The more you let go, the more you receive (works like magic)

Clinging to outcomes and identities creates fear and blocks joy, while letting go opens freedom and flow. The speaker shifted from forced content creation to making videos only when inspired, which increased his vibrational state and attracted more opportunities. Releasing attachments to goals and falling in love with the process creates a magnetic state that naturally draws abundance.

Would you rather have your attachment or would you rather have happiness? You can have either of these, but you can't have both. This is an interesting thing to ponder. So you can have your attachment and you can stay attached to your attachment, but it will not bring you happiness. In fact, the very moment you get this attachment, you will be very worried that the attachment is going to leave you. So what you'll do is you'll then try to protect yourself from losing the attachment. You'll think it's going to bring you happiness, but you'll be clinging so desperately onto it that you will rob yourself from happiness in the present moment right now. On the same hand, if you could let go of your attachment, you could be happy right now. So if you have the opportunity to either have your attachment or happiness, but you can't have both, which would you choose? Another way to put this question is rather, would you rather have your attachment or would you rather have freedom? Because your attachment is tethering you to a past pattern. It is tethering you to literally something you believe to be true. You might say, once I have this thing in my life, then I will be happy. But that belief is what keeps you out of happiness in the present moment right now. So what's interesting about this process of self-inquiry is you begin questioning why do you want what you want, and is it true that if you have what you want, you will be happy? If it were inherently true that everyone that wins the lottery is is happy, there wouldn't be like 90% of them that get addicted to drugs and end up losing everything within a very short period of time. Why is it we all believe if we win the lottery, we're gonna be happy? If we have hundreds of millions of dollars, then we'll be happy. And you'll say, oh, even in the perfect relationship. But what you think of as the perfect relationship is an idea. Because once you get into the perfect relationship, you start to see flaws. You start to get challenged. You start having emotional stuff come up and you say, oh wait, I thought it was the perfect relationship, but maybe it wasn't. Maybe there's someone still out there. I just looked over and there's a big monkey. Maybe there's someone out there that is the perfect one. So people jump from relationship to relationship looking for the perfect person because they are subconsciously addicted to an idea. And that's really what we're all led to believe is we are addicted to our concepts. We are addicted to our beliefs. Once I have this in my life, then I will be happy. And if you think about it as well, the attachment is normally something you don't have because if it were gratitude for what you already have, that's different than attachment, right? I'm just grateful for this energy in my life that is not conditional on a person or a circumstance. So the difference is we are constantly robbing ourselves of happiness by projecting everything into the future because we are subconsciously addicted to not being here now. We're addicted to more. More, more. I want more because what I have right here in the present moment is good, but there's more. And then we'll find reasons to justify this. Like when I was first getting on YouTube and I was like, oh, 100,000 subscribers on YouTube, I get the silver play button, this will be amazing. And then I got it and I was like, okay, it didn't feel any different. Then 200,000 subscribers, that'd be amazing, that's double. Didn't feel any different. Well, 250,000 is kind of a quarter of a million. Didn't feel any different. 500,000, didn't feel any different. It just, it just, my ego just kept upping it. By the way, you want to know how far this goes? It's because how funny, I'm not talking to my friend, I have a friend that has 4.9 million YouTube subscribers. And we went to lunch the other day and he told me, I said, what's your goal? What's motivating you right now? He's like, well, I really want to get to 5 million. I'm like, you're at 4.9. He's literally like months away from getting 5 million YouTube subscribers. He's like literally one of the best in his space. He is at the top. He's like one of the number one in his space at what he does. And I said, what would be different? How would it feel different if you go from 4.9 to 5? And he's like, I just think it's a really solid number. That's what he said. And I was like, it was funny because I was kind of joking around with him because I'm like, you think it's going to feel different at 5 million? He's like, I think it will. I think for a while I'll feel different. And I was just so silly to me because it's like, you have 4.9 million subscribers, but 5, that's going to feel different. And my advice to him was to look deeper at like, what's really driving you? Is there a bigger project or is there a new way to do what you've been doing? In a new way because that will enrich you more. And my own insights within my own business has been, I've been