2% d'impôt sur les riches : la taxe Zucman va RUINER la France !

A critic argues France's proposed 2% wealth tax will trigger capital flight, citing the UK's recent experience, and claims the state lacks the capacity to track hidden fortunes or spend revenues wisely. He contends the real problem is bloated government spending and missed opportunities in AI and energy.
Hello, my friends. Everyone in France is talking about the Zucman tax. Some members of parliament have taken it up and consider it to be something extraordinary. We are taking the ultra rich and imposing a 2% tax on them, not on their income, but on their assets. And in this way we are restoring tax justice and solving France's problems. So I have the impression that I'm going to tell you something in parentheses. I have a lot of parentheses in my videos because I have a lot of them in my head too. Look, first parenthesis. I wonder if we shouldn't merge the United Kingdom and France because I think that if I look at what's happening in the United Kingdom, literally, literally in the. In the last few weeks, two, three months at most, the same crap that was tried and failed in the British laboratory is being brought back as is. What I mean is that it's better to merge these two countries. The United Kingdom tried this very thing of taxing the rich. For example, it passed a law that dated Back to the 1700s, the Nonam law, which allowed the ultra rich to live in the United Kingdom and not pay tax on their global wealth. And then labor came to power. Cyo Pam, we're going to restore tax justice. What happened? The country is being bled dry. So to find a country where the rich are fleeing the most, you have to go to Russia. And even in terms of volume, the British are losing more. So I even think they are at the top of the world for countries that are losing the most wealth. Where are these fortunes going? Well, they are going to Dubai where taxes have been drastically reduced, but they are also going to the United States. They are going to Italy, Greece or Portugal, which are not known to be tax havens. So look, we see the rich leaving and then they are going to countries that are not taxed much more than the United Kingdom. Do you know what I mean? Countries where the tax burden is perhaps slightly lower, no more. But why are they leaving? Why are they making all this effort to leave? Let me tell you something. Capital does not necessarily follow taxation, does not follow low tax slopes. That's not necessarily it. Capital follows confidence. When you are in an environment of high confidence, it means stability. Because you know what's wrong with the big fortunes? Their problem is planning. It's being able to make decisions today, knowing what tomorrow will look like. Take the Emirates. Why are the Emirates exploding in wealth and outpacing everyone else? Why? Well, because in the Emirates there is no politics. There is no concept of elections, political parties, unions, things like that. It doesn't exist. So it's good, it's bad, we can discuss it, that's for sure. But it provides rock solid stability. Whereas in a country like the United Kingdom, for example, you can have a party come to power which will turn everything upside down, only to lose the elections. A few years later, another one comes to power and does a 180 degree turn and so on. And so at that point you are in total opacity. So the idea of increasing taxes on the rich today and not charging them on their wealth is total heresy. And I know that it is widely supported. I have seen polls showing that up to 85% of French people support it. And I can tell you it is utterly horrible. Let's talk about it. I will give you a few arguments. First of all, this kind of thing has been tried in the United Kingdom. It caused a mass exodus of wealth. We are no longer in the year 1250. Today, with three phone calls, billions can leave the country. I mean, unless you set up exchange controls and then a financial police at the borders, and then you become. You become a country, I don't know, like a third world country that controls the euros that come in and go out and locks them down. And then your collapse will happen much faster. You can't stop people from leaving. They can leave. That's the first point. Secondly, many of the very wealthy don't own anything directly. They own nothing. I've spoken to people with tens of millions of dollars worth, and frankly, they own their watches and that's all they own. Everything else is capital that's elsewhere, that's in complex structures that mean that the guy technically has absolutely nothing. You can't just tax him like that. Thirdly, and this may be the most important point, let's say, is that we can't count on the state. We can't count on the state that put countries like France, for example, in this situation today. We can't count on the states that are at the root of the problem to correct it by giving them even more confiscatory powers. We can't tell the state, okay, you've put us in trouble. There you go. The ceiling is collapsing, the house is falling over our heads. So what you're going to do, I'm going to give you a mandate as a citizen to go and capture even more money. Okay? Go to the rich. There you go. Avenge us, right? Go with your brave man to the rich. Take their money, Come and distribute it to us. This is a vision marked by a lot of naivety. I'm Being nice. Okay, I wanted to use a much stronger word than naivety. Why? Firstly, the state doesn't want to capture anything at all, you know, it's not going to capture anything at all. It thinks that in the United Kingdom. It's been tried in the United Kingdom, for example, for ideological reasons, for example, on oil and energy companies. They went so far as to impose a tax of 110% you percent heard that right? 