The Scariest Secret Of The Universe (that makes letting go easy AF)

In this self‑help video Aaron Doughty presents what he calls the "scariest secret" of reality: that nothing in the universe has any built‑in meaning and that meaning is a relationship we assign to things. He argues that enlightenment is not a distant state to achieve but simply the act of letting go of the meanings and attachments we have constructed. Using anecdotes about Osho’s sudden enlightenment after abandoning strict routines, his own experiences with his father’s shift in self‑image, and a personal transition from a 9‑to‑5 job to full‑time YouTuber, Aaron illustrates how the stories we tell about ourselves and others create a vibrational bandwidth that determines our reality. He explains that rigid meanings—whether about parents, gender, jobs, or past trauma—anchor us in a limited reality, and that consciously changing those meanings raises our vibration and opens the unknown where new possibilities arise. He also references a group‑awareness training model that distinguishes the factual event from the story we attach to it, emphasizing that healing comes from rewriting those stories. The video concludes with a call to action: a 21‑day meditation designed to raise one’s dominant vibration, encouraging viewers to commit and collectively amplify the effect.

What I'm going to share with you in this video is the most powerful and the most scary secret in our reality. This is something that touches on what a lot of enlightened people touch on. This is also why some people become depressed and don't even know it. And the way that I explain this, I think, is going to really change the way you look at attachment, letting go, and the way you live your life in general. So it's going to make letting go easier. It's going to make letting go of attachment something that is natural, and it's going to help you understand more about your true power to create your reality on your terms. Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video, I'm going to share with you the power of something that is both scary and powerful. At the same time. And it's a concept that they say— I remember hearing like Osho or some of it was, you know, enlightened— that said that when they went through the process of enlightenment, they tried so, so hard to get it and they were really strict. I remember Osho was extremely strict with like, he was talking about how he would go to bed at the same exact time every day. He would walk for a certain number of miles every morning at 3:00 AM and he had this really strict discipline and routine with this intention of enlightenment. But then what happened is he was getting frustrated because it wasn't happening. So what he did is he said, screw it. He completely let go. He let go. He was with some friends. His friends came over and they were like drinking alcohol and they're like, you want some? And you know, knowing he was gonna say no. And he says, give it to me, you know? And he was like stepping out of that known of what he was always doing. And once he let go, the next day he went for a walk and he had his enlightenment experience, or he had that enlightenment. And he said that he laughed. He laughed hysterically at how stupid the idea of enlightenment is. And that was like his realization of enlightenment. Now, enlightenment is something that is naturally a state of consciousness that we all have the ability to connect to. It's a part of who we naturally are. So enlightenment isn't something you attain or become. It's something you realize. Now I'm not enlightened, but the perspective of it, the parts of it, I can see the dynamics of it when we talk about raising our level of consciousness or getting to a level of enlightenment because the main part of it is understanding that all we have to do to enlighten or raise our vibration to that level is let go of all of which is not us, is let go of the things that we've attached to that keep us in a certain bandwidth. It's almost like we have beliefs about who we are that keep us in a certain bandwidth of energy. So enlightenment in a way is just a letting go. Now, the most powerful, the most important and scary thing in the universe is that of understanding that we and the things in our life, the circumstances that happen to us, what people mean to us, the meaning in our life has zero built-in meaning. There is no built-in meaning on anything. We can, some of us can agree to different things, but the built-in meaning is neutral. We give things meaning. So with that, it's realizing that that's both scary because there's no meaning to life and empowering because we give it meaning. Now, meaning, I have found the definition of it. That's why I have my phone in my hand. In semantics, Metaphysics. It means a relationship between two sort of things, signs and the kinds of things they intend, express, or signify. So meaning is relationship. Now think of it like this. If you maybe have a parent that you have a bad relationship with and maybe you have negative beliefs around your worthiness or negative beliefs around your parents, that may be trickling into many different areas of your life because the meaning the relationship between you and your mom or you and