Why I HAVEN'T Found My Soul Family Yet? THE TRUTH!

Aaron Doughty spent years feeling isolated after a 2012 spiritual awakening led him to quit his job and max out credit cards. He found his people only after committing to daily YouTube videos in 2017 and meeting fellow creator Victor Odo, with whom he took ayahuasca in Costa Rica. He says vulnerability and embodying your authentic self attracts soul family.

So in this video, I'm gonna show you how to attract your soul family into your life. People that would really resonate with you at a deep level. People that could come into your life if the energy shifted. This was a game changer when I learned it years ago, and it has allowed me to attract my soul family into my life. So I wanna share my story about that, exactly step by step what you can do, and I promise you that by the end of this video, you'll know exactly what to do how to embody this new energy so that you actually finally connect and attract your soul tribe. First off, let me say that I, for a long time in my life, was what is called a lone wolf. I felt like I was on this path alone. I felt like a lot of people didn't understand me. I felt like the weird one in my family and even my group of friends. And I was somebody that just kind of got to a place to where I accepted that maybe this is just my life. Like maybe, I'm meant to just kind of be on this spiritual journey, go inwards, and I don't really need that many people to like connect with. And for years, that's how I felt. And there were a couple things that shifted absolutely everything for me, and I wanna share those with you. Now, before I do that though, I wanna share with you my whole story on this, 'cause it's actually kind of funny. It's kind of out there, and it's gonna make me, it's gonna be a vulnerable story, 'cause it kind of makes me look a little bit crazy, I guess, back in 2012, but I'm gonna share it. So first off, back in 2012, I went through a spiritual awakening and my whole entire life changed. I learned meditation. I was working at Nordstrom's in women's shoes and I was partying a lot, smoking a lot of cannabis, taking Adderall during the day, which is a prescription drug given for people that have ADHD. And my life was, I was in this cycle of like doing this thing during the day to like focus at work and then doing things at night so that I could sleep. And I felt like I was in this like pattern. And eventually what happened is I learned meditation. I came across the research on it and it was like black and white to me. It was like so clear that if I meditate, it would powerfully affect my whole life. So what I did, or like, you know, the science of it was pretty clear that, wow, sorry, there's a huge bird that just came up and then went like this. And like hovered in air for a second and then went away. And it was, and it's still going around now. It's pretty incredible. Anyways, so for this process that I went through, it changed just about everything about my energy. I started being somebody, in a way I took off and I let go of my old identity of being completely like lost in the 3D, I guess you could say, like lost in my reality and feeling very stuck, confused. To all of a sudden like taking on a new spiritual identity. And that spiritual identity was I meditate, I do mantras, I focus on like elevating my consciousness, I learn about how thoughts correlate with things. Like that was my passion and that's what I was focused on. And what eventually happened though is I went online and I found this, that there was these communities online and it was very ungrounded information. But I have to take ownership for this because this was something that I believed, but I ended up believing that on December 21st, 2012, we were going to ascend into a different level of consciousness. We were going to ascend into like a new dimension, a new way of being. And I don't justify this by saying this, but there were millions of people all over the planet that also believed this, at least hundreds of thousands. I don't know about millions, but hundreds of thousands of people that also believed this. That bird is huge. Sorry, I wish I had like a B-roll footage. It just keeps like, it's really cool. And there were millions of people that believed that we were gonna ascend on December 21st, 2012 into a new level of consciousness. And there were people like David Wilcock, there was all these websites that were dedicated to this. And I started to believe it. I started to believe that something was gonna happen. And I became so convinced based on this energy and everything that I made some very rash decisions. One of them was that I decided on a whim that I was gonna quit my 9 to 5 job at Nordstrom's in women's shoes. I literally went in one day and decided I'm not coming in tomorrow. I didn't put in my 2 weeks, so I burned the bridge. And one of the things too about this was I was working at Nordstrom's in women's shoes. I would walk across the street to the Trump Hotel and I would go in the grass and I would meditate every Sunday at 11:11 AM or something. and it was this universal meditation to ascend the collective consciousness. And because my work was getting in the way of my meditation every week to ascend the collective consciousness, I decided that