Magnetic Paradox: the less you TRY, the more you ARE

In this Instagram‑Live‑style monologue, Aaron Doughty explains the "magnetic paradox": the more you try to be magnetic, the more resistance you create, and the less magnetic you become. He argues that true magnetism arises from non‑attachment and living in the vibration of "being" rather than "doing" or trying. Doughty illustrates the concept with personal anecdotes about being recognized repeatedly in Austin after shifting his energetic field, and he describes how dropping protective judgments and barriers makes him more approachable. He introduces practical tools such as pure intention (distinguishing intention from attachment), the frame technique (creating safety in one’s own body to become naturally magnetic), and daily repetition to embed the new vibration. The talk also promotes upcoming live events in Austin and Los Angeles and an 11‑day free "Conscious Coaches Challenge" with Victor, which includes live coaching, breathwork, and meditations aimed at aspiring coaches. Throughout, he answers viewer questions about detaching from outcomes, recognizing when one is truly magnetic, and balancing engagement with non‑attachment. The overall message is that by letting go of the need for validation, focusing on who you are, and repeatedly practicing the new vibration, magnetism and synchronicities emerge effortlessly.

Why is it that the less you try to be magnetic, the more you will be magnetic? And why is it that the more you try to be magnetic, the less magnetic you are? Now, in this video, I'm gonna show you, we're gonna go deep on the shadow side of trying to be magnetic, and I'm gonna show you why non-attachment is the secret and the key. And when you are truly non-attached, you are in a completely different energy. You're in the energy of being that changes your life from the inside out. Instead of asking, how do I be magnetic? You won't be concerned with that at all because you'll naturally be being in this unattached, powerful energy. This is a video from an Instagram Live that I did. We hit on different aspects of it. I'm gonna show you also this crazy realization around why in the last 2 days alone, I've been recognized like 12 times here in Austin, not that I need it. I know that sounds like I'm bragging or some egotistical thing, but there's an energy shift that I made inside of my body that in the last 2 days has allowed me to meet so many more people. Not that I'm trying to, and I'm not trying, by the way, it's just naturally happening because of the energetic shift that I made. And in this video, in this Instagram Live, I share with you what that is. I show you how you can actually be not attached and how you could be in your own magnetic frame. We're gonna be talking about the vibration of being versus the vibration of doing and trying. And we're gonna be going deep into understanding how you can be in your own magnetic frame without needing to be magnetic. So with that being said, we'll go ahead and get into this video right now. Isn't it interesting that the less you try to be magnetic, the more magnetic you'll be? And that the more you try to be magnetic, the more resistance you add into your field, the more that you in a way are putting resistance into your field and then also putting out an energy that blocks you from being magnetic. So a better question to ask, I believe, than when people say, how do I be magnetic? You gotta first ask yourself the question, why do I even want to be magnetic? Because a better question to ask is what if being magnetic, you didn't care about, you weren't even attached to, you could care less about? That's magnetic. When you don't care either way, when you're not attached either way to what people think about you, it's a funny paradox. I want to make a new YouTube video called The Magnetic Paradox. The less you try, the more you are. And it's so true. When you're trying to be anything, you are adding in resistance and you are less being it. Like, if you think of the most magnetic person you know, think of it right now in your mind, the most magnetic person you know, someone you know, maybe it's even someone that is like, you know, somebody that maybe you, I don't know, some celebrity or something like that. Do you think that person is sitting there in their house going, I'm magnetic, I'm magnetic, I'm magnetic, I'm magnetic, doing affirmations? No, they're not. They're just being themselves. And isn't it interesting that the more you're detached from wanting other people's approval and validation, you don't care if you get it or not, that's also when it comes. Now, when I say that, it gets a little bit dangerous 'cause then people will hear that and they'll go, okay, so you're saying I need to not care about being magnetic and then I'll be more magnetic. No, that's still a tactic that's being used to get the needs met. Now, ultimately, what you wanna ask yourself is why do I want what I want? People that want to be magnetic, they may want approval, other people's validation, and they think that's what they want. They may want new opportunities and abundance to come into their life because then what? Then what would happen? What would happen if you had abundance in your life and new opportunities and new synchronicities? Would you