This Video Will Find You When You’re About to Be Chosen

In this solo, livestream‑style talk Aaron Doughty explains what it truly means to "choose yourself" and why many people struggle with it. He argues that choosing yourself is the antidote to self‑abandonment – the habit of saying yes when the body says no, people‑pleasing, and bending one’s identity to gain validation and approval. Doughty traces the root of this pattern to childhood conditioning where love was tied to parental approval, creating a subconscious contract that love equals validation. He differentiates between "nice" (a manipulative, approval‑seeking behavior) and "kind" (an authentic, outcome‑free expression of love). The talk explores the classic codependency triangle of rescuer‑victim‑perpetrator, showing how rescuing and enabling reinforce self‑abandonment. He encourages embracing the "dark side" – standing firm, setting boundaries, and allowing others to experience their own tension without fixing them. Doughty offers practical guidance: recognize moments of self‑abandonment, stop saying yes when you mean no, shift from people‑pleasing to authentic vulnerability, do inner‑child work, and move beyond surface‑level affirmations toward deep belief work. He also addresses how to handle others’ jealousy, envy, or hate by refusing to take responsibility for their emotions. Finally, he frames the whole process spiritually, suggesting that worthiness is neutral, that love is the fundamental nature of the self, and that true freedom comes from no longer playing the "choose me" game but simply being. The video ends with calls to action for live events, coaching programs, and further videos on the "second awakening."

When you begin choosing you, that's when other people have the ability to also choose you. But when you aren't choosing yourself, you are patterning other people to treat you the same way that you are treating you. And this is why one of the most powerful things for many people to do is to begin choosing themselves. But what does it actually even mean when people say choose yourself? Okay, I choose you. Like, what do you do? How do I actually choose myself? And one thing to look at with this, if you really want to begin choosing yourself, is understanding all the ways in which you abandon yourself. What are all the ways in which you bend who you really are to conform to how you think you need to be? What are ways in which your body is saying no, but you're saying yes because you think you should? And think about it. If you even think about it in the form of trust, you must trust you before you can even allow other people for you to trust them or for them to trust you. Because you can be such a good person to everybody else, but if you're abandoning yourself, that breaks confidence. Even the word confidence has the root in it which means to trust, like the Latin root or whatever, has to do with trusting. But trusting yourself means being in integrity with yourself. And this is why one of the biggest things you can go through as a transformation to choosing yourself is understanding choosing to live according to your own values. The values may be of authenticity and vulnerability instead of these subconscious values of validation and approval. Now, if you're someone that finds it hard to choose yourself, let me share with you the deeper shadow work childhood pattern that might be under the surface. What happens is as a kid, if choosing yourself or not feeling chosen by mom and dad, what this can mean is that there is a condition of love that says, in order to feel love, I must gain the approval and the validation of mom and dad. Approval and validation becomes the goal instead of deep love and connection. So to be chosen, to get the deep love and connection, the belief is I must have the condition of validation and approval. And validation and approval is where there is a looking for being chosen. Does this make sense? So people say, "I want to be chosen," but then they already believe that's a condition to love. So what they're doing is they're playing this game where they abandon themselves. They say yes when their body says no. They find themselves people pleasing, trying to please other people because if I can please someone else, then I'll get approval and validation. And you end up abandoning yourself in the process. Now, another shadow side of this, we're gonna go deep on this whole idea of choosing yourself in this live, okay, in this video. Because another shadow side of the choosing yourself thing is you look at people that are people pleasers, nice guys, and people that are trying to be nice. Being nice is an energy that's saying, "Me being nice and ending tension for you is a way in which you will choose me." But why is there the saying that nice guys finish last? Think about that. Why is that true? And some people say, "No, it's not true." Sometimes women will get together and they'll be like, "No." Go for it. It's not true. But what happens is they don't want to be with those people. Those women that say that say