The SECRET LAW OF Vibration (How I Use It To Manifest & Raise my Vibration)

In this extensive monologue, the speaker (Aaron Doughty) weaves together personal anecdotes, psychological concepts, and practical strategies to illustrate how shifting one’s locus of control—from external validation toward internal empowerment—enables smoother life transitions. He recounts his recent move from a heavily renovated house in Sedona to a new home in Austin, detailing the financial, emotional, and energetic costs of attachment to property, the tax advantages of Texas, and the serendipitous series of events that led to a house rental opportunity. Throughout, he explains the "personality matrix" (promoter, controller, analyzer, supporter) and identifies himself as a "promoting controller," emphasizing the need to balance these archetypes. He introduces a manifestation method called "outer intention," where one aligns personal desire with the perceived desire of the object or other party, and shares how this helped him secure housing. The talk also covers the concept of the locus of control, its influence on self‑esteem, codependency, and external validation, and offers a middle‑path approach that blends intentional action with surrender. He promotes his upcoming free "Own Your Vibe" three‑day challenge, live Sunday meditations, and community building as tools for raising vibration and reinforcing internal control. The narrative culminates in a call to let go of outcomes, trust the universe, and use both control and surrender to attract desired circumstances.
Chapters
This episode is on letting go and understanding what is called the locus of control. The locus of control is going to help us understand how we draw our sense of belief in ourself, our sense of self-esteem, our sense of self in general, and how we relate in the world. And I'm going to show you how you can, in a way, feel more empowered and not feel like everything in life is happening to you. That's really what it is. It's a shift into understanding your own ability to set intentions and to in a way control your life, but at the same time, ride that razor's edge to where you're not resisting at the same time because there can become a level of control that maybe it's like, you know, too much resistance is infused into the process. So control can both be, a good thing and a bad thing depending on the context and then, and also depending on the exaggeration of it. If somebody is controlling things way too much from the ego's perspective, then there will be created a lot of resistance. If somebody is in a state of passiveness, maybe some sense of control or some sense of internalization could actually help them. So it's interesting how this works. So there could be like a lazy, lackadaisy perspective that's like, everything's just happening to me. There's nothing I can do about it. But then there's this other side of the spectrum that's like, I must control everything. And on either side of these extremes, there is pain, there's resistance, there is either passiveness, resistance, and resentment, or there is a level of control and like having to manipulate environment in many ways. Now, this also got me thinking because just this, you know, there's been so much change this last like week or two. And I wanted to share with you how I've like let go of control, but at the same time, control to a certain perspective based, I guess, on my own intuition in a way. Let me explain to you what I mean by this. So when I decided to come to Austin, first off, I've been feeling this call to move to Austin for, a while. I've been, I've been in Sedona. I originally made the move from Las Vegas, which is where I was born and raised, to then going to, uh, Sedona. And initially what happened is I moved in with a friend of mine, also an entrepreneur, and we had an investment house there. But then COVID happened, so the plans kind of changed because then the idea was for him at least to get out of San Diego, and then he went to Sedona full-time. And I was like, oh, I need my own house type thing. So after about 6 to 8 months of that, I then bought my own house in January of this year. And what happened is I bought my own house and this is kind of where it got tricky because I became so invested in this house. I bought a house that I loved, had a great view, but the house was very outdated. So I put what I thought I was gonna put was 50 grand into this house to make it like what I wanted. That didn't turn out so well. I ended up putting about $200,000 into this house to make it look the way that I wanted. And it's a beautiful home, by the way. It's like in the perfect spot in Sedona. It's close to a whole bunch of hiking trails. I love that house. It's amazing. And I did get new granite throughout the whole thing. Like, the stuff just keeps adding up. And then there was also some unexpected things that happened with the house. The roof had to be, I had an inspection report and everything, but the inspection didn't pick up on a lot of things that went wrong. So it's an interesting thing I'm dealing with now, but the roof had to be completely replaced. The day I moved in, it snowed. So I was driving back, it was snowing and it's a flat roof. So the snow from it like cracked different parts of the walls and there was just leaks and stuff throughout the house. And after that, there were like little things. This thing called a grinder pump. This little grinder pump thing that goes out to the sewer that grinds things up so it can go out to the sewer. It's not on septic, but it was, that piece alone was like $6,000. It cost $8,400 just to have that fixed. Okay, there's another expense. I realized like I rented my whole life growing up and all of a sudden I'm like, oh, I'm gonna buy a house. Well, I bought a house and then I had all these expenses. Like little things too. There's a crawl space underneath the house, which means there's like 5 to 10, you know, 5 feet of like space. And there's like all these rats and stuff that you gotta get, like I gotta figure out because they've torn up insulation, wires and stuff. And then I also put a lot of cosmetic stuff in it. I put a steam shower in the house. I redid all the tile throughout the whole entire house. It was old tile, carpet throughout the whole house. It's now all like really nice hardwood. I put a lot into it and I love the house and it's beautiful. And I even had an amazing interior designer come in and interior design the house based on my needs. And I basically was very invested in this house. I move in and it was like, I was like, oh, the vibe here is so good. And prior moving to Sedona, what I would do is I would be in Vegas and I'd go to Sedona with especially a buddy of mine, Victor. And we'd go like every, you know, 