your dad, if there's unhealed wounds there, maybe your mom cheated on your dad, your dad cheated on your mom, or you felt like they neglected you when you were a kid and you say, "Oh, I'm not worthy." And then you think of all women that way or all men that way, it comes up in your life in different ways. The meaning we have from things we gave meaning in the past is on autopilot. And until we become aware of it, it runs our life. So if we believe and have a story that men are this way, women are this way, it's being reflected back to us. Now, the thing to remember with this is that we can change the meaning. The thing is, we remain really rigid with the meaning we gave things in the past. I know for me, there are certain things that this is the way reality is, and I don't wanna change that, I don't wanna challenge that. But sometimes, all because it's comfortable doesn't mean it is something I should continue to do. I used to, I look at my own life, you know, it's funny, I was talking to my dad the other day about something because my dad and I both has this experience in school where we were both like C or D students in high school. And then all of a sudden something happened and we became smart. I graduated with like a 3.8 GPA and was like an honor student. My dad, the same thing back in the day. And he told me a story. He said that he was in a chemistry class and my dad's a fire investigator. He's like an analytical guy. And he was in a chemistry class and the moment he started to view himself as smart, he was in this class and what happened is there was this test and he, or there was this answer, there was like this problem and he got a different answer. Like they were all doing the answers and figuring out this like solution or whatever to this problem. Everyone in the class like agreed that this was the answer and he raised his hand and said, "No, that's not what I got. I got this answer." What ended up happening is my dad had the right answer. And from that situation, he said he learned two things. One, to speak up when he believed something different than what everyone else believed. But two, he then realized and started to see himself as a smart person. Same thing happened to me. I saw myself as a C or D student. That was my self-image. That was the meaning, the relationship I gave to myself in school. And just other people. Then all of a sudden I had a class in English. It was an English paper, an English quiz or something, and everybody in the class scored like a, like on average, like a C or a B. And I was like one of the only ones that got an A and the teacher announced that somehow or something like that. And I was like, oh, maybe I'm smart. And then all of a sudden the meaning I gave to me and other people and my own intelligence was that I'm smart. I gave it a new meaning. So, and they tested this, by the way, with kids as well in school. If teachers imply or believe that certain kids are smarter than others or smart in general, they treat them a way to where the kids then, it brings that out of the kids 'cause kids are so malleable. They've tested that many times. So meaning is both something that is a frame we project and it is also something we think about ourselves. Now, the reason letting go is hard is because we've given meaning to something. We've given meaning to a job we find it hard to let go of, even though maybe it doesn't really make us happy anymore, but it brings us certainty or it brings us comfort. We give meaning to a past relationship that maybe is draining our energy or not good, but— and or abusive or something. But the meaning you've given to things, you are rigid with, and you don't want to let go of that meaning. Now, here is the key to letting go and understanding this meaning. The more you let go is the more you raise your vibration. The more you look and realize that you being attached to these old patterns, these old things, they are anchors that are keeping you in your old reality. They are keeping you from moving on. The key is realizing that stepping into the unknown is where all the magic happens. What that means is you're going to be aware that you had one meeting with someone very special. You had a meeting about this job that you had that you didn't really care about, but it got you this certain level of success or money, and that meaning is afraid to let go of because you're afraid that it's gonna go into chaos or you're afraid you're never gonna be happy. But if you were to let go of that meaning, you could then create new meaning, which means new relationships, new relationships as to what things mean. So new relationships to new people, new relationships to a new job or something you're passionate about. That is the whole entire thing. Thing on life in general. Everything has no built-in meaning than the meaning you give it. One day I was working a 9-to-5 job. That was my reality. My thoughts, my emotions, my actions were equal to that reality. All of a sudden what I did is I changed the meaning to myself and how I relate to the job. I said, I don't really wanna be here anymore. I'm going to start to be a full-time YouTuber. I'm gonna link up my thoughts, my emotions, my actions to that. And that was the meaning I gave. That was the