A French-language YouTube monologue arguing that the United States is displacing France in international arms sales. The speaker explains the sales concept of "displacement," gives examples (Australian submarine and helicopter cancellations, Greek and Swiss purchases), discusses consequences for France's geostrategic influence and market credibility, and speculates about data leaks, intelligence/espionage and internal corruption helping American competition. The segment closes with the speaker's personal remarks about censorship and desire for a more permissive video platform.
Good evening, my friends. So lately France has been getting screwed by the Americans on arms deals. Let me tell you something. So you might say that France is getting screwed, which is pretty much normal when you have a system like the French one. It's clear that it constantly puts the country in a situation of being screwed. In fact, if you remember, a few months ago, we talked about these submarines that Australia had ordered from the naval group in France. And then everything was on track when suddenly Australia decided to give up on the order, decided to cancel the order. I think they're going to have to pay penalties and all that on the contract, but that doesn't seem to matter to them. They left with an equivalent order from the Americans lately, just this week, Australia has decided to replace its Airbus helicopters, European helicopters, with American helicopters. I'll give you 1,000. Greece is going to buy American frigates. A few months ago, in September, Switzerland bought American planes while there were discussions with France for French planes. So what the Americans are doing in sales is called displacement. It's often said in English, even in French speaking circles. So what is displacement? It's what we call displacement. So let me explain. If you work in sales, you're familiar with it, you can skip the video for a few minutes. So displacement is when you go and chase a customer to a competing brand. Lets just imagine, for the sake of argument, that I work as a salesperson at BMW. What can I do? I can target humanity as a whole and try to place my BMWs everywhere. Well, it's a bit difficult because most people will hang up on me. Most people will tell me, I'm not interested in your car. Others will tell me, no, I have a Tesla. Others will tell me, no, I, I prefer to drive a Twingo and so on. Okay, but let's imagine that I'm doing some traveling. What does that mean? It means I'm going to go see people who have a Mercedes or people who have an Audi. It means that I'm actually taking a vehicle similar to the one I'm selling and then I'm going to move a competing brand. I know that someone who drives an Audi will potentially be sensitive to my brand. Okay? On the other hand, all the people who are in sales will tell you one thing about being able to move, because moving is super powerful, right? Travel allows you to really get a customer who is already qualified. You just have to tell them, listen, you're going to buy this brand, mine is better. I'll explain why and then they can make the purchase. Travel requires several things, among others. It needs data. You can't travel if you don't have insider data, ideally on the competitor. You need to know who the customer is. You need to know what they based their purchasing decision on. What was the final quote that was presented to them with any discounts and all that, what services were offered with it. You need to know in the smallest detail the characteristics of the product they're going to buy. That way you can arrive and then present your product. You know what the decision was based on. You know the price, you know you know everything. So you can position your product and then talk about comparisons. To attract this customer, you also need something. You need what in sales is called DNA. That means you need to know who signed with whom, whether it's the competitor you're targeting, but especially the client who made the decision. What are the connections, let's say hierarchical and interests, conflicts of interest and all that. So you need to give. Okay, I was talking to a headhunter once. You know, headhunters sometimes attack a company like this one. He attacked a development company. So he attacks a company that does development, and he actually manages to get someone out of them. He manages to get a developer out of them. When he snatches the developer, he talks to him, and the developer explains to him that, yes, the company pays very poorly, that morale is very low, that they have been given unattainable targets, that management is full of conflicts of interest, and that he has extremely detestable characteristics. And all that. With this first trip that the headhunter makes, he. He will approach other people in the same company. Now, he knows that they are poorly paid. He knows that they are demoralized, he knows that they want to leave. And so the more he succeeds in moving people, in removing people from this company, the better he will become at talking to the people who are in this company. So he will become stronger and stronger. His movement will become easier and easier, and in the long term, he will be able to completely empty the company. There are headhunters who attack a company. Like, I empty it, he literally empties it. He attacks it in January. By the time summer arrives, the company, three quarters of the workforce have already left. Okay, the move is like this. For example, if I were to tell you that I worked for a German brand and I was targeting another competing German brand, the more I traveled, the better I would become at talking to someone who wanted to buy an Audi. I would become better at talking to someone who