110%. That means the company has to pay 110% of its profits in tax. That means all its profits plus 10% on top. It's a punitive tax to scare them away. Because in the UK a new religion is climate change. So what did these companies do? They left. What did energy do? Energy prices have skyrocketed in the uk. That's caused a lot of industries to collapse, that's caused inflation to skyrocket. And now the UK is looking to increase taxation. Literally every few hours there's a new tax coming in. And they're basically trying to tax an economy that's shrinking. That's what's called a doom loop. That's what's called a spiral of collapse. We have a sprawling spendthrift state that wants more and more money, that is becoming greedy. And what happens in the end? Well, it is contracting a state, it is trying to tax an economy and it is taxing it to death. Do you know what I mean? That is not a solution. It will not go anywhere. It will create more poverty for everyone. Secondly, the state, as I was saying, will not capture anything at all. That is it, that is the first point. Even if it captures money, lets say it is 2%, it will capture it and there it will have 50 billion on the table. Look how strong we are. Those 50 billion will be wasted, will not be used for any social justice. It will go to food expenses, it will go to invoices for dresses from big names in fashion. It will go to custom made shoes, luxury watches, it will go to prostitutes, it will go to private jets. It will be distributed in Ukraine, it will be distributed right and left. It will disappear into slush funds. You know the state and the problem today. It serves no purpose. And you know my convictions. It serves no purpose. I'm not even here defending the rich. That's not even that, that's not even my plan. There's no point in moving towards sprawling states, states that resemble gangrene, malignant cancerous tumors that take over the countries that are devouring them from the inside until they collapse. I remind you that in countries like the United Kingdom or France, the state spends half of the gdp, half of the national gdp. What the country produces is being spent by the state alone, without any control whatsoever. And on top of that they are running a deficit. And on top of that they are borrowing money by depriving everyone. And on top of that they are not providing public services. So public services, sovereign services, are literally collapsing. And we have a state that taxes more and more, which is putting the nation into debt. Where is the money going? Okay, so giving more money to these people or giving them more and more mandates to go and get it is simply adding fuel to the fire. It is asking the pison to come with gasoline to try to put out the fire. It makes absolutely no sense. In fact, what is happening is that the system is really collapsing and neither the Zuckman text nor the so and so text will solve it. What can solve the problem, but it requires courage. What can solve it is a drastic reduction in taxes. Yes, you heard correctly. A drastic reduction in taxes which can attract investment. What is needed, what is also needed is to stop managing the economy through ideologues. That is not going anywhere. We have climate ideologues who are making energy more expensive. Let me give you an example. Many people say, yes, energy is too expensive in Europe. Yes, energy is too expensive in Europe. The figure we often hear in the media is that it is four times more expensive than in the United States. The United States is ahead of Europe in every way, ok? They have created more wealth and their salaries are much higher today. Many Americans, when you look at social media, when they arrive in Europe, they say, these people don't even have air conditioning, right? They look at the Europeans, I mean, their air conditioning is like electricity. When they arrive in Europe, they say, these guys are a bit behind. What kind of continent is this? So what is happening with energy is that Americans have always fought for access to energy to provide their economy with cheap energy. Whereas Europe is deliberately trying, through ideologues, to make energy unavailable, to make it expensive and therefore tormenting its economy just for the sake of the climate. They are happy that we say, yes, you see, we are seeing a drop in energy consumption. Well, if you want to see a drop in energy consumption, look at the country, look at South Sudan and that will give you an idea, right? You look at the guys, if they are happy that their energy consumption is extremely low. And in addition, those the 1,4 ratio that we quote is false. Because quite simply, we are comparing the average energy in the United States Whereas in the United States there are many states, and in some states the energy is lower than in others. And if you compare the industrial states where energy is the cheapest, you compare it to Europe, you will see that there is no point in producing in Europe. You know, just those who have not yet relocated to the United States or elsewhere are doing so today. They are seriously considering it. So when we have states that cause unemployment, that cause mass bankruptcies, that create burdensome regulations, I remind you that by, for example, the AI shift, there are a lot of media outlets that say, yes, Europe is going to miss the AI shift. So at the risk of missing the AI turn, I'll answer that question right away. I'll reassure you right away. She's already missed the LIA turn. The LIA turn is behind her. Okay, it's over. All that's over. AI is where? China, the United States, Europe no longer have a place in it. Europe is there. It regulates, makes regulations, applauds, all that, but it's all over. So what I'm trying to tell you is that this business of the Zucman Tax, which is supported by a certain number of politicians, shows that we have an economy that is managed by ideologues, but also by economic scholars. It's a bit like going into a boarding lounge on an airplane and voting to choose who will be the pilot. You can get on a platform and say, Raubal Bol is always the same ones who pilot planes. Listen, we're going to do a campaign here among passengers, huh? We, there are 300 of us. We're going to do a little election campaign. We're going to have a two round vote and then we're going to elect a team, A team to fly the plane. And then this team will choose a pilot, a co pilot and so on. Well, we can always do that, except that three quarters of the planes will end up in the field at the end of the Runway, okay? That would be death. That's what we're doing today for the economy. The economy has to be piloted. The economy is something very complex and goes beyond the culture and education, intellectual level and intellectual support. And I would even say the ethics and honesty of the majority of men in political ends. Okay? Left or right, I'm not, look, I'm not discriminating or