The Best HEART BREAK Advice That Will Change Your Life (& help you heal)

In this video Aaron Doughty shares personal heartbreak experiences and distills them into actionable advice for anyone navigating a breakup. He emphasizes that the pain of a breakup should not be internalized as a personal flaw; instead, viewers should recognize the situation as neutral and avoid attaching self‑worth to the outcome. Doughty recounts how his own suppression of sadness limited his healing until a somatic release breathwork certification opened him to feeling and releasing deep emotions, leading to a more open heart. He recommends breathwork (linking to his Magnetic Mastery membership) as a tool to activate and release trapped energy, and stresses the importance of allowing emotions to surface without judgment. The video also addresses the mental narratives we create around relationships, urging listeners to see stories and beliefs as neutral meanings that can be let go. Trust in the process, whether framed as the universe, God, or a higher self, is presented as a way to stay aligned with personal growth. Practical steps include muting or blocking ex‑partners on social media, employing the no‑contact rule, prioritizing sleep and recovery, and using resources like whatsmyvibration.com to calibrate personal vibration. Throughout, Doughty ties the healing journey to broader life goals, suggesting that focusing on one’s passions and self‑frame can transform the post‑breakup period into a catalyst for growth.

If you are going through a heartbreak right now or through some type of breakup, then this video I believe will completely change your life. This is the life-changing advice that I wish I had when I was going through a breakup a couple years ago. And honestly, it is the heartbreak advice that I am using now because currently I am also going through a breakup. So it is what I'm reminding myself of. Sometimes I like to make videos on things that are really fresh in my mind and in my way of being because it's stuff that I'm also studying. This comes from not just my own experience, but also hundreds of books on that of attachment and detachment, understanding that of the psychology and the inner relationship dynamics that happen between two people. And it's gonna be things that will not only exponentialize your healing process, but also help you understand and remember your own sense of worth. Now, the most important thing to understand about this process to really feel into when it comes to that of breaking up or heartbreak advice in general, it's not internalizing what is happening. So you might look at the situation and even in this situation, maybe somebody broke up with you, maybe you broke up with somebody else, whatever the situation is, understand that the situation is that of not something you need to internalize. Sometimes what happens is we then internalize it. If somebody breaks up with us or we break up with somebody else, we may then say, well, there's something wrong with me. Maybe I'm not meant to be in a relationship. Maybe there's people out there that just don't understand me, or maybe it's just not worth it. When we begin to internalize these things, then it gets down to our sense of self-worth and it makes it so much harder in the process. And what I can definitely see in my own life and past relationships is going through a breakup, for me, there was a feeling of trying to prove it to the other person that I am good enough. It was me trying to like maybe fix the other person or believing that if they're not coming around, then maybe it's because I'm not good enough or there's something wrong with me. And that would have me staying attached to the situation because I was literally fighting to prove it, that I am good enough. And what I eventually found, I'll share a little bit about how I went through a prior breakup and how I'm going through this breakup and how they're completely different in the way that I'm approaching it. And it's because of my own sense of self-growth. Now, I will say this, from some of my past breakups, I hadn't cried or, you know, I've been very sad, maybe even like losing sleep, maybe feeling very anxious. And it was something that I knew there was energy on the inside of me, but I wasn't really allowing myself to feel it. I would like rationalize it or I would focus on my business and I wouldn't allow myself to feel that. And this, Past this breakup that I'm going through right now, I have cried more than I've ever cried. I have allowed myself to really feel it in a way that I never really allowed myself to. And I think it's very ironic too, because, not ironic necessarily, but the work that I've been doing on myself is I've been upgrading my own energy. I really recently went through that of a breathwork process where I was becoming certified in something called somatic release breathwork. I became certified in this. And part of the certification process was that I go through that of like mini breathwork ceremonies. And one of the things I became aware of was that I shut down sadness and didn't allow myself to feel sadness for so long, like literally like years and years. I wouldn't allow myself to feel sad. I could tap into anger a little bit easier, but sadness was something that I wasn't allowing myself to feel. So in breathwork, there was a moment when one of the practitioners came over to me and