that, but they're not attracted to the nice guy. Why? Because to be nice is to be manipulative. To be nice is nice. If I am nice to you, then you'll choose me. Doesn't work that way. When you're nice, there's something a little off. It's not authentic. To be nice is manipulative. So more powerful than being nice is the other side of this where some people will hear this and go, "What do you mean, Aaron? You saying you gotta be mean?" For many people that don't choose themselves, embracing your quote unquote dark side is one of the keys to growth. Dark does not mean evil, manipulative, and conniving. Dark can be you've been easing tension in everyone in your life, so now your power is when instead what you do is you let people go through their tension without trying to fix it. The difference of what I'm sharing with you right here is the difference that can really shift your life from the inside out. When we talk about inside-out transformation, just think about this. Exactly. Nice, manipulative. Nice is, if I am nice and I ease your tension and I please you, then you'll give me what I want, which is validation and approval, or you'll let me feel like a good person. It's manipulative. When you are being kind, that's different. There's no attachment to outcome. It's not a form of control to feel safe. It's kind is who you are. Kind is rooted in a deeper value. Kind is rooted from love and deep connection as a value and authenticity, whereas nice is rooted in wanting validation and approval. And when people are nice, People are manipulative. Now, that thing can also, in some ways, it's like, the thing with this of even saying this is then what happens is we take, with the nice guy, here's another aspect of your growth. If you're a nice guy, a nice person in the sense that you're nice and you're a people pleaser, the reason you don't like what I'm saying right now is because it's flipping the script of being the rescuer, the victim, or the perpetrator. So now you're like, Aaron, I'm not a perpetrator. I'm nice, I'm good. I am good girl, good boy. I am rescuer. This is my role. I feel really good when I rescue people. I feel really good when I ease people's tension. I'm not a perpetrator. But you see, most likely what happened as a kid is you felt like there was someone in your life that was the quote unquote perpetrator. And you said, I don't wanna be anything like them. So in order to not be anything like them, I will save people. I will save people. I am the superhero with the cape, and the more people I save, the better I feel. So I tend to attract partners that I feel I must fix, because if I can fix them, there's a big project for me to work on, and I could feel really good about myself. And subconsciously, if I can fix them, it's like I'm fixing one of my parents. and if I can fix them, I can get them to love me the way that I want. I can show that I am worthy and I am enough. This is the deeper shadow. I'm just trying to break you free. So if you could embrace like, okay, let's talk about choosing yourself. Now, let me share with you a little bit of a story. Have you ever had it where maybe a certain friendship or relationship, someone in your family or someone, a friend, was out of balance, okay? Maybe there's a certain dynamic that was out of balance and you weren't choosing yourself. You were maybe abandoning yourself and saying yes to things you didn't wanna do. Here's one of the challenges with you beginning to choose yourself. This is key. You will begin to choose yourself and in the fix-it or rescuer dynamic, the victim dynamic and the perpetrator triangle, because you start expressing the real you, because you start actually sharing what you really wanna do and you begin choosing you, you may, in some people's minds, go from the rescuer into the perpetrator. You are now the evil person that's actually expressing yourself or that sets a boundary. Or you might not be enabling people in the same way. For a long time, I was helping certain people that I knew. By helping, I was enabling certain people I knew by getting rid of their problems, by giving them money and fixing it, fixing it. And I felt responsible for these people. They're like family members. I felt responsible. I felt in a way guilty in some ways because I had certain things growing up they didn't have, like a present father. So because of that, I felt guilty. So I said, "Okay, I'm gonna help these people. By helping them, I'm going to pay, I'm going to fix, et cetera." And part of me, feeling like I should do, I'm the eldest, most successful person in my family in this way, I should do it. But then guess what happens? Enabling, codependent. That triangle of perpetrator, rescuer, victim, that's a codependency triangle. So really choosing yourself is about breaking your codependency, your codependency to a pattern, your codependency to a person, your codependency to a dynamic. So when I began and I stopped enabling by giving money and fixing, and I let go of the guilt 'cause there was also guilt under the surface. For many of you