Money Will Come To You After Doing This "Attraction Technique

In this 90‑minute self‑help talk, Aaron Doughty argues that the reason many people struggle with money is that they focus on wanting money rather than creating value. He reframes money as a neutral form of energy and an exchange of value, likening it to a tribe’s barter system and using the "blueberries" metaphor. Doughty explains that true abundance comes from aligning with one’s passion, adding value to others, and loving the process instead of obsessing over outcomes. He explores common money‑related belief blocks—spiritual stigma, guilt from family conditioning, and the tendency to pedestal‑place money—and shows how neutralizing these beliefs frees the flow of wealth. Drawing on his own transition from a 9‑to‑5 sales job to a self‑directed creator, he emphasizes the need to become one’s own inner authority, adopt a new identity, and take concrete actions (learning skills, producing content, leading oneself). The talk concludes with a call to join a 21‑day "New You" challenge and a meditation designed to raise vibration and attract abundance.

Have you ever noticed that the people that want money the most lack money the most? The people that naturally have all the money aren't people that necessarily focus on it, which is funny because what we believe is that where focus goes is where energy goes. But there's a very big difference between focusing on wanting and then focusing on having. They're two completely different vibrations. I didn't become abundant until I understood this concept. And in this video, I want to show you how you can completely revolutionize the way that you look at money and abundance, reframe it so that you can be more abundant than ever in the next 90 days. Now I say that as coming all, even though I have long hair, even though I probably look like you know, I've got this little beard going on here. You might look and be like, oh, does this dude really know what he's talking about? Well, you know what? I used to work a 9-to-5 sales job, in case you haven't watched my channel before and I haven't said it and you didn't know about it, but I used to work a 9-to-5 sales job where I had to wear a suit. I had to look very presentable. I had to carry myself in a certain way selling women's shoes. And I was told a lot, this is what you can, this is what you can't do. And when I started working for myself and I became abundant, I said, I'm gonna do what I wanna do. And I wanted to grow out my hair. I wanted to grow out a beard sometimes. Sometimes I don't have a beard. I got tattoos and stuff. I live life on my terms and I live in freedom because I get to choose my own rules because I've become abundant, okay? And a lot of that has come as a result of what I'm about to share with you in this video. Now, there's also, I think a lot of times a stigma around being what is called You could call it, it sounds egotistical to say, but like a spiritual millionaire, someone that is spiritual that is also very abundant. So that is something that you can be and not feel guilty even though there's this big stigma around this type of energy. But I wanna show you how to completely shift that because it's coming from a misinterpretation of what abundance is. It's coming from a misinterpretation of what money is. And it's keeping people stuck, blocked. It's keeping people out of self-righteousness, living in very poor circumstances, not living up to their full potential because they're afraid of what money even is, or they're even just creating their own blocks. Now, first off, I was on Instagram yesterday, 2 days ago, and I was doing an Instagram Live and somebody asked me, they said, I really make money important and I really want it, How can I attract it even though I don't currently have it? Here's what I said. Attracting money is a funny idea because what we're doing is from inner field, we're trying to attract something into our life, but it comes with this misperception of what money actually is. Money is a reflection and an exchange of energy. That's what money is. Money is energy. Exists in our reality as a medium of exchange, an exchange more importantly of value. Now what that means is back in the days, what we would do is we would barter, meaning we would trade things. So if we lived in a tribe, you'd be like, yo, I can, uh, I, those furs over there, The blueberries over there, the food, the clothes. We trade based on what people's— the way they would add value to the collective. So if you think about it, so what might happen is you might be like, you know what, I'm really good at knitting sweaters. I'm going to knit this sweater that's going to keep people super warm, and then I'm going to exchange that for hunting tools, berry picking tools or something. For the people that are like, I can't believe you said hunting. I thought it— What you can do though is realize that it's an exchange. Now what happens in today's society when it comes to money, which is just the exchange of value in this society, is people focus just on the receiving of the money. So basically what I told this person when I was coaching them or coaching the concept is first off, anything you put importance, you put on a pedestal. And you say it's not natural for your identity, that's