2 or 3 months, we'd go for like 5, 3 days. And it was always perfect. And then we come back and it was always just the right amount of time. I mean, we could have stayed longer, but eventually I ended up moving there and then I lived there for about a year and I lived in my own house from January all the way up until June. And I was traveling throughout that as well. But there was just something about it where I felt like I was a little bit too, being in Sedona, just to get to the airport's an hour and a half away. 2 hours away, 2 hours away from the airport. So if I wanna fly to Costa Rica or even Los Angeles or anywhere, before I even get on the plane, I'm 2 hours deep in travel every single time. And then what happened is, yeah, just being there is awesome, but it's a very introspective place. And it's funny, I had a session with Bashar, who is somebody that you guys may know. I've talked a lot about in the past. Bashar is like an Abraham Hicks type thing where he's a channeler. And my buddy Victor and I had a session and I was talking to him and I was like, you know, the energy of Sedona is very, on spiral dynamics, it's very green, which means it very much enhances like going inwards, like being in nature, eating healthy, like very positive things in life. But at the same time, I found it hard for me to get into business mode in Sedona. Now there's a purpose, you know, there's a purpose in being in business mode and there's a purpose being in creative land and going inwards. And I did more personal growth than I've ever done in my life in Sedona by living there for a year, for sure. And Sedona back in the day too, I guess used to be like some form of, like plant medicine place where the Native Americans would go to do plant medicine. And that resonates with me. I feel like Sedona itself is plant medicine. You don't need to go there and do it. You go there, it is plant medicine. It activates stuff inside of you. The energy there is so powerful. There's a lot of, whatchamacallit, in the rocks. There's a lot of iron. Yeah, there's a lot of iron in the rocks and there's just a high frequency there. It's very interesting. To even explain, but basically I bought that house, I put money into it and it's an amazing house and I love it, but the energy of Sedona is not sustained for the next level that I feel like I'm going with my business. My business is, I want to like do live events. I want to start doing more in-person interaction. You can do that in Sedona. It's just much harder for people to come and visit So if I'm requiring, if I want people to come to an event in Sedona, they have to travel to Phoenix and fly and then they have to get like a shuttle for 2 hours to Sedona. And it just makes it a little bit more challenging and maybe eventually, you know, I do retreats out there or something, but to just go out for like a day or 2 event, it might be a lot for people, but also the energy there. When I was talking to Bashar, I was asking him, I was like, you know, when I go to Sedona, "It seems like it's really easy for me to do personal work, but doing business is a little bit like, if I'm thinking about like, you know, strategy of my business and like, you know, doing meetings and all this stuff, it seems a little bit more forced." And he's like, I was like, "Am I gonna be in Sedona or is that a good place for me to live?" And he kind of alluded that you'll go in and out of Sedona, back and forth between Vegas and Sedona and you'll feel it out type thing. And Bashar doesn't, ever like, he doesn't like just tell you exactly what's gonna happen 'cause there's nothing set, you know? But he could tell that I'd go back and forth. And I feel like what I'm doing now is I just felt this calling to Austin and now with Austin, I'm going back and forth. And, but here's the thing is I'm so invested in that house because it's so amazing. I bought all new furniture for it. I had it interior designed, but now I just feel like I wanna simplify my life and I wanna go to Sedona when I wanna go on vacation. So I could just rent, an Airbnb because I can't Airbnb my house. My house is in an HOA, so I can't do, you know, it's just pretty much a house that's sitting there and it's a nice house that's sitting there. And recently the real estate agent that sold my house to me came over to my house and saw all the renovations like, oh, I could easily get this much for your house. And it's like, I'd be making like quite a bit of money, like $500,000 to $700,000 in the last couple months. On just the equity in the house because Sedona is going crazy real estate market-wise. And there's a big letting go factor of this because I'm so invested. And I think this happens sometimes. We become so invested in things emotionally and energetically that to let it go, it seems dumb. But sometimes the letting go may be the path of least resistance. So quick reminder as well is with all the craziness happening in the world, We are going to be rising above it energetically in a 3-day Own Your Vibe Challenge that starts on March 18th, 19th, and 20th. This is a 3-day transformational experience. It is absolutely free, and I'm going to be going live on YouTube. I'm going to be going live, and there's going to be a challenge, like a high vibe group. We're going to be going through a process of transforming our vibration from the inside out, and the main focus of it is going to be to be getting our own frame, getting in our own body, embodying who we really came here to be. And so that we can set boundaries easily, we can be leading in our own life and in our own frame and not diffusing our energy out to everything that's happened in the world, other people's emotional state. And we're going to learn how to raise our vibe and then keep it high. So if you want to join the Own Your Vibe Challenge, we're starting soon, March 18th, 19th, and 20th. There's only so many spots available, but it is completely free. Free. So click the link below, grab your spot, and I'm looking forward to see you on those 3 days of transformation. I've seen people that they may have like, maybe you've been off and on in a relationship for like 2, 3 years and you just feel invested and you, you'd kind of feel dumb if you just completely let it go. So you keep it going because you don't want to feel like you had wasted time, you know. But now what I'm feeling is what I think I'm going to end up doing is I'm probably going to end up Originally I was like, oh, Sedona and Austin, it seems like such a good balance to go back and forth. But now I crave simplicity. I just kind of wanna be in Austin. There's a whole synchronicity behind the Austin house that I found as well. And then I just wanna travel and I wanna do events and I wanna like, you know, build a tribe and a community. And there's just a lot of other things I wanna do. And I feel like Austin for me is like a place for my hub. Also, not gonna lie to you guys, I mean, a big part of it too is taxes. Taxes in Arizona, I'd be paying like 8% tax, of state tax. And then in Texas is zero, zero state income tax, which I'm used to from Las Vegas. So there's a couple benefits going to there. One's a business benefit, one's an energetic benefit. When I'm in Texas, it's so easy for me to like focus on the business. And then there's all this nature out here that I had no idea. I was at the lake yesterday for hours, like for hours. 