When you're talking about your future self, have you guys ever heard of the 80/20 rule? Okay, let's imagine. So the 80/20, so 80%, the idea is that 20% of what you do right now gives you 80% of the results. All right, this is, I forget, it's a certain principle name, there's a name for it, starts with a P, I forget, but This is like a general well-known thing, and it is generally true within pretty much every aspect of my business. It's like 20% of the— or less, even less than 20% of the YouTube videos or Instagram videos I put out probably bring 80% of the results. It's just certain things do way better than others. And then I put out a lot of content and then certain things click and certain things don't. Now, there's a book that's called 10X Is Easier Than 2X. And it's by a guy named Benjamin Hardy. And it's a book that basically, this has completely revolutionized the way that I'm going about my business in general. Now, basically 80%, now, if you want to 2x where you are, do 80% of what you're already doing and then do 20% of new things. And what you're gonna do is you're gonna do like 80% of what you do, you're gonna do a little bit better. Now, if you wanna create a 10x result, what you do is you do 80% over here, 20% over here, and what happens is 80%, so this is new things, this is like the old things that you do, right? So both this works for 20% of the things you do gets you 80% of the results, and then 20% 20% of what you do is new, 80% of what you do is what you've always done, but just a little bit better. Now over here, if you want to 10x where you are, what you do is 80% of what you do is new and 20% is the things you want to become an expert at. It's the things that really move the needle. Now what I realized is that in my old business, I was creating a lot of content. I was on this content hamster wheel making videos. I wanted to 2X where I was, do everything a little bit better. But once I became aware of this, what I realized is if I just focus on running live events and I just do live events and I create all this space in my life where I'm no longer on a content hamster wheel, I'm no longer doing 2 or 3 different things in my business I was constantly doing, I've now outsourced, I have 80% of space where I can now do my own inner work and I can get really, really, really good at this 20%. I can go out and do new podcasts. I can do a lot of different things that I didn't even have the time for over here because my bandwidth was doing things I've just always done for the last 8 years on YouTube. So every one of you, when you look at this and you were to map out the difference between what you're doing now and how you could do it 2x better, to do a little bit better. Instead, there's this difference you make where you just focus on the thing, and by the way, this 20% brings me more alive than anything else. What if you just did the things that help you feel alive? Does this make sense? Like when I'm in the frequency of a live event, I'm in a very different version of myself than when I'm in the frequency of making videos that I've made for 8 years. So when I'm in this frequency and when my whole life is around doing this more often, this is gonna 10x my life over the next year or two because I'm just focused on this. And this is also how I get content. This is also how I do everything. Whereas before I was on a content hamster wheel, it's different, right? So the difference is, the cool thing too is you create space. You create a lot more space for you to try new things. And a lot of people, you could solve a lot and become aware of a lot when you start trying new things, when you create space for yourself to try new things. Now, as often as people are focused on raising their ceiling, how many of you heard of that? Like raise the ceiling. The other thing you're gonna wanna focus on when you start making this shift is raising the floor. It's raising the floor. People don't think about that. What raising the floor means is raising your standards. It's raising your standards. So it's like, if normally, like the busier I have gotten, the more I have to be able to say no to things. I turn down a lot of opportunities. I get a lot of opportunities just because of what I've been doing for years. But I have to say more, I have to say no to even more now so that I can just do this. But when you raise the floor, you can raise the floor in your relationships. Now, the fear is when you stop engaging with people in relationships that maybe you've known your whole entire life, but maybe the energy is imbalanced, there's gonna be some space that's created. And some people fear that space because it feels kind of empty. Is that the void? Is that like what we were talking in the boardroom? It's just like, imagine if you had friends and then you cut off some of the friends and you're not around them anymore. There's an empty feeling there. That space is necessary to be created to then allow you to do this better. But then you're able to try new things. Like, I'm able now to do a lot more things I wouldn't have done before because I'm also outsourcing a lot of things in my business. I'm like hiring people so that I