one, you don't wanna do that. You wanna let it be natural for your identity and resistance, oh my God, that'd be so amazing, money is so important. Here's the thing, money's neutral. So you get spiritual people that say money is bad, which will repel it away from you. And then you get people that don't see it as natural for them to have, so they say money is amazing, incredible, and I really wish I had it, which they also energetically deplatform it from their life. So with that being said, when you think about someone that's saying, I want, I want money, think about it in the form of like back in the tribe days. I want blueberries. Give me blueberries. I want blueberries. Aaron, can you show me how to attract blueberries? Please show me how can I vibrationally attract blueberries if blueberries aren't currently in my life experience? How do I attract the blueberries? I really want blueberries. And then what I do, being some type of like tribesperson, I say, no, no, no, that is not how you attract blueberries. Let's look at the way it works. The way it works is you want blueberries, but what happens is blueberries come as a form of exchange for something else that you give in value. So what happens is people that wanna attract money, first off, they don't even realize it, but they're like, money is bad. I don't want money 'cause I'm spiritual. So if I had money, and we're gonna talk about that here in a minute, it'll completely change the way that you relate to it. But when you see money as this thing, instead of focusing on the money, instead of focusing on the blueberries, focus on what you can give, what value you can provide that you're passionate about It's like you can enjoy, your passion might be sewing sweaters or something, but then you give it and then you get a lot of blueberries. But that's the problem with most people trying to attract blueberries or money is they want the money, they want the thing outside of them, but it's just, it's a symbol and your focus is on the wrong symbol. When you put the focus on instead what the money comes as an exchange of, you will have a lot more power. You will then have energy going in a new direction. When I started focusing on making YouTube videos, I was making YouTube videos and I was adding value. I was passionate about it. So it's a mix of doing something you're in alignment with that sparks you up, that also adds value to the collective, the value to other people. And what happens is as you are putting that energy out there, money, which is just an exchange of energy, comes back to you. The more value I am able to provide other people, the more abundance comes to me. That's just how reality works. Even if you look on Shark Tank, if you look on Shark Tank, where people come and they pitch their business ideas to all these sharks that, have a whole bunch of money to invest in companies, the companies that do the best are the companies that add the most value. Now you say, well, some of those companies have sugary drinks and stuff like that. That's not value. It is perceived value regardless. It's like it's some form of value in the marketplace, but the perceived value, even if it's a quick wing of a sugary high, it tastes good or something, that still to certain people in society adds value to them. So looking at it like this really allows you to start to rewire the, you wanna become abundant, that's one thing that must be necessary. People that are very abundant that make a lot of money, what they have, what they all do is they focus on the value that comes as, they focus on the value they wanna put out and how they can do that better which then gets in more of the abundance. So a lot of times they might be focused on, let's say it's like even in my industry, for example, it would be like someone that's a coach, for example. Instead of focusing on the money that you wanna get, focus on the coaching and the value you wanna add via your coaching. And what'll happen is it'll come as a natural result or focus on the value you're putting out with the content you're making it will come more as a result. I remember working that 9 to 5 job selling women's shoes. If I went into work every day focused on how can I get money, how can I, I had a commission sales job selling women's shoes. I only got paid a percentage of what I sold. So if what I did is I went in and my focus was how can I make $4,000 worth of shoes today so that I make like, I don't know, What is that? $300 of commission. How can I do that? And then every customer I helped, I'm thinking, are you gonna add to my paycheck? Are you gonna buy a shoe? Are you gonna buy a shoe? It's an energy of taking. It's like walking around going, I want blueberries, I want blueberries, someone gimme blueberries, someone gimme blueberries, instead of having the attention instead on the adding of value. When I went into work with the intention of adding value to the people, It was a completely different energy. When I had the intention of adding value, even with emotions, enjoying talking to the people, actually connecting with the people, I would do even better than if I were focused on that of the outcome. So that's the first thing that we'll talk about, that we're talking about here is really focusing more on the process if you're Canadian