5 hours, we rented a boat, me and my buddy Victor and his family. We rented a boat, we go out, we did wakeboarding. No, we didn't do wakeboarding, we tried. That was extremely hard and challenging. I did not figure that one out. None of us did. We're gonna try that again. But we ended up doing a, what do you call it? Like just on a, not a raft, but we were being pulled on this little thing. What's it called? It's not wakeboarding, it's tubing. We went tubing. And it was so much fun, oh my God. And there's this huge lake out here and it's like, so green and humid and naturey. I had no idea this is in Texas. And I always felt called to it. My mom was born in Austin, Texas. And I just kind of always like felt like, oh, I'll check that out one day. And I just, I fell in love with it when I got here. And I have a lot of like business entrepreneur friends that live out here and I've met a lot of cool people out here. So this just feels like a good move for me. And it was funny because, I'm letting go of a big aspect of myself in Sedona and I could keep the house and I could go back and forth, but I just feel like simplicity is key. Why keep that big asset just invested when I could free up also that money invested in other things? And I don't know, there's a lot of aspects to this, but there's that letting go of like being so invested in something that it feels almost dumb to let go, but at the same time, I feel free if I did that. Even all the stuff in the house that I have, I bought some super nice things and I'm almost thinking like, man, I could just sell everything or like sell it with the house or something and get a little bit more for the house. Like that letting go, the minimalism of it is kind of scary, but at the same time, it's kind of exciting. It's like, I feel free of things. Like I have, that's just kind of, so anyways, now when we talk also about control, sometimes I think that like, I'm a very, when I'm around other people, people feed on my energy because I have a lot of it. And sometimes I can tell like, you know, there's that personality thing that I talk about with my friend. I've talked about when actually I've learned it's called this personality code or personality matrix. There's controller, there's promoter, there's analyzer, there's supporter. These are the 4 different aspects of this personality matrix. And people are either a supporter or a controller as their dominant, as one of them. And then on the other side, there's the analyzer and the promoter. Those are like opposites of each other. So either one or the other. And it's funny 'cause I am for sure a promoting controller. And that's my dominant, like promoting controller promoter is like, think of like promoter, someone that's like a hype beast. Somebody like sells houses, normally promoter. They like get excited about things. They don't analyze every other detail. They kind of go based on feeling. It's a promoter. A controller is somebody that's results-based, results-oriented, controls different aspects of their life. Certainty is like a value of theirs. They need things to, to know what they're doing. Then we have that of analyzers, somebody that really thinks about things before they make decisions. And they kind of obsess about different details and they kind of get stuck in their head a lot about things. And then supporter is somebody that supports other people. They're normally more relational based and they get like value out of helping, you know? And I'm a promoting controller as my dominant, but I can also tap into analyzer and supporter qualities. And the idea is that you become balanced in all of them. But the awareness I found is key. I think I have a whole episode on this somewhere. But in general, the reason I'm saying this is because yes, there's a part of me that likes to control different aspects of my life, 'cause I'm very results-based. And your secondary is your primary. So I'm a promoting controller. Some people can be controlling promoters, which means that they're more promoter than controllers, but that's like their secondary, you know? So your secondary is the first one. And some people can just be just pure ones. My friend's dad, her dad is a straight up promoter. Like, that's it. Like, you're the promoter. But I think there's balance in being able to balance them all out. Now, when we talk about control, I am a promoting controller. And once again, these labels I find can help us become more self-aware, but they are not, we could become too attached to them. It can also become a crutch. Because then if I'm like, I am specifically a promoting controller, maybe it makes it so I can't tap into my analyzing and supporting, a supporter mentality, right? So it's kind of interesting. So anyways, I wanted to kind of share this little story. So I had this strong feeling that this is gonna be where I moved. I came here a couple months ago, no, about a month ago for just for a week, 5 days, just to check it out and feel the vibe because I knew that I wanted to get a place here, but I don't wanna like, find a place to rent and all this stuff. Maybe I come here and I hate it. It was between here and Miami. Came to Austin, immediately knew that this is the spot. I landed, it was raining and it just felt so good. And the city and the downtown, the lake, there's a lake that runs through the city and stuff. It was just super cool. And basically what happened is I then go and I start experiencing Austin and it's amazing. I eventually made the choice, okay, I'm gonna move here. And the controller in me then is like looking into online at different houses. And I'm not gonna lie, like the housing market here is extremely challenging because there's so many people moving here. And there's like, for the price range that I wanted to spend, and it's, you know, I want it like a luxury place and stuff. The value of mine is like where I live. I like to live in like a nice environment. So I'm not, I'm like willing, it's something I'm not willing to, it's something I'm willing to spend more on just so I have like a really cool environment. And I'm like, okay, here's my budget. And there's like only like 12 