Visa H1B supprimé par Trump : choc pour les travailleurs indiens !

This is a YouTube video titled "Visa H1B supprimé par Trump : choc pour les travailleurs indiens !" created in September 2025. The content is a monologue discussing the impact of former President Trump's executive order that drastically increased fees for the H1B visa, effectively ending its widespread use. The speaker explains the consequences for Indian tech workers, the abuse of the visa system by companies like Microsoft, and related visa fraud schemes. The video provides a detailed analysis of the visa policy changes and their broader economic and social implications.
Good morning, my friends. The news this morning is that Trump overnight nukes the H1B visa, the Indian visa, the visa that allows American companies to bring in cheap Indian labor. Of course, the visa wasn't created for India. We agree on that. But on the other hand, literally 75% of the allocations go to Indians, who today in the United states occupy almost 3/4 of the positions related to technology development. And it. The situation has reached such a point that today in the United States, someone studying computer science is twice as likely to be unemployed as someone studying art history. It's reached that level. Companies are no longer recruiting Americans, and they prefer to look for Indian labor because it comes at a discount. It comes with a 36% pay cut, plus a forced labor force, plus a workforce that doesn't have much choice, that isn't very mobile, that won't move around much, that will accept the working conditions imposed on it. So what made Trump react? And I'll tell you what he did is what he did to nuclearize this visa that is now de facto and literally destroyed. Uh, he cites in his executive order, that came as a surprise. He cites a company without naming it. In fact, it's the Microsoft scandal this summer. What did Microsoft do this summer? They announced literally the same week that they were laying off 16,000 people. So people were being laid off en masse in the United States and elsewhere, and at the same time, they applied for 5,000 H1B visas that same week to bring in foreign labor. So this actually caused quite a stir in the United States, and it was the straw that broke the camel's back, because it showed that American companies normally use this visa to bring in exceptional talent. Well, instead of exceptional talent, it was simply cheap forced labor that was being brought in to replace the American workforce that was increasingly being sidelined. Americans who studied at universities and then graduated with degrees had literally next to zero chances of finding work in a market that favored H1B visas. Let me add one more detail. When an employer does this, when a company does this, the others are also forced to do the same. Why? It's not a question of principle or values or anything else, but simply of profitability. Imagine the following. Have a company that employs Americans and pays them a fair wage. Well, a company opens up across the street and offers similar services, but this one uses H1BS, so it gets much cheaper employees and more work. The company that doesn't have H1B employees, well, it does calls for tenders. When it does quotes, it will always be more expensive and it will have no chance of existing in that market. So it too will be forced to chase away local labor and bring in cheaper labor. So this snowballed until today. Literally, as I told you at the beginning of the video, 3/4 of the people working in tech in 2003, about a third came from India. Today, it's almost 2/3, 3/4. Just to give you an idea. So what did Trump do to brutally nuclearize this visa? So, first of all, what's happening now is that visa fees have skyrocketed. Well, they've increased 100 fold. Before, you had to pay roughly $1,000 in fees, right? To get this visa today, you have to pay $100,000. And it's not $100,000 just for the application. It's $100,000 per year. So companies that want to. Let's say a company bring in 10 people with this visa, well, they have to pay $1 million per application. The $1 million is kept, or rather the $100,000 per visa is kept, whether the visa is accepted or refused. That means in the event of a visa refusal, the $100,000 is not reimbursed. So that's lost. And then every year, to renew the visa, you have to pay $100,000. So in practice, we can say that this visa is dead. There will no longer be factories like there used to be factories that allowed people to bring in entire villages. Because you also need to know one thing. There was a lot of ethnic capture. That means. I've seen this in many companies where you have a group that arrives, and then they bring in people who are affiliated with them, people who are related to them, people who come from the same region. And gradually you end up completely cleaning up the company. And then the company turns into a large tribe, to the detriment of the employees. The others. The others. The other employees. So there's also a. There's also in the. It just came out. So there's some uncertainty. But one of the important points is that people who have the H1B and who are abroad, who. Well, they have to. If they want to return to the United States, they have to pay $100,000. And this starting tomorrow, Sunday. So starting December 21st. So we're going to September 21st. So let's say that today at 12:01am at the U.S. border Police, those who want to return with an H1B visa, who are abroad, for example, who are on vacation, or sometimes they're not on vacation, sometimes they're working remotely. This means That a lot of people get this visa and that was part of the fraud. Indeed, many people got it and actually lived in India and then worked remotely, sometimes even in multiple jobs, as I talked about in a previous video. And in fact today, if they want to come back, well, they don't really have time anymore because it's too late. The weather doesn't allow them to come back because it was announced at the last minute. So some people might run, try to catch a plane to get to the United States before midnight. But it's going to be a bit tight