wanted to buy a Mercedes. Right now, the Americans are currently traveling to French defense customers, so they have several things. They are becoming very good at it. Right now they got a submarine contract after a helicopter and frigate contract. Tomorrow it will be something else. But in fact, there are two things that we can quickly mention. First, there's the loss of France's influence on the geostrategic scale. France is worth peanuts today. So when you buy, imagining that I am, I don't know, let's imagine that I am the principality of Aldanistan. I am going to buy. I don't know, I am going to buy helicopters, other weapons or missiles or whatever. Buying weapons from a country also means buying geostrategic support. It also means paying, as they say in some circles, paying for protection. Okay? So when you are a country like Australia, for example, and you are facing China, you would prefer to have the geostrategic protection of France or the United States, okay? There is no price to pay for answering this question correctly. Do you understand? So there is this, there is this first point, a second point too, I had also mentioned it was that France is full of ideology. Generally when you sell weapons to someone, to a country, it's so that they'll go to war, right? It's not to show off with them. So for example, France was selling Mistral frigates to Russia. Russia had a few minor injuries on the border with Crimea and so on. Then they made Crimea anxious. I mean, honestly, between us, okay, they could annex the whole of Ukraine. What do we care anyway? Potentially they're going to do it. I'll tell you something. If you want a disaster scenario, if you want a nightmare scenario, you want to stay up all night, I'll give you one. Imagine, imagine in January 2022, just during Christmas. All that while we're busy dealing with Macron and all that. Let's imagine how brutal Russia annesses Ukraine. I'm not kidding you. Russia could annex Ukraine. They are amassing an army of sick people on the border with Ukraine. So they could overthrow Ukraine overnight. That's the first point. First point. And the second point is the same day and you haven't even gotten over the news. China is the former Taiwan. It's also building up weapons around Taiwan, okay? Like that. Boom. Okay, it could happen. It could happen. Now honestly, we honestly China just between us, that they annex that China Nessus Taiwan or even annex Malaysia if they want. What have we decided? Okay, but except that the west is going to step up and do flips and all that. Because the problem is that today we have entered Europe in the flip era, in the era of the E We get involved in a lot of things and make them hysterical. So I was telling you that when there were these problems with Crimea, France had given up on selling the frigates to Russia. It had sold them off to Egypt. Now the Russian frigates are sailing under the Egyptian flag today. So the problem is that France is losing a bit of its credibility on the market because a potential client will say, yeah, but France is not a solid partner today, especially since these are arms contracts that span years. Today I can place an order for Rafales or other weapons, uh, deliver them over five years, but if in two or three years I say something you don't like and then you're going to cancel the order, and then my project is delayed for years because I have to renegotiate with others. And these aren't products that are sold in the supermarket. You can't buy frigates. Now sign up and get them tomorrow morning. It's always years of delivery time, contract negotiations and everything. So if you cancel the contract in my face, you know, I'm really naked. So France's credibility as a seller of this kind equipment is still quite diminished by its untimely ideological interventions. But beyond that, but beyond that, there is still data, because the Americans, they are very good today. They are very good at moving French customers. It continues like this. France will not sell anything to anyone. Every time there is someone who is ready to sign with the French, or even if they sign with the French, the next day they will write to them to say, I regret that they are going to cancel the American FT contract. So the Americans now have data. They, they have the data, they have the DNA. Where does it come from? So I think, I can't prove it, I can't demonstrate it to you, but clearly I am not into conspiracy. I am not a conspiracy theorist. I believe that things are what they seem to be. It means that today the Americans are clearly too good at suspicious of moving French contracts. This is not normal. It is not by chance. So they have data. This means that today the French have to think, are they using American clouds? Are they using American telephones? Because they use, you know, the Americans make no secret of it. They are in an electronic war. They are in a war to swallow astronomical quantities of data, analyze it and see if there is value in it. Value is, for example, a contract negotiation. So there is that already. There is that they know French products too well. They probably know how much the customer was charged. They know far too many things. There are possibilities beyond electronics, right? Because today we are in this electronic reflex, right? The cloud, the satellite, telecommunications, all that, the software. There is someone somewhere who is snitching. But we must not forget humans. We mustn't forget about humans. I mean, today, with the widespread corruption that characterizes France, I wouldn't be surprised if there were well placed people in France, in these circles, who would fax to whom, you know, I mean, fax, in other words, I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if