then feel good enough? Would you then get all your needs met? And there's this kind of consciousness shift that's happening with the content that I share on YouTube and Instagram where I think it's less about trying to get things from reality, trying to manifest opportunities and synchronicities. And when you move into the vibration of being, You're not attached. It's more of an energy. So understand that life is reflecting back to you the energy that you're embodying, and the more you allow yourself to be the real you, the more you also give other people the opportunity to see and meet the real you because of the frequency you're putting out. Think of it, it is like energy. You attract, like attracts like. And what I'm saying is let go of trying to attract. Let the universe do its job. Your job is to be you, which is so, I know it's kind of cringy to hear because some of like the best dating advice you hear, that's the most common, what is it? What is it? Be yourself. And people hear that and they go, what do you mean? What does it mean, be myself? Be, it is, it's true. When you're being the real you and you're not attached to outcome, you're not attached to trying to get reality to meet your needs in that way, you're being the real you, that's the most magnetic version of you. But you can't try, you don't have to try to be that. It's more so about just letting go of what's not actually you. Does that make sense? If you have questions, go ahead and put it in the Q&A box below, um, and I'll answer some questions. I am here right now in Austin, Texas for a week. I run a live event starting tomorrow for 2 days. I'm running a VIP event out here, and then I go back to Austin. I'll be doing a a challenge with Victor for like 11 days. And then after that, I'm running a live event in Los Angeles. So that'll be coming soon. I'll have the links and everything for that soon. We're picking out a venue soon and we're gonna, we're getting the ball rolling. The challenge that's coming up on November 8th, that's an 11-day challenge for coaches or aspiring coaches that wanna learn a process they can use with their clients to feel empowered with their process of transformation. And it's basically showing people what both Victor and I have done over the last 5 to 8 years with tens of thousands of people through live events, live challenges, in-person events to help people get to the root of their core issues to transform. It's a free challenge. And if you respond, CCC, I'll send you the details. CCC, called the Conscious Coaches Challenge. It's free. and it includes live office hour coaching sessions. It includes breathwork, live meditations we'll be doing. It's gonna be awesome. But it starts on November 8th. It starts next Friday, not this Friday. What's today, Friday? In a week from today, CCC. Will the LA event be more in the Venice area? I don't know yet. I'm trying to decide. We'll see. I wanna see the, it'll depend on the venues that I see. We'll know soon. More information will be soon. Nice. Let me see if you put in Q&A. Let's see. So we have a question here that says, how do I perceive letting go of the attachment result to, let's say, have someone or something in your life to still— to, or have something in your life to still wanting to happen? So you can have a preference of something you intend to happen. Let's look at the difference between intention and attachment to outcome or trying, right? This is a way to neutralize the desire. This like little analogy here will make and can have a very powerful effect on you. It's called pure intention. Imagine that right now there's a quarter that's on the ground and there's a quarter on the ground and I say, okay, go pick up the quarter. And you say, Okay, and you pick up the quarter. Now, to pick up the quarter was most likely just an intention. It wasn't something that you had to hype yourself up for. You had to be like, I know I can pick up the quarter. I could pick up the quarter. I could pick up the quarter. I can bend down easily. I'm gonna imagine myself bending down to pick up the quarter. I know I can pick up the quarter. I'm worthy to pick up the quarter. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it. And then it's all hype up, right? And then you do it. And then, oh, I picked up the quarter. I knew I could do it. I'm finally worthy. Well, the interesting thing about picking up a quarter is it's just a neutral thing. But the meaning we put onto different things in our life is we give it more importance. We give it more meaning. We doubt ourselves. So it's not that you need to feel worthy enough to pick up the quarter. It's just that you gotta let go of the belief that attracting love, attracting abundance is any different energetically than attracting a quarter. Now in your mind you'll say, well, it is different, Aaron. One's a lot easier than the other. That lot easier than the other phrase is the reason there's blocks because there's more importance put onto attracting the relationship or attracting abundance. Does that make sense? They're all neutral things. Like everything in our reality is neutral except for the story that we infuse onto it. Now, the reason people have blocks with relationships is a lot of times there's an attachment to some type of block during childhood