houses in the areas, you know, throughout Austin of where I'd be looking to live, like 12 houses or something like that that are within that price range. So there's not much option. So very important quick reminder is that every single Sunday at 9:00 AM Pacific Standard Time or 12:00 Eastern Time, we come together for a live meditation, a live teaching, and a live Q&A Q&A here on this YouTube channel. So if you haven't checked that out yet, I highly recommend joining one of those. There's an energy that grows every single week when we do it, and we not only change our own lives by tapping into this group collective energy, but it's changing the energy of the planet. So if you want to join in on this, if you want to experience it, then hit the subscribe button below and the notification bell so that you can get notified when we go live every single Sunday. Now about 3 or 4 days in, I realized, okay, I definitely wanna be here. And I called my assistant. I'm like, okay, can you send me like all the houses that are possible? Get on Craigslist everywhere. I wanna find it. Like before I leave, I wanna see some houses. And my controller started to try to control things rather than surrendering and letting the universe flow, letting this happen. Well, sometimes I think there's a benefit in this. Me taking action to do that was telling the universe I'm ready to find a place here. So I started, I even went with like found some real estate person and went to like two different houses, looked at for renting. And I looked at them and I kind of liked them or no, I didn't. They were okay, but they weren't, you know, I knew that they weren't the house, but I was putting, I was doing the action and putting the energy out there. And then what happened is I kind of let it go. It's like, you know, I'm trying to force this a little bit too much. And I was talking to my friend Anna and she said something smart and good. She was like, you know, you're gonna find the house when you come out here next time. Because the deal was I was gonna come out here actually this time that I'm here right now for the last 2 weeks of June, which is when I'm recording this episode. And the idea is that in this 2 weeks I'd find my house. Well, what happened is the 5 days that I came earlier, I came like a month ago for 5 days 'cause I really wanted to feel it out before I came here and I was making the choice to move here. But those 5 days I already made the choice and I was trying to force things to happen in those 5 days. My friend Anna was like, just let it go. You know that you're gonna find the right house in the 2 weeks that you're here. So just let go. And that was a nice little reminder. So thank you for that. And basically I was like, okay, I'm gonna let it go. So I let it go. I put out some of the action. I kind of told the universe, yes, I wanna be in Austin and I wanna find the perfect house for me. So that night, The next day I'm with my friend here. His name's Aaron as well. He has like a podcast. He's a cool guy. He's known as the Align Guy. And anyway, so we'll eventually be doing podcasts together. But anyways, he invited me to this like dinner, this community dinner thing where it's like, oh, it's like a house party dinner thing. And with a friend named Justin, that's like also a friend of ours, real cool guy. Met him, vibed with him. And then, you know, I got invited to this dinner. I go to this dinner, there's like 30 people there. And by the way, maybe I'll tell this whole story. This is kind of interesting, but basically there's like 30 people there. They're all really cool. Many of them are entrepreneurs. They do what I do. And I'm like, wow, the tribe out here is like really powerful and getting to know people. And he's in a beautiful spot of Austin. I was like, man, this place is awesome. And he introduces me to one of his friends and one of his friends, just, you know, moved, has been in Austin a while and moved here with his girlfriend. And he had basically got to tell him, oh, you know, I'm moving here, blah, blah, blah, looking for this kind of place. And he's like, oh, well guess what? You know, I have a house that we just moved into a new house that we were renovating for a while. And we moved out of a house that we lived in for 2 years. And it's about a mile away from here. And I don't wanna rent it to just anybody. I wanna rent it to like a friend. And if I rent to like a friend or someone I know, I'll feel safe with that and I'll rent it for cheaper than I would rent it to like, you know, someone in the public. And this is a house that he could easily be renting for like $7,000 or $8,000 a month. It's like a really nice house. It's in the best location, one of the best locations for like getting around in Austin. And it's like, oh, and at first I was kind of like, eh, we'll see. You know, I didn't know what kind of house it was and stuff. And he showed me photos of it. I'm like, wow, this house is amazing. I have this thing for one-story houses. I love houses that are just one story. I don't like going upstairs. Maybe I'm just lazy, but I like open floor plan, one-story houses. And there's this house that he shows me pictures of and there's like this atrium. When you walk into the house, there's an office, there's this atrium where you can put plants and stuff and it's like these big windows. And then there's just a real cool vibe throughout the house. It's got this like retro look, it's modern. There's skylight throughout the house. Like the shower's like huge in the master. I like nice showers. There's like a, there's a nice little like courtyard in the middle, in the backyard of the house, kind of that's got a lot of grass. And I love the, I love grass. I'm from Vegas, born and raised. So there's not having grass is like, to me, like a luxury, you know, just a beautiful house. And basically from that one dinner party, I met a lot of other people too. I met some people from that, like kind of do what I do as well. And it was just like a cool small world type thing. But anyways, there's this funny thing too. We were smoking out of a Volcano vaporizer tobacco, just tobacco. This Volcano, my friend Justin has this really cool Volcano vaporizer. I have the same Volcano. It's like back in the day they'd used to use it to smoke ganja out of, but you can use it for like tobacco and you can use it for like putting incense, not incense, but, like lavender and stuff in it. And you can, it's like a really cool way. So it's very pure way of like ingesting these herbs, you know? And I haven't smoked weed in years. Like I really haven't smoked weed in like years. And since 2012, I smoked weed all day, every day, quit, every now and then I would do it, but it was funny. So we're smoking and they're passing around