A French-language YouTube commentary reacting to the assassination of activist Charlie Kirk at the University of Utah. The speaker summarizes Kirk's public role (debater, conservative influencer close to Trump), describes the shooting site and circumstances (sniper on a roof about 130 m away; single shot around 12:30pm; local wind ~11 km/h per nearby METAR), criticizes apparent security failures, and warns that rising celebrations of political violence and ideological radicalization risk provoking wider civil conflict. The video ends with a brief promotion of the speaker's book on economic precarity.
My friends, hello here. America is waking up to the shock of political violence with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. He was an activist. He was also called an influencer, but he was more than that. He was close to Trump, someone who was often seen with him, who was also received at the White House. And he was a person who distinguished himself by often going to universities and saying, by displaying a banner, change my mind. Make me change my mind. And in fact, he was someone who favored debate. Not even verbal abuse. He was not known for. For violence, not even verbal abuse. He did not want to crush or humiliate those who were opposed to him. But he realized that there was a barrier in academic institutions and that it was impossible for a certain part of the political spectrum to sometimes even the dominant one, to express themselves, because there were. There are always minorities who are extremely vociferous, aggressive, who create what is called cancel culture, and who do not allow different opinions to be expressed. And so what he did was that he went to universities to free speech and allow more people to debate. And then the culture of debate is very important in a world today that is increasingly leaning towards the culture of assassination, as you may have noticed. So the case took place at the University of Utah. It is located somewhere between Orem and Provo. So it's a region that I know well because I work for a company in UTA and I had friends in Provo, so I often went to see them along the i15. The i15, which goes through several states. Uh, it goes through Nevada, Arizona, it crosses all of Ule, it goes to Wing and all that. And I shared with you some videos of this interstate. And just to tell you, we are in a region that is not the most W in America. We are not in Portland, Oregon, we are not in California or New York either. We are in a state that is extremely well maintained and economically prosperous. The people are very Christian, by the way. The dominant religion there is what they call the Latter Day Saints or the Mormons. So it's something. It's a very, very particular way of life there. People are extremely, extremely healthy, extremely friendly, very approachable, even if they perhaps have a slight tendency towards proselytizing and very, very nice. And in fact, it's really the last place, honestly, it's the last place where you would imagine a shooting like that, someone, a debater close to Trump who comes to discuss. Normally, it's like a letter in the mail. Normally it's practically on conquered territory. And what happened there is that there was a sniper. So there. I did A little bit of a superficial investigation. So I'll show you a little bit where it happens. So there's a kind of amphitheater, a little bit Roman style. So there are stairs, you know, that go down to a stage. So the stage is lowered compared to. You may not see it on the satellite images, but the stage is lowered. Right. What allows the audience to be in an arena? It's more like a Roman arena, like that, to be able to see the person who is at the back. Over there, there was a sort of. They built a sort of terrace, right? He was sitting on a chair. And in fact, the shooter was ambushed on a roof that overlooks this entire stage and which is about 130 meters away, still a very respectable distance. I looked at the Provo airport yesterday. I'm going to look at what are called metars, which are weather observations, because there is an automatic station at the Provo airport. So this is a station that takes a certain number of measurements every hour. And the measurement that interested me in this particular case, because we are not on the aviation channel, is the measurement of the wind, especially the wind force. So the wind I looked at one hour before, during and one hour after, it was relatively constant at 11 km h. So there was a wind of 11 km per hour. If we look at the shooter's perspective, he could feel these small breezes coming from the front. So if you like, this wind was coming from behind the victim and going towards the shooter, knowing that there is a building behind the victim. So probably at the level of the victim or the platform, we could feel no wind because there is a building behind that is protecting it. So just to give you an idea of the situation, so what happened is that there was a single shot that was fired at about 12:30pm what's terrible is that Charlie Kirk had a security detail, was accompanied by cars, black cars, like the secret services. So I don't know who was protecting him. Was it a private agency or a federal agency, or maybe a state agency or something? But in any case, he was traveling with security personnel. And what we see, and this is quite extraordinary, is that if you look at the election campaign in the United States, Trump almost got killed by a gunman who was in exactly the same circumstances. There was Trump's podium and lectern, he was speaking. And on a rooftop further away, a guy dressed in black with a rifle managed to shoot and pull out several times before there was a return fire. We wonder how the American security services that protect celebrities work, because they have always protected A perimeter, a fairly large perimeter around their clients. And in particular, if there was a place overlooking the stage or something, well, they would place one of their own men there or something. Well, here they are. And we wonder what they do. We have a shooter who is capable of going to stand in front of their client, aiming at him, killing him, and then, well, that's it, everyone. And what they did is that once there wasn't even an ambulance on site, what they did was they picked him up and ran with him. They put him in a car, he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. So that's already. I mean, at this point, I think everyone already understands the urgency of the thing. But I'll add another level to which America is waking up today and which risks radicalizing things even more than it feels. That is to say, you know, I give you as conservatives, right, there are lots of people on the other side, journalists and others, that we don't necessarily like. And they don't like us. It's reciprocal. They