My Morning Routine for Raising my Vibration INSTANTLY (Step-by-Step)

Aaron Doughty shares his morning routine for maintaining high energy: meditation with a candle flame the night before and again upon waking, a cold shower to shock the nervous system, then creative work, barefoot grounding, and intermittent fasting. He emphasizes the first 30 minutes after waking as crucial for reprogramming your subconscious.

This video, I'm going to take you with me and I'm going to show you my morning routine, exactly what I do to remain in a high vibration so that you can do the same. Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now before we even begin this video, because I'm going to do some stuff I've never done before where I actually just take you along and show you kind of what my daily life is like and how I remain in a high vibration. I say and believe that the day begins actually at nighttime. I know that's kind of weird, but the idea is that what you do when you fall asleep at night and how you set your day up to where when you fall asleep, when you're setting the intentions for the next day, that's when your day actually starts. That has a huge factor to do with my days. So what I'm gonna do real quick is I filmed a little bit last night. And then we're gonna come back and I'll show you what I do during the day. So yeah. Well, you might be asking yourself, this is supposed to be a morning routine video, but yet it's kind of dark right now. Well, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna actually show you my morning routine tomorrow. I'm gonna show you everything I do. I'm not just gonna show you, I'm gonna take you along with me. However, what I just realized is as I'm writing this down, what I do every night before I go to bed is what sets my mornings up for so much success, for me to be in the proper state for me to get everything done. So I'm gonna show you more about that in the morning. But it actually starts right here. So let me kind of show you. So the first thing I do is I write down— this is my iPad and I have this little Apple Pencil thing here. But what I do is look, my high vibrational morning routine, exactly what I do every day. It's a title. The title of this video— whoops— is right here. They do it. Yeah. The title of this video is right here and this is exactly what the title is going to be. And I'm going to, um, what I do is I write down some of the different things that I'm going to, like 5 ideas from the day. And then I write down the top 3 things that I'm going to do tomorrow, which is, um, some things I have to do for the upcoming shift experience. Um, I have to make an MP3, I have to film 1 to 2 videos. Um, and what I do is I write down my videos right before I go to bed. The benefit of that is when I wake up in the morning, my subconscious mind is primed and ready to go because when I get up, I'm I mean, I'll show you a little bit more tomorrow, so I don't want to get too far ahead of myself. But what happens is, is, um, my mind is primed as I'm going to bed tonight. So actually, let me show you, you know what, I wasn't going to show you this, but every night before I go to bed, I believe that our morning routine actually starts at night because we prime ourselves. So something that I do every single night is one thing I do is I, uh, I have that of my bed that I make sure the only thing I do in bed is sleep. And yeah, you know, I don't read in bed. I don't, um, I only make sure that I prime myself for when I'm going to sleep rather than, uh, like, you know, some people read in bed or watch TV in bed and by doing so it primes their brain that when you sleep in that spot, it's not really just going to bed. Um, the other thing is I take a shower every night before I go to bed. I also do something, do that in the morning as well. I've heard that's good for the pores and it's good for opening up the energy. I don't know if that's true. My grandpa told me that and he knows a lot about that kind of stuff. So I thought it was interesting. Something else I do every single night, I'm going to show you right now. Okay. I normally don't, I normally don't show this at all, but this is my sacred spot. So I'm inside my room right now. I feel like I shouldn't be showing it because it's my sacred spot. This is one of my rooms right now. Right now. This is like where I normally film podcast episodes. You got a little back converter. I don't know why I have those up. I'm only here another couple months, but, um, this right here is the meditation room. So it'll take a sec. So I— this is like a closet, but it's a big, big closet. So what I do is I come in here, I close everything off. I have some crystals. I normally will put crystals right around here and then I just relax and I stare at a candle flame. So I know it's not the most exciting thing, but I prime myself so that when I come into this place is a high vibrational energy. Normally the only thing I do here is meditate, so it's almost like there's an energy that's primed here, but I meditate every single night before I go to bed, which allows me to then have a very good dreams, very clear intentions for my next day as well. And then when I wake up in the morning, I'll show you tomorrow, but I come back into this, this space. Um, so I believe that the morning routine actually starts at night. Like I said, I like, I think I've said it like 6 times now, but, um, I'm just justifying why I'm making a video at night right now. And then what you'll see is here in a minute, you'll