said, "It's okay to feel, dog." That's what he said. "It's okay to feel, dog." And in that moment, when I was on this verge of crying, there was this cathartic release of emotion that came out of my heart that came, and I could tell also that a lot of that was energy that I absorbed from my mom because my mom went through so much trauma when she was a kid. And there was another woman that was like in this breathwork ceremony that was screaming and there was something about that scream that like reminded me of my mom. And there was like a huge release. And I realized that once I allowed my, 'cause I always had this story that like, I just don't cry. And then I would feel like there's something wrong with me. Like I'm not tapping into my emotion. However, once this happened in that breathwork ceremony, it released so much energy and I allowed myself to feel more sensitive. There were tears coming out. The first round of that breathwork, there were no tears. And then I was judging myself again. I'm like, there's something wrong with me. I'm crying, but there's no tears. And then after the second round where that woman cried, then the tears just flowed like crazy. And since that moment, my heart's felt way more open. Now, ironically enough, when I went through this transformation in breathwork, I became like a different degree of emotionally available, I believe. I believe that just opened up my heart to a completely new level. And when that happened in the relationship that I was in, it brought up stuff in our relationship that had to be looked at. And what ended up happening is that situation spawned things to come up that then closed the relationship. But it was actually a very beneficial thing because there was so much growth that happened. It's almost like when you're in a relationship with someone else, you'll grow, you'll have these little spurts, but there can become a time where that growth brings up stuff in somebody else or in the situation And for me, I can definitely see that the degree to which I have grown has been like the degree to which I can also like trust the process, that I'm not afraid to look at myself and that I'm going through this process of healing. So with what I'm sharing right now, I believe that part of this process is like I'm really open. I'm allowing myself to feel and I'm feeling more. And by feeling more, I believe that I'm allowing myself to also heal more. So one of the, parts of this heartbreak advice or the breakup advice is that allow yourself to feel and don't beat yourself up if you're not feeling certain emotions right away either. One thing that I would highly recommend you do is something called breathwork. Breathwork is so transformative. It helps you to like activate the energy inside of you that you haven't allowed yourself to feel and then it allows you to release it. You know, sometimes we repress or we suppress energy inside of our bodies and we don't even know it. Even happened when we were kids, but when you breathe in a certain pattern and you allow the energy to come up, you will feel so much lighter. So something I do recommend maybe that you do is maybe some type of breathwork session. And if you go into that of, uh, also if you want to check that out, you want to do that tonight or something like that, you can go to that of www.magneticmastery.com and you can check that out. That is my monthly membership where there is a recording from the Shift Experience live event that I recently did. And in that Recording on day 2, video 1, there's an hour and a half long breathwork session of the most powerful transformative breathwork I've ever learned in my life. I recently became certified in it. So I also facilitate that in Magnetic, in my Magnetic Mastery membership. So you could check that out too. And it's something that is so powerful when you allow yourself to feel, it then allows you to like really let go of that energy that you may have been attached to. Now, another piece of this heartbreak advice and breakup advice that I wanna share with you is that when it comes to this process, understand that there is attachments that we have that come because of a story and a belief that we have. And that story and that belief sometimes is that this person is someone I need to force it to work with. And when we have a story and this belief that we have to force something to work, it creates a lot of resistance. It creates a lot of pressure. Now, when you let that person go or they let you go or whatever the situation is, one important thing to remember with this is that stories and beliefs are something that we've given meaning to, but inherently these things are neutral meanings. Everything has no built-in meaning other than the meaning we give it. Now, doesn't mean we need to sterilize, you know, we can realize that maybe we're in an amazing relationship and there was so much love there in some ways, but maybe it didn't work out. There's a way of still appreciating what you learned in the process. There's a way of appreciating it without being attached to it and needing it to look a certain way. There's also a trust that can come with heartbreak and breaking up where you can realize that you always get a reflection of the energy work that you are doing. And with that, it's like you can trust that as you work on yourself, you will, find somebody and end up attracting somebody that is an equal