relationship I gave to myself And as I started to do that, my outer reality began to change because I believed in myself. Belief, all belief is by the way, is meaning. You believe in yourself, you're giving meaning to your own ability, to your own power. That's all belief is. It's a story about who you are, how you relate to everybody else, and your meanings, your stories, you can let them go. Letting go of attachment is a trust in the universe that when you let go of one meaning, you're gonna be able to create a new meaning. That's all it is. It's a letting go of meaning and it's a wiring of something in the unknown. In the unknown is where you can create magic. In the known is where you got the same meaning to the things you've given in the past. This is the key to transformation. This is the key to enlightenment. It's letting go, even healing. Look at healing. There were experience, I went to this like training thing back in the day, years ago. And it was like this large group awareness training where you go through kind of like a Tony Robbins style thing. Like event and basically people would go up and express their trauma or express like what they're working with or what their challenges are in life. And the instructor would always show them that there's these two different Venn diagram things. There is what happened in the past and the story about what happened in the past. 90% or 99% of what messes people up is not what happened. It's the story about what happened. So for me, it was like, you know, I had the abusive stepmom. "Right, she was controlling, manipulative. I didn't have freedom. I was always tuning myself to her to survive." What happened was it was like the ex-stepmom was controlling. That's what happened. Maybe that was even a story. I don't even know. It like, my interpretation of it being controlling. No, I mean, she was abusive and controlling. That's what happened. But the story is, this is my brother and I didn't have any freedom. The story is that we're unworthy. There's something wrong with us. We didn't deserve it. I then kept attracting people in my life like my ex-stepmom after that, 'cause that felt comfortable. That was the meaning I gave to women and what I needed in my life to remain grounded or something. I don't even know. I had to become aware of these things. But most of it is the story we tell ourselves about what happened. Now, the thing is, is what is the difference between, you know, I look at the way I responded to my past, the way my brothers responded to my past, We both gave it different meanings. I gave it a bad meaning. Then I went through a spiritual awakening and it completely transformed because I changed the meaning. What happened is originally all this pain I went through didn't have, and it was like, it reflected back to me unworthiness. And then all of a sudden what happened is I started to see that that pain from my past led me years later after my dad divorced my ex-stepmom, led me to a spiritual awakening. That pressure created transformation. I changed the meaning. When I changed the meaning, then I changed how I let go of all the things that wasn't serving me. My whole entire life changed. That changed everything simply because I changed the meaning to the past. And when people went up at this large group awareness training, it was like the story about what happened and then what happened. And most people, 90% of it, it's the story about what happened. It's our interpretation of what happened. And there were other people in the crowd that would hear people's what happened and they would have a completely different response, or they took that same thing happened to them, but they had a very different meaning from it. They attributed to it a new meaning. You can change your meaning like this to your past. You could change your meaning like this to relationships. And the reason it's hard to let go is because you're remaining rigid with meaning. That's it. You let go and you trust that you'll bring in something new and you'll create new meanings, then you're good. You have the ability to create new meaning. You have the ability to change these things now that you're more aware of it. What will you create in your life? This is something to really be aware of, and this is something that changes everything. So with that being said, there is a meditation for raising your dominant vibration permanently, and a lot of it has to do with the letting go and feeling into a higher vibrational state of consciousness. I'm gonna go and link that below. Listen to that meditation. Let's all commit to this meditation for 21 days. And let's do it because the more of us that do it, it amplifies that energy and we'll be able to kind of feel the energy of everybody else doing it too within the collective consciousness. They've proven this is called the meditation effect, but that meditation, read the comments to see what's possible. I get DMs about this meditation all the time. It's completely free. Click the link below, check it out. Let's all commit to it for 21 days. If you're in, comment below and say, I'm in, and let's raise our dominant vibration permanently. With that being said, hope you enjoyed this video and as always, peace, much love, and namaste.