fast forward to my future, but the present moment, or then my past, depending on when we're watching this. So let's go. Okay, do I do something cool? There we go. Okay, so here's what else I wanted to do. I'm gonna show you a little bit about, so this is where I sleep at night. And when I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is I normally go to the bathroom, I go pee, and then right after that, right now I got the camera set up and everything because I know it's coming. I know it's coming. And then what I do is I've already actually done it for the day. Um, but because the first thing I do every morning when I wake up is I meditate. I observe my thoughts. I may have already showed you this, depending on how I edit this video, but this right here, that's my meditation spot. This is what I do. I sit down right here and I have that of a, uh, of a candle. I need to get a new candle flame. This is kind of what it looks like and what it does is it goes all the way up here and then what I do is I meditate. I stare at that candle flame and then when I'm staring at that candle flame, what it does is it keeps my eyes focused on one spot. When my eyes are focused on one spot, the mind doesn't tend to wander so much. I learned this when I first started doing meditation. I learned that that when the eyes would wander, the mind would wander. And I actually learned that from a Bikram yoga class. They say that, keep your eyes on one spot in the mirror. And I realized that that's so true. So what I did is when I meditate, I would observe the candle flame and as I would do so, my mind would calm down more and more. But also what I learned how to do, the biggest game changer in my life is when I learned how to observe my thoughts rather than try to control my thoughts. Normally we think when we're learning the law of attraction, like when you control thoughts, control thoughts. The key is observation. When you just observe them and you allow them to be there, the negative thoughts eventually go away. But when you try to control it, it like almost keeps the resistance there and it keeps it going. So that's what I do every morning. I'll normally do a little meditation where I will put the, uh, the awareness inside of my heart center. So I'll kind of go like this and I'll imagine the energy coming into my heart. And then what I do is I focus on a couple of my intentions for the day. What I, how I want the day to go. Some days it's, I want to be productive. Some days I want to add value, um, like with the YouTube videos I make. Some days, uh, want to have fun, you know, just kind of depends on the intention of the day. I set the intention and I set in, also imagine the outcome of what I want to experience for the day. So I imagine like something very successful happening throughout my day and I set that intention that that happens and I imagine that happens as if I'm looking through my own eyes. So I do that as well and it tends to work very well if I do it, especially over time. You do this consistently, eventually you just find that it compounds over time and it becomes something that works better and better and better. So what I recommend is doing an observation meditation where you just observe your thoughts, you allow your thoughts to be there, and then after that, visualize what you want to experience in your life. Visualize it as if you're looking through your own eyes. And you've already accomplished it. That's what I find that works very well. And that's what I, uh, that's what I do every single day. So I'll do this normally for about 10 or 15 minutes. And doing that, I've done it every single day since 2012. It's profoundly— I can't explain one thing to you that would change your life the most. It's learning how to observe your thoughts every single day for 10 to 15 minutes in the morning and 10 to 15 minutes at night. That's it. If you did that, it'll change your life because then you learn how to not react to the environment so much. You learn how to respond. So this is what I do every single day. Actually, I also have a meditation room over here. I don't know why I like this small little closet, but I do. I like that for the space. This is like a little creative room that I have and it's got— this is a— so it's, it's really chill. This is normally the room that Leora's in when she's here. It's like a little creative room. This is like the podcast room. Anyways, now right after that, what I do is immediately after that, I go straight into a cold shower, and I'll show you kind of what that's like. Okay, now obviously the next thing is taking a cold shower, which may not sound like the funnest thing in the world. The main reason I would say that I take a cold shower is because it helps me to increase my willpower. If right when I get up in the morning, I meditate, and then this thing I do right away is take a cold shower, what that does to me is that shows and kind of shows myself that I'm able to do something that a lot of people aren't willing to do, but I'm also able to do something that's kind of, in a way, kind of painful. Not painful, I'll be honest, it's not that painful, but I'll do something that's not the most pleasant thing to do at first. You eventually get used to it, but it also primes your state. I remember I first saw Tony Robbins, he would do this. He gets up, and he goes into like 52, 53 degree water or something like that. And when he does that, it just shocks your body. It shocks you awake. It's really good for your nerves. I was