or process if you're American or from anywhere else or whatever language an accent you have, versus the end result. The process versus the end result. If you become in love with the process, you'll have way more power than if it's just an attachment to the end result. That's why it's important to do something you feel in alignment with. There's more juice there. Now, let's talk for a minute about the money beliefs in general. Now, imagine money, this completely shifted my perspective of money and allowed me to become more abundant than anything. Imagine money, money. Imagine money is a person. Okay? Your relationship with this person named money. What is your relationship with that person? Now imagine you have all these mixed beliefs about that person and maybe that mixed belief came from mom and dad growing up where you were led to believe money is bad. So here you are subconsciously. I want money, but money is bad. I want money, but money is bad. Energetically, it's literally like judging that of this person, this metaphorical person. Now, do you think money's gonna wanna be around you if when you, here's the thing, if you glorify money, it's also unattractive. That's why it's good to think of it like this example. Remember, if you put someone on a pedestal and you treat them like a celebrity, they're gonna treat you like a fan. If you give money all this importance, you say, you're amazing money, you're the best thing ever, you're gonna be the key to my happiness, and you put it on this pedestal, it's also unattractive energetically. You wanna let it be natural. Let it be natural. I'll tell you from experience of becoming successful, of focusing on the process, or process is that as I did that, it became more and more natural for me to be making that abundance. And then it was funny because all the thoughts that I had about becoming wealthy are completely, are very different. It feels very normal. Money is, especially once you make a certain amount of money, they say once you make like $70,000 worth a year of money, your lifestyle will shift. But after that, it doesn't shift that much. And I found that to be generally kind of true. Because you can be happy and you have all your base necessities made. That's like a big majority of it. And I always tell people, the biggest shift you will ever make in your life is not from going from making, let's say, $50,000 a year to $1 million a year. Your biggest shift ever is when you go from trading your time for money to working for yourself and doing it on your terms. When I quit my job in 2017 and I could eat lunch when I wanted to eat lunch and I could make videos when I wanted to make videos, even though I was making just about the same amount I made at my job the first year. I think I quit and I made maybe like $50,000, $60,000 a year at my 9-to-5 job. And I made like $50,000, $60,000 a year back in 2017 when I first was going on YouTube 'cause I was figuring the whole thing out. But nonetheless, it completely, I had my time back, I had my energy back. Now let's say, and let's go back to this example, you look at money and you think you're bad. Or you think you're amazing. I put you on a pedestal. You're so incredible and I really, really want you. And I really, really want you. How is money going to respond to you? Ugh, disgusting. This person really, really wants me. It's an energetic component of reality. Money is not good or bad. It just is. Now, becoming aware of your beliefs is a big part of the process, or process if you're Canadian. The idea is, What is your beliefs about money? What do you believe about money? Now here's another one. It can't be spiritual. A lot of people may be spiritual and they're like, I can't be spiritual and have money, but that's so ridiculous. Why? Because everything in life is spiritual. We label you are spiritual, you are not spiritual. Everyone is an eternal spiritual being living a temporary human experience. They may not agree with that or they may think, may not, may not be aware that that they're a spiritual being, but doesn't mean they're less spiritual. They just maybe don't, I mean, what is a spiritual person? Is it someone with crystals that's like meditating with sage? Does that make someone spiritual? At the fundamental core, I believe we're all spiritual beings having temporary human experiences. And what happens though is we start labeling things and giving it rules to things based on what the meaning we give it. Now, for example, we have something like, Pepsi, which will sell to you literally a drink, carbonated drink with corn syrup in it. That drink enough is so, and it's so unhealthy. Maybe that's my projection, my belief system, but nonetheless, something that corn syrup eventually causes acidity in the body can eventually cause whole whole bunch of bad stuff health-wise. Now, if I were to ask you, say, do you think it is, is it wrong for Pepsi just to sell a drink, a container? You go to 7-Eleven or something and they're selling drinks. Most people would say, oh, that's just, that's what happens. That's what companies do. They sell their drinks. Whether it has corn syrup in it or whatever, it's like, that's, I see why you would have a physical thing and you would trade it for money. That's okay. That's just how the world works. But