A French-language YouTube monologue reacting to the recent killing of a Jordanian pilot by ISIS (reportedly burned alive). The speaker contextualizes the execution within broader dynamics: online encouragement of brutality, the limits of prisoner-exchange logic, Western support/training of Syrian rebels, and the risk of ISIS-inspired returnees and attacks in Europe. The piece mixes factual references to contemporary media reports with historical analogies (including WWII) to argue that political and military responses have been inadequate and to warn of worsening violence.
Good evening, my friends. This video is a bit of a break from the usual flow of videos. I was talking about history, and today I'm talking about current events. So what's happening is that there's some news that's just broken. It's not really news. It's that the Jordanian pilot who fell at the hands of terrorists who call themselves the Islamic State has just been killed, and his assassination took an extremely horrible form. He was apparently burned alive, according to the first images that are emerging. So, in fact, I wanted to talk to you about this subject a few days ago, but I tried to blog responsibly, if you will, because what's happening is that it was clear from the start, as soon as he fell into their hands, that they were reserving an unenviable fate for him. What they did was they went online and started asking their supporters everywhere, including in Europe, what would be the most cruel method they could think of to execute him. And so what happened was that people were voting on Twitter in comments and so on. And I think the consensus was precisely on that method. I didn't want to blog about it and say he was going to give him an unenviable fate while the guy was still alive, because I didn't want to create a context where a particularly cruel execution would be expected. So I wanted to be a little reserved about that. But what happened is that Jordan tried to negotiate his release in exchange for a certain number of terrorists that it was holding in its prisons. So what happened is that we have to understand that this logic was doomed to fail anyway. It's a bit like the story of the atomic bomb. So the story of the atomic bomb. Let me explain something quickly. It's that the story of the atomic bomb cannot take place against two partners or two stakeholders who value life equally. Okay? At that point, each can make a threat that would make the other strike with these people. These people want to die and die as quickly as possible. So you can't put their lives on the line. You tell them, we'll kill terrorists if you kill our pilot. Because they know very well you really have to know in advance that these people want to die and they want their people to die, too. So you can't negotiate life with people who don't value life anyway. Worse still, there's worse is that when Jordan said, if you kill our pilot, we'll kill the terrorists we have in prison, quote, in fact, by that same statement, they encouraged the fact that their pilot was killed. Sure. Don't get me wrong. I Didn't say that. If the Jordanians hadn't said that, the pilot would have been spared. No, he would have been killed anyway. But what I'm trying to say is that ISIS is trying to plunge the world into the Middle Ages, into darkness, into chaos, into a system where there is no more law, into a system where force reigns, revenge reigns. Do you understand what I mean? What that means is that if. Let's imagine, if Jordan were to say, if you want to free our pilot, we'll free the terrorists we have here, or if you kill him, we'll kill the terrorist. If you kill him in a particularly cruel way, we'll kill the terrorists in a particularly cruel way. What would they choose? They'd choose the third option. Why? Because it would be a huge victory for these terrorists if a state like Jordan started taking terrorists out of prisons and then pouring gasoline on them and setting them alight. Do you understand? Because that's the kind of world they want humanity to live in, that they want humanity to return to, right? So now what's going to happen is that Jordan says, well, we're going to kill the terrorists. I don't think they're going to burn them alive. They're probably going to hang them or something or give them a sentence of that nature. Now Jordan is waking up to terrorism. They're reaching the dawn of terrorism today because it's hitting them. You shouldn't think that the Jordanians, that the Jordanian system is absolutely against terrorism, right? It's like some people in France still, in the same vein, say we are for freedom of expression. Who are they talking about? They are talking about freedom of expression for themselves and for people they agree with, but they do not respect the freedom of expression of others at all. Do you understand? Jordan is the same. They are against terrorism if it affects them. So I'll show you a number of articles that I found. So this one from the Washington Post, it dates from April 2013. So what's going on? They're talking about Jordan leading the Syrian opposition, right? They were still called the opposition at the time. And the word ISIS and all that came much later. So I'll show you The Guardian from March 2013, which talks about Western countries training what? Training Syrian rebels. So it's not talking about the opposition, it's talking about rebels. The Washington Post is really so pro ISIS that they call them opposition. So Guardian tries to say rebels, but still neutrally, huh? Oni Swakamali thinks the BBC in April 2013, OK, talks about a clandestine operation to train Rebels in Australia and Jordan. Wall Street Journal again in November. Okay? At that time, they talk about rebels. There we went from opposition to rebels. I think that by 2020, they will say terrorists. That's Force News. Force News, same thing. The United States is training the opposition in Jordan. And there are hundreds of them like that. In fact, what happened is that, as always, it's the monstrous beast that turns against its master. So as long as the Jordanians were killing Syrians, disgorging Syrian soldiers, gassing Syrian children, eating Syrian organs and so on, for them, they were perfectly valid, completely respectable people. From the moment they had the pilot, the Jordanian pilot in their hands, at that moment, they became terrorists. Do you understand what I mean? That's it. It's this problem, this problem of moral relativity. Let's say that is why the free world is failing against terrorism, because no one wants to condemn it. Firmly, with a uniform voice. There was the fact that just a week ago, the United States confirmed that they were going to continue training the rebels Once again in 2015, the Syrian rebels to bring down the regime of Bashar Assad. So there you have it. Uh, still, in this logic, they are paying them. They started out as a group of terrorists, and now they have become an organization of international scope, thanks to the billions that are poured into them, the weapons and so