can just focus on this more, this new version of me that's just focused on this. And in the next 2 or 3 years, if I just focus on doing more live events like this, and I do them and I go on tour and do them more and more and more, I'm gonna get more and more comfortable, get more and more in alignment content. Do you guys see what I'm saying here? As far as this is 10X, this is 2X. Now with your future self, the difference is that when you are in 10X energy, you are in an energy where you are just doing the things that bring you more alive and you're creating space for the new to come in. This means you can also try new things. And by the way, the way that I found out about this is I met up with a friend who owns a meditation company that she's looking to sell the next couple, she might sell it for over $100 million. And she has a meditation company. And I met up with her, she's a friend of mine, I was on her podcast years ago. And she was telling me, she kept saying like, oh, that's so 2X for me, that's so 2X for me. I'm like, what are you talking about? And then she's like, oh, you haven't read 10X Is Easier Than 2X. And I was like, no, I haven't read it. Well, she realized that in her business, she used to always tell herself the story that for her business to grow, she had to be creating lots of content. Well, instead, she thought 10x. What she did instead is she has a good-sized company, so what she did is instead of creating content, she took 6 months off of creating content so she could just focus on herself, on her business, on her relationship and all of that. And then she instead got more creative. She ended up, reaching out to certain podcasts and paying to go onto certain podcasts to promote her meditation app. And her doing that allowed her for 6 months not to create content or anything, but then she's also scaling everything she does to the next level because she's thinking creatively. She has the bandwidth to be able to do that because of the creativity that she has, but she's just doing, she's creating lifestyle on her terms. Does that make sense? So she's thinking differently, whereas I have a similar thing where it's like, if I'm not creating so much content, It's not gonna be as, it's not gonna continue growing with momentum. But there's a different way to think here. So instead of me on the content hamster wheel trying to make content like I've always done, these last 2 or 3 weeks, it got very uncomfortable because normally throughout a week, I'd make 3 to 5 videos a week. I would go on Instagram Live a lot more often than I've been. I've been going like maybe once a week. But the difference is I'm shifting the energy now because I'm trusting this new vision. And I know unless I create the space for this new vision, I'm still gonna be in the autopilot mind of what I've always created, which is at best gonna be 2x. Does this make sense? 10x, you're welcome. So 10x is easier than 2x. This process is something you can use in your own life through visualizing your own future self and starting to get clear of what that is. But acknowledge that within your future self, What is the 20% of things that you really want to become a master at, that you really want to get better and better at? I know that if I just continue doing live events and I just continue to sharpen my skill of doing it and get more and more familiar with it, I'm going to get more content. And then also other aspects of my business with like relaunching a coaching program, for example, that allows me to hot seat coach people more often so that when I'm here, I'm able, I have even different perspectives. And it also helps me create more of a perspective of like different things to talk about at the live events by having people that I'm working with in between the live events. Does that make sense? So I'm like tailoring my whole business to this now, whereas usually this was the known and this is what I've always done and that's why I've always done it. And many of you may have this future self that you're visualizing and understand that when you get clear with what that is, you can start to become aware of what can you let go of and what can you begin doing and understand that there's certain things you do that when you do them, you're in a higher vibrational frequency. And that that then begins to change. Like this is gonna change my identity more than anything else that I do. Because for a long time, what I realized is I was still being a content creator. What does a content creator do? Creates content. That's all I was doing though. I was like creating content and then like, I know I need to do more live events, but I just didn't have the energy to go on tour with live events. Because in between live events, I'm making videos, going on podcasts, doing all these other things. So now that there's that space, I'm like, okay, I can just focus on this and I wanna sharpen that skill. I wanna get better at that. And the funny thing is, is when I do this, it brings me more alive than anything else anyways. So it's a win-win. If you focus on the 20% of the things you love doing, it puts you in a different frequency. Oh yes, yes, go ahead. Yep.