then you have somebody that has maybe some form of spiritual passion. Maybe their spiritual passion, or maybe what they do is they like to share ideas, kind of like I do on YouTube or something like that. Or they like making some type of like jewelry or something, or creating like amazing art. Or they're healers or whatever, anything to do. If someone identifies as spiritual, they may have something they're passionate about. But then what happens is they, okay, what if you exchange the energy for that? And then people would say, no, you cannot charge for something that's spiritual like that, that's bad. But there's no problem with the whole. So what a lot of people do is they hold back their gifts They hold back from actually expressing themselves in the world and adding value to other people because they believe it's bad to do so because they believe it is a spiritual thing that needs to be put in a completely separate category rather than Pepsi or Coca-Cola, which is selling corn syrup to people. So it's an interesting perspective that is just self-inflicted from our past reference experience and beliefs. And if we see rich people, some people grow up seeing rich people as bad, they go, well, I don't wanna be bad. So I don't want money. It's a subconscious self-sabotage thing. But remember, all of this stuff is neutral. Even think of guilt. Remember looking into like ancestral energies and there was this one concept that had to do with the guilt of what are called hidden loyalties. Imagine your mom or your dad or something like that only made a certain amount of money and then you wanna like, put out your passion in the world and be abundant, but then subconsciously there may be some type of guilt. Like if I become more successful than mom or dad, then maybe I will, doing them a disservice or I am making them feel small. I know a lot of times that can happen. I have friends who with their family, what happens is they feel like when they see their family sometimes, it's like their family almost thinks it's like unnecessary to let like the kind of house that they live in or something like that. Or it brings up like that maybe they work 9 to 5 jobs their whole life and it brings up like, you know, their beliefs get like projected onto that. I know with my own dad, it was always kind of like, he'd always tell me like, oh, and one day if it doesn't work out, you can always go back to your old 9 to 5 job. "Even after I was like successful for years." And I'm like, what are you talking about? The person I have become is someone that can't, I'm not gonna go back to some 9 to 5 job. I know too much now. Once you know, once you've done something and you put your energy into something and your self-image changes, you look back and you're like, I couldn't ever do that again because the person I'd become is someone that just, I know I could put my energy into many different things to be abundant because I understand how this all works. Now I will say that when it came to being abundant, one thing that I had to do is I had to start to see myself as a new version of myself. And what that meant is in that 9 to 5 job, what was natural for me was to be told what to do. It was natural for me to go into a job that I didn't really care to go into. It was natural for me to like have a certain schedule that I had to work and what I, and it was natural for me to have a boss telling me what to do. But eventually what I did is I realized that to become this new abundant version of me, what I had to do is I had to become my own boss. I had to motivate myself. No one was gonna be over myself going, Aaron, you need to make a video today. You need to do this today. Nobody was doing that even though they were doing it at the 9 to 5 job and I resisted it. But one of the things to become aware of is who do you need to become to be this abundant version of you. And for me, that meant becoming more of a leader. That meant putting myself out there. That meant moving through the fear. That meant expressing myself more. That meant not making excuses. That meant learning the skills instead of making the excuses. So I had to learn how to edit and things like that. To become this new version of you that you are on the brink of being, it is necessary for you to start. And to stop waiting and to stop telling yourself a story that now's not the time and to stop waiting for the outer authority to tell someone to tell you you're good enough to go for it. It's what I did for years. I was waiting for someone to tell me, Aaron, you're good enough, go for it. Hoping I'd meet Tony Robbins or some motivational speaker while I'm selling woman's shoes at Barneys New York and they're gonna say, Aaron, you're good, just go for it. And I'd be like, okay, I'll give myself permission to go for it. I had to be my own inner authority. But you know, we grow up looking to authority for permission. We grow up and we'll be told maybe when we're young, kids are meant to be seen and not heard. Be quiet at the dinner table. Then we go to school and you're told to shut up and listen to the teacher and you just sit there. And if you don't just sit there, then you have ADHD and there's something wrong with you. Just obey. And what happens is then you're waiting for permission to go to a