that have trouble choosing yourself, one of the challenges is you feel guilty choosing yourself. Am I right? Raise the roof if I'm right, huh? Am I right? You feel, so I say, start choosing yourself. You say, Aaron, but that's selfish. How could I do that? That's selfish. What you think of as selfish is actually like, is actually a healthy version of filling up your own cup. You feel, the key is that you feel responsible for other people. That's what guilt is. Guilt is, I feel responsible for you and your tension. I feel responsible because if I stop, pain and fixing or whatever, then you're gonna feel tension and that'll be my fault. And your tension is my tension. And as a kid, it was a survival mechanism for me to ease the tension in my family. And you're in my family or in my friend group, et cetera, I must also ease your tension. Guess what ends up happening? You take on that burden. You take it on and you carry it with you and you say this, You guys say, Aaron, how do I choose myself? I have this huge burden on me where I have to make everybody else happy and I need to ease the tension in the family, etc. How do I choose myself? And part of what I'm saying is, you wanna know what you do? You let go. You let go of believing it's your responsibility. How do I do that? Let yourself feel the tension that comes up when you, if you were to set, like let tension be your initiation into a new way of being, right? If you have a question, by the way, about choosing yourself, put it in the little Q&A question mark thing below. Let's keep it to choosing yourself, abandoning yourself, stuff about that. Respecting yourself. Here's the other thing. When you begin expressing the real you, so I started doing that with family members and I allowed them, here's the other key. You guys want a key and a way that you could still feel good about yourself and also let people go through their own stuff? When you do it, don't see them as the victim that can't handle it. Don't see them as the victim that needs you. Realize you get a payoff for believing that people need you. Instead, see them as powerful and able to figure it out. That's what I did. Instead of seeing, oh, these people in my family, they need me, and I'm like, okay, now you're gonna deal with your own stuff. Oh my gosh, they're gonna crash and burn. I said, no, they can figure it out. They have the power inside of themselves. They're eternal spiritual beings that have the ability to figure out. I'm here if they need emotional support, but I do not need to physically just pay because then they'll just keep coming back for it and they're not learning, enabling. So don't see them as broken. That could be a big, much bigger benefit. And then realize you may respo— If I feel responsible for other people, I assume that I would know the way in which they're meant to be, that means I'm supposed to, and what am I getting out of that? Out of the enabling energy, you get codependency, you get to feel needed, you get to feel good. But your breakthrough around choosing yourself is letting yourself be quote unquote selfish, which you will have a lot of resistance to if you don't normally fill up your own cup. You might be afraid that as a kid, there was a perpetrator in that dynamic that was bad and you don't wanna be like them, I get it. But all because you set a boundary, all because you say no, all because you choose to be authentic even and vulnerable, even if that brings up stuff for other people, doesn't mean you're being selfish. It means you're being real and authentic. And what you get when you begin letting go of validation and approval is you will begin to allow yourself to receive respect. This is what happens when someone has a transformation around being a people pleaser or a nice guy, nice girl, whatever. When they start being authentic and expressing their true selves, there may be tension on the other side, but a lot of times that tension can end with people actually respecting them because they're finally being real. And when someone's being real, even if you don't agree with it, you might respect it for that person. I've had that happen before where I've seen people go through this transformation and when they start expressing how they really feel, I might be like, "I don't agree, but I respect you for expressing it." Does this make sense? This is where you actually allow people to choose you because you're being the real you. You have to first be the real you, and then you allow other people to find you. If you're not being the real you, you're only gonna attract people that resonate with the you that's abandoning yourself for other people, which means when you start being the real you, those people might leave. Because if the only way that people resonated with you is if you were abandoning yourself, what'll happen is when you start being the real you, expressing real boundaries, saying no, they may only have resonated with the part of you that abandoned yourself to make everybody else happy. You may be very convenient in their life and you stop doing