Thank you, thank you. Um, so it's about the 10x is easier than 2x. So, um, long story short, 6 months ago, or it was in May, end of May, uh, I was doing a lot of meditation practices myself and I had this vision for this event. And I hosted that event on November 16th, so it was like a 6-month period. And it definitely was a time of my entire life 10x'd. Yeah, and it was a miraculous event. And then also, to your point, I also went through a phase where I was alone for 3 years, um, and then everybody I met that helped put on this event, I only met in that 6-month time frame. So a lot of people just showed up in my life, and there was a ton of synchronicities. It was a beautiful time. However, um, I really believe in the vision. I really believe what I'm creating. I really believe I reached a place where I'm in that 20% of what makes me feel alive, and I see other people jumping in on the vision. But financially, I'm like, like, I put on this big event. Yeah, there was 150 people, there was 30 vendors, there was 15 volunteers, and I made like nothing.
Yeah.
And I worked on it for 6 months, and I afterwards, like, the bliss of that whole time in my life was so beautiful. And I was like, but I can't work for free, and I don't know how to break this block of like always being in business where like I'm not making enough. And I don't know how to break that block.
What was the energy in your childhood around money? Was that a familiar thing that you were taught, being stuck with money?
My— I mean, my parents didn't have money until I was probably like 16 or 17.
Yeah.
And then they were never happy. Like, they're still stressed. They're still, I guess, yeah, stuck and just—
Yeah.
They finally got money, but they're still—
Still stuck.
They're not happy, yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
So the inner process for you may also be like on one side of it, it's like, do the passion, do the frequency of like this event and you'll get more clear. That's like an external kind of way to like put yourself in the state. But the other thing that may be very powerful for you to do is to go inwards and to connect to your own inner child and to connect to how you view money. What is your relationship with money? Because if there is scarcity or if there's a survival mode around money, then guess what? It's like that there's a belief that there's not enough to go around. You've gotta figure it all out. It's not gonna provide and come back to you to receive it. Sometimes also from our parents, if our parents didn't have money, we, and they weren't happy, we may feel guilty if we did have money. Does that make sense? There's like an inner loyalty that we have to our parents. Who am I to have money when my parents had to suffer? How selfish of me to have money and success and happiness if my family didn't have it, right?
It's also confusing 'cause it's like they were never happy, always striving for the money. And then when I was like 17, they finally had money. And then now they seem less happy.
And then they were really happy.
No, they were less happy.
Exactly.
So I'm like, I don't get what the hell.
You see, because it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter whether you have it or not. It's not gonna equal, you know, it's not that that is the thing at the end of the rainbow.
Yeah.
You know, it's the passion, it's the frequency, the energy you're in with the live event, but really looking at releasing whatever the attachment is to the story, to the story around money. Because if, like, what are your viewpoints about money in general? If money were a person, what would money look like?
Stressful.
Yeah. Interesting, right? Yeah. So here money is. Money is stressful. It's like high cortisol, right? And you're saying, hey, come over here, but you're judging. If I'm money and I'm stressed out and you're labeling me as stressed, Why would I wanna come to you? You see?
Yeah.
So a lot of times looking at the way we view money, now on two sides of the coin here, you may think, some people may think, okay, well I'm gonna start thinking of money in a high vibrational, or I'm gonna think of money as like this awesome thing that once I get, I'm happy. We put money on a pedestal. One moment. You put money on a pedestal, it's putting money above us. And giving it all this excess meaning and importance and resistance, then we block it. Or we could put money in the gutter and say money is horrible, money is evil, it's the root of all evil, all these negative beliefs about people with money. Either way, we are creating resistance around money. Now, the truth is money is just an exchange of value. Does everyone get that? Money is neutral. When you become spiritual, it can be a thing where on one hand, you can imagine you have a beautiful rose quartz crystal and you're just, you're basking in it like a little newborn baby and you're like, "Oh, you're so cute." But then over here, you've got a pile of money and you're like, "Ugh, this is disgusting. I'm gonna put it over here." This one's spiritual, this one is not. Well, in actuality, both of them are just energy. This is an agreed-upon energy that we use in our reality to exchange value. And when it comes to making money, many times people are focused on making money. I want to receive money. I want to receive money. I want to receive money. How do I get more money? How do I get more money? How do I get more money? I want, I want, I want. I lack, I lack, I lack. But if you're trying to get money, what side of the equation are you missing? What do you have to do to get money? Add value, exactly. Give, like when you are in