bathroom. You're waiting for permission to go out, you know, to leave school for the day. We wait for permission for everything. And then we get 9 to 5 jobs and then we wanna go full-time with our passion. We wanna give ourselves permission, but we're not used to that inner permission. We're used to the external permission. But one big shift that has to happen for you to become abundant is to understand that you must be the one to give yourself permission. Per mission, per your own mission, you must choose it. Let it be a mission for you to purr your way to success. Okay, that was cheesy, I know, but regardless, you have to become your own inner authority. And when you become your own inner authority, you will become the author of your life. Authority, author. Most people are waiting for external authority to author their life. It is time to choose your own path, to make a choice about who you are, to start to understand that the way reality works is the more you allow the divine to flow through you with the intention of adding value in alignment with your passion, in alignment with just who you prefer to be, you will notice you get a different result in reality. Now remember, when it comes to this whole entire process, or process if you're Canadian. Remember, what this is all about is understanding that what you put out is what you get back. So if you want more money or blueberries in the example we used earlier, don't sit there going, I want blueberries, blueberries, blueberries, give me blueberries. I want to become good at receiving blueberries. I just really want blueberries. I want blueberries. I'm giving me blue instead. It's what are you going to, what value or energy you're going to put out? Focus on that. And then blueberries will naturally come as a result of that energy field. Now, money's not bad. Money is not really, really good on a pedestal. It's a neutral idea. And everything in our reality is spiritual because we're spiritual beings living in a temporary illusionary reality. This is an illusion. So you say money is not spiritual. So imagine yourself laying in a tub with crystals And you're looking at the crystals, and you're so spiritual. Crystal rose quartz, you beautiful smoky, smoky quartz. Oh, you're so spiritual. But then what happens on this side? There's money, and you're like, I love you crystals, but money? Yeah, get that out of this tub. It's dirty. It's negative connotation. Get out. Get out. Out and you kick out the money. At the fundamental core, they're both neutral things that we're just giving different meaning to. But having that energy towards money, it's dirty, it's bad, it's nasty, is you're not going to attract it into your life in the same way. But remember, it's not about being like, oh my God, you're so amazing crystals. Oh my God, he's making out with the $100 bills. I'm not saying to glorify it, I'm just saying neutralize the negative connotation that goes with it. I become more abundant than I even imagined like 5 or 6 years ago, and I imagined a lot. So basically what I'm saying though is like by changing these perspectives in this way that I relate to it, I've allowed it to come into my life even easier. And what's funny is I don't really focus on it that much. I don't. It just happens. It just comes. I focus on the value I put out in the world and I focus on aligning with that purpose. And then it comes as a reflection. And it's funny because I know some people that focus a lot on money and they resist it a lot more because they're focusing so much on it. It's like they're beating the drum of the resistance. So if you wanna become more abundant, what you have to do is look at how you relate to abundance, how you relate to money. Also realize money is not the only form of abundance. You could be abundant in opportunities. You could be abundant in many different things other than money. People could give you things. You could be gifted a trip. Remember when I first got on YouTube, I was invited to a place in Costa Rica, $5,000 value, to do this trip thing and just to vlog my experience of it. That was abundance even though I'm like, this isn't actual dollars, they're not giving me dollars. I got a $5,000 trip for free. Stop limiting yourself based on it's only money that can come into my life. Now, one thing we're going to be doing very soon is a 21-day New You Challenge. It starts on 1/11, which is January 11th. If you want to join, now is the time to join, and we're gonna go through 21 days of transformation for becoming a new version of you. We will be looking at money belief, love beliefs. We'll be looking at our identity, releasing the patterns of the past that are keeping us in familial familiar childhood pattern dynamics. We're going to look at stepping into the unknown, starting, letting go of imposter syndrome, procrastination, perfectionism, self-sabotage, all of these. And if you want to join where we do live coaching, we're going to be doing that of live meditations, breathwork, everything. Uh, go ahead and click the link on top of my description box below. And then other than that, if you do want that of a meditation that will help you to raise your dominant vibration, that will help you to then become more of a magnet to money, I'll go ahead and link this meditation right here.