on. What worries me is because there is a very important point that you have to see that perhaps the word Islamic State can hide from you. I'll tell you something. What is happening with ISIS is not a crazy regime. It is not a dictatorial regime, let's say, headed by a crazy dictator who gives crazy orders and so on, like the ones the world has known. That is not it at all. It is something much more democratic than that. Let me explain. This terrorist state that we call the Islamic State is an organization that is the emanation, which is the will, the totally free will, chosen of a faction of Arab Muslim society who formed it. It was formed by young people, young men, young women, some at the age of 13, 12, others older at 20, 25, 30, who left of their own free will, with their own money, their own means, who left in series because these atrocities which they saw, like everyone else, like you and me, corresponded to something that they themselves wanted to reproduce and in which they wanted to participate. Okay? So here, for example, we see this Jordanian pilot being burned alive. That's going to be on the front pages of the media everywhere. And what's going to happen is that tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, etcetera, we'll see kids of 14, 15 years old supporting these people. So really wanting to adhere to this kind of thing and even wanting to join them. Okay? And I think that Western leaders and Europeans in general, France in particular, because France, Belgium too, Belgium is a very large supplier of this kind of monster, do not yet measure the impact that will fall. Sure. I have been telling you this for years. I will repeat it to you again. Do you really expect tens of thousands of deaths in Europe, really? And in a relatively short time frame? Because when these people get tired of committing their atrocities in Syria, because we have to know that at some point there will be no more food, there will be no one left to kill. They will be against them. Ah. All the houses, the buildings will be destroyed. The whole earth will have returned to the state it was a million years ago. I mean, at some point, we will have to continue shedding human blood elsewhere. Being human is what they are most passionate about. So he will come back to you because he knows your streets, he knows your houses. Some of them were born there. And as your authorities say, well, we can't legally stop them from coming back and we can't even stop them from calling for jihad, as your minister said, or whatever. So this is something that is going to go really badly, huh? This is something that is really bad. Uh, honestly, I'm not going to scare you or anything, but, hey, we live in a world that has a kind of cause and effect sequence, and each effect has its own causes, and each effect will itself be a cause for something that will come. And this is a universal law that has never been denied. So there you have it. I'm comparing with other countries. I'm comparing what happened in Algeria with what happened in Pakistan and other places. And honestly, honestly, I don't see why it would be any different for you. And at that point, no one moved. You have to know that in France, it's not a. Don't take it the wrong way. It's not an insult or anything like that. You have completely screwed up leaders. You have to know that because. How can I put it? Every nation tends to repeat the same mistakes throughout the ages. It's not just Muslim nations that repeat these horrors throughout the ages. There are also nations like France that repeat what? That repeat cowardice throughout the ages. You have to know that during the Second World War, before the Second World War, the French considered Hitler a worthy partner. Ah. While he was amassing armies on the borders, he didn't move. He watched him until the moment they were invaded. Okay. And it took the Americans to come, well, to say that he hadn't lost interest, but to come and save them. Otherwise the Nazi flag would be flying over Paris City hall today and no one would be there. And those who criticize it would go to prison. They'll be considered extremists. Do you understand that the winning system will always impose its own moral order? What's happening is that France already has a history of buying into it. Do you understand? There's a real history of buying into it. There's a history in this country of having people who are sharpening their knives to attack you. And there's a history of considering it as something like a non event until the moment it happens. So when I talk to you about the Second World War, it's not that I'm interested in the details of the Second World War itself. That's in the past. It's in the past. That's very far away now. But I'm interested in the psychology behind it. And that hasn't been dismantled up until now. No one has explained or tried to counter or prevent the recurrence of the phenomena that caused France not to act. While Hitler's armies were clearly preparing to invade, no one did anything. So it's true that we've had to rehash many things related to World War II, but on this point, which required real work, I haven't seen any work done. So that means there's a huge risk of recurrence. And at this point, I, I'm starting to see it. It means that, well, we wait. We wait. We wait. And in 20 years time, we'll wonder why France didn't act when there were thousands of people who wanted to commit assassinations in France and massacre the population and so on. We'll wonder why France didn't act. And we'll make a connection with World War II. People will say, yes, but they're used to it. It's not the first time they've done this. There you go. And then regarding the French soldiers, I wanted to tell you something. I learned that the French soldiers who are taking part in the VG pirate plan are not armed. Well, the, they have weapons, but they're not loaded. And I thought it was completely crazy to do that to soldiers. Because if you put yourself in a place, you put yourself at a crossroads in a country where there is a proven risk of terrorism and you have a fake weapon or an unloaded weapon, you are really designated as a target. You designate yourself as a target. Because if there are theorists who want to attack, they will consider you a priority target. Whereas if they know that you are not armed, if you are not armed at all, you show a white flag from the start, you run the same risk of getting shot as any passerby. Okay, so in fact, French soldiers are really being targeted. They are being shown as targets. They are being put on a pedestal. They are being dressed from head to toe in a different color from the general public. They are being given weapons that they will not be able to fight back with, and then they are being left there. Today, three of them were being attacked with a knife by another koulibaly. No lumping things together, please. Anyway, that's it. Honestly, my friends, I am feeling pessimistic today, but I think it's just a little dose of realism, that's all. It won't hurt anyone.