favoritism. So what we're doing today is taking economic islands. And then with each government, we take a different island, we take a different idiot. We tell him, here, you go ahead, pilot our economy. We'll watch, we're behind you. We'll watch what you do and that's it. So it comes out with stories, big speeches, stuff. And then every time, when it ends, well, we have one that leaves us lower than before and it continues. And I'll even add something, which is that if you look at the United Kingdom, we had Tony Blair, who was a leftist, a complete leftist, and who was a lawyer. So what did he do? He started legislating. He started ordering by law. That means every time he had an idea, he made it an enforceable law. So it becomes a law that is enforceable even when he leaves. You look at France, you have the Seguelon Royal law, the Nicolas hello law, the so and so law. And when you look at the legal layers of laws that are still enforceable up to now, you realize that we have an army, a whole bunch of people. Lots of people were there for only a few months. Many people are completely incompetent. Many people couldn't even run a grocery store, a bar, a bar by the sea, and make it work. Well, what we did was give these people power for a few months or a few weeks. They passed enforceable laws, then they left. But the laws are still there. So in France, you have laws that force you to deconstruct your economy. You have laws that make unemployment mandatory, that make inflation mandatory, that make deficits mandatory. Because it's the necessary and automatic corollary of these laws that are in place. So let's continue. Okay, let's take Zuckman. So and so. Well, he's super rich. Too bad for them. They pay so and so. Okay, I'll tell you something. I'll tell you again the double effect that flows. Know one thing, and you can go back 20, 30, 40, 50 years old, even more, even six, if you want. Every time they want to pass a single law, they're going to point out very specific, very particular cases, marginal cases that will perhaps gain the approval of the majority of people, because the majority of people are not ultra rich. So they'll say to themselves, well, I don't care if the ultra rich get hit in the face. Well, it served them right, right? No. Great, huh? Okay, there you go. Phew. Like that. You pay and then you shut up. Okay? That's to make you accept the principle of taxation. Not on income, but on wealth. That's what you own. So then, well, we're not going to go to the ultra rich. Why don't we go to the very rich then? Well, we'll go to the rich. And then if we go to the Middle class, it'll be even better. And one day you're like that, and then, uh, it hits you in the face that, well, a Zucman tax is no longer 2%, but now we're talking about 20% or 25%. All taxes on Earth. All taxes on Earth started with very symbolic, very small amounts, and sometimes they even start with temporary labels. You know, there are taxes that have been created. You look at the history of taxation, you go see that there are taxes that have been created, uh, with the argument that it's temporary, we need it for 10 years, 15 years, because, well, we have a problem there. There was a war, there was something, there's a crisis, we need this tax. And then generations later, it's still there. So the Duckman tax, once you put it in place, it will end up applying to everyone. Like you have a two room apartment, I don't know, Aishaol or something. And then one day, Zuckman arrives, and then you have to sort it out. Either you're going to borrow from the bank, which is great, you're going to reprint it from the bank to pay the tax, or what you do, you sell. You sell it like heirs do. What do people who inherit do? Well, the dad, the mom left. They worked all their lives. They left a house, this house. They must have paid for it maybe five or six times to have a house. They worked. If you look at their real effort, their real work, the real value they created, it probably wasn't a house. It was maybe 10 of those 10. Five went to bank interest, four went to winter tax expenses. They were left with a house that they left to their heir. Okay, that's the idea. And after these houses, they pretend, the heirs are forced to sell them to give them to the state again. Okay, at this point, at this point, we might as well. Honestly, if we continue like this, we might as well. Well, we have to stop pretending in front of each other. We have to stop all this theatrics. Right? We're going back to a form of feudalism. We're restoring slavery. We're all working for free for the state. We don't get a penny. We don't see anything. We have no assets. We own absolutely nothing at all. We give it to our employers, who will pay the state services directly, who will spend it as they wish, and we will be given a meal voucher. We see how many children you have, how much you weigh and so on. Well, you go, they have a bar, and then they give you meal vouchers. There you go. They give you an Anka voucher, a dessert voucher, a drink voucher, a cinema voucher, a little bike voucher, right, Uh, a little glasses voucher and all that. And then you have your vouchers and you live with them. That's it. As the state wants. Then you become the state slave. There you go, the slave. You just stop pretending the state is your owner. You work for it. It takes the fruits of your wealth and it just gives you the minimum. They tell you this by check that you don't die so that you can come back tomorrow, because otherwise. Well, otherwise you won't come back tomorrow anyway. So that's where we are. That's where we're going. And the fact that people, and this is what shocks me is that the fact that people say, yes, well, the UT is going to bring us more justice. No, no, no, it's not possible. It's not possible. You're going to give those who created the problem, you're going to give them congenital Christians, illiterates, incapable people, corrupt people. You're going to give them even more power. I mean, it's over. They're just going to use it to enrich themselves personally, to crush you even more. There you have it. In any case, my friends, what we're seeing is depressing. It's really depressing. Thank you for watching this video so far, and we'll see you in the next one, if there's a next one, of course, given the times, that short. There you go. See you soon.