reflection to that kind of work that you are doing. And you can have trust in that process because it's always a one-on-one reflection of that energy. And if right now is not the time, then maybe it's like it's time to really let go and to focus on you. That is another important part of heartbreak and breaking up that's very important to remember, that this is a time for you to go inwards. This is a time for you to become aware of what you value to become aware of like how you can be in your own frame. To be in your own frame is like you're the star of your own movie. There's a certain vision that you have, and if you don't know what that vision is, it's okay. You figure it out as you go, but you start moving in a certain direction and you start focusing on what you love doing and you start like focusing on where you are and focusing on your own energy. And sometimes after a breakup, it could be very common that you focus on the other person. What are they doing? What are, who are they talking to? What are they posting on social media? Something I'd very much encourage you to do, this is something me and my ex are doing right now, is we are muting each other on social media. We're still friends, we're both on the, you know, we're both on social media and stuff, like we're known on social media. So it's like, sometimes it can be beneficial to block somebody else. For us, what we're doing is we're muting each other so we're not seeing each other's posts until in the future when we can be friends. And it is, it is something that really helps to not like continue to reopen that wound over and over again. You know, it takes time and it takes space to go through something. You know, it's only been like a little bit over a week since, as the time of I'm recording this, since that breakup. And for the first like 4 or 5 days, it was so hard for me to sleep and I was beating myself up so much because I have this thing called a Whoop where I can like see my sleep from the night before and literally every night Prior to the breakup, I was sleeping 7.5, 8 hours a night. The breakup happens and then what happens is I'm getting like 5.5, 5 hours of sleep, 6 hours of sleep sometimes a night after that. And I'm beating myself up because I'm in a process of gaining muscle, which means that recovery and sleep is so important for that process. And there's just like, then I make it more and more important that I sleep good. And then it's like, I'm in my head and it's hard for me to sleep. And also the emotional energy from that of the breakup itself is like really, you know, something I was feeling a lot. And it was just that I beat myself up more as an interesting cycle. But something important to remember is that it just takes time. There will be time. It's gotten a little bit easier every single day, just a little bit easier. Nothing crazy where it's like, oh, it's so easy. Let it be hard before it gets easier. Let yourself, funny enough, if you're trying to force yourself to sleep, if you just let yourself lay there and accept that maybe you're not gonna sleep, a lot of times it's a lot easier to sleep. In the same way, it's like if you let yourself feel the pain of this breakup, then you're gonna process the breakup way quicker and faster and with more ease than if you don't let yourself feel or you think you're gonna distract yourself by sleeping with other people or something like that. So realize that for this process, um, it becomes easier as time goes on and as you are feeling it to heal it and understand as well that there is a degree of trust that you can have in the universe. There's a degree of trust you can have in God or in yourself or in your higher self, whatever label you want to give to this. There, this was happening for some type of reason. It could be that it's putting you on a different timeline. You just won't know until you look back in the future. But for now, the important thing, and the thing that I'm remembering, is one, from past breakups that I've had, I internalized a lot of it. I'm not internalizing it and thinking there's something wrong with me. Even the situation of how everything happened with with the person I just broke up with. It's me realizing, not internalizing, thinking there's something wrong with me and understanding that this is a powerful way for me to be in my own frame and to really set the energy of like how I prefer to show up in the world and going through my own healing with courage and being in my own heart and vulnerability and sharing with friends and family is something that can be powerful. And this whole process is something that you, it's also gonna reflect and leak into other areas of your life. I know right now, interestingly enough, I'm gonna be focused on like, you know, with my team on doing live events and stuff. I'm still going through the process and everything and not like of like the breakup and not like, oh, I'm just gonna distract myself with business. But like this next like year for me, I know that I'm gonna be very busy. So it's kind of also synchronous into that. I know that's gonna allow me to focus on my own passion. And in a way, maybe you can allow this to help you be the reason that you're focused on what you love. You focusing on opening up your own heart, you're focusing on feeling more. And as you do that, you realize that then your life begins to change in a very powerful way.