actually reading a book, uh, by Paramahansa Yogananda who wrote the book Autobiography of a Yogi. And even he in that book says take a cold shower. It's good for your nerves, it's good for your circulation, and it's good for your energy. So I've been doing this for a couple of years now and what I do is I wake up in the morning I meditate, I do a cold shower. The other reason I do a cold shower is because this primes me to do the next thing I'm going to do, which I'll share with you in a minute, which is actually the thing I'm doing right now, ironically enough. But when you do this consistently, it gets easier and easier as you go. You become a little bit more used to it, but the benefit of putting yourself and immersing yourself in cold water is just so amazing for your energy. It just gets you ready to go for the day. And I find that, that I believe it also kind of raises the vibration as well. It's also good for the circulation, like I mentioned already. I don't know, I'm kind of resisting going in the water right now, especially on camera. It's different going on camera. So what I'm gonna do is turn that on. Now, something else as well, kind of have this microphone right here because the audio on this thing isn't the best. The other thing is, Actually, no, no, I was trying to, I'm trying to save time so I don't have to get in there right away. Oh, the thing that I'm lucky with is that the house, the house that I'm in, the water that I use gets extremely cold. So there was another house that I had that I lived in and the water wouldn't get that cold. So it was kind of like getting into lukewarm water. I'm able to really get into cold water here. So I'm gonna give it another minute or two and then what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna jump in and Yeah, I'll just kind of show you what it's like. I figure if I do it, maybe some— I have a challenge. I have a cold shower challenge for you to do. Get into the cold shower, try it, and just see what I mean. Okay, sometimes what I do, if you want to, if you want to come in this and make it easier, what you do is when you get in, you make it a little bit warm and then you make it go colder. You take like a minute-long warmish shower and then you make it really cold for like a minute or two. I like to just, I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I do that. But what I do know is better and what I normally did do was just get in when it's cold. It really does wake you up. So I'm gonna go and do that right now. I've never really done it on camera before. Now the trick to this, the trick to this is to do it and to not resist it so much. Not like, not like go like this. You know what I mean? It's kind of like to try to enjoy it. That's what— that's what I'm going to try to do. I'm going to try to enjoy it. We'll see if I'm actually able to. Um, I mean, I'll be honest, I'm not gonna like enjoy it, but I'm not gonna like think it's painful. That's the difference. So what I'm doing right now is I'm just like letting it absorb into my body. But what I'm not gonna do is I'm not gonna like tense up and be like overly dramatic about it. But I'm also not gonna like fake it and be like, "Oh my God, this feels so great." It doesn't feel the best. Although I will say when you film yourself doing it, it kind of takes the pressure off really focusing on the senses, which probably is like a little counterproductive. I'm just gonna— I'm trying to be cool about it. It is pretty cool though. If I just do this, and ideally I think you want to do it for like a minute or two. It will change your breathing though. Like, I want to breathe deeper. Probably feel my energy right now, how we're gonna The microphone's okay. It is. So yeah, I mean, I can't really hear anything, but it is waking me up more and more. It is making my voice go a little bit higher pitch, so, huh, it's making me breathe deeper. So what you want to do is you want to do this for probably about a minute total. And your head will get very, very cold. It's really good. It's really good for your energy. Probably get a thumbnail for the video right now. Just talking out loud right now. Probably have one of the thumbnails right here. I don't know. Just kind of talking out loud. So the, the moral of the story is that when you film anything, you become more into the pressure of the video, and it becomes easier for you to film. And your head gets very, very numb when you take a cold shower, but it's very good for your brain. There are a lot of very smart people as well that used to do this. They would dunk their head in very, very cold water. I don't know if it was Einstein or who it was, some inventor. And he'd take a very, very cold shower. He'd dunk his head in cold water and he'd come up with these like really cool ideas. I don't know if it has something to do with the water in your brain, but nonetheless, try it. Do a cold shower. It'll build your willpower. And then you'll also just know that there's something you can do right when you wake up in the morning You're just going to do it and you're going to know that you can do it and then you're going to apply that to other areas of your life. It's almost like you become the kind of person that can do things that aren't the most pleasurable but that are very beneficial. So yeah, so I'm going to go and finish this cold shower right now. And then the minute or two, it's hard for me to talk to you at the same time and then I'll show you the next thing that I do. Now the next thing is what