this bag, which is, you know, of tobacco. And I love tobacco. I don't smoke cigarettes. You know, I do rapé. Which like goes up the nose, kind of intense. But they put this in this bag. And then what happens is it's getting passed around and we're smoking it and everything's great. And then like somebody goes and reloads the bowl and didn't realize, no one knew, we weren't told this, but there were like 3 piles of different tobacco, but one of them was ganja, it's cannabis. So basically what happens is they pass around this bag, Taking huge hits of it, thinking it's tobacco, tastes a little funky. I find out that it's completely packed full of ganja. So I was taking these huge rips of cannabis and I hadn't smoked in a long time and I got higher than I've been since 2012. I was like, oh my, I was just sitting there talking to people, like engaging. And all of a sudden I'm like, wow, I'm high as shit right now. I am super, super, and I felt good. I felt really good. Part of me, because I used to smoke so much and then I stopped, it's like there's this control factor where I'd feel paranoid if I did it. I didn't feel that. I felt actually good. So it was like me letting go of control. Like, okay, this happened, everything's fine. But there was a part of me that like, for sure wasn't used to that. And the funny thing was right before we ate is our friend Justin had this amazing like, all this food, so much food, wait, like enough food for 30 people. And this, all these different variations of food, like it was amazing. And before he does that though, they did this like community thing where we all go around and say what we're grateful for, right? So here I am just higher than I've ever, than I've been like 10 years or not 10 years, but like 8 years. I had to give like a speech in front of like 30 people, which, you know, I love speaking and stuff, but it was just funny 'cause I was so high. And I was like, it was a funny speech though, 'cause I talked about how I was grateful for greenery and also the green of marijuana because I hadn't done it in 8 years, but now I did. And like everything's good and I feel connected to everybody and everything, you know, and also just being in Austin in general. But it was just a funny thing to have to like, I had to let go of control in that moment. Also just like absorb into the moment, give a speech, like a little mini speech as we were going around like for half an hour and everyone's sharing what they're grateful for. Must be a community thing out here where it's like, you know, it's kind of a cool vibe. I'm sure a lot of people like, you know, feeling that connection, but doing stuff like that. But anyways, that's my, so then after that, awesome connecting a whole bunch of people there. Then what happens is I go to that house. He gives me like the lock code to that house that's like a mile away. And I immediately walked in like, this is the house. Like I love this house. And to find out that this guy not only wants to rent it out, but he also wants to sell the house. And the housing market here is so crazy that everything gets bidded up so much. So basically I'm moving into the house that I could potentially buy. We're in the process of doing that now, if everything goes well. And it's like, it worked out even better than I could have imagined once I let go. But I did also take a little bit of control and set the intention by showing the universe this is what I wanna do. So that's like part of the control, letting go, letting go of outcome. And I've had this happen before with other houses, by the way, too, where the house in Vegas that I wanted, there was a house like 2 houses ago in Vegas when I was first growing on YouTube and I started making money. I was like, oh, I want this house. And there was so much competition for the house. There was literally 8, there was like, I think 5 or 6 other people that were trying to get this house. So I was one of many. And basically what I did is I used this manifestation technique. You can call it whatever you want. I've shared it before where it's called outer intention. It came from a book that I used to read. But basically what outer intention is, is you set the intention that the other, you kind of like set the intention that it's not just you that wants it, but it like that thing wants you in a way. So basically what I would do is, this house that I want, right? Want means lack too, but like it's an intention, I guess, that I'm gonna intend to have, intend to be in, also intends for me to be in it. It's almost like giving not a persona to an inanimate object necessarily, but the way that I did that with that old house is I had the people that were renting it out, I wrote them a letter and I said, hey, Hey, I just want you to know that I applied for this house and I think your house is beautiful and I plan on, I would love to live in it. I work from home, so it's important for me to have a place that I love living in. I don't have crazy amount of people over. I just kind of do my own thing. I'm very focused on my business and I'll keep it clean and I'll respect your home and blah, blah, blah. And that's called outer intention because I'm tapping into their inner intention. Their inner intention is to have a house that's well taken care of that someone appreciates. So when they saw that, they chose me out of like the 6 other people that applied. And that was like, okay, that's, I've always had kind of good luck with houses in a way. So in the same way, I kind of believe, like I have this mentality that Austin wants me to live here first off, 'cause I'll be doing a lot of live events here and I'll be able to travel easier 'cause the airport here is awesome. And it's part of it. I feel like this house wants me to be there because I'm gonna be doing higher consciousness stuff in the house. This house is also a 9 house. On numerology and a 9 house in numerology is a house for like healing and doing stuff for the collective consciousness. And it's like a good powerful number for me, I find. So I just, I really resonate with this house and I am excited to move into it. And I've had to really let go of control. I've had to let go of outcome and kind of trust. Now when I talk about tapping into other people's inner intention, Part of the controller in me, of course, my buddy Victor and his wife Patty and his 3 kids, they've been going back and forth as well from Sedona to Vegas. And they are from Michigan originally. They moved to Sedona. No, they moved to San Diego. And then Victor and I met in 2017 and we started talking on the phone and then we got to know each other well. We became like best friends. And then he eventually traveled to Vegas and we went to a Bashar conference thing or whatever, a little Bashar event. And