let go? Remember, attachment equals suffering. The thing that's blocking us is we haven't let go. We're remaining attached to the reasons. You have to first off become aware. The first step to letting go is awareness, becoming aware of these things. I realized that, you know, when I was in so many different areas of my life, like I realized that I was people pleasing because I wanted validation from other people. I was going so hard to make the YouTube, you know, trophy 'cause I wanted validation. I had trouble saying no and setting boundaries because of that. I had to let go of the value. I valued other people's validation over my own. I had to let go of craving that from other people and I had to start giving it to myself. How did I do that? This gets into a little bit deeper layer of this, but I had to release the shame that came from childhood. Many of us have shame. Shame means that we believe we're broken. There's an underlying belief that says, I'm broken. How could anyone ever love me? How could anyone ever love me for who I am, even if who I am gives tension. Because people pleasers do not like to make other people feel tension because they're empathic. So one of the main things for this whole thing is going to be letting go of past meaning, letting go of past belief systems, of past stories that are tied to our childhood. And when we let these things go and we realize that our parents' emotional unavailability growing up had nothing to do with us, Our parents' divorce growing up had nothing to do with us. We can stop identifying with and giving it the meaning that there's something broken within us. But the key to this is simply awareness. Can you guys comment below awareness and make sure you do it like really long because I said it like that. Awareness. So that's the name of the game here. When you become aware of these things you're attached to, you're going to let that shit go and you're going to be able to attract in other things. So much easier. Now, how can letting go be easy as fuck? You wanna know how letting go is easy? The only reason letting go is hard is because we believe that it is hard. We believe that our identity is sex. We believe that these reasons, these beliefs, these stories are reality, not just something we've chosen. You see? That's it. But letting go is extraordinarily easy. It's just that— and here's the other reason we're afraid to let go. We're afraid to let go because we believe if we let go of all of this, then we're going to lose everything in our life. We're not going to actually attract in what we want. If I let go of the outcome, then I'm not going to attract it. Furthest thing from the truth. By you letting go of the resistance and the attachment and the suffering, you're going to allow even more in than you can imagine. So many times in my life, I remember when I really wanted my YouTube channel to do well, I was focused on every video. And I was so attached to the outcome of like videos getting views and stuff. Eventually I was also caring what other people thought. One day I go in to make YouTube videos. Guess what I did? Guess what I did? I decided that in this moment I don't give a shit what other people think about me. I'm not going to care whether this video goes viral or not. I was in more free in my videos and I made a video on starseeds or some esoteric thing. And that took the channel to a whole nother level. So letting go is the key to letting in. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted a house that I'm moving into. I wanted something and the more I wanted it, the more I felt the lack and the more I was attached to the outcome, the less likely it was to happen. When I let go and I allowed the universe to bring it to me, that's when everything changed. But you might say, well, am I just saying just let go and sit on a couch? No. I'm saying let go of the old version of you that maybe was sitting on the couch, and then you'll feel naturally inspired and you'll have the confidence to take action, to apply for that job you've always wanted, to ask that guy or girl out, or gender-neutral person out, or whatever your cup of tea is. You see what I mean? This is all about awareness. Letting go is extraordinarily easy. It's just a choice. It's a choice to let go of the reasoning, the meaning, past meaning that comes from childhood stuff. That's it. Letting go is extraordinarily easy, but my life, the abundance I've created in my life has gone, has come from all completely letting go, letting go and wiring in. That's it. Let go, let in, let go, let in. Like this video if you want to let go and let in. 10 times more likely to let go and let in if you like this video. I'm just kidding. I'm not trying to guilt you guys into like liking the video. If you can like it, if you like it. But the key and the most powerful thing you can do for any of this is becoming aware of that. Now that's also the key to raising your vibrational state of consciousness. It's letting go. Your vibration is naturally high as fuck. The only reason you feel lower vibration the most, 'cause you're attached to shame, to guilt, to anger, to call positionalities, perspectives, to say I'm right. One of the dirtiest drug there is is the desire to be right. When you let that shit go, you become so powerful. So there is a meditation that will show you step by step how to raise your vibration, raise your dominant vibration permanently, and it will help you let go of all this stuff. It's completely free. Meditation recently got over a million views on YouTube. Click the link below. Listen to that meditation for 21 days. Let's all commit to it as well. Group energy dynamic put into it is so powerful. So with that being said, hope you guys liked this video. Let me know if you guys like the letting go series videos and I'll talk to you guys later. Peace, much love, and namaste.
