Can AI Help Me with Content Creation?
11 Jun 2024 · 6 min
Brittany Long walks through a workflow to find real audience questions on Reddit and turn them into content scripts. Use Zapier to catch hot posts from relevant subreddits, save them to Google Sheets, then prompt ChatGPT to generate hooks, outlines, and scripts for YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn. The point is to test, see what works, and iterate.

I just don't know what to talk about. That's what one of my students of AI 200k said to me recently when we were talking about content creation. And I thought, okay, I wonder if I can make this easier with AI now. I'm sure by now you can go into ChatGPT and basically say, hey, I have this audience, I have these questions that people ask me. What are some of the topics? Create a content calendar for me. You definitely can do all of that. So if you're already doing that, awesome, you are ahead of the game compared to how a lot of other folks are using it. But we can even go a little bit further and get current up to date questions and stuff that people have. So let me share how we do that today on the Doable podcast. All right, you're going to need Zapier for this one. Now, Zapier did not sponsor this, but hey, Xavier, if you're listening, would love to have you as a sponsor because I am a huge fan. Okay, so what we're going to do is go into Zapier and I am connecting Reddit and Zapier today, among some other things. But let's talk about the Reddit first. So in Reddit, it's a great place. You're doing research, let's say for your audience, the questions they're asking, the problems they're having, the feelings they're feeling. If you want to do research on those things, Reddit's a great place to go because it's solid information where people are sharing those things and usually sharing them pretty raw and it's a little bit unfiltered. So if you're looking for, people are saying in like a Facebook group or something like that, usually, not always, but usually you're gonna be a little bit more cautious about their words. But then on Reddit, it's a little bit unhinged. They really, you know, are really saying what they think. They're really giving in depth examples, looking for advice and they're looking for help. And so my favorite places to go for research for turning the inside out of my audience or the audience of a client I'm working with. I love Reddit. So what we're going to do is connect Reddit with Zapier. That's the first one. So if you don't already have a Reddit account, you're going to want to get one. You'll connect, you'll add in Reddit to there and then we're going to pick some subreddits that need hot topics from. So for example, the subreddit that I pegged was the mom it Reddit, which is for moms. And then I said basically anytime there's a hot topic for moms in Reddit Reddit, it'll say like it is a hot topic. Lots of people are commenting. I'll do is take that post with Zapier, automatically pull that post and put it into a spreadsheet for me, and then I have it connect with ChatGPT. And basically what I do is I'll say I want you to tell me five ways that this problem could be solved with the help of ChatGPT or AI. So that's for my niche. I'm doing, you know, on AI for mom entrepreneurs. Makes a lot of sense. But let's say that you are teaching horse riding skill to adults who have never ridden a horse before. So like really specific. So the subreddit you might choose would be animals. And then anytime there's something with horses, that's what we're going to pull out. Or maybe it would be in the hobby section, but either way you're going to pick that subreddit specifically for for horses. Then you're going to have ChatGPT pull out questions that people are asking. You're going to have it out hooks that you could use for that particular topic or for that particular question, even have it come up with an outline for maybe a YouTube video. But these are questions that people are actually asking. Not just, you know, that we assume they might be asking, but questions that they're actually asking that they want help on and that a lot of people are commenting on. So the connection here we have Zapier, Reddit, ChatGPT, and then I'm using Google Sheets to put that information into it every day. At the end of the day I can go in there, take a look at the questions that have been answered, and then I can use that to create content for TikTok, for Reels, for Instagram, for Facebook, for LinkedIn, for anything. No, this is a question that at least some people have and actually want an answer to right now. In addition to scripts for a YouTube video, you could also do a script for TikTok or for a reel, but create a Facebook post. I would say if you have it, do a Facebook post to give it some examples in zapier of who your audience is, how you write things like that, just to make it more of what you're looking for right from the get go. This takes a little bit longer to set up than Something like Marketing Magic. So if you're like, I don't want to set all that up, then I'd recommend Marketing Magic. I'll drop the link to that in the show notes. A great tool where basically you put in your audience and then it spits out information for you, spits out copy. I don't think it does with Reddit, but it does so many other things that are really fantastic. So you're wanting to, if you're not wanting to do a lot of back and forth money into specific with your audience, but you don't really care about giving it like feedback and stuff like you would in chat GPT, then Marketing Magic is going to be a great option for you. And that's actually not my product, that's somebody else's that I just recommend because it's good. I'll drop that link below. But either way, whether you're using Marketing Magic or you're using the section I talked about with Zapier and Reddit Boutique and Google Sheets, you're going to find more of what your people are talking about. Ideas on content that use. You know, I think if I can leave you with anything, it is to take action and to not wait until you have it perfect. Sometimes you won't know exactly what your audience wants until you get it out there and you can kind of split and see what's working and not working and then do more of what's working. And when you figure out what's working, you can copy those examples into ChatGPT or Claude and say something along the lines of, okay, I really want you to thing work with more ideas around this kind of topic or this kind of script, because that's what's working. My name is Brittany Long. I'm the host obviously of this podcast of the Mom Entrepreneurs Using AI to Save Time and Make Money Podcast. I know it's the longest name of all time and the creator of AI200K. I'll talk to you soon.