in a process of letting go of my old identity of just forcing myself to make content. Now I only make content when I feel like making content. Honestly, I think one of the reasons to making this video is that I just love this background. I'm in Costa Rica right now. I'm like, I wanna make a piece of content. I'm letting go. And how I'm letting go of my old identity of always feeling pressure to make content. But what I've realized is I've a new, completely new, I'm going through a huge transformation right now. Even friends around me are going through a transformation just witnessing me go through this transformation. But what it's around is I'm running live events, I'm getting footage from live events, I'm posting that on social media, on Instagram and YouTube. And when I'm in the moment of making a live event, it brings out a very different energy to me than when I'm just talking in front of a camera. And what I recognize is that I just have to do that more. If I just do more of the live events that I love making, that does better because I'm in a higher vibrational state. But there's a part of me that has to let go of the old image of myself, the old way that I see myself. Now, I wanna also point out here, when I'm in the moment of running a live event, and I'm hot seat coaching people, meaning I'm bringing people on stage and I'm coaching people and I'm answering questions in the crowd, it's all happening in the present moment. Like, I enjoy it. I love the process of it. It lights me up. And because it lights me up, then when I get footage from it, that footage is much more likely to do better. So what's interesting about this is it's all about finding your flow for what you enjoy making. So what I asked my YouTuber friend who had 4.9 million and was going to feel 100% worthy and whole and complete at 5 million is, how do you enjoy making content? And he's like, well, I have a— he has a podcast and he's like, I love doing my podcast. It's so easy. It's so much fun. And I'm like, why don't you just do more of that? He's like, yeah, we are going to continue to do that. But there's this pressure he has, and he, by the way, back in the day, he was doing 3 videos a week, and his videos are very edited, very high energy, and very hard to do 3 times a week. But he did it for years, and eventually he let it go. And you know what, want to know what's funny? He thought by letting go of 3 a week, his channel was going to decline and just go into the ethers, and like no one was going to watch him. That's what we all as YouTubers think. It's like, if I stop working really, really, really hard, I'm gonna lose it all. When he did that, his stuff grew even more. But how? He's making less videos. Well, he's making less videos, he probably has— he had more energy to do other things. His energy, I think, increased. And then the one video he made a week was better. And also, I remember at this time, he also was doing like things around his house. He was doing like more like fixing his pool or not his pool, maybe his pool or like his landscape in his backyard. And he painted his garage. He was doing all these like home improvement stuff and he looked like he enjoyed it. For the first time, he had more space within himself. He had more time to put into his personal life. And what's interesting is once he had that bandwidth, it's like his stuff still continued to grow and he was able to enjoy his life more. He was able to get off his hamster wheel. So maybe the thing that's holding you back is just the attachment to the old identity that's felt so familiar for so long. And when you begin letting this go, there is sometimes fear that comes with the courage that it takes to step into a new you. Like, if you've had for a long time the belief— like, there may be there's definitely aspects of myself that I can look at and see, like I do thrive when I am in my own energy and I love my alone time. I love being with friends, but I also love my alone time. I love going deep into work and no one can tell me what, you know, no one could tell me what to do or I don't feel guilty. I just do my stuff and it brings me a lot of success. And at the same time, moving into a relationship or moving into having a family I know that when that happens in my life, I will have to let go of that old lone wolf identity and it will feel scary. And I'll fall. I'll probably feel bombarded with like being around people all the time. But when they're the right people and when the energy is in alignment, I think it'll, it'll be worth it. And that'll be the growth. But for so long, some people hold themselves back because subconsciously they identify or see themselves as the single person. They see themselves as the 9-to-5 job goer, maybe doesn't like their job, but the 9-to-5 job goer, that brings security. Understand, for all of these different mentalities and identities, there is a payoff. The payoff may be that it just feels familiar. The payoff may be that it's just what you know. But maybe what you know and what you're used to is outdated. Maybe it's keeping you stuck. And here's the good part. You're watching this video, you're questioning within yourself and asking yourself, what is this identity? Which means you're at a point to where you can choose to let it go if you want. Like, if I were to say, if you were to take yourself out of your identity and I'd say, how does that version