maybe it's a good idea that I quit because we're not gonna be here on December 21st, 2012 anyways, you know, things aren't gonna be the same, you know? So that was one thing I did. I didn't even put in my 2 weeks. I quit on a whim because it was getting in the way of my meditations on the Trump Hotel. At 11:00 AM, you know, on Sundays. That was one thing. Another thing I did is I maxed out my credit cards and just like was like living it up because we're not gonna be here on December 21st, 2012. That was another thing I did that ended up, I had to pay for it for 7 years. Another one that was so dumb, I don't even know why I did this. I had an Acura TL, it was a 2006. And back in 2012, that was a nice car. I loved it. However, I realized we're gonna send, so it doesn't really matter. I, on this car, owed only $4,000. I owed on this car that I originally was like a $25,000 loan I had out for it, 'cause I bought it used. I owed $4,000. I ended up letting it get repoed because I wasn't aware that it was worth $9,000, $10,000, and I could have easily sold it and then had that $5,000, $6,000 to live it up even more. The last so many months before I ascended into December 21st, 2012. So there's another thing. Another thing I did is I told all my friends and all my family about this ascension that was gonna happen on December 21st, 2012. And I was excited about this, telling them about it. I thought for some reason in my mind, I thought everyone's gonna understand this. I'm gonna tell my friends and if anything, they just thought I went nuts, they thought I was on drugs. And then what I did is I told my dad about it. And this is like actually kind of an emotional thing that happened. I go into my, I went to my dad's house and I talked to my grandma who was living at my dad's house at the time. And I told her about this and she's like, you need to tell your dad this. And I was like, oh yes, you're right, I do. 'Cause I thought maybe she believed what I was saying. I was like, we're gonna ascend on December 21st and like, I don't have to worry about this stuff. And also I started to look very unhealthy because I went vegan like this and was like, oh, this is the, you know, I just went vegan, lost all this weight. So people thought I was on drugs and stuff like that. Nonetheless, my dad, I go and my grandma's like, you need to tell your dad about this. So I go and I tell my dad and I tell him about all of this stuff that was so out there, but for some reason I decided I had to tell him. I was like, so you know, there's this government operation that goes on and there's like reptilians and there's just, you know, we're all like connected to that. We're interdimensional beings living temporary human experiences and we're connected to these different planets and stuff. And there's a dark side of the moon. I don't know why I told him about the dark side of the moon, but I did. And I told him all this stuff that was so out there. And I was just so unaware of how out there this was for people in my life. And I told him about all this stuff. And when I was walking out to the backyard at my dad's house, he thought I was gonna tell him that I was gay. That's what he thought I was gonna tell him because my grandma was like, "You need to talk to your dad." And it was like this emotional, I was like, gonna talk to him and he's putting his hand on my back, patting my back like, "It's okay, son. It's okay, son." bracing himself just to let him let me know that he's comfortable with that. I was like, you know, it was just a funny thing because after I told him all of this ET stuff and all this stuff, and I could tell that he was wishing that's what I said and it wasn't all this ET stuff. So it was kind of this funny little thing. And my dad would have been totally supportive if I was gay, but I'm not. But just, it was just an interesting perspective because I could feel that that's what he thought I was gonna tell him. And actually, I was just telling him about all this stuff that was just so out there for him. So then what happens is I go home and he thinks I'm fucking nuts. And then what ended up happening is like a week later, I go to my dad's house and he was just so emotional. At first he took it kind of like, oh, okay. He had no idea how to respond to all of this. The second time I went over, he just thought I was straight up nuts. And he was like, where'd my son go? Like, where's my son? And he was like crying. And then I was crying. It was this deep emotional thing. And I just felt so, like there's something wrong with me. I have no friends. My family thinks I'm freaking nuts. I'm waiting to ascend on December 21st, 2012, and felt like nobody got me. And then what happened is December 21st, 2012 comes around and nothing happened. I mean, energetically, maybe some activations happened or something, but like nothing, I was still here and I felt lost, I felt confused, I felt like, you know, I felt like I was a fool. I felt ridiculous because I put myself out there, let this know to everybody, and then I end up looking freaking crazy. And at that time, I also started to develop these beliefs that, you know what, I don't need anyone else. I am my own self. Like I don't, I just need to be on my spiritual journey, elevate my consciousness and