that and they say, "I'm used to you doing this for me. I'm used to all this." It's okay. Let them. By real you, I mean like the authentic you, the you that's not nice, that's not bending your frame, that's not trying to make everybody else happy, that's not carrying the burden of how everyone else feels on your shoulders. When people say, "How do I choose myself?" The answer is you stop abandoning yourself. You abandon yourself anytime you are saying yes when your nervous system and your body says no. You are abandoning yourself anytime you are trying to please other people. You are asking yourself, who do I need to be to get their approval or validation? Subconsciously, you want them to like you. When you are neutral, whether they like you or not, because you like you and you aren't abandoning yourself, you will be okay with whether they choose you or not. That's when you're actually free. You are free when you don't care whether they choose you or not because you choose you. You're being authentic, you're being vulnerable, you're realizing that these things Vulnerability and authenticity, they lead to depth and connection and love, even though they may not always lead to validation and approval. But you see, validation and approval is something you will crave if as a kid you had to get approval in order to feel love. Does this make sense? People chase this if their inner child does not feel validated and approved of. They then have a whole identity around being chosen. Ironically enough, they aren't choosing themselves and no one can choose them and they demand other people choose them. And when you demand other people choose them, what happens is they don't actually give themselves the chance to be chosen because they're demanding. And remember, anytime you demand anything, you resist. You have to be okay either way. So what I'm saying in this video is begin to embrace and accept not being chosen. That's your breakthrough. You subconsciously may have been playing the game of being chosen, and I'm over here saying, just choose yourself. How do you choose yourself? Well, you stop abandoning yourself. Well, how are you abandoning yourself? By saying yes when you really mean no, by easing the tension in your friend group or family, by people pleasing, being nice, contorting to what you think people want you to be, by not being too loud or expressing your voice. These are all ways that keep you not choosing yourself because maybe not choosing yourself also feels familiar. It feels familiar to fight. Here's another thing people that don't choose themselves will often do. They will attract partners and friends that are very hard to please because being with and around someone that's hard to please allows you to keep feeling the emotions that are under the surface. And if the emotions that are under the surface are feeling guilt for what other people think and feel, so you try to ease that tension, or shame, the belief there's something wrong with me, you get to keep feeling that emotion. It's serving a purpose. Literally, you might be attracting people in your life that reflect back to you emotions that are under the surface and have been under the surface since childhood. So they allow you to keep playing the game of you don't choose yourself. You choose them, but you don't choose yourself. And one of the biggest insights around everything that we're talking about here today is that you can begin choosing yourself by stop and letting go of abandoning yourself, letting go of even believing that anyone needs to choose you whatsoever, which is a paradox. You're just playing the game of choosing. Choose me, choose me, choose me, as I don't choose myself. But when you begin choosing you by expressing the real you, by being vulnerable, by saying no when you really wanna say no, or saying yes when you really wanna say yes, when you stop pleasing and being nice, you can start being kind and you can start being in an energy of embracing that dark side. 'Cause dark side doesn't mean to be mean and overt manipulative in a bad way. It means to stand your ground and be authentic in your body. Here's another thing. You guys want a deeper understanding of choosing yourself and why a lot of people don't do it? Choosing yourself can be very simple. It's about bringing your energy back into your body. When you are in your body and present inside your body, you are more magnetic. When you push your energy out subconsciously, 'cause as a kid it wasn't safe to be in your body, you had to tune to your environment for safety. You had to tune and expand your energy field to include mom and dad and the family and the brothers and the sisters, and you had to be the peacemaker. As a survival mechanism, you become very sensitive to energy because now there's a condition. "If I can ease the tension in the friend group or the family, then I can relax and feel safe. Then I can feel deeply connected or loved." But really you're chasing validation and approval to feel safe. That's the challenge. That's the choose me energy. You only wanna feel chosen because that's connected to approval and validation. Do you guys see this? This is deeper. We're going deeper here than just the surface level. 