throw everything they can at us and all that. We're used to it, aren't we? But there's one thing, there's one thing I can tell you. Our side would never be happy to see one of these journalists get shot in front of his wife and children, okay? Because that doesn't correspond to our values. We're generally project, aren't we? And that's why when someone is against us, even if sometimes there are swear words, names that are exchanged, but deep down we hope that one day they will open their eyes. And we are very happy when that happens. But we never wish for violence against people. And if you look at the last 10 years, who has the monopoly on violence, which. Well, it's the left, the Democrats, what we call the left. So it's not really the word left. I'll talk about it another time. I'm not really for these left right labels, but we understand who we're talking about. It's a it. If we look a little further up on the roof, there's a staircase, there are stairs going down. So he could have gone down. Then around the campus, there are parking lots. So he probably had a vehicle there, maybe a motorcycle, maybe a car, maybe an accomplice he was waiting for. And from there he disappeared. And if we look to the side, well, indeed we. We have a sort of road that forms a crescent. And where does it end? Well, it ends on Interstate 15. That means once a person arrives on this endless interstate, well, they're gone. This is a Person who can travel 75 or 80 miles, and by the time you start looking for them, they're already very far away. So there's a photo of this person that was issued by the authorities. I think the world is too small for this guy to hide, because in terms of the level of wanted, he is wanted as much as bin Laden was in his time. He is not someone who is going to find refuge somewhere and then disappear and start a new life. That is not going to happen. He has the FBI behind him, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Arms, Tobacco and Firearms. Right. Uh, he also has alcohol behind him, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He also has the police, the UTA police. And probably, given that his personal involvement is so strong, he probably has several security or intelligence agencies looking for him. So the guy will be housed, right? It seems that by the time this video is over, he will already be housed. But what I'm trying to tell you is, well, it looks like they found his gun and everything. But beyond that, beyond that, beyond all that, there's something that terrifies America even more, which is that usually, or when we had an assassination like this, we could always say, well, there's a killer somewhere who took advantage of a security breach and managed to kill someone. These are things that happen in this world. Okay, I'm getting to that. It's terrible. It happens. Here's what's even scarier is that there are. There are. There are a lot of. There are a lot of celebrations of his death. More and more people, People on. There are videos that are being shared on TikTok, on Twitter and elsewhere. Uh, video messages. Huh? People who even write on Instagram to their wives, saying, well, there you go. Uh, you no longer have a husband. Your husband is dead. Are you sure? With your children. There are videos that are made, inexcusable videos already laughing and celebrating his death. And it's not just one person or two. It's literally a social phenomenon. It means that today we have reached a level where there is a part of society that is ready to kill. We have people who are zombified. Huh? Who are zombified by their ideology. They define themselves as the camp of good. And from the moment, they are the camp of good. Well, literally, God is with them. And they are ready to do anything. They are ready to kill everyone. And so this is something extremely worrying because this is, you know, what is called radicalization. A camp that becomes radicalized and believes it can kill. Generally, what it will do is trigger a Similar reaction from the opposing camp. So there is more and more radicalization, especially since there was a few days ago, a story. A story. Those who follow Axis know what I'm talking about. In a subway that had already, in an extreme way, heated up tempers. And I can understand the shock that it had on some and others. And then this happens. I would say today America is. It is a powder keg, literally. It means that. I think that one or two more blows like that, this story will end in civil war. It will really end with. Because if you like, we have one people today, we have one people today, but there are two projects of civilization. That means that before, if you look at the United States, France or wherever, you had people with different views, the same civilization project, but different ways of achieving it. Some think that we can achieve it with the left, others with the right, others with the Greens, others with the whites. But broadly speaking, everyone was trying to do the same thing, trying to achieve the same goal. So the differences weren't huge because we differed more on the method than anything else or sometimes on how we interpreted the situation today. We have countries that have an ideology that has been financed by the forces of money. Because, you know, ideologies won't evolve on their own. They need money behind them. So a lot of money has been poured into the W ideology. So that this ideology has divided peoples. It has divided peoples irreconcilably. That means we have a land of people today. That means we have. We have, we have more. We have. We have a very deep secession that creates groups in the same country that cannot live together, that are ready to kill each other. And so right now we have one group that has a monopoly on violence, but all the other has to do is say, declare, well, it responds. And at that point, you see what happens. It will end up with countries that split in two, and then, well, that's it. There will be a line between them and then each will live their own project and we'll see who will get out of it. But this is something that is really going in the wrong direction. In any case, my friends, thank you for watching this video right here. I remind you, I remind you of my swindling book that you can find on Amazon in paperback or Kindle format that will give you a lot of information to help you understand not the situation we are talking about, but rather how our pockets are being emptied, our savings destroyed, and we are being pushed more and more collectively towards precariousness in order to enrich a minority that cloaks itself in environmentalism and tells us, well, it's the end of the world. You pay us, or else you have to pay us because we are the only ones who can receive you. Thank you for watching this video so far, and I hope to come back another time with better news.