everyone else, a lot of the people on the planet anyways that I meet, they're all asleep. They don't understand me. And it developed a spiritual ego where I felt like superior and like people just didn't get me. And it ended up causing a lot of blocks because I ended up feeling like disconnected from people. I felt like people didn't get me. I felt like, I was judging them and I didn't even know it at the time. And I developed these beliefs that just like were, maybe I'm meant to be on this path alone. And what really changed everything for me was then years later, I ended up having to get a 9 to 5 job again, which I did not wanna do. And I go get a 9 to 5 job and instead of at Nordstrom's, I then work at Barney's New York in women's shoes, which is also a sales commission job. And I work there and I'm just studying spiritual concepts, watching YouTube videos, working my 9 to 5 job. And it was just a, I was really reintegrating back into society and to being normal. And what ended up happening is then something shifted in me in February 2017 when I realized I was waiting. I was waiting, I felt I was procrastinating on like living my dream life. I didn't really know exactly what that was. I didn't feel credible to like do and make videos or share these ideas with people. I felt like a perfectionist. I had it all figured out. And it was like I had such high standards that it was hard for me to even create content. And there were all these blocks that I had, but I had this like connection and meditation. And I was living at my dad's house at the time because I recently broke up with an ex-girlfriend and I moved back in with him and was working that 9-to-5 job. And I just realized like if I made videos every single day for a year, my life would transform. And I just felt that. I felt something deep inside of me. I felt it. It felt like this calling. It felt like something inside of me that if I just committed to, my whole entire life would change. And what I decided to do, even though I was working 40 hours a week at Barney's New York selling women's shoes and like I only had, you know, so much time to like do other things, I decided, you know what, I'm gonna make a video every single day no matter what. I'm gonna embody this version of me. So I made the choice to do it. And once I made the choice, it was done. It was every day I made a video, I filmed the video, edited the video, scheduled the video to go out, and then went to bed, did it all over again. And over the course of a week or two, my identity started to shift. I started to feel differently. I started to carry myself differently. Within a couple weeks, videos started, a video started to go viral. It was a very cringy video, but nonetheless, I started committing to my passion, committing to living in this authentic way. And all of a sudden I started to feel alive again. I started to feel like the most passionate version of me and things really started to happen. And what ended up happening is my YouTube channel started to grow. I went from like 3,000 subscribers to 20,000 subscribers in one month. And I was like so excited. Then what happened is I started to grow and I started to reach out to other YouTubers in my space, other people that created content. And one of them I reached out to was a guy named Victor, Victor Odo. And I reached out to him and we connected via email at first. And then we each got, we got on a phone call. I remember I was at Lifetime Fitness in, Lifetime Athletic in Vegas. And I was by the pool, they had these pools, I was laying by it and I talked to him and I was giving him a whole bunch of advice on how to grow his YouTube channel because my YouTube channel was exploding and that was my expertise. And then he was a coach. He had 50 coaching clients when I first talked to him and he was making like 10 grand a month and he had a family of 3 kids and a wife. And I was like, damn, he's doing like, you know, that 10 grand a month was like so much money, you know, when I was thinking about it back then. And he gave me advice as how to get coaching clients. I was helping him with YouTube and this friendship started to develop. And what ended up happening is he ended up moving to Vegas. We went to a Bashar conference out there. He came out, we made a video together. He ended up moving out to Vegas with his whole family. Family, and that was like the start of our friendship, and we became best friends very quickly. From there though, something interesting that happened is we ended up going to this life transformation place in Costa Rica, and in Costa Rica there was this place you go, you drink ayahuasca, it's something called plant medicine, and it was something I was afraid to do. I wasn't even gonna do it when we first went, but I was like, I'll just go for this free trip because we were offered a free trip to go just to make YouTube videos about it. Anyways, I end up drinking, the medicine and it was so life transforming and I became aware of so many different things within myself. But one funny thing that happened on the second night is Victor and I, we got away from, people were drinking in the maloca, this like amazing facility in Costa Rica. We weren't really feeling the medicine so we left. This isn't something that you're necessarily supposed