'Cause sometimes people say, "Well, just don't care what people think." Great advice, bro. Great advice. Just don't care what people think. Okay, I just won't. Wouldn't it be nice if it were that simple? Wouldn't it be nice if it's like, "Dude, just stop caring what people think." And someone's like, "Oh my gosh, how did I never think of this? You're so smart. You're just telling me I should not care what people think." I never thought of that. I was always thinking, I really, really care what people think. I really, really wanna look good. I really, really want approval and validation, but you just told me to stop caring what people think and I get it. I'm gonna do that. I'm just gonna stop caring what people think. Why is it not that easy? Partially because the attachment to caring what people think has been a survival mechanism since being a kid. Because what people think is connected to approval. And if as a kid you didn't feel approved of, you will crave approval from other people, believing that if you get it, you can then feel safe. You could feel like a good person. You feel responsible. You can continue to be the fixer person, the rescuer of people in your life, which a lot of times people that can feel other people's energies or empaths, that's what they feel like, sponges, right? What does a sponge feel like? Just porous, just sitting there on the counter, fill water and it just fricking sucks it up. It's like it's full of creatine, just sucks it up, just bloated. That's the analogy we're using here today, okay? How can we best handle people's jealousy, envy, or hate when we choose ourselves? Sometimes we even lose some people because we choose ourselves. Absolutely, that will happen, can happen as you choose yourself. So how do you best, here's the answer. How do you best handle people's jealousy, envy, or hate when we choose ourselves? Here's how you handle it. You wanna know how you handle it? You don't take responsibility for it. Their jealousy, their envy, their hate is their energy, not your thing to manage. That's the breakthrough. Normally, if you've been abandoning yourself, you thought it was your responsibility to ease their jealousy, their envy, or their hate. It's not. Let other people feel how they feel without you believing you need to come to the rescue to ease it. I remember as I was becoming successful on YouTube, I would be around people that knew me a certain way and I would sometimes, I would feel almost guilty with my success. I would feel like because my life has changed so much, I get to travel the world, live in a nice house, being abundance, I would feel sometimes like I had to dim my light. Like, what if they feel jealousy or envy or hate? Or what if they think I'm just like egotistical 'cause I have a nice house? And then what I realized is for a while, I would kind of downplay my success. I would like cover it up thinking I'm protecting them. I am protecting them from feeling jealousy, envy, or hate. When in fact, My breakthrough was just being me and letting people feel what they feel. For some people, it's inspiring. For other people, they may have judgments. Their judgments is their thing to manage, not mine. I know who I am. I know that living in a nice house or having success doesn't make me a bad person. I know it's not coming from an egoic place where I just need to fill up more and to feel better than people. It's not coming from a grandiose place Therefore, even if people do think it is, it's not my thing to manage. Because you might be a symbol for other people, like a symbol, like what you, the pattern you represent to them may be what's triggering them, but it's not you and your sense of self-worth. We're all reflections of each other. And then Johnny says, so sometimes we even lose some people because we choose ourselves. That can happen. It's not your job to manage who comes into your life and who goes out of your life. It's not your job to get people to stay and you don't have to fight to keep people in your life. That's a survival mode mechanism. You don't have to fight to keep them in your life. The people that are meant to be in your life, you are not going to have to talk them into your sense of self-worth. You don't have to talk them into seeing your value. It's something that if you just let go of, you can trust that the right people will find you who are able to see, hear, and regulate in a calm nervous system with you. And the people that aren't will find someone else that they resonate with, and it's okay. It's almost like if you had a dysregulated nervous system around people and that felt normal and that's what you knew and that's what was familiar and you start to regulate your nervous system, other people around you might be like, where'd you go? We normally were able to be trauma bonded with the dysregulated nervous system and now like you're no longer here. You're doing