Is your workflow the reason that you're not getting the traffic you want, not getting the sales you want? In today's episode, we're going to talk about that and I'm going to show you how to create a workflow that's going to work for you regardless of what your life looks like. And I'll show you how to create that today. Let's jump into it. My name is Brittany Long. I'm the creator of AI200K, former award winning educator, professional copywriter, and now AI guide. And once ChatGPT came out and I knew my copywriting business would be impacted, I learned everything that I could about AI so that I could become your AI guide today. Now, first things first. Is a workflow or maybe a lack of a workflow impacting your ability to make sales and to get the traffic you want? The short answer is yes. And if you feel scattered or like you're a chicken running around with your head cut off, it probably does have something to do with your workflow. A lot of people I work with either don't have any kind of workflow at all or they have one that only works when all the conditions are perfect. And I don't know about you, but I can't remember the last time all the conditions have been perfect for me. And things went exactly to plan for the entire day. I think if you have kids or you're taking care of your parents or really have anything on else going on in life that is outside of your control, even something as small as traffic can really throw off your entire day. And today's workflow is really going to be one that you can customize to you and one that's going to work for your lifestyle. We are not going to say, okay, this is 0 to 100. We're going to create this complex workflow for you to do every single day. Because that just at least for me and I think for a lot of people that's not how life really works. And so the workflow we're going to be creating today is going to work for you and the non ideal times in your life. So the days where life is not going, going exactly how you want, or your day's not going exactly how you want, or something popped up, it's still going to work on those days. All right, now the first thing we need to do is a time study. We want to get clear on what is happening in your business, what is on your plate already. And once we know that, it's going to be a lot Easier to see what we need to delete. Automate, delegate. One of the reasons people feel like they're spinning their wheels and not getting anywhere is because they're spending a lot of time on things that don't actually move the needle forward. The things that don't make you any money, the things that don't save you any time. A lot of folks spend so much time on those things because it's what you've always done or it's what somebody said was the right thing to do years ago and maybe it's not anymore, or simply because it's more comfortable. One of the reasons I was struggling so much with workflow at the beginning of the year was because of things that I was putting in my workflow I did not want to do. Even though they were the things that would move my needle forward, they felt really uncomfortable. And because I was trying to do all of it at once, I wasn't doing any of it. Now, today we're going to be talking about a content workflow specifically, but you can actually apply this to any kind of workflow. We picked content because that's one of the ones that I get asked the most about. So first, let's talk about this time study. Ideally, we want to do it for at least four days, or if you have a five day work week, then five days. But we want to do it every day that you're working and from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed. Now, I know you might be thinking, oh, Brittany, I don't need to clock in those times when I'm not actually working, but how many times do you get a message and you reply right away or you think, oh, I need to post this thing? And you post it and it's not in your normal work hours. And I think for a lot of folks, normal work hours is an oxymoron because a lot of us work outside of quote, unquote, normal work hours or the work hours we say we're going to work. So that's why we want to track from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed. So you really see how much time you're spending on which things we also want to track every 15 minutes. And I know that sounds so annoying, but I promise you're going to get the best results if you do it this way. If you track it at the end of the day and try to remember what you've done, there's so many things you're going to miss and you're not going to get the data points you need to make this time study really work for you. So just trust me on this. You're going to get a lot more insight by doing every 15 minutes from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed. For me, I try to set a small alarm that's not super disruptive, that can just remind me real quick that I need to write it down. And I keep track of it on a spreadsheet on my phone and on my computer through Google Sheets, so that I don't have to stop and go to one device or the other. Now, after we've done that time study, we're going to put it into ChatGPT or Claude or Gemini and basically ask it to analyze it for us, tell us what categories we're spending time the most time on and which things we can dad, delete, automate or delegate. It's going to give you a list of things, then we're going to look at what is the highest priority. In other words, what. What's the thing that's going to make the biggest impact, but be the lowest lift. And when we say lowest lift, that means what's going to be the thing that takes the least amount of effort. So most impact, least amount of effort. That's what we want to do first. And you'll ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, whatever you're using to list out those things in order of the highest impact, the thing that will make the biggest difference on your time and how much money you're making, and the lowest lift. Those are the things we're focusing on. Once you have that information, we're going to go on to the next step. Step three is looking at the things you can automate that are lowest lift, automating those things and then step four really gets us into that workflow. So here's how you're going to set up a workflow that will work for you and for your life and help you actually get things done. If you don't already have a pen and paper and go ahead and grab one. Now, first we're going to go ahead and look at that list again. The things that weren't deleted, that couldn't be delegated, that couldn't be