to do, but we left, just went outside, you're allowed to go outside and we just started like whispering to each other and talking. And we were already becoming best friends, but we didn't know everything about each other at the time. And something interesting happened. We were talking, we just started laughing. We realized like we're soul brothers and we were just having this connection and we were like laughing about different things. And then there was this moment where I just got vulnerable with him and I was like, you know, it's gonna sound fucking crazy. He's like, but did you know that back in 2012, I became so ungrounded that I thought we were gonna ascend into a different level of consciousness and we weren't even gonna be here anymore. I told my friends, I told my family, everyone thought I was nuts. And it was just this energy of just like ungroundedness that I was embodying. It was just the, looking back now, I could just see how funny it was. And I was like getting vulnerable explaining this to him and he looks at me And he thinks to himself for a second, he goes, dude, he's like, listen to this. He's like, back in 2012, I was living in Michigan and what I ended up doing with my wife is I was so convinced that we were gonna ascend into a new level of consciousness that what I did is I got my wife on board and my two kids, we moved and sold our house in Michigan. We had, it was paid out in cash because His father-in-law, Patty's dad, paid for the house. So he cashed it out, had hundreds of thousands of dollars, moved to Florida, rented a house, and ended up living it up because they did believe that they weren't gonna be here come December 22nd, 2012. So he did the same exact thing that I did, and it was so crazy to me because I had never met anyone at that point that went that off the rails like I did. "And in that moment, we realized, we were like, you thought you were gonna ascend in 2012, December 21st, 2012, so did I." And it was just this moment of like connection and realization that like we were like soul brothers, you know? And it was also kind of funny because it was just so out, it was just such a random thing. And he was then telling me stories about things he went through and it was like my story. He was like, I said this to my mom and, She was like, "Oh honey, that was like," it was just so similar to things that I said to people in my family. And it was just this realization of the vulnerability. And the thing that I want you to know for this process and this path of like attracting your soul fam is to know that there's other people out there like you, to know that there's other people out there that have similar values as you. You may just not met 'em yet. We chose, I believe, to wake up in families that maybe didn't get it. We like sprinkled ourselves all around the planet. So that we could be like maybe a light in each of our families, or at least an option for people to wake up to different things. And we didn't, it would've been so convenient if all of our soul family just all woke up together and we all just like incarnated together and then everyone else was just in their own 3D world, but we didn't choose to do that. So whether it's you wanting to attract your soulmate, your soul family, I attracted my soulmate, Heather. Many of you guys may have seen her in my content on my Instagram at least. Similar thing. I realized that even when I was working that 9-to-5 job selling women's shoes, I would always attract girlfriends that were working 9-to-5 jobs they hated 'cause I hated my 9-to-5 job. Now that I do what I love, I have also, Heather does what she loves. She's in her passion frequency. She's most authentically herself. You attract what you are. And the reason I share this with you is really become aware of the energy you're putting out and realize that your soul family is out there. All you have to do is commit to being the most authentic version of you and really live in that energy. And at the same time, drop the beliefs that say there's not people out there that can get you, that understand you. Drop the beliefs as well that you might have towards judging other people or thinking that they're just low vibe and they don't get you. As you do these different things, you'll notice that your life really begins to change in a powerful way. And for me, it takes vulnerability, takes sharing. I had to like have the balls on the second night of AYA just to share with my buddy like, hey, I did this crazy thing. And then turns out he did the same thing. So vulnerability is a superpower. It is something that is so powerful. When you begin to embody it. But embody the most ideal version of you. Imagine what that version of you is using your imagination, and then simply make the choice to commit to it, to be it. And stop looking to the outside to see things change. Just simply know it on the inside and embody it because it's who you prefer to be, not because of what it'll get you. There's a big difference when you embody that energy over anything else. Now, Raising your vibration is an important part of this process, and there's a 3-step process to complete identity transformation. If you haven't seen it yet, you can go to aarondoughty.com/pdf to download that PDF on how to transform your identity.