breathwork and you're meditating or you're present or you're surrounding yourself with other people. And that's okay. So a huge shift for people that don't choose themselves is to realize that choosing yourself means simply to stop abandoning yourself. That's the first step. Start expressing the real you. Start being vulnerable and authentic over wanting validation and approval. Realize that as you begin embodying that energy, you don't have to control who comes into your life and who doesn't. And when you get to a place to where you're really genuinely good either way, whether people choose you or not, that's when you're gonna be free. You just have to stop playing the game of choose me, choose me, choose me, thinking if people choose you, then you can feel enough, validated, or approved of. It's not a condition to love. You are unconditionally loved for who you are, not of what you do or how you perform or how you come off. Now, connecting to the inner child part of you that feels not seen, heard, soothed, nurtured, or chosen, that's where also there can be breakthrough. And that's a lot of the work that I do in coaching, live events, et cetera. Does that make sense? Doing the inner child work, because it's probably, it might be your inner child that's seeking validation and approval. And if you begin healing that part of you, you might find that a lot begins to shift in your life. Someone said, saying no feels really challenging sometimes. Why? That's what I would ask. Why? I'd flip the question on you. Say, why does it feel so hard? What would you have to believe for it to be hard? Would you have to believe that other people's emotions and energies are your thing to manage? Would you believe that you are being bad by saying no if saying no is authentic? Because like I said, one of the biggest breakthroughs in this video for all of you is that the very thing you're avoiding is the thing that if you were to accept in yourself, you would begin to integrate and become more whole. So people that abandon themselves normally people-please, say yes or no when they really mean the opposite. They put their needs to the side because they want approval and validation. And many times there's another side of that where if you can embrace authenticity, which means expressing the real you and being vulnerable and not being responsible for how other people feel because you're being the real you, that's a breakthrough. And that breakthrough you might think of as bad or selfish, but to fill up your own cup is not selfish. Now, the funny ironic thing is that most of you watching right now are coming from that pattern. Where you are like learning how to choose yourself more and letting go of people pleasing. And instead of being nice, which is manipulative, focus on being kind and present. But there's always gonna be a few people like where this is the opposite advice. Like if there was like a controlling, overtly narcissistic person right now, they're like, "Yes, I'm gonna choose myself more." "yeah, I resonate with this, Aaron," whole bunch of likes. So be honest with yourself. Now here's the crazy paradox of the whole thing, and you're not gonna like this if you're someone that gives, gives, gives, gives, and you have an identity around giving. For many of you, you think giving is just this altruistic good thing. It's good to give. I'm give, give, give, give, fix tension, fix tension, fix tension, fix tension. But part of the giving is rooted in a manipulative energy of trying to take. There, I said it. And you say, "No, Aaron, taking is bad. No, Aaron, I don't do that. I'm good, I'm good, I'm good. I see myself as good." Your breakthrough is to actually see yourself not as good or bad, focus on authenticity. 'Cause I'm being authentic. I'm just trying to break you free. This is your sign to break free of the pattern. You feel responsible, but see, being bad, when you start expressing the real you, not everyone's gonna like it. When you stop enabling other people by fixing them, easing their tension, there's people that might not like it. You will be the perpetrator to them. You might be, and you have to be okay with that and stop recreating the dynamics. Does this make sense? Do you get it? And that's why, yeah, pull the energy back inside of your body. Pull the energy back inside of your body. So it says, what are some practical steps you recommend for choosing/loving yourself? Saying affirmations, writing lists of self-appreciation. To be honest with you, I'm not a big fan of affirmations, just thinking better thoughts, like rampage of positive emotions and all that stuff. If that resonates with you, great. I think there can be value in changing at the thought level a little bit, but I believe more in getting to the core beliefs about who you are, questioning, self-inquiry of what are ways in which you abandon yourself? What are ways in which you stop, you aren't choosing yourself? Looking and questioning that, doing the inner child work of seeing, hearing, soothing, and nurturing your inner child. The deeper shadow