A short YouTube monologue arguing that to build real self-confidence you should deliberately submit to unforgiving, skills-based challenges (e.g., scuba diving, flying, parachuting). The speaker contrasts common positive-thinking tips with hands-on, high-stakes activities that provide immediate, objective feedback—survival or success shows you are not the worthless image you may have inherited from childhood—and stresses self-validation over seeking approval from others.
Hello, friends. Earlier I was watching and reading an article by a professional coach who gave advice on how to feel more confident, how to be more assertive, more secure, and how to develop that. So I'm going to tell you a story I read. He gave 15 on LinkedIn. He gave no less than 15 methods. I read the 15 methods. It was interesting, but they were 15 methods to work on yourself, to encourage yourself, to tell yourself that you're not that bad, to think positively, things like that. Yes, that's good. It's good to say it. It's true we're not told enough to think positively, but in practice. What does that mean? Well, in practice it's not enough. I'll give you a technique that helped me a lot at one time that can help you too, which is to submit to a challenge. Submit to a challenge in a context where mistakes pay or mistakes are punished, or the wages of sin or immediate death. Ideally, for example, take scuba diving lessons. It doesn't cost much. It's within everyone's reach. You don't need to be in extraordinary health to do it. But there are steps, there are actions, there are checks, there is a technique. And if we make a mistake, if we mess up, if we are as bad as our parents told us, if we are worthless, if we are incapable as we think, if we are total losers, what will happen? We won't do the right things. And then we will fill up with water and we will drown, we will die. Okay, so when you're faced with actions like this, it could be parachuting, it could be, I don't know, it's more expensive. But doing aviation, going to the flying club, getting your pilot's license, or flying in a microlight, or doing things like that, these are activities where you make a terrible mistake. So if the guy goes underwater and comes back up half an hour, like four hours later, and he didn't drown, it's because he's not completely bad. Because he would have been bad, he would have been a total loser. He would have stayed. Because we're in environments, it's not there. It's not there. It's not an environment with people who judge you subjectively, who like you and who don't like you and all that. This is serious stuff. This is environments. If you do things right, yes. If you do things wrong, you stay there. It's the same in many, many, many activities. That's how it is. What's the advantage of doing this? It develops self esteem, it develops a different self image. Because the problem Is that many people have this degraded image of themselves sometimes it's linked to childhood in linked to parents, it's linked to bad experiences in life. It's linked to a bad marriage, many, many things like that. And the reality is that at some point we need to restore our image. Not in the eyes of the world, but in our own eyes. Because if we think we're worthless or that we're a loser or whatever we've been told is dirty in the past, well, we won't be able to convey a different image. Of course, we do what we want. We won't be able to convey a different image. You have to convince the person. I want to say it's not the planet, it's not your employer, it's not your spouse or anything else that you need to convince that you are worthy. It's yourself. You need to convince yourself. You need to tell yourself that once you're convinced, well, from that point on the rest will go easily. Because then you'll radiate that in society. You see? There you go. That was just a very short video. I won't tell you much more than that. But think about it. Challenge yourself. Put yourself in unforgiving challenges. From there, it's very simple. We have the sanction, okay? The sanction. If you think you're as bad as your mom or dad told you, you, you wouldn't be here. We have to turn that around. Because one of the problems we have is that the things we acquired during our childhood, the likes, dislikes, shocks, worries, passions that come from childhood are very difficult to question. There are few people who would think that. Yes, but I was a child. So if I thought that it was because it was false, where my mother told me that I was a good Aryan. But my mother, well, she only talks nonsense. She spent her whole life until her death talking nonsense. So she talks nonsense. She said anything. So what she said about me is false. Few people are capable of thinking that. Because even if they think it on an intellectual level, on a visceral level, they have a hard time thinking it. Because that's what remains deep down. Okay, thank you, my friends. See you in the next video.
