Overcoming the Fear of Success and Removing Blocks With the Law of Attraction

In this self‑help video Aaron Doughty challenges the notion that people are inherently afraid of success. He argues that what is labeled as a "fear of success" is actually fear of the side‑effects of success—such as judgment, change, and loss of familiar identity—rooted in inherited beliefs from family and society. Aaron explains that these limiting beliefs are not truly ours; they are absorbed from external ideologies. By becoming aware of these subconscious scripts, we can consciously release them, re‑wire our brain’s Reticular Activating System (RAS) to focus on pleasure‑linked growth, and align with our authentic self. He outlines a practical mindset shift: associate pleasure with uncertainty, growth, and authentic expression, and associate pain with stagnation and inauthenticity. He also references neuroscience (autopilot behavior, 95% of daily actions) to illustrate how new, uncomfortable experiences break habitual patterns and invite new opportunities. Throughout, Aaron emphasizes that success is the natural expression of one’s true self, not a betrayal of relationships, and encourages viewers to adopt these belief‑changing tools, focus on empowering perspectives, and take massive action. The video ends with a standard call‑to‑action for likes, subscriptions, and notifications.

Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video, I'm going to be sharing with you how to overcome the fear of being successful, and what I want to do is give you some tools and some perspectives that can completely transform the way that you see this whole process. Now this to me was something that when I hear the idea of it, to me it just sounds ridiculous. Now I'm not saying it's ridiculous if you thought this. I thought the same thing before. That maybe there's a fear I have of being successful. But at the fundamental core, to me it just sounds ridiculous. Who is afraid of being successful? Now it's not so much that we are afraid of being successful, but we are afraid of the side effects of what could happen because of success. And what that could be is people thinking about us differently, which really means that we're afraid of people thinking about us differently. Could be the uncertainty of what could happen because it's a completely different paradigm than the way we currently think in the present moment. It could be fear of change, but at the fundamental base level, I think it's important to not explain ourselves and to label ourselves of having a fear of success because ultimately if we fear success, we're going to be in our definitions alone, be blocking us from having the experience because it is something that we are associating pain with. It's something that we are moving away from. We generally, we tend to move away from things that make us feel painful or things that we're afraid of, and we will move towards things that we associate with pleasure. So think about it in the form of our definitions. If we associate it with being something beneficial, we will gravitate towards it more and it'll be something that the motivation just seems to run itself out with. So first off, I want to say that we are not afraid of success. What the first thing we should do is just get rid of that ideology altogether. But understand that we may be afraid of change and we may be afraid of what people think about us, which means that what we can then do is work at that level versus trying to work at the symptom level of thinking it's actually about the success. Because at the fundamental level, who wouldn't want to progress? One of, a strong human desire is to feel growth, feel progression. It's something we all want. We want to be successful. We want the stability. We want the security. We want the new experiences. We want the freedom that comes from the money that we want to create. The idea behind it is knowing that we may be subconsciously associating pain with change. Now let's talk about this in the form of friends, family, judgment from other people, because it's very important when understanding success. Now if we saw our parents, for example, when we were growing up, get on us and show us that that kind of person is this kind of way because of the money they have. Or they had to step on people's heads to get to the top, or thinking that there's any negative connotation to being rich, we will naturally have a block about becoming successful. Now the idea behind this is to first off realize that that's not our belief, that a lot of these beliefs came from our parents. A lot of these perspectives and these associations came from our environment and they weren't actually our own thoughts. We were absorbing them and we have been carrying around other people's ideologies thinking that they're our own. Now this is the time, and this is the part of the video where I encourage you to let go of other people's ideologies, let go of what other people think, and simply decide you are going to believe what you prefer to believe. Now it can't be that simple, can it? Must be much more complicated. It must be this long process of letting go of beliefs that don't serve us. But I'm here to tell you that letting go of beliefs is about awareness. It's about becoming aware of what your perspectives are and what your identity, who you are, relates to. You may have for years been unconscious to some of these ideas that your beliefs create your reality. You may have been unconscious of what your beliefs even are because it's just kind of black and white. It's the way we see the world, but becoming aware that there is a belief that is not yours anymore gives you the power to decide to let it go. From this point going forward, if you do choose to have the perspective of what will my friends think, of having the perspectives that rich people are this way or any type of success means this, That is a choice from this point going forward because you are aware of what you believe to be true. You are aware of those beliefs coming from your childhood, and that awareness alone is the proof to you that you have the ability to move on, that you have the ability to transcend those limiting beliefs. At the fundamental level of every video that I put on this channel, the most powerful thing that you can really take away from it is that your beliefs