automated. Those are the things that we want to focus on, the things that have highest priority, that don't fall into one of the dad categories. And again, DAD is delete, automate, delegate. From there, I want you to pick just one thing. Don't try to do everything right away, just pick one Thing. And I'll give you an example. So one for me is getting more traffic organically. And so I had three things that I wanted to do in that category, and that was more posts on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn consistently. I see when I've been consistent with that, we make more money. And so that was why that was one of the highest priority ones for me to focus on first. But the problem is I would never actually do the content. It felt way scarier for me than not doing it, and the risk felt greater than not doing it. And so I just would continually not do it. And so if there's something right now that you're like, yeah, I know this would make make a difference in my business, but I'm not doing it, and I don't know why this is really going to help with that. So we're going to pick which thing we want to focus on, and then we're going to follow the trigger habit reward system. Now, I learned this from the book Habits. Highly recommend it. But the idea is that with every habit, there's something that triggers it. So something that makes you do it kind of on autopilot without having to think about it. When we have to think about the habits that we're trying to implement, it makes it so much harder because now there's willpower involved. And when your brain starts to think about it and it says, ooh, this might not be safe, of course we're not going to do that. For example. Example, I know every day when I sit down at my desk now, I open up my Instagram app, I record something, I go to my Facebook, I write something up, and I go to LinkedIn and I share something. But I do it every day at that time, even if I'm just scheduling it, because that's the trigger, it becomes a habit. I don't know if you watch the Office, there's this episode where Jim hands Dwight a mint every time. There's the restart sound on his computer. And after a while, Dwight starts to put his hand out, expecting the mint, and then wondering why he's expecting men and why his mouth tastes weird. And it's kind of that same idea. If we can have a trigger every single time, then it makes it easier for you to do it on autopilot. The next piece of this is habit. So this is the thing that you want to add on. And ideally, we want to have it stacked. So we want to just tack this onto a habit you already have and then finally reward. Now, here's another place I was getting stuck. I was having this reward that was a future reward. If I do this today, a year from now, I'll be able to whatever it is that I want to do. Or if I do this today, a month from now, I'll be able to X, Y and Z. The problem I found was that was not immediate enough for me. And I find this a lot with folks who are neurodivergent or who have ADHD where there needs to be a more immediate reward. So what I decided to do and this is not sustainable, so I'm not necessarily suggesting this one, but for me, what is working right now is once I do those three posts so on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn and if I do it before 10am then, or at least schedule it before 10am, then I give myself a piece of my favorite chocolate. It's one of those little Ghirardelli squares. It's like a peppermint and chocolate little thing and it's so delicious. My favorite thing. I can only get it at certain times of the year, so I use that as my reward. That is the immediate reward I get. And then I also have a weekly reward of a massage and then I also have a weekly reward of a chair massage. These are the rewards that work for me. I found that by doing the immediate reward and the weekly reward, I was a lot more likely to actually do this. So now we have the system trigger, habit, reward. So I want you to think, what is something that I'm already doing that could act as my trigger that I could just tack this onto? So for me, it was sitting down at my desk. For you it might be something else. It might be after you go on a walk, then what's going to be your habit and then what kind of reward do you need? Maybe that's an immediate reward. Taking a bath or calling someone or texting someone you love, playing piano, sitting down to read a book, going for a walk, painting something. The list goes on and on. And if you're not sure what your reward should be, go into ChatGPT or Cloud or Gemini and ask it based on what it knows about you, what could your reward be? Now, as you've seen, we've integrated AI into this. We haven't used AI every step of the way because it just wasn't necessary. We did integrate AI into certain parts here. Now I'm going to give you one more piece of this and that is adding an automation on top of it. So we have an automation that every time we. Because I know that Creating content isn't necessarily hard for me, but I don't always do it because it feels uncomfortable. So I set up an automation where I could record a voice note and then from that voice note it would create all of my other content. It would create my YouTube script, my Instagram caption, my Facebook post, my LinkedIn article, my blog posts. It would create everything else from this one single piece of content. That means all I needed to do that day was record a four to six minute audio and then everything else that I needed would be created. I just had to copy and paste. Now if that sounds good to you, you can learn how we do that in AI to 100k. We actually even provide the automation for you for free inside AI 200k plus video to show you how to use it. Or if you'd prefer us to do it for you. We also offer this as a service too. This is our social clone service. Either way, whether you want a workflow that has more automations where you only need to do one thing and everything else happens because of it, freeing up some of your time, or you want to simply start with a trigger habit reward system where there's one thing that you're doing, a workflow that works for you doesn't have to be rigid, it doesn't have to be, oh, we're going to do this every single day and it's going to have to take an hour. It can really only take a few minutes to have a big impact on your business. In fact, I'd say a good workflow can help you grow your business even in just 10 minutes a day. That's it for today. You'll get the link to AI200k and also social clone in the description below. My name is Brittany Long.
