The Most Powerful Realization that Changed My Life

The speaker describes how watching The Secret as a teenager taught him that thoughts and beliefs directly create the experiences we live. He argues that recognizing this power lets you consciously reshape your life by reprogramming subconscious beliefs and choosing thoughts that serve your goals.

Real talk right now. I want to share with you guys a perspective or like kind of an epiphany of something that really profoundly changed the way that I thought. And it was something that once it happened, there was kind of like no going back really. It became something that was so evident that I could see in almost every person that I come in contact with, and I can also see it within myself. The idea is that when I came to this realization, it was like I was really able to blatantly see everything to the reason a lot of things happened, the kind of experiences that I had in my life. Believe that this is one of the most powerful realizations that anybody can really have towards giving themselves more self-empowerment. Now you might be asking yourself, what is this topic? What is he talking about? And, and what this idea is, is simply knowing that we create the experiences that we're having, that based upon our mindset, the way that we think, our thoughts, our emotions, and our beliefs, we are creating and pre-paving the kind of experiences that we have. Now when I came to this conclusion, I was actually It was like when I was— how old was I? I was maybe like 15 or 16 years old and my mom kept urging me. She's like, you have to watch this movie. You have to watch this movie. And it was a documentary. And first off, I was a little bit hesitant because sometimes she would get really excited about things, but I didn't really know if it was something that, uh, something I was really going to like. But she kept telling me that I had to watch this movie called The Secret. And right from the beginning of The Secret, probably about 5 or 10 minutes in, there was something about it that just began to resonate with me. The idea that our thoughts, there's a correlation between the way that things happen. And I think one of the reasons I really began to resonate with this too is because I kind of went through a lot of shit growing up, went through a lot of stuff that I experienced. I was in a way kind of limited with the things that I could do a certain period of my life, and because of that, it really made me ask kind of how I could experience more. And it was something that really just resonated with me when I heard it, and that was when the seed was planted, because then from that point going on, I began to really be aware of the things that I was thinking towards then seeing it in the effects that I was getting out of life. I would then be able to look at other people, not in a judgmental way, but I'd be able to look at other people to see why they were getting the results that they were, why they lived the way that they were. Maybe why, you know, if they were in a relationship or something and it wasn't going well, I could kind of see how their thoughts correlated to the effects that they were getting. And ultimately it was just something that kind of be like seeds were planted and all of a sudden I began to understand more and more about how evident this is in our life. It's like a one-to-one reflection. Everything is always being reflected back to us based upon our thoughts, our emotions, emotions, and our beliefs. Now, this is important to understand because once we really give ourselves the ability towards knowing that we are contributing to the things that we experience in our life, that's when we really begin to consciously create our own experiences. That's when we're really able to take a level of consciously doing the things that we want, consciously thinking the thoughts that are conductive to who we really are. We really begin to get in alignment with what this is, and from that point, we're then able to actually experience what we want in life. Now, there's another side of this too, because there's some people that say we don't create our own reality, and that is just as equally valid. I'm not going to ever tell somebody that that is not true for the person because I believe that they are so powerful that they can create the experience that they don't create their own reality. It's kind of a funny paradox, but the idea is that we are so powerful, uh, as beings that we can create the illusion that we don't create our own experience. Now, this is because of our belief. We're telling ourselves that there's no correlation between the thoughts that we think to the experience experiences that we're having. The funny thing about it is that we are actually creating the effect if that's what our belief is. So for example, if we were like, oh, I'm not creating this experience, and we weren't able to see any correlation or any synchronicity between it, we're still creating the experience that we're not experiencing any of that synchronicity. So fundamentally, we actually are creating it from that point of view. I know it's kind of a mind boggle, but the idea is that we are powerful and the beliefs, the The thoughts, the emotions that we have are shaping the kind of experiences that we have. And once we really begin to understand this, we really begin to live from this point of view. We can then really take our power back and understand that we are never a victim of circumstance. There might be certain things that we don't prefer to happen in our life, but the idea is that we can really begin to empower ourselves by paying attention to maybe some subconscious beliefs that we have, things that we're paying attention to that don't necessarily serve us, and we can really then begin to put it in a more powerful direction towards understanding that the power that we have exists within us to give things positive meaning towards putting the emotions that we have, the beliefs that we have, the thoughts that we have into directions that actually serve us. And we can ultimately then begin to be observant of all the thoughts that come into our life, become observant of everybody that we're coming into contact with. And then from that point, we can consciously choose the direction of where we want our life to go. So with that being said, I hope you guys enjoyed this video today. I know I had a lot of energy in this video. And really, this is one of my favorite things to talk about, talking about how powerful we are, how we can direct the course of our life based upon how we think, based upon the things that we believe to be true. And I want to encourage you to look at what you believe to be true, to question it, to understand that you have the power into whether you think you can or you think you can't. You're right because it's based upon your belief. That's not my quote. That's a quote of a whole bunch of, uh, you know, really great people. I'm just saying it because I believe that it is actually true. So I hope you guys enjoy. Feel free to subscribe if you haven't already, like this video if you liked it, and other than that, I'll see you guys on the next video. Aight, bye.
