Brittany Long shows how Google's NotebookLM turns course materials and transcripts into summaries, bullet points, and podcast-style audio. She uploaded a 38-minute video transcript and got actionable steps in 15 minutes. The tool could shrink the market for expensive one-on-one coaching unless creators focus on community instead.

By now we know that everybody learns in different ways. And the AI tool I'm going to tell you about today is going to completely change, I think the face of education and the way that we as entrepreneurs consume information, learn and move forward with it. That tool is called NotebookLM. It's through Google. So you can go to notebooklm.google.com and basically what you can do, there's a lot of different things you can do, but one of the really cool things is that you can upload content that you have and then you can summarize it, you can ask for bullet points, you can ask for whatever it is that you want. And in addition to that, you can even ask it to create a recording, like a podcast episode of two people discussing the information. And so instead of sitting there reading through all the information and hoping that you will understand it, or hoping that it's going to keep your attention, which is usually you can actually listen to two people talking about it, or two people. I say that to virtual humans, to AI human or AI avatars talking about it. And I know what you're thinking, okay, heard AI avatars talking before and they sound like this. And it doesn't sound normal or natural. Us does. I didn't know that this was not humans. I would assume that it was. So for those of you who, like me, find it easier to listen to information and consume it and understand it than it is for you to read the information, this might be exactly what you're looking for. Where I think this is going to get really interesting is with our courses, our memberships, our programs, things like that. I think we're going to see more and more people using tools like this to learn and take action. The positive side of this is that more people will be consuming your information and having the change that you say that they'll be able to have on the sales page. And that is amazing. The potential downside to it is that might not want to invest in the coaching side of it. They might not want to invest in that piece of it, like the higher level of anything, because they can get that one on one support through the AI tool that they're using. So for business coaches, I think this is something that you're going to maybe. I think this is something that could cause a bit of a dip in your higher ticket items, your member, all your memberships, your masterminds, things like that. I think ultimately if somebody wants to be in a mastermind, though, the main selling point shouldn't just be they get more access to you it should be they also get access to community, they also get access to other things. And so if we take that approach, then them already getting more in depth access to you by being able to ask questions of all of the documents and stuff like that and get a assumed answer based on what your documentation says in your course membership, whatever. Because of that, as long as you're. If you approach a higher ticket Mastermind, for example, with the idea that this could actually reduce your load because they can ask you one on one like give messenger and they could also ask your AI version of you or they could ask the documents. So I think there's a few things we need to take into consideration here. One kind of Mastermind membership, anything like that, especially higher level stuff. Mastermind, this kind of thing should definitely include a way to access your information and ask it questions without necessarily having to go one on one to you. This can help them get the answers they want faster without having example. I was working with someone and I said, hey, I need help with this particular thing. And they're like, oh, go to this resource that I have. Watch that video. So I went to do that and it was like a 38, 40 minute video, something like that. And the thought of sitting there and watching this whole video and then taking notes and then rewatching some parts and then trying to implement, I was like, I just don't have time for this. Like, I really just want to be able to be like, hey, here's the answer, here's what you need to do and then run with it. I didn't really want to go through this like piece of it because I wanted, I just didn't have the time. And so what I ended up doing was taking the transcript from the video, uploading it into an AI tool, okay. And then asking questions and getting action steps and bullet points and stuff on what it was about, what I like, the most important pieces, what I need to know my action steps were. And then I could ask how do I do these action steps? And it saved me. The video was 38 minutes in total. I imagine if I had watched the video it probably would have taken me about, I don't know, probably 50 minutes between watching, rewatching a few parts, stopping to take notes, all of that. And then once that was done, I would obviously have to, would likely have to go back and rewatch some of it because, you know, or I have something else going on with my kiddo or something like that. And so in total it would have taken certainly longer than the 35, 38 minutes, 45 minutes, whatever it was, imagine that it probably would have taken me about an hour to get through everything, go back, you know, bad. So in with using the transcript instead, it took me less than 15 minutes. And so that might not seem like 35 minute or 45 minute difference. So it may not seem like a lot or like a big deal, but it really is when you look at how that adds up. And so let's say that that five times throughout my day. So in a normal day, let's say is five times five hours. Let's say that I'm just working five hours that day, five hours learning something. And then that's not even really including implementing it, that's just learning it. So if I could cut each of those hours down to 15 minutes, that means I could do normally what I would do in five hours, I can do in one hour, and then I have time to implement. And so if you're wanting to go faster in your business, you're not wanting to take as much time moving through all the pieces using a tool like NotebookLM. Great idea. There's other tools out there, like copy AI. I tried that one. At least at the time of this recording. I don't think that it's not quite there yet. Basically lets you pull in video audio documents, lets you quote, unquote, read those, reads the transcript in the video, for example. And it can be anybody's video that's on YouTube. And you can. It basically reviews the content. Now, the things that they talk about, at least from what I remember from the sales page, was using that for marketing. So, like copy things like that, which is what I really wanted to try and use it for. However, I didn't get the results I was looking for, it took a lot longer and it would have been faster for me to use Chat GPT. So I did that instead. In the future, I think it could be something that'd be really useful. I think there's just some updates that need to be made. I think it's on the right track. So those are two that you can take a look at. Have a tutorial video on my YouTube channel about how to get started with NotebookLM. So I'll drop the link to that as well. All right, thanks for listening. This is Brittany Long. I'm the creator of AI to 100k, and I'll see you soon.
