Stop trying to be magnetic...do this.

Aaron Doughty argues that trying to be magnetic actually blocks what you want because it's rooted in control and fear. Instead, surrender and stay in natural flow. He uses his unscripted podcast with Sahara as an example of when forcing stops and authenticity takes over.

You've been told to be magnetic in order to attract what you want, but what if trying to be magnetic is actually the thing that is blocking what you want from coming into your life? And what if the key was actually not trying to be anything, not trying to be magnetic, not trying to chase in order to get what you want? And what if the key was actually surrendering and letting go, and what if when you surrender and let go, you would then find that those things are a natural reflection for the energy you are in? Have you ever noticed that the people who are the most magnetic are not trying to be magnetic? They just are. It's a natural part of their energy. When you see someone that you are attracted to, most likely, It is somebody that is just being themselves. It's someone that is being. It is someone that is an energy flow. It's very attractive when people are in a certain flow. You look at that and you go, whoa, I'm attracted to that. When someone though is trying to be magnetic, think about the energy of that. Trying to get magnetic and be magnetic is trying to get something from you as well. This is the thing a lot of people don't realize is why am I even asking myself the question of how do I be magnetic? Because at the fundamental core, what do you really want? If you're trying to be magnetic, deep down, you might want someone else's validation. You might want everybody to notice or to see you or to hear you in a certain way. But what if the question instead of is how do I be magnetic, how do I not desire to be magnetic at all? Think about that. What if that's a more powerful question to ask? Because ultimately, once we begin to accept ourselves the way we are and don't infuse a reality that I need to become magnetic to be attractive, I need to become magnetic to attract my dream life, We move out of the energy of trying to be something and instead we just are. And when we just are, there's energy that is way more fluid, that is more magnetic. Isn't that funny? So think about this. If we're in the energy of we don't feel magnetic and we're trying to be magnetic, it's in the energy of control. It's in the energy of trying to force. It's also in the energy of manipulation. Think about that. Doesn't feel so good to think about, does it? What do you mean? I just want to be magnetic. Well, why do you want to be magnetic? Because if the reason you want to be magnetic is so that people can like you or so that you can have people attracted to you, it's in a way trying to get something from the external to make the internal feel different. but imagine somebody whose energy field is not trying to be magnetic. They're just being. Well, guess what? Someone that's just being doesn't have as much force, doesn't have as much energy in their field that is trying to control, and as someone that's also much more at ease. You know, it's interesting, the more I tried to force out certain certain videos, certain pieces of content, you can feel underneath that energy whether that video is on alignment or not, whether I'm in a certain state or not. When I am not trying, those are the best videos. I'm not trying to get anything out of them. It's not like this video has to get a certain number of views or a certain number of likes in order for me to feel worthy, whole, and complete. And if so, you would feel that energy. And you'd be like, that's not— that feels weird about this. And what happens is when you instead accept and you're talking about something and you're in an energy where you're focusing more on how you feel, because remember, people feel what you feel. I went on a podcast the other day with my friend Sahara for our third time. I think it's our third podcast episode we've done. And she was asking me and like sending me the questions she was gonna ask me. And first off, I was like, I don't wanna know the questions. She wanted to make sure it was a good conversation. I was like, I don't wanna know because I work better when I'm in flow. I work better when I don't know the questions. Otherwise I start coming up with a prepared list in my mind and that takes me out of, and then I try to make it good or try to make it sound good. No, I just wanna be. So what happened is I told her, I said, listen, You don't need to send me the questions. We'll talk about this, this, and this, or whatever topics you want, but don't send me the questions beforehand. And we just need to have fun because ultimately people are going to feel what we feel. So what we did is we did this podcast episode where especially towards the end we were just having fun, and I believe that people will feel that fun off of us and it will be magnetic. But funny enough, you can't try to be magnetic. Like, imagine if we were to try to make a viral podcast episode. You would feel it if we were trying. But it's interesting because people that are the most themselves and that aren't forcing things, that's attractive. So you could say that in order to be magnetic, the one thing you need to do is not try to be magnetic at all. Don't even, don't even let it cross your mind. What if in fact you don't want to be magnetic in the sense that Do you really want to be magnetic where everybody likes you? Everybody wants something from you? Where you can't walk down the street without people running up to you because you're just so magnetic? You just attract everywhere you go, you just, people just flock to you? In the mind, we're like, yeah, that sounds like a great way to be magnetic. You would get tired of that very quick. Eventually