of you think, feel, and act that is in a 9-to-5 job? Probably say, well, I go to a 9-to-5 job. I think thoughts equal to that 9-to-5 job. I feel emotions equal to that 9-to-5 job. It'd be very clear to see what you do to be in the current lifestyle you're in. When you take yourself out of it, you can then see, oh, that's a pattern that I've been in. I just decided at a certain point I'm a 9-to-5 job goer. I just decided at a certain point that intimacy was uncomfortable, or that to be single was more noble, or less likely to have relational trauma. But what if that attachment is blocking you from more love, from more freedom? For more abundance. And what if at the end of the rainbow, this magical rainbow with all your desires that are fulfilled, what if there is the realization that none of it was what really caused you to be happy? What if the true cause of happiness was simply that you gave yourself permission to be happy? You gave yourself permission to be in the present moment. Because ultimately, when you fall in love with the process, that's when your life will really take on a totally new level of energy. Like when I run live events, when I'm in the state, when I'm allowing information to come through, when I'm interacting with people, it brings out a different energy that feels good. And even at the end, there's a celebration phase because now I got all this new content. I got like maybe 2 days worth of content that does feel good. But you want to feel— you want to know what feels even better? To be in a flow state. When you watch amazing basketball players or amazing athletes or people that are in their flow or doing something they love doing, it's hypnotizing. You watch that, you go, wow. You want to know the funny thing? There's not a thought going through that person's head. You think of Kobe Bryant making the game-winning shot, having to make an in-the-moment decision. He's not logically thinking, figuring things out. He's being. He's in the moment. It's alignment. It's like a channeled energy. And in the same way, when you watch people that you're mesmerized by, they're in the present moment. That is the juice. That is the thing, not the thing that you get from that. The thing to become aware of is, would you rather have your attachment or happiness? You can't have both. The question is, what if this thing that you thought you needed, what if you question that? Do I really need the relationship to be happy? Do I really need that? Do I really need to wait till I'm living my purpose to my full extent for me to be happy? Can I fall in love with the process? Can I be happy now? Can I do things that put me into a flow state? Can I be in a flow state? Can I let go of all these beliefs and all this baggage? From my past and allow myself to be more free now? And what if by being more free now, all of those things most likely come anyways? Funny paradox, isn't it? Like when I run live events and I'm in the energy of a live event, I have podcast opportunities that come to me. I get people that reach out to me. I get really amazing opportunities that come into my life that don't even look connected to live events. But guess what? They are because the energy that I get in when I run a live event brings things into my life that are equal to that new me, that energy. Even I've shared this before, but I remember any time I'm running a live event, the week I run a live event, I will meet more people in public that recognize me from my videos than the prior month, all in one week. Like, what is this? The energy of me getting ready for a live event is maybe excited. Maybe it's like there's something in my energy, I don't understand it, but it's an energy thing. So what if instead of focusing on trying to exchange, trying to change the external to manifest these things that you believe will bring you happy, just get into the state, get into the state of being, enjoy the process, fall in love with that. And those things will come anyways. Maybe they do, maybe they don't, but it doesn't matter because you're not believing that it has to bring freedom or that it has to bring happiness. You understand happiness is in the present moment. That's when you really become free, and you will feel free when you realize that in general. Like, imagine you spend so much of your time and energy trying to get people to like you, you You try, you try, try. The more you try, the more you resist. Then eventually you just question that. Why do I need people to like me? What if actually I don't want their approval or validation? What if I just wanna be myself? You start to question it, you start to become free. And the funny thing is, is when you're free and you're just being you, you're more magnetic and attractive anyways. So there's this interesting paradox that happens when you begin to let go. So letting go allows more magic to come into your life. Now, if you wanna learn how to let go, I have one of my most popular videos on letting go. I'm gonna go ahead and link it at the end of this video. You could check it out. It's a complete blueprint of how you can let go and all the different angles that can completely transform your life. I'm gonna put it right here. The less attached you are, the more attractive you are. Or you could say, The degree to which you are detached is the degree to which people will attach themselves to you because it's attractive.