we connected and we collabed on a YouTube video. And then what happened is we became even more best friends, but basically he had the seed that was planted of moving to Vegas. And he's like, what's it like to live here? And I started telling him, you know, it's not like what you see in shows or movies or what you would think. It's not like you go to the casinos all the week, you know, every day. And he found the Red Rocks out there and that kind of sold him because he liked the Red Rocks so much, which is like a little bit outside of Vegas, but it's there. Basically what happened is he moved to Vegas and then, you know, it was cool having him, we became even closer. We started traveling together, we started doing events together and stuff like that. And, you know, he does YouTube as well. And then what happened is, Yeah, he got settled in there with his family. And then we both got a place in Sedona. I got a place in Sedona, he got a house in Sedona. And we were going back and forth for a while, both of us in our own ways, you know, just as friends. And it was kind of cool 'cause it would overlap. And we do our like retreats every year, our plant medicine retreats in Costa Rica and stuff. And I just had this strong feeling, maybe it was my ego, whatever, but I had this strong feeling that Victor and his wife and his kids are meant to be in Austin. Okay, that's what I felt. And maybe it's selfish of me because I want them here because they're like my family, but I really felt it too. I really feel intuitively like they're meant to be here. And in this weird thing, they were in Vegas going back and forth from Vegas to Sedona. And their things is like the kids, they have 3 kids, like 12 years old, like 8 years old and like 5 years old. So everything's about the kids and like what's best for them. They know in Vegas, they don't wanna raise their kids in Vegas just 'cause most kids in Vegas are just on their cell phones all day or playing video games. And there's just not a great schooling system out there. And they want their kids to go to this thing called a Waldorf school. This Waldorf school is like this magical school that like was by Rudolf Steiner. It's like really experiential learning. And the people that teach it, you know, really love what they do. And the kids come out really, smart and just different and creative. So anyways, Victor was coming here after I experienced it for 5 days. You know, the gym's out here amazing. There's so many aspects of my own life out here that I love. You know, there's a place to go get IVs done whenever I want, you know, amazing food out here. So Victor came out here and he just did not want to enjoy it out here. He came out here and he just wanted to, 'cause he didn't wanna get confused 'cause he's more of an analyzer. So he's an analyzing, Analyzing Controller or Analyzing Supporter. He kind of pops back and forth, but on his personality profile. So the way he thinks is he has to get data and he has to, he doesn't really feel into it as much. He just like gets the data and then logically thinks about it for like a while before he makes a decision. So he comes here and at first, I mean, we're in the city, we're staying in this Airbnb that I'm at now, which is awesome, but we're in the city and the city's not the vibe for him and his family. So we're here and we're going to cool places to eat. We go to the gym and stuff, which is cool. We go to the lake that's close by. It's in the city, that's cool. And I can tell he's kind of vibing with it, but kind of not because he can't see how his family would be here when he's just seeing the city, right? So this one day, he's here for 3 days. This one day, I just knew, I just knew him and his family are gonna move here. I just felt it, right? right? So what I did is there's a Waldorf school in Sedona as well, but the drawback to Sedona is just so spread out. There's a lot of nature to do, but it's just a little bit, they knew that, they know that they'd eventually have to move somewhere else if they lived in Sedona, because when the kids got a little bit older, the Waldorf school there only goes to 8th grade. So basically what happened is I, him and I were going to get our, to get our IVs done for this thing called NAD, which is like this anti-aging thing that feels extremely uncomfortable to get, but it's like supposed to be good for the body and the telomeres in the body and stuff. Anyways, we go to this place to do it, but I trick Victor. What I do is I set him up an appointment at Waldorf at 1 o'clock and we had our, I told him that our IV was at 1, it was actually at 2. So an Uber picks us up. We go to this place we think is the IV place. It's actually the Waldorf School. And we get out and I'm like, don't be mad at me, bro. We're at the Waldorf School right now. We had an appointment with one of the teachers and he was like, no, we're not moving to Sedona, blah, blah, blah, blah. But I'll just kind of walk around and check it out, you know? 'Cause there's a K through 12 grade and it's one of the only like K through 12 grades. There's not that many of them in the US, I guess. So that means that once the kids are in school there, they will graduate from that school. They don't have to like go to different schools. They have stability. And Victor and Patty, Victor's wife Patty, and the kids, they're getting tired of going back and forth from Vegas to Sedona, Vegas to Sedona, back and forth. So they kind of want to simplify things, but they know that neither Sedona or Vegas is the long-term play. It's kind of a short-term thing. Basically, Victor starts to open up a little bit during this Waldorf school tour and we didn't have that much time 'cause we had to get to our next appointment for the IV thing. But he kind of started opening up towards the last part of it. The lady was really cool that was giving the tour and it was like a little mini Hogwarts. That's what I thought was cool. And basically what I did is I just let go. I'm like, dude, you just do whatever you want with this. I know that if you're meant to be in Austin, you'll come to Austin. I'm happy being here. And I know that this is my spot. Is where I'm gonna be. And basically, I've been saying basically a lot. I'm like paying attention to some of the words that I say a lot repetitiously, but basically is how I like summarize a whole bunch of other stuff I could say but don't wanna say or just don't need to go into. But basically what happened is he had the seeds planted. He then goes home, tells Patty, his wife, on the phone about it 'cause it's just him here. And his wife's like, she just feels this calling to come to Austin too. And she's very intuitive. And then what happened is the next day, him and I went to an amazing hike. We looked at Lake