towards parents or towards connection. So there's more story there. So then that story gets picked up and gets brought into relationships in life. There's maybe those same limiting stories around abundance, around purpose, around meaning, and then people have blocks in those areas of their life. It's fundamentally a neutral thing. Like anything you want to attract into your life, there's a neutral perspective on it, but that's being infused with a whole bunch of story and meaning and importance. Does that make sense? So the thing too that'll answer this question is instead of focusing on the end result, doing things for an end result, if you focus on who you are being, you're then in the present moment. When you're in the present moment and you're being it because it's who you choose to be, that's when things align because you're not trying to rob and get something out of the present moment. You're being it 'cause it's who you are. When I started making videos in 2017, I was being it because it's who I chose to be. Every day I made a video because that was in alignment with the identity I chose to be. At first, there were blocks. What are the people gonna think? Am I credible to be making videos? Those come up naturally because it's your old ego that's on autopilot that's basically shedding this new reality. There's a buffer period, but then eventually, the more reps you put in, the more natural it becomes. And as it becomes natural, you then don't put it on a pedestal. Isn't that interesting? It's like, I was thinking about this the other day because the more live events that I do, the more natural it becomes and the less importance I give to it. So it's like it becomes this thing and then it's like I'm more free, I'm more in the energy of doing live events and just enjoying myself and then it's better content. It's no difference than YouTube. At first, making YouTube videos was cringey and hard because it was this unfamiliar thing. I'm looking into the camera. I'm like, I'm looking into a camera. This is so interesting. It's not a person. There's all these stories infused with it. But then eventually what happened is I did it. And then what happened after that? Oh, I did it again. Didn't something happen after that? I made the two videos and then I made another one. Oh wait, what happened after that? I put in another rep after that. And what happened after that? Oh, I did it again. Okay. And I just kept taking, I kept being that version of me. Why? Because it helped me escape my 9 to 5 reality. No, I did it because that's who I chose to be. So remember exactly, the more reps you put in, the more equal and the more unimportant these things become because it's just who you are. The more live events I do, the more natural it becomes, the more I just look forward to them And the less nerves there are, the more I show up on stage, the more I'm myself, the better the content is. One of the reasons I'm deciding to do 2-day live events instead of 1-day live events to get content is because by the second day, a lot of times I'm just more in a massive flow state so that the content's better. Also, it's more natural. It's the more, I know the more state, the more I do anything, the better I get at it. So the question is, how can I, do more, so I'm doing a live event this weekend, doing a live event next month, doing other, you know, doing 2-day live events just where basically wherever and whenever I feel like it. And the benefit of that is I'm in a different, I'm in the being vibration. Does that make sense? But I'm not doing it because it's gonna get me to my dream reality. I'm being, I like literally enjoy it. But remember, the more reps you put in, the more natural it becomes. Yeah, put the awareness in your body right now too. Sometimes I realize with the content that I make, there's benefit in the space in between the words. Sometimes on social media, it's like, I gotta fill all the silence. I'm going in a little bit to a hyperbaric chamber. I love hyperbaric chamber. Do it a couple times a week. It's just basically a chamber full of 100% oxygen, and it's pressurized to where it's almost like the pressure is like as if you're underwater, and all that oxygen gets into all the different parts of your body, and then it just affects your brain. You feel super good. It's my natural high. So yeah, I'm gonna go do that, and then, uh, gonna go check up on the live event space, and then we do the live event tomorrow. So It's just the prep day today. Thank you, I look very wise today. You guys wanna hear something very interesting? Let me share with you an insight that I've had that I find very interesting. So this is gonna sound like I'm bragging, but I'm not. In the last 2 days, I have been recognized probably 12 to 15 times. Now, when I say that, it sounds like I'm bragging, but what I'm really saying is in the last, like, it's very, It's not normal that when I'm going to like many places, people recognize me from my videos as like all the time. Like literally I was in the airport when I was coming here like a day and a half ago, 2 days ago, and I was in line and like 2 or 3 people came up to me when I was in TSA 'cause they recognized me and it was really nice interaction. And then the people behind me were like, who are you? Like, why do people