work of this. What are you avoiding? How can you— So what most people say, like, how do I choose and love yourself? The reason this, what I'm saying isn't attractive to you is because the part of yourself that I'm telling you to love is the part of yourself you are afraid to look at. And saying affirmations is a very powerful way of not looking at other aspects of your shadow. I'm just gonna look at what feels good. What feels good. And what I'm saying is accept what doesn't feel good and look at what doesn't feel good and your breakthrough might be in accepting that. I think a lot of times positive affirmations are just a mechanism people are using to avoid the pain that is actually on the inside. And the thing is, is when you integrate the pain and you let it be there, you allow it to integrate and transform. But in a way, manifestation in general is also, in my viewpoint, it can be a manipulative thing because it comes from an ego persona that says, I'm going to control reality. I have the delusional aspect that I create reality. I will think positive thoughts. I will do rampages of positive emotion, and then reality will spit back to me exactly what I want. I will feel it and think it and then experience it, and I will be the one that does it because I and my ego are so powerful. But what I'm saying is, when you focus on the person you are being and you focus on allowing God to flow through, the ego isn't doing it. The ego has been what's in survival mode. Who's asking the question, "How do I choose myself?" If that's coming from the ego, there's a certain cap to it because you can only feel so much pride, confidence. But when you begin developing confidence in God or the divine, that's where power is. So affirmations and lists of self-appreciation are surface level. If you think of it like a baby, you think of a beautiful little baby, what does that baby have to do to be worthy? What does it do? Has to be perfect, has to not cry, has to just do cute gestures, like all these things. You know, of course that sounds silly, right? Baby just is, a baby is worthy. Well, imagine you put on the, what if the baby did affirmations and you just whispered in the baby's ear, "You are worthy, you are worthy, you are worthy." What is the baby gonna think? Nothing, 'cause the baby's not thinking yet. "You are worthy, you are worthy, baby. Baby, you're worthy." Well, guess what? That's a concept. You can put all the affirmations on a baby's, big-ass headphones on baby's ears and say, "You are worthy, you are worthy, you are worthy." But what I'm saying, and this is the counter paradox to like what I teach, it's the opposite. You are both not worthy and worthy at the same time. This is a concept. You are neutral. You are a divine spiritual being and so is everybody else. So you aren't better than anyone else and you aren't worse than anyone else. So worthiness is similar to the way you want someone to choose you. You become okay with not being chosen or being chosen, you'll be in the middle. The divine, God is what flows through, presence is what flows through. Stop playing the game that's been subconsciously on autopilot. So practical steps in loving yourself is in a way, what I'm saying is love is all there is. Love is who you are. There's different facets of love. And I'm saying, take the governor off, take the thing off that says why you can't love yourself. Accept the parts of you that you normally don't look at instead of just positive affirmations that get you focused on something good. This is the deeper level shadow work. Does that make sense? Accept what is, love what is, love the parts of you that judge yourself, love the parts of you that aren't choosing yourself. Choose yourself, don't choose yourself, who cares? Don't choose yourself. Your breakthrough today is to not choose you. Go back to abandoning yourself, which is a paradox, right? Play the game of choosing or not choosing, who cares? Just be you. Be you and not responsible for how other people respond to you. Be you and don't take on the responsibility of everyone else. Focus on Being real, being authentic, being vulnerable. And as you do that, you let everything else fall into place. You don't have to control and manipulate. Like as a kid, that ego mechanism might be in place because you're trying to gain validation and approval because it's the mean to deep connection and love. That's not it. Love is unconditional. Love is who you are. Divine, God is what flows through you. Most people are trying to get other people to choose them instead of them choosing God or choosing the divine. You've made other people your God. You've made other people's approval your God. And they're playing that game. And I'm saying, stop playing that game. You don't have to play games unless you like the game. You wanna keep playing the game, you keep playing the game. Anyways, that's the idea behind today's video. Let me know if you got something out of this. Comment below and let me know your biggest takeaway. We've got the London live event here in a couple days.