from India because even a direct flight takes 16 hours. If you have to take a flight that's not direct via Dubai or somewhere else, we're talking about 24 or 25 hours to get there, not including delays, of course. So someone leaving from Delhi, it already takes 24 hours to get to the United States, to New York. Let's say someone who leaves from a more distant place has no chance because they already have to commute to beds by road, which takes hours taking a plane, there are maybe one or two flights a day. So it's going to be a race to get to the United States for many. But in any case, this is an organized fraud system that is being dismantled. Of course, what will also happen in reaction is that we think that many companies will use offshoring even more. But I'm sure that a mechanism will probably be put in place to prevent offshoring. For the moment, the problem with tech is offshoring. Why? Let me explain quickly. And this also affects France, it affects Europe. That is to say, if you offshore to manufacture a product, lets say you offshoreize to manufacture a tractor, then you need to bring the tractor back from abroad to sell it in France. Well, at customs we still have a boat arriving and there are lots of tractors being unloaded. So there is a possibility of collecting customs duties that may make the maneuver less interesting for the person doing it. So there is the possibility of creating a tariff system, but on latex it is not possible. Because if you bring back 10 million euros worth of tractors, it is very visible, isn't it? They are yellow, they are heavy and everything. But if you bring back 10 billion services of script code, things like that, it is not even noticeable. Why? Because it is transferred over the Internet. You can have a team of 100 people working abroad who are going to create a program worth 1 million euros. Well, that program can literally be posted via GitHub. It can be committed to a server or something like that. No one sees it. No one knows it. There is no port, no customs, no nothing. And this is precisely in the tech professions that are causing this imbalance that I have illustrated with a few figures. There is also another visa that is also used, but this one does not concern the Trump executive today. There is another visa that is used. It is the EB1 visa, which is what is called the Einstein visa. It is a very special visa that was normally created for people with exceptional talent, people who could potentially be Nobel laureates. Basically, that is why it was created to allow people of that level to immigrate to the United States. So today, this is what is happening today. There are agencies in India. You pay them, they do this. They go to scientists and they give them about. It costs about $500, roughly, but you can find it for less for $500. They cite you in their study. So you see, you have published studies reviewed by fathers. So what they do is they find scientists for you. Scientists are by nature broke. They are typically PhD students. They live in a studio, they ride their bikes. They can't take their girlfriend out to dinner. So you give them $500. They are about to finish a study, and they put your name on it. So, in fact, you become someone who is involved in a study or in another context, who is cited in studies. They can cite you, then they pay for citations. They pay for you to be an author. And then after a while, they can really create one of those academic records for you. That really makes you someone who is very. You are someone who is very cited, very followed. That's the first point. Another thing they do with the EB1 visa is they organize conferences, three fake conferences. What they actually do is they create a website. They create a conference. For example, the Leah Genius conference, which will be held in London in October 2025. It will be from the first to the third. And then people who are international leaders in this field will come and speak. They rent a conference room, they make some press releases, they invite two or three local newspapers. And then what they do is they bring their clients to this conference to speak. That means you pay $2,000. You come and speak at the conference. And in fact, these people are just there to take pictures, to build an immigration application. And in reality, at the conference, there is a fake audience. All the people who speak are clients of this company. And then sometimes even the local newspapers that publish it don't really know that it's a scam. They think that, well, there's a conference on AI in our city. Well, I got A press invitation. I went, I took some photos, I talked about it. And those are also articles that will be added to immigration files with the photos and all that. So with this, we managed to create the profile of someone who really comes across as an exceptionally talented guy. After all, the guy, he's 0.0. The guy, the guy doesn't have any particular training, doesn't have any interesting ideas, nothing. He's just someone who paid to get this visa. So you see scams for this type of visa. Well, it's generalized to all. To all types of visas. In fact, there's no limit these days. So Trump has just kicked the anthill and we'll see what happens. Now, if we look at what's happened the last few times when he's tried things like this, you're going to see a judge in the coming hours. I like it when they say a judge because. Because it seems like this is a country run by judges. So a judge somewhere in Florida or North Carolina, it doesn't matter. A judge said, no, he blocked it. And then, well, it went on for weeks and all that, and then another judge blocked it and so on, on another point and so on. So we'll see what happens. But in reality, this is really Trump's war against companies that didn't clearly mention Microsoft. This is the executive branch talking about a company that fired 10,000 people here. I think it fired 15,000 people. She has applied for 5,000 visas. That's exactly what Microsoft did a few weeks ago. Thank you, my friends, for watching this video. And if there's any news like this, I'll be back. See you soon.