keep coming up to you? And I was like, oh, I do YouTube, blah, blah, blah. And then after that it just kept happening. Like it's, I don't know if it was in my energetic field that I was like, seen a lot of people that recognized me from my videos, but it was like, it just kept happening, kept happening. Then I got to Austin and I go to the store and I just, everywhere I was in the elevator at the hotel, just kept running into people. And what I realized is what changed about me is I changed my way of relating to people that watch my content. Now, what I mean by this is back when I first got on YouTube, I had some very interesting experiences. When people would find out, I remember one time I had a friend that posted that when we were at the gym and then someone showed up at the gym and it was like this, it was kind of honestly a weird situation because someone showed up that like spent their night in a car trying to meet me and they found out I was in like San Diego. So they drove down from LA and they slept in their car. And then once somebody, once my friend posted where we were at, they just showed up. And it was like this weird thing where like I had to tell the person to leave because they wouldn't leave. And it was like they thought I was their twin flame soulmate thing. It was just weird in a situation. But I realized that there was this negative belief and like association to like me feeling like I had to protect my energy or that I had to like deal with a certain type of energy. Now here's the thing, 99.9% of my audience is freaking epic. The people that I meet in public are super cool, super easy to be around, not demanding too much from me. But that, there was a couple situations from back like 4 or 5 years ago when I first got on YouTube where I developed this like barrier protection mechanism that I think what happened is I became kind of, in a way, in a, what do you call it? Like not as approachable because I was kind of like, I don't wanna deal with like people coming up to me and having to deal with that energy of like somebody that's like projecting their stuff onto me like that. Now what's happened, what happened over the last like couple weeks is I realized that that's not actually, that's like, there's that subconscious fear there as I've been processing that out of my field and realizing it's extremely rare, that kind of person, there's less protective mechanism up. And because there's less protective, I've stopped judging in a way subscribers thinking that that's how they are. Does that make sense? So I had one or two experience, I've had a few experiences that were kind of intense like that. And then it was like, oh, I need to have a barrier up. I need to like protect my energy. But what I'm realizing now is I don't need to like, I don't need to have that kind of that energy. And 99.9% of everyone I meet is epic and awesome. And it's almost like as I stop judging other people and assuming and projecting onto people that there's this, that kind of energy, in the last 2 days, it's been like one person after, it's all awesome people that I meet. And I'm like, why is it happening? Like, did I have like certain videos go viral that I'm not aware of? Why all of a sudden, like imagine, and like, again, I'm not saying this to brag, but imagine like in an average week it recognized a certain number of times, but then imagine 12 times in like a day and a half. It's like, why is this happening? But what happens I think is that my energy is shifting where I'm no longer in like a protective mechanism of like needing to like worry about that kind of energy of like the ungrounded person that's like projecting that I'm their soulmate or whatever onto me. And because that I'm not worried about that and I know that I'm good, it's like now I don't know if I'm more approachable. I don't know what it is. It's very interesting. Or maybe it's just synchronicity. It's just sometimes it happens like that. Like, here's the thing, when it comes to meeting people, I don't need to meet people to feel validated or worthy or to feel like I'm making a difference in the world. Like, there are people that kind of get off on like being recognized. I think people recognize them and they're like, I'm worthy, I'm whole and complete. I'm not like that. I don't, I could care either way. However, what I realized is back in the day, even just more recently, I actually had a barrier up where I was like, I don't want this because subconsciously, what if there's somebody that's like projecting stuff onto me? And what I realized recently is that also like I put up this protective mechanism and it's not actually true. Like 99.9% of the people I meet are awesome. It's just that one-off thing. So what I'm realizing is as I've dropped my subconscious judgments about other people and even about people in my audience, it's like I keep meeting more and more people that are just epic, that are awesome. So there's like some type of shift and I don't know exactly what it is. It's also, I remember like, this is a little more esoteric, but like Vedic astrology, I know I'm moving into what's called the new dasha where my things, I think the things I'm doing are gonna be taken to the next level. But it's interesting to me that in the last 2 days of being here, there's been