Travail à domicile ou Arnaque : Faire suivre du courrier

A French-language YouTube monologue warning viewers about a common "work from home" scam that asks people to act as mail‑forwarding agents. The speaker reads a typical offer (receive packages, re‑label and forward them) and then explains the true scheme: criminals use stolen payment credentials or hijacked browser sessions to buy goods shipped to the victim, then have the victim forward items to transient drop addresses. When sellers discover fraud, victims' names and addresses appear in police files and they can face investigation, civil claims, or prosecution. The video closes with a direct caution to be careful when seeking online work.
Hello, friends. I received a message from someone who was looking for work online. It was a job offer. She received it on Facebook. She was on a telegram group. And this is the offer she was given. Here it is. You work from home. There are a lot of mothers like you who work for us. And what you need to do is simply forward mail. This means that you receive mail at home and have it forwarded the same day, ideally to addresses that we will give you. This can be in the same country or abroad. And of course, you are paid for this service. So in general, these types of scams come with a cover. Like, for example, you are going to help people who work in humanitarian aid. They are all over Africa, they do humanitarian work or missionaries. If we want to play on your religious side, or it could be if we want to play on your patriotic side, they could be soldiers who are stationed in Iraq, who are stationed on missions in Sub Saharan Africa and everywhere. In fact, you are going to forward their mail to them. So you are a mail forwarding agent, a scam that can really get you into trouble. Let me tell you what the goal of the game is really, that you follow these people. So this is going to happen. You follow them, they are going to ask for your address, all that, give you a form to fill out and everything. A few days later, the mailman is going to ring, you start receiving packages. You are going to receive packages that can come from Amazon online shopping sites and everything. You receive them then, of course, scrupulously, what you are going to do is put new labels on them according to the addresses they give you. It could be in Poland, as I said, it could be in Africa, it could be anywhere in the world, or even in the same country where you live. And in fact, you go to the post office and you ship them, you send them the shipping labels. They will pay you. They will actually pay you. They will give you money, they will give you your commission. What happens next? Well, you do this for a while. In a week, two or three. And one day at 6am There is a much more brutal knock than what you just heard. They knock, you open the door, there are the police, sometimes there are customs, there are the tax authorities. It depends on how many people there are, how many services have decided to go out of their way for you. In fact, that is the key or the secret of the scam. In fact, these are people, these are groups of criminals who steal bank cards. So either they see them themselves or they buy them on the dark web, all that stuff. They buy lots of bank cards, they need a shipping address. So what they're going to do is they're going to give you your shipping address so that the merchandise can be shipped to you. Sometimes they even steal accounts on the dark web. Sometimes you have online accounts like bank accounts, somet sometimes even with cookies. Because you have to know one thing. When there are cookies in the browser, the bank's system tends to generally put less security. For example, if you log in from a new computer, since there's no typo on your browser from the bank, you're never logged in before. What they're going to do is they're usually going to send you a text message or ask for security details. But on the other hand, if you're already logged in, they tend to just accept the password and log in. For the most part. In this case, on the dark web, you can even find browser shells, sessions that are stolen that you can install, you can put on your browser. And at that point the banking system will think that you are already connected. So these are very powerful systems. In any case, they have stolen credit cards or PayPal accounts or what. The idea is that they now need to transform this theft into money. So they will go here and there, they will buy iPads, they will buy expensive products, they will buy jewelry, they will buy anything by giving your address and your name as the recipient. So you will send these products to addresses that may still be forwarded. But the net result is that when the sellers, when I don't know my Amazon or whatever, when they discover that they have been defrauded because suddenly the bank blocks the transaction, what will happen? They will file a complaint. They're going to go to the police and say, we've been defrauded. There's a customer here who used a stolen PayPal account. He used a stolen bank card and everything. So what name are they going to give? They're going to give your name and address. And in reality, you're going to go to the police with a lot of transactions. That means in the police file, suddenly they're going to see 200 or 300 cases where you appear in a week. It looks like you went shopping with very high damages, right? €1,000 here, €500 there, €2,000 there. So imagine that the bill is going to add up very quickly. And in relation to the police, in relation to the sellers, you're the crook, you're the scammer, you're ordering with fake cards or with stolen accounts or whatever. That's why in the long term, you're going to end up with the police at home. And they could even take you to court and ask you to reimburse. That means the different websites that have been let go, and they'll say you let them go, and they'll want their money. They'll want you to pay for products that you've already shipped. And of course, the addresses you ship to are probably also temporary addresses. Mailboxes, ruined houses, squats, all. All that people took the packages and then they disappeared the flawless names they gave you. And there you go, you're left to deal with the music, as they say. So I just wanted to give you this warning because it's unfortunately very, very common for people looking for work online. Be very careful with this type of scheme. Thanks, my friends. I'll see you in another video.