are creating your reality. And if you just change your beliefs about what you believe to be true, if you just decide to let them go, that will be taking your power back, and that will mean you will get a new reflection in life. Now, what we get reflected back to us in life depends upon what we are focused on and mainly just what we believe to be true. So changing it at that level then changes the reflection. So in order to understand being successful and the fear of success, The best thing you can do is to feel validated for who you are and to have this simple understanding as to the uniqueness for who you are. And I say this because for the longest time I've resisted being my true self and explaining these ideas in a way that I do because of the way my eyes look when I speak or the kind of way I move my hands. You know, there's people that comment and say that it's over-exaggerated. As if I were intending to like hypnotize you with my hands or something. But the idea is that I'm just being myself. This is the way I express ideas. I'm a very animated person. I speak in a very unique way, but that's part of who I am and I'm not afraid of what people think about it because I know that for every one person that makes a comment about the way I move my eyes or every person that says something about the way that I speak, that on the other side of that, there are many, many people more that resonate with it, that are subscribed because of it, or that get some value out of it. So it depends on the perspective. What are you focused on? Are you focused on what works? Are you focused on what doesn't work? The RAS in the brain will always look for patterns, and whatever focuses on, it will grow. So what I encourage you to do is to focus on perspectives that make you feel empowered. Focus on knowing that as you become successful, we don't have to believe that we just throw our friends to the curb, that we never see them again. We can have the awareness that as we change on the inside, our external circumstances will change and we will naturally resonate with a different type of person. But that comes from a point of awareness. It's just the way that things are. We can't be afraid of change. We must buy into who we are. We must know that the more we change the way that we feel about ourselves, then every other person will respond to us in a new way. And that the real power of being successful comes from buying into who we are and being who we are meant to be at the fundamental core. I want to propose to you— I'm going to propose to you— I want to give the idea to you that you, and in your life, you have a gift, and that you are meant to give your gift to the world, and that anytime you are feeling inauthentic to who you are, anytime you are trying to be normal, you are trying to be and fit into the frame of the way you think people think you should be, that is veering yourself off from success and that is veering yourself off from the alignment of who you are meant to be. I want to encourage you that success is about the true alignment of who you are meant to be. It's the true expression of who you are, whether it's weird, whether some people like it or some people don't. It's about who you are and knowing that as you buy into yourself, even though there might be an initial shock from you being a little bit different from the way people see you before, Understand that as you keep holding your frame, as you keep going about being who you are meant to be and the feeling that comes with it, the more you'll realize you don't care what other people think. The more you realize that if certain people do resonate away from you, it's just a part of the process. It's just a part of resonance. And that from there, whenever you let something go, something else comes in and normally something else comes in that's an even greater quantity and quality. So this is about understanding that you do not have a fear of success. You may have a fear of caring what other people think. You may have a fear of the unknown, of what is uncomfortable, of having to take massive action. You might have a fear of believing in ideologies that don't serve you. This is about getting in touch with your definitions. This is about understanding the pain and pleasure technique, technique, the pain and pleasure mechanism that we will always move in the direction of what we associate with pleasure and we will always move away from what we associate with pain. What I encourage you to do is to associate pleasure with growth, to associate taking action with your passion with pleasure, to associate all of the positive things that bring you happiness with pleasure, and to associate being inauthentic to who you are, to associate staying stagnant and not growing with the idea of pain. And as you begin to get your motivational mechanism in alignment, you'll find that you naturally gravitate in the direction of where you want, that you remove any block that says that you can't be a certain way, You remove in believing and identifying yourself as somebody that is afraid of success, that is afraid of all of these things being uncertain. Being uncertain and uncertainty in general is where all the good things happen. Think of it from a neurological point of view. Anytime we are doing the same things day in and day out, and neuroscience shows us that over 95% of what we do every day is on autopilot, we are creating the same triggers, we are creating the same things over and over and over again. But the moment we get into unfamiliar territory is the moment something new can come into our life because we don't have a hammered and solid expectation of what is supposed to happen. So this is about knowing and associating pleasure with uncertainty, associating pleasure with you being yourself. Associate pleasure with change, and as you do that, you will naturally start to go in the direction of success, and you'll find that anything you leave behind is a part of the process. Anything you leave behind, you can be grateful that it was in your life, and you can know that anything you leave behind, you are opening up space for what is really supposed to be there. And as I really, I really believe this, when you open up that space, there is something as good or greater that will come into your life. So it's about understanding and trusting that process.