all of those awesome interactions, but it's like, I'm like, did something shift? Like, what's going on? But I think what's also shifting is my energy is shifting because I'm less having a block up and I'm judging less. So the way that you can apply this is, I told this to a friend of mine recently, if you have blocks around men or women and maybe there's a subconscious judgment there, maybe there's a judgment because there was a judgment towards mom or dad, but now that's being projected out against other people and you feel blocked because literally there's a subconscious judgment that's blocking that from coming into your life. Does that make sense? So it's almost like if you want connection, you'll have to drop the judgments. The judgment's there to protect you, but really that judgment is also keeping connection from coming into your life. Does that make sense? 'Cause it's in your field. Like whatever judgment you have towards mom and dad is judgments that you might have towards the masculine and feminine. It's in your field. So you just like, no, no, no, that judgment is like, but it was true. Well, that true projection now may be actually blocking things and people from coming into your life. Do you see? That's how you can apply it. I know it's like, it's a funny thing for me to talk about, but it's, I was talking about it to my friend Victor yesterday, 'cause I'm like, what is it? Like, why in the last 2 days? But it's like my energy's also shifted. Like I don't, I'm much more accepting and I think my energy's also more open. I don't know what it is exactly. Yeah, whatever judgments you have are inside of your energy field and those get projected onto other people in your life. So anyways, yeah, that's that. Um, let's see. Is it possibly too unattached? You know, it's an interesting balance between you still wanna be engaged. Engaged means you're taking action. Engaged means you're being this version of you because it's who you choose to be, not 'cause of what it gets you. But when I say unattached and non-attached, I mean not attached to outcome, not attached to outcome, not attached to trying to force things to happen. But some of you, maybe the taking the action is the thing that you can develop the willpower to do, but you can take action without being attached to the outcome results. Does that make sense? Nice. I hear so many people talk about the frame technique. Like when I— that's one thing when I do meet people in public that recognize me from my videos, the thing I hear the most often is how the frame technique has transformed people's lives. The frame technique is where you feel the separation between you and an object, you and another person. And feel, start to feel safe in your own body. And it's like such a simple process, but it helps you be more magnetic, but you're not doing it to be magnetic. You're doing it to feel safe in your own body. And then you don't need to be magnetic and then you're more magnetic. Isn't that a paradox? You're more magnetic the less you care about being magnetic. The less attached you are to outcome, the more magnetic you are. You say, how do I detach from the outcome? How do you develop a trust within yourself that things are working out the way they should be or they can be? How do you let go of outcome but focus on being? I remember one of the blocks I had when I first got on YouTube, some of it was around feeling worthy. Some of it was around just owning my voice. I remember for a long time on YouTube, I felt like, like, who am I to be making videos? I learned all these ideas. I even had a block in the beginning. One of the quickest ways for me to go full-time back in 2017 was to get coaching clients. But here I am basically making YouTube videos on cool concepts I learned. But I felt like when it came to coaching clients, I was like, okay, 'cause someone told me you just have to get like 6 coaching clients paying you this amount per month, and then your bills are paid and you quit your job. And I remember I was like, how do I actually, like, what questions do I ask in coaching? How do I hold space for people? Like, what am I actually, I thought it was like some advice I'm supposed to give to help people. And eventually what I realized is a lot of it was just about the trust that you create with other people. People watch my videos, they come to my live events, and they feel a certain level of trust, so their guards come down so that when they're in meditation processes, they have these big breakthroughs. 