you'd be like, I don't wanna be this magnetic. This is too magnetic. There is a limit to my magnetic energy, Aaron. Imagine I have a magic wand and I can just make you so magnetic that everywhere you go, it just tracks everything. You just walk around like a magnet, like a really high-powered magnet that's going through your kitchen and just pots and pans and everything's clinking to it. And you're like, okay, I wanna be magnetic, but not that magnetic. I'm like, you should have been more clear. Just kidding. However, do you wanna be magnetic for narcissistic controlling people? You're like, probably no, I don't. Do you wanna be magnetic to psychopaths? No. So the question is, it's not that you wanna be magnetic to everybody. And remember, a lot of times they say that by trying to reach everybody, you reach no one. Kind of true in a way, because when you are being the real you and you give yourself permission to be the real you, which sometimes may include the esoteric different parts of you, You will repel away people that don't resonate with that version of you. That's good, not bad. You make space then for new people to come into your life that reflect a deeper energy inside of yourself. So I would say that more powerful than this idea of being magnetic is you wanna realize reality is a mirror. Say that 3 times, mirror, mirror. It's an interesting word. Me or mirror, mirror. Anyways, you look into a mirror, it's reflecting back to you, right? So instead of how do I be magnetic, imagine looking into the mirror going, I want to be magnetic, I want to be magnetic, I want to be magnetic. What is the energy there? Force. You can say, well, I am magnetic. I walk around and just people flock to me all the time. But why do you want people to flock to you all the time? Because then for a short period of time, it's like, look, I'm worthy. Look, I'm enough. You want it to be natural for your identity. So being magnetic really is about instead understanding there's this mirror reflection that we get in life and that you get a reflection of what is equal to your identity, what is equal to your energy. So I don't focus on trying to be magnetic even though I have videos that talk about being magnetic. I look at it now and I'm like, I would, I would phrase this a little bit different because why? Let's ask ourselves the question, why do we even want to be magnetic? Why? Because then I can control reality. Even think about, okay Aaron, I get not needing validation or approval, but I want to be magnetic to more money. I want to be magnetic to things in my life and to the right people. I want to be magnetic. But what if the only reason you believe you need to be magnetic is because there There's a certain level of control that you feel safe with. Uh oh, where's Aaron going now? This sounds like uncharted territory. I don't want to go into the unknown and trust the universe and trust God to bring me what I need. I want to be magnetic to all the experiences I want because of reality and the outer reflection I get could just completely mirror back what I know is safe and familiar. I would then feel good. So basically what happens is many people that are into the law of attraction, that are into being magnetic to their desires, guess what? A lot of those people went through trauma earlier in life because it led to their spiritual awakening, created the pressure. So what happens is they didn't feel safe in childhood. They maybe didn't feel safe like their— think about it, if mom and dad weren't able to meet your needs, the ego says, I need to meet my needs. I will visualize what I want. I will have a vision board. I will then eventually, hopefully experience it by being a magnet to my desires. But guess what? Boom, boom, boom, boom. And then, and then I will, I can see it in my mind and then experience it and then it feels safe because I feel like I'm in control. And what happens is manifestation then becomes this thing where we watch a lot of manifestation videos We become a magnet to our desires, but guess what ends up happening? We create force and resistance. We're trying to manipulate reality just like, okay, instead of manipulating to get your needs met for people to validate or approve of you, you're now trying to manipulate reality to meet your needs because there's a fear around the unknown. There's a fear around trusting the unknown. I'll say right now that I know that the best live events I run are the ones where I have the least amount prepared. Can I trust the unknown? Can I trust magic to happen just by being present with it? Because if so, magic does happen, but I can't try to create that magic. I can't try to be magnetic. I can't try to be a great speaker because when I try, I infuse resistance. When instead I have fun, when instead I'm enjoying the process, when instead I'm focusing on that flow, it's completely different energy. So you could say being magnetic, trying to be magnetic, is blocking you from actually being magnetic because the flow state is a different vibration than trying to be magnetic. Trying to be magnetic is trying to manipulate reality. You want to be magnetic for validation or approval, or you want to be magnetic because you want reality to reconform itself so you can feel safe. But let's look at that. What if instead of feeling safe, we realize that we can create safety inside of our body? Inside the body, we can create safety. In the present moment, we can create safety. We can create safety with our connection to the divine and then step into the unknown and allow magic to come into our lives. So what I've been focusing more on lately is not being magnetic. I focus on who am I being? Am I following the flow of my life? Am I having fun? Someone that's having fun, okay, someone that is having fun is way more magnetic than someone that is trying to be