I think everyone should do. I mean, you do what you want, but what I think one of the most powerful things to do is, is to do the highest leverage thing which requires the most amount of energy. Now for me, that's make a video. And what I do is, as you know, the night before I set my intentions for the video and I prime myself with the title of what I have ready for that video that I'm going to be filming. So my mind as I sleep is like marinating in the ideas. And then I get up in the morning, I'm pretty much ready to go. I mean, after I take my cold shower and everything. And what I do is I have everything set up for me. So right here you'll see my, camera with the ring light, which was just in the bathroom so that I could film the shower episode or this, the shower part. But then what I do is I come here, I stand right here, I stand in the same spot every day and I say, welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now when I do that saying, that primes me to be in a certain state as well. That primes me to be like, okay, now we're creating a video. And the other primer is when I take the cold shower, it wakes me up. So it— wait, not just wakes me up, but it gets me in that state because it's kind of a shock to the system. So what I recommend people do is that you find out what you're passionate about. When you do what you're passionate about right when you wake up in the morning, you also give yourself the ability to tap more into your core frequency of who you're really meant to be in life. And by doing that, maybe 2 or 3 days doesn't seem like a big deal, but if you do that for let's say a month or 2, that compounds over time. You being in that frequency right when you wake up in the morning is very powerful, especially consistently. So what I'll do now is I'll film a video, which this is the video that I'm filming for today, and what I do after I film that video is normally I will then go do some type of either— if I have more creative work, sometimes I'll have other videos that I'll make, or I'll make Instagram videos, and then I normally go into my office. And this is my office right over here. Kind of show it to you real quick. So this right here is my office and I have these boards right over here with different stuff written on it. Um, to me that just represents business stuff. And then I have, uh, this is like the main, this is like the main where I sit a majority of my time when I'm here. And then obviously that's my content. I mean, it's a calendar, it's my content calendar. And, uh, yeah, so it's, This is my office and I really like it and it gets where it's where I get my stuff done. But have designated spaces in your house if you have the space to do it. Um, there we go. Um, what that allows you to do is to always prime yourself to be in a certain state. It's almost like the energy in my office is just mainly thinking energy for like stuff like that, um, for like business and stuff. So I do that. Something else that I do every day, and I do my best to do every day, every morning at least, I do this every night no matter what. Is one of the main reasons I got this house is because of the grass. So what I do is I walk over here and I walk barefoot in grass, and this is very good for the energy. We spend so much time indoors and also walking on concrete that it tends to unbalance and unground our energy. So if you ever feel like you're a little bit scattered, come out here. This is, I think, grounding is so amazing. It gets us connected to nature. I'll come out here sometimes and just kind of like, kind of like sit down. I normally sit down more, but like my butt on the ground, but the grass is wet right now. Didn't plan it out right. I don't really plan the grass. I mean, it just kind of— the water just goes on. But the— yeah, something else I do is I like to sometimes hug the trees. I know it sounds very hippie-esque, but I do it. So that's my confession. Now what else do I do? So I do that in the morning and then the other thing I do is to maintain a high— these are all things I believe. I think to raise your vibration the most, doing your passion every day when you wake up in the morning is one of the most high vibrational things you could do because that's your core frequency. That's who you're meant to be in life. Now something else that's very good for digestion. Because our body, the things we put into our body, has a powerful effect over how we feel, over our energy levels. Something that I find to be very powerful is this, right? I mean, this is just, uh, it's empty. I need to put water in it. But what I do is I use water. I like alkaline water. That's what I prefer. I actually have an alkaline water machine, so I'm not buying all this plastic. But, um, I was recently It's kind of hard for me to do both of these, I'm going to be honest, especially because I'm doing a whole gallon. Let me try to do this real quick. So I'm going to fill this up real quick, and what I'm going to do is I'm going to start that. And what this does is then I get a— I always keep lemons. So I have some lemons right over here, and I just pick a good lemon. I don't know about that lemon. I like this lemon right now. And what I do is I'm going to then put that into— I like jars. I'm gonna put that into this. So I'm gonna have warm water. I know it doesn't seem like you're supposed to put hot water in a glass, but I do. And then I put lemons with it. I squeeze lemon into it and I drink that. That's very good for digestion. So I do that every day as