Travis, we went to the Bee Cave area, which is like this area of Austin that's like more nature-y. And then he started to see how his family could live here. And his wife was like kind of opened him up too. And then all of a sudden he had like, he started getting his own synchronicity and stuff, but he had to open to it. He had to like, hear it and slow. And I was like, I'm in an awkward position because I feel like you guys are meant to be here. But at the same time, I have to let go of trying to control. And 'cause otherwise you're thinking I'm just being selfish and I just want you here 'cause I want you guys around 'cause you guys are like my family. But I really feel like this is like the perfect place for you guys to raise a family. There's like so much nature out here. And once he started opening to it, it was amazing how like the synchronicities and everything of just him seeing it I'm getting excited. And then what happened is he then goes back to Vegas. I get the text the next day that him and his whole family are driving out here. So him, his whole family drive 20 hours to Austin. They stay on the lake, they stay in kind of the nature area. And I just completely let go of even trying to control the outcome, but still knowing that intuitively, like I felt called to set that Waldorf. Appointment. And here's the other interesting thing with that appointment. The night before we're talking and I'm like trying to figure out what I'm gonna do with my house in Sedona. And the idea is, oh, I can have Victor, Victor may rent my house in Sedona. Maybe I'll just have him rent it. I'm probably gonna end up selling the house now, but I was gonna have him rent it and with his family and everything. And then I just live here and I almost canceled that Waldorf appointment, but something told me not to. And I'm glad I didn't because now, 'cause he seemed very set that he's like, we're just gonna go and we're just gonna go from Sedona to Phoenix and we're gonna go back and forth every now and then. But that just didn't feel right. I could just tell it was like he was trying to talk himself into it, but didn't really believe it. Basically, here I go again with basically, him and his family came out here. We spent 3 or 4 days out. They've been out here for 3 or 4 days. We went to the lake yesterday all day. It was amazing. But the day before that, we went to this amazing hike thing. They ended up finding a house that they're moving into in that perfect area, having their kids go to that Waldorf school. Everything has happened so quickly. It doesn't make sense how quickly things have happened over this last couple weeks, but it's like all about letting go and allowing. And part of this is like, I have to let go of that house. I'm letting go of like an old past version of me too to get to the next level. So now here's the content. I wanted to share those stories with you just 'cause I felt like they kind of explain like, you know, even for Victor, It doesn't really make sense to him and his family, but he's also, he did something that I recommended he do. I said, dude, you should sit down with your whole family and ask the kids also what they want. And he's like, that's a good idea. So he did that. And the kids were like, we don't wanna be in Sedona. We don't wanna be, we wanna be in Vegas, but being in Vegas wasn't an option for Patty and Victor. So they're like, okay, well then what if it's Austin or Sedona? They said, well, Austin, 'cause they also have amazing sports out here and their kids all love sports. So basically, here we go again. Basically, I'm gonna get tired. I'm gonna pinch myself every time I say it. He has to let go of many aspects and have a big transition time. And sometimes letting go of the old is scary because the old is known. It's like something that you know, it's something you're familiar with. And even for me, letting go of that house, scary because it's like I'm so invested in it and I feel very certain about this Austin move, but still at the same time, I'm going through the process of buying this house. So what if something doesn't go right and then I move and spend like a lot of money to move all that furniture here? Like there's a lot of ifs, but this is like a big transition time now on the planet, I think too. I feel like a lot of people are going through a big transition and it's very interesting to see people letting go and wiring in and kind of trusting this process. Aaron Doughty, but in general as well, the thing that I wanted to talk about this, this whole thing is like the locus of control. Now the locus of control is your sense of where, like locus means location. So do you draw your locus of control from the internal or the external? Now, People that draw it from the internal, what that means is they try to control different aspects of their life. If they get a good grade on a test, it was because they did that. If they go and ask somebody out, it was because they did that. They controlled the situation where they asked somebody out and somebody said yes. Somebody that has a locus of control that is external, what happens then is they base their sense of control is all externally based in the sense that If they ask some, if somebody says yes to them going out, they got lucky. If they got a good or bad grade on a test, it's not praise or blame, it's normally more blame. It's like something external is the reason. And there's a benefit to having a balance of both and understanding both sides of it. Now, one of the challenging parts of having the locus of control that's external is that when your sense of self-worth and self-validation is based on the external, you're gonna go look for it in other people. You're gonna look for it in other environments and you're gonna try to find it. And the challenge with that is that then in relate, that's what causes codependency and neediness in relationship is that people are looking for validation on the outside. They're looking for validation from, other people. And what happens is from that, it's like they're not validating themselves. So it's like they're looking for it and other people, they then normally will find codependent people that like sometimes are even narcissists that don't wanna give it back or that like kind of play with that dynamic. So it's very important to understand where is your locus of control? Is it internally where you have a sense of self-worth, self-esteem, or is everything happening to you? I guess one is like what's happening for you and what's happening to you. And people that maybe have been through a lot of trauma growing up maybe are more prone to having like the things happen to me type mentality. Those normally are externally locus of control people. And you can move more internally by realizing