90% of transformation, I believe, is the trust that you create create that allows people's walls to come down. Same with coaching, but I had to shift out of those beliefs. And, um, that's the, the coaching challenge that we're doing next Friday. We'll go deeper on all of this, by the way. So if you are a coach or an aspiring coach and you want to go full-time with your purpose, but you want to learn how do I actually help people get results, how do I ask certain questions that get people to come to their own realizations versus me giving them advice so that you don't create a codependent relationship with your clients. A lot of people feel the call to like be a coach or to be adding value to other people in the world, but they don't know how to do that. That's why Victor and I have spent the last couple weeks creating this free 11-day challenge that will help you to learn how you can tap into your ability as a coach. Many of you probably also, by the way, are probably the friend in the friend group that everyone comes to for advice. Am I right? Or what if you were able to have a process that you felt confident in to help people really go deep? That's what we'll be doing in the Conscious Coaches Challenge, shifting into the identity of a coach, but also being a coach, having a process that you can use to help get your clients amazing results. So if you are a coach or an aspiring coach and you want to join an 11-day process that begins next Friday on November 8th, including live coaching, breathwork, different modalities and practices we're going to show you, then comment CCC for the Conscious Coaches Challenge. CCC, I'll send you the deets. There is an application, it's a quick process, then you're in. Yeah, nice, a few of you are already in it, but CCC and I'll say the deets. All right, in a minute I'm gonna have to go eat because then I'm going to the hyperbaric chamber for 90 minutes, and then after that going to the gym, going to check up on the event space Relaxing, chilling out, and then tomorrow's the live event. And it's funny, the bet— you know what I realized too is the best live event footage that I get is when it's all in the moment and there's nothing prepared. Like when I go live here on Instagram, the best lives I do is when I don't have anything prepared, because in the moment there's this unknown certainty that pulls out information that's better than whenever I can pre-plan. Most of the magic happens in the unknown. Hyperbaric chamber, yeah, that's what it's called. Let's see. If you aren't overreacting for magnetism, how do you know if it's attained? That's a great question. So basically, how do you know if you let go and are not attached to being magnetic? How do you know that you're being magnetic? When you no longer have to ask yourself the question, 'am I magnetic?' When you're not wondering, 'Am I magnetic?' When you're not trying to be magnetic, when you don't, when you're unattached, you're not trying to be unattached so that you become magnetic. It's when you realize that being magnetic was just a survival, is a mechanism to get your needs met because there's some form of wanting connection, validation, or approval. And when you let go of needing to manipulate reality to meet your needs, you'll naturally be in the flow of the universe, of God, and then these things naturally come to you, but you don't you don't need it for that reason. So there's magnetic energy that comes when you don't, it's like the more you don't care about being magnetic, the more magnetic you'll be. And it's the more you realize like you don't need what you thought you needed by being magnetic. So like when I say freedom is the ability to be disliked, it's like when you don't care whether you're liked or not because you like you, ironically you'll be more magnetic and more people will like you. But you're not asking yourself, well, If you're detached from caring what people think, you're not like checking in all the time to make sure. You're like, if you really don't care, you really don't care. And that comes from like being in your own frame of reality and knowing who you are. Does that make sense? So anyways, if you want me to do more of these lives, let me know. I know coming live today, I know like last night it was getting nutty here in Austin. I was walking the streets, people were in masks, and like outfits and stuff and I was just going for a walk. I will say I miss being back in California and going for my nightly bike rides. I normally go for an hour and a half bike ride a night on the boardwalk with like the ocean breeze and I love that. Even if it's windy, cloudy, I don't care, I love it. Here it is a little different because I'm going for walks but like I'm trying to find bikes that I can just ride regular bikes around the city and all the bikes are e-bikes or Birds, like these little electric scooters. And I like, I wanna ride a bike. I like riding bikes. So yeah, missing that with California, I will say that. But I'll maybe find it. Maybe I'll go to a bike rental place and just rent a bike for a couple days. I have a rental car, but like, I just want a bike. I just like riding bikes. Anyways, random. Anyways, hope you guys have a great day. If you want to join that challenge that's coming up next week, it's free Conscious Coaches Challenge. If you want to learn how to coach, how to get your clients amazing results, or how to be a coach in general and remove the blocks to that, you could join by responding CCC Other than that, I think that's it. See you in the next one. As always, peace, much love, and namaste. So also, you may have heard me talking a few times in this video about that of the Conscious Coaches Challenge with it saying CCC. That's for— I was for Instagram. So if you do want to join it, it's completely free. It's coming up soon. And what you can do is you can go ahead and click the link below to join. And it's starting on Friday, so it's starting very soon. Hope to see you on the inside if that resonates with you. And as always, see you in the next one. Peace, much love, namaste.