the most authentic frequency of you and you are adding value into the world by being you, expressing yourself, whatever that is, that's a high frequency to be in. And as an exchange, energy comes in differently. Does this making sense? But most people are focused on how do I get, how do I get, how do I get? Instead of understanding that this is a side effect. The money is a side effect of what you're putting out there. So if you put the awareness on that, what is the passion frequency? What is the energy? What is my relationship with this thing? All of you right now, if money were a person, what would it look like? I remember when I first did this exercise, I imagined it as like some short, stubby, like greasy guy that is like stingy. This was like the aspect of my subconscious that was like, 'cause when I first started doing this inner work, I'd become spiritual and I was focused on elevating my vibration. And then I learned about certain factions of the government where money is not actually backed by gold. And there was all of this like greedy energy. Right? And then guess what? If you believe in all the conspiracies, money is so evil, it's not backed by gold, which by the way might be true, money might not be backed by gold, but that's just a story we can tie onto to say money's mean, money's bad, right? That goes into whatever that subconscious thing is, that subconscious images. But what we end up doing is we end up blocking it from coming into our life because we're subconsciously judging money. Which of course money is a neutral thing, but it's not gonna wanna come into your life if when you see it, you're judging it. Now this, by the way, works the same way with what are your beliefs around men? What are your beliefs around women? Yeah, right?
Whoa.
If you believe that men can't be trusted, if you believe that women can't be trusted, if you believe that men are manipulative or women are manipulative, and that is your belief, well, guess what you're gonna attract into your life? You're gonna attract that energy into your life because that's what you believe that archetype is. How can you attract anything else? So becoming aware of what these stories are is very important. Now, in general, maybe tomorrow we'll go a little bit deeper on some of this because very often the way we feel about mom The way we feel about dad is the way we feel about men and women in our life. So your negative beliefs around mom, your negative beliefs around dad end up becoming something that you project onto other people and you attract people that fit the bill for what you expect. Now, why is that? One of the reasons is, is because we're trying to close the loop from childhood. We wanna heal and close the loop from childhood. So whenever we attract certain patterns in our life, part of the reason we attract these patterns is because we're trying to close the loop. We're trying to heal, trying to learn. Now, maybe tomorrow what we'll talk about as well is something called the Imago. Have you ever heard of the Imago? The Imago, it comes from a book called "Getting the Love You Want" or something like that. It's a well-known book on relationships. "why we attract what we attract subconsciously." I think that's what it's called, something like that. But the idea of this, the idea of the imago is that we all have a subconscious image of what our ideal partner is. And this imago has both the positive traits of the things that made us feel safe when we were kids, as well as the negative traits of the things we did not like in our parents. And what happens is these are infused over our imago. And when we're dating people, We're literally seeing how close to our imago is this? How close is this to the image? I remember I had a friend who would deal with, it was a couple and they dated for, they were together for like a year or two and they were having this challenge where he, this person I knew, he was very messy. So he had like, he would like leave wrappers laying around and all of this stuff. And this would like trigger the woman. And part of her story, so here he is like kind of like using things and there's just trash, you know, there's trash on the floor and stuff. And she would get so triggered and then think he's a slob, but also her dad was the same way. It would trigger the shit out of her when he was just a slob leaving his wrappers around. And funny enough, this guy was doing the same exact thing and it was triggering to her. But it's interesting, right? It's like, I remember, Do you see the parallel? It's like, yes, it's like, it's a one-on-one reflection. Now, from one hand, is it that he's always been like that? Or could it also be that it's like the expectation effect where if we expect people to be a certain way, maybe they're a little bit more inclined to be that way? It kind of takes a little bit of the blame out of the story because if we blame them, it's like, oh, this is just the way, is this just the way men are? All men are slobs. Right? If that's the belief, then you'll pull that out and find, even when it's not there, there could be someone that's very clean, but you might associate or think that that's being a slob because of whatever your interpretation is, because that fits within the model for how you see reality. So this idea of the imago is this idea that we attract people into our lives that match both the things that we most liked and disliked about our parents and the things that were, also unprocessed. And then people are replaying those energy patterns out. So when you become aware of this, this is where a lot of power really starts to come back to you.