well. So everything I'm sharing with you right now are things that that I do every single morning. Now to recap, I think the most important thing you can do is meditate every single morning. Meditate. It will change your life. It will— imagine you get up every day and you go out into the world and you're reacting to everything that's happening. You're in reaction, you're in reaction, you're in reaction. And then imagine that instead of that reaction, you can observe and you can observe your thoughts. And your, your thoughts don't have to have so much power over you. And imagine that by doing that and having that observation, it then changes your whole entire life because then you, you don't, you're no longer reacting to things. You can choose different things. You're no longer in the autopilot mind. So meditation, I'm going to link below one of the most powerful meditations that I use for visualization and in the morning. It's one that you can listen to for 21 days. I think it'll change your life. Meditation, I'd say, is the thing that changed my life the most. Cold showers will prime you for your day and that will begin to build your willpower. So do something like a cold shower, watch how it increases your energetic levels and how you feel, and then do something you're passionate about every single day. Maybe that's art, maybe that's writing, maybe that's creating content. I mean, that's the things I like to do, so those are always easy for me to talk about. Um, but whatever it is, maybe it's playing a certain sport, maybe it's hanging out with your kids, whatever it is. Do that thing right when you wake up in the morning, uh, within the first like hour or two, and it will profoundly change your life and it'll compound over time. And then if you ever need to ground your energy, you know, something else I do is I do this little, this thing right here where I jump on this. This is called the rebounder. This is really good for increasing energy as well. Um, this I do to increase my vibration. I do this especially after I've been on my computer for a while, so maybe I'm writing an email or something. And what I do is after I write that email, what I might go do is come here and this helps me to like recenter my energy. And then a lot of times what I'll do is I'll feel ungrounded and I'll go ground myself. So I don't know, I don't know if that's the best combination, but it feels good to me. And then I go ground myself in grass, but do things and start to experiment with things that have an effect on your energy field because as you change your energy field, you'll change your life. If there's one other thing, there was one other thing I was going to talk about. Um, the wind before you go to— okay, so when you wake up in the morning, what happens is you're moving from a theta state of brainwave activity, which is where the subconscious mind is. You're moving into an alpha and beta state, which are the awake states. As you wake up in the morning, right when you wake up for the first 30 minutes is the most powerful time to reprogram your mind. So right when you wake up in the morning, if you are to think of what you want to experience in your life, if you were to assume the wish fulfilled of anything you wanted to create, that's the most powerful time to do so because you're closer to the subconscious mind than you'll be the rest of the day. At the same time, before you go to bed at night, if you were to feel the emotions of what you want to feel as you're falling asleep, which is what I recommend people do, that will help you to then program yourself because the language the subconscious mind speaks in is feeling. It'll allow you to reprogram yourself to be the kind of person you prefer and to, and to be in that vibration. And then it like, it improves your, it influences your subconscious, your subconscious mind in ways you don't even know. So that half an hour in the morning and at night is the most powerful time. In the morning, take control of it by making time to do these little things. These are things I do to remain in a high vibration. They are things that have changed my life in many different ways. Now what I'll go do is I'm going to go do more stuff. Uh, you might ask also about my diet. I don't eat in the morning. I find that intermittent fasting works very well for me. I'm not saying it works for everybody, but intermittent fasting works very well for me because I own my own business. So I get up— even if you don't own your own business, even when I had a full-time job, I did intermittent fasting. I would get up every day, I would do all of my stuff. I would go to the gym after this. Going to the gym is a way that I raise my vibration as well. However, I don't eat normally till about 1 or 2 in the afternoon, and I eat within a 6-hour window. Most intermittent fasting is within an 8-hour window, so you could eat at 11 and then stop eating at 7. But what that does is it gives your body more time to do its own thing. It gives your body more time to not be using energy to digest food. So I've been doing intermittent fasting for about 2 years now, and I'm a big fan of it. And I won't eat till about 1 or 2 today, and I'll stop eating about 6 or 7 today. And, um, that's the way I do things. So I don't necessarily eat in the morning, but I do do the lemon water. Um, just test these things out with your own body. See what resonates with you out of everything I shared today. Find out what resonates with you. If you want more videos like this, let me know.