magnetic. Even someone that's saying affirmations of, I am magnetic, I am magnetic, I am magnetic, I'm so magnetic to my desires, they just come to me effortlessly. I am abundant, I'm abundant, I'm abundant. I am love, I am love, I am love. Affirmation, affirmation, affirmation. Mixtape coming soon on why you don't need to be magnetic. Because— and I'm not even gonna say you are already magnetic. Let me tell you what you want to hear: you are already magnetic. Who gives a crap what magnet— who needs to be a magnet anyways? It's all a mere reflection. What I'm saying is focus more on being yourself. Focus more on aligning to your purpose. Focus more on loving your life, on following the excitement, on feeling the the gratitude in the present moment, have fun with the process, you will naturally be magnetic. But who cares? Who cares? The funny thing is, is the degree to which you don't care about being magnetic is the degree to which you will be so damn magnetic. It is, it is offensive. It is offensive how magnetic you will be when you don't care about being magnetic. I'm offended. You should stay small, stay being and not shining your light because I am offended with your magnetic energy. That's another thing that blocks people. They're like, I wanna be magnetic. But then if somebody sees them and if they're actually getting it, I'm uncomfortable with this, I don't know what to do with this. Or they really like it and they're like, yes, now I'm finally worthy, whole and complete. What if the game itself is a game you don't have to keep playing? I say the same thing with worthiness. Worthiness is, the idea of worthiness is a concept. I am worthy, I am worthy, I am worthy. You wouldn't give the baby headphones that while you're in, I am worthy, I am worthy, I am worthy, or you wouldn't put it on your dog's ears saying, I am worthy, I'm worthy, I'm worthy, 'cause I am worthy is a concept. It's more about accepting where you are. No one worthiness is that, that's worthy, that is not worthy. It's a neutral idea. Being magnetic is a neutral idea. Just with it, we have all these connotations of, oh, I'm gonna have my needs met, I'm gonna have this, I'm gonna have this, I'm gonna contort reality to give me what I need. When you don't need to be magnetic, you will be extraordinarily magnetic, but you won't even care. Who cares? So detachment, not being attached to outcomes, surrendering to the divine, surrendering to what people think, surrendering to needing the universe to contort itself to make your needs met, to have your hands at the throat of the universe saying, give me what I want, I am a magnet, gosh darn it. I am a magnet. Huh. Force. What I'm saying is let's let go and let's focus on who we are being, having fun, enjoying the moment. Because when you're having fun and enjoying the moment, it's not so serious to become magnetic. You will be more magnetic, so magnetic it's offensive. I am offended at your level of magnetic energy. Okay? See, since you've been watching this video, you've already let go of some of that magnetic desire and you're already more magnetic and I'm offended. Yeah, you think I'm kidding right now. I am offended, all right? And if I, maybe I'll let it go. You just be yourself. Maybe, maybe I'll hold a grudge, okay? If I ever see you at a live event or I see you in public or something, offended like that. I just like that. Anyways, to be magnetic or not to be magnetic, that is the question. And the answer is to be magnetic literally means you're trying to contort reality to make your needs met. You wanna be magnetic because of the external validation. You wanna be magnetic because you want the certainty of reality contorting itself to give you what you want. But how about the question's not to be magnetic, or not to be magnetic. The question is, what is the question? Why do you need to be magnetic to begin with? Just be you. Enjoy life. Let go. Let go of control. Let go of outcome. Let go of needing things from other people in the sense of I need to be magnetic for whatever reason. And the real question is, thou witch, thou witch, thy witch does not need to be magnetic, will be more magnetic than ever. So magnetic it's offensive. It's offensive how magnetic you've become because you don't care. And somebody that doesn't care, some people will be offended. You don't want my validation approval? You don't need it. This whole little last dialogue of this video is literally me just helping you realize like, I don't need Aaron's. Aaron could be offensive. That's his stuff to deal with, not mine. That's how magnetic I am. I'm so magnetic, I don't care if Aaron approves of me or not. Good. Good. You're learning. I'm so excited for you. But understand that to be magnetic or not to be magnetic, hmm, you don't need it. It's the wrong question to ask. How do I be myself and how do I not care about being magnetic altogether? That's magnetic. Oh my God. But who cares, right? I don't need my needs met. I'm good either way. It's more about being more neutral. Though it's being more neutral in the attachment to the outcome. but being you, which may be polarizing, just saying, it's okay either way. So if by the way, you wanna learn how to be more magnetic by being in your own frame of reality and feeling safe inside of your own body, I have that of a free course called High Vibe 101. It's a $1,000 course for free that you can check out by clicking the link below in my High Vibe Tribe. It's a free community, it's a free $1,000 course, and there's a free section there on the frame technique to learn how to feel safe in your own body, to create that magnetic energy from the inside out, which comes from presence. And also, if you want a video that'll walk you through the frame technique, I'll go ahead and link it right here. Welcome to the frame technique meditation and activation.