today the French and Americans weren't moles in the French system. Who would pay someone in exchange for hard cash or blackmail linked to, I don't know, maybe someone. The problem is that in these circles, even either they pay or they pay someone in money. Many people, many people need money, hide money, want cash, are ready for anything, any compromise, any betrayal. There are people who are kept in place by blackmail because, for example, one day they committed a wicked or criminal act, or a particularly abominable act. They don't want it to happen. No, except that they're handlers. Well, they have the ropes and they have everything, so they are forced to follow. There are also the ideologues. Those in all categories of cities are the most dangerous. In general, ideologues are generally very wary because the ideologue supports you today, tomorrow he could find himself against you, if he is disappointed, if he thinks that your ideology does not embody the ideal for which he joined you. But there are probably. I say that, I am saying without proof. There are probably Thais in the French system who are informing the Americans because they are too good. They are too good. And when you know, the Americans by nature like that, just by themselves, they are not very good, they are bad. Whereas here they are hitting really hard and really fair. Okay, so there is some swindling. There you have it. That there is some swindling in the air. There you have it, my friends. Uh, just a question. Do you know of a video platform where I could occasionally post a few specials? Post videos that would be more like men's videos, let's say. Because here, you know, here we protect the widow and the orphan, we protect the doxa, the narrative and all that. So it's true that I feel a bit limited, you know, sometimes I want to talk a bit more freely. I can't do that here. I opened an account on Odyssey. I didn't understand anything. I have the impression that to use this channel, a science degree would be desirable. But despite a science degree, I still struggled. I just wanted to upload a damn video, that's all. And it seems like you have to work with points. I don't know what. Okay, I'll give up. If you know of a platform, a sustainable platform. Look, I've been making videos for 10 years now here. If I join a platform, I don't want to abandon it in six months or three months or for it to close shop in a year and a half. I really want to post. But on a platform that really has solid foundations. There you have it. The problem, my problem, why I want a platform that's a little more liberal than here is simply that I'm very prone to blasphemy. In fact, since I was little, I've been threatened on numerous occasions with washing my mouth out with soap. Since I arrived in this world, I won't really hide it from you. As I'm going to tell you as I think it. Since I arrived in this world, I don't know what planet I came from. They keep trying to stuff my head with things. I'm surrounded by a world of people who can talk to me directly. But through tv, through screens, through newspapers that want to stuff my head with things, it never stops, my friends. So when I was little, they tried, you know, they told me that my head was as hard as a curb, okay? Just to give you the image that was used about me. And today I'm growing up, I have a family, I have a little girl, all that. And despite everything, they continue to want to stuff my head with stuff. And I continue to refuse and I continue to fall into blasphemy all the time. That's the meaning of this. Here's a little bit of the story of my Life summarized in 30 seconds. And I feel like I'm going to keep going like this. I'll get to my deathbed and there'll be someone there wanting to stuff my head with something again. Well, you might say on my deathbed, it's the least they can do. It's normal for there to be a guy next to you who wants to stuff your head with something. That's, that's, that's the. He's doing his job. But hey, at least wait until we die. Anyway, my friends, you've understood a little bit of the problem. I have. It's the whole point of my life. You, you know, I'm a reasonable guy. I don't hurt anyone. But there are lots of people who want me to believe things I don't believe. That's all. It's fine. It's fine. Well, if you want me to believe, I don't want to say I believe. If you want. If you want me to believe, tell me things that I can believe. That's all. But in fact, the world bombards me with things that neither my head nor my heart can accept, that I can't accept. On an instinctive level, on a gut level, it doesn't add up. But then if I start to dissect, if I start to put my intellect into it, if I start to compare them to reality, to each other and so on, then it's even worse. I feel like. I don't know, I think it's going to blow my mind after a while. I mean, we all have firewalls and all that stuff in the entrance of our heads. Except that right now, it's heating up. Right now the firewall is burning. I mean, it's okay. Stop at some point. Anyway, you get the idea of my mentality. Thank you for being here. Anyway, thank you for being here. It's really nice, honestly. We're going to see the French get screwed over, huh? Because what I've just told you, it's not going to stop like that. Wait, I'm going to turn it on if I can. It's not going to stop like that. This story is going to go on and on, okay? They're going to get screwed over again on other contracts. And the Americans, they have a secret weapon. They have a secret weapon. It's all French. To find it, I hope the counterintelligence services aren't working from home. Maybe that's the problem, too. Okay, I'll leave you and then I'll go home. See you soon, my friends.