this balance of both. It's really the answer is a balance of both. You have the ability to give your life meaning. And based on the meaning you give things is the meaning you get out of it. But if you believe that meaning is handed to you, that's when things change. Like I could tell it was even a shift for my friend Victor moving here because the house that he ended up getting has a couple numbers in it that he gives negative meaning to, negative synchronicity to, because it represents some fear to him. But the numbers added up, it means it's— he's moving into an 8 house. An 8 house is a very expansive house numerologically speaking. So it's interesting to me though, because that meaning is up to him, but he normally has like this old fearful meaning that he's given to 1 or 2 numbers out of this 4-number address. And now that he's given it, you can easily switch it and give it a positive meaning. But sometimes he's looking to the outside for external validation when it's a mixture of both. Patty was internally feeling called to it. His kids are internally feeling called to it, but he had to like come to this conclusion himself. And once he opened, he then started getting the external validation. But instead of looking for like all these signs, you know, on the outside. So it's a little bit of both, but The thing that I encourage you to look at is what can you let go of for this phase of your life right now? Can you let go of needing validation? Because if you could generate validation from the inside, that's when you're gonna feel more powerful. Can you not need validation from other people? What is your sense of self-worth? What is your sense of you being in your own frame as well? A huge shift for me is like being in my own body, in my own frame. And it's like, what do I want to do? Sometimes I lose my sense of self when I'm thinking about other people because it's an old pattern where the locus of control was on the external, where it's I can control people, get people's validation, make them happy, then I feel good. But now I'm starting to, I've really been focused like more on what feels good in my own body. What do I want? And as I start focusing on that, my life has changed in many ways. And being in that is like being in your own body, being in your own frame. But I've had to let go of a lot of things that didn't serve me. I've had to let go of past relationships to attract love in. I've had to let go of an old identity of just being a YouTuber to start being this new version of me that's doing, you know, bringing communities together and doing things live. I've had to let go of attachment to outcome, even this house. Like I set the intention, then I let go of outcome, but letting go of control is really about trusting the universe and looking at this other aspect that I'm talking about as well, as well, where you realize that what if the things that you want also want you? How can you allow them in? How can you let it be easy? Now that Victor and his family are focused and open to hearing this, most of his family was already, it's like he literally just found the perfect house. Everything is smooth. And even as he goes back now, there's a little bit, it's like, okay, he's got this house in Sedona, he's got this house in Vegas. He wants to close out one. He's probably gonna Airbnb his house in Sedona. And there's like, what do I do? I got a big transition time. He's got a retreat this weekend and all this other stuff that he'll be leading, but it'll all figure itself out. You can let go of outcome and just kind of trust, but also set intention and understand like, what is your sense of self? You know, so it's like self and other. That's really this locus of control thing too. It's like self, control, intention, ego, which needs to also, we need to have a positive relationship with our ego, not like, you know, be enemies with it necessarily, but the ego normally also push the ego to like get out of the comfort zone and stuff like that, but also realize other at the same time. So it's an interesting dynamic between both because, If we're just focused on other, then we'll just focus on external validation. If we're just focused on self, then that's narcissism. So how can we balance out both? And for me, I'm doing a little bit of both. I'm setting intention. I'm paying attention to how it feels. I'm being in my body. I'm being present. I'm leading in my own life. I'm leading in my own relationship. It feels so different to be in this mode than I was months ago because I used to feel much more codependent or like looking to the outside for validation. And now the funny thing is now that I validate myself, other people also, the validation just comes naturally. Don't have to try for it. But the, the idea is that we can both control and surrender by knowing that that's the middle way. Set intention. There's different layers to it too. When you think about it, you think about control, control. There's a control from the ego perspective. but there's maybe control from the higher self perspective, from a larger aspect of God or source or universe that we can surrender to. What if the universe itself is controlling different aspects and all we have to do is get in alignment. We have to get to vibrational alignment with how we're feeling, doing what we love, thinking about things like encouraging ourself. It's an interesting perspective, but controlling, letting go is one of the same coin. And there's a middle way there. That's, I think, the balanced way where you don't become too lackadaisical and fairy on one side and you don't become too controlling and crazy on the other side. So This is how I feel about letting go, allowing in. The vibration of control can be a powerful thing, but also realizing the universe is working with you. So you can tap into these different perspectives. And when I was with Victor getting, you know, not trying to manipulate him to move here, but like helping him like see how he could live here, it was like I had to tap into what his values were and what was important to him, which is his family. And him seeing the nature parts of Austin, which are completely different than the city. And as I tapped into his own inner intention, he then came to fruition. As I did that with the house that I wanted to buy and I tapped in their own inner intention, it came to fruition. You can leverage these things in positive ways by letting go. I had to let go of the control of wanting him to move here, of caring whether he did or not, but also knowing that give him the tools and give him like the mindset to figure it out, but that's where everything really began to change. If you wanna learn the 5 secrets to letting go that will make you attractive AF, that's this video right here.
