How ChatGPT Simplified Our Home Prep

So we're looking to move here in the next year, and the thought of getting our house ready and everything ready to move is a little bit overwhelming. However, we have Chat GPT, so it's going to make it a lot easier. In today's episode, I'm going to share how Chat GPT can help you when you're preparing for a move so you're not overwhelmed. And also, you can get the most for your house. All right? So in order to get the most for your house, it needs to look nice, it needs to be tidy. All the paintings that are. Or paintings, drawings, crayons, markers that are on the wall need to be taken away. Maybe you don't have that problem, but we definitely did. And one of the other issues that we're having is we're kind of looking at the house. Is it. The paint is getting a little bit old. We know that we need to update it on the outside, but what color should we even do? I have no idea. So what I'm going to do is take a picture of the house. I'm going to upload it to ChatGPT, and I'm going to ask it to repaint, basically, the house. Ask it to give me some ideas on colors that would work that are also selling in this year and looking into next year. So I'm going to ask it to think like a Realtor and like a paint specialist, which I don't even know if that's a thing, but let's just say it is. And I'm going to ask ChatGPT to make suggestions on the color that's going to be best for my house. I'm also going to ask it things like door color, porch color, what kind of landscaping should be done up front. And I'm going to even tell it, you know, in Florida so that it knows the kind of zone that we're in for the plants up front for the landscaping, so that it's not giving me suggestions that would be great for Montana, but terrible for Florida. Once I figured out the paint color that I want, the next thing I'm going to do is ask it to think like a Realtor and then also like a potential buyer. And I want it to give me all the things that need to be updated in my house, a checklist of all the things that I can update. Now, the really cool thing that's great about this, that's different than just a regular checklist you might get as a lead magnet or something like this, is that this is completely custom, so I can Tell a chatgpt this is how many square feet we have. We have two stories, we have this, we have that. Really give it a clear picture of everything it needs to know about our house. Our are we need to clean up outside things like that and then have it create a checklist from there. So instead of a general checklist that may or may not cover what I needed to cover, I now have a custom checklist that covers exactly what I need. This not only reduces my mental load or our mental load, it's also going to help us think of things that we wouldn't have thought of otherwise by using the checklist and getting everything up to date without having to go through the whole house. Make a checklist myself, hope that I'm not missing anything, Do a bunch of research. By doing it this way, I also have more time for my business too. The last thing I'm going to do is give it a timeline of like when we want to sell and ask it to create a project management plan with dates and deadlines so I know exactly what to do every day from now until we'd like to sell so that I'm not having to do things last minute or feeling overwhelmed or saying I'll get to it next week and the next week never comes. Um, so I'm also going to do one more thing. I'm going to ask it to make it fun for me. So I'm going to ask it to turn it into a game. I know if I turn something into a game, it's much more likely that I'll actually finish it and do it. And so I want to support myself and set myself up for success. And so I'm going to ask it to create it to try it for me. AI makes everything more doable, including selling your house while still working your business. I hope you've enjoyed this podcast episode.
