Sat. Sam. Hey. Good morning.
Good morning.
How's it going?
Going good. How are you today?
Good.
How many people do yoga? And they just completely miss them?
Everybody. Almost everybody. Well, you know, it's not that they miss the point, you see, it's. It's just that everybody is at their own, you know, process, right? And unless they are able to calm their mind, they cannot say anything.
Oh, yeah. I didn't think about that, because there's no point. Right. Anyway, that's.
That's right. It's not that anything is, like, happening either way. You know, it's like a dream. You just wake up. Nothing happened. I mean, it's literally nothing's happening. Right? That's. That's the fact.
I've been thinking about that today because I had. Abby was talking to me yesterday. Anyway, I just. I guess I have a little. That's all. The whole thing, you just keep getting deeper understanding. So now really seeing that. It's just the scene for today. I don't. I don't know how long that's gonna last.
See, that is the. See, when you ask. When you. When you. When you. When you ask yourself that question today, I'm seeing. I don't know how long that will last. What does it exactly mean?
You see, because it's fresh right now, and it means.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. See. No, no, no. See, what is fresh right now is your concept of it. What is already there is there. Right? It's not something new that you discovered. You just realized something that you created some new concepts about. And you're saying, oh, I have this new concept now. And how long will this new concept last? Not long, because no concept lasts. But that is not the seeing, right? The seeing is the seeing of the concepts. The concept is not the seeing. See, seeing is not conceptual. You see, it is the mind that is conceptual. But the seeing is before the mind. How do you know there is a mind? How do you know there is a concept? How do you know that you will retain or not retain this idea?
That's the. That's the lived part, right? You know, you can't think like just trying to answer that is getting in the way.
That's it.
I have to be quiet?
Yes.
Yes.
To realize to that answer. It is itself in the way that is called the silence. But once you transcend that thing, you will realize that the activity, whether it goes on or not, because it is not there, has nothing to do with. It.
Just takes. I'm guessing it takes repeated exposure. It's like I feel like it's like learning how to ride a bike. That's kind of how I feel about.
Is of learning how to. Or I should say unlearning, how to not.
Yeah. Yes. You know how to not. Yes. How to not ride it.
Now you have to learn how to not do that and just already go back to your natural way of riding the bike, which is what we all do.
Great. Yeah, that's way better. Yeah. Learning how to not how to stop writing, like, get off the bike. I can't.
So this yoga is that same thing, the repetition of what we are discussing. And that's why we call it yoga of the physical mind.
Is it actual yoga or is it, is it like mental exercises?
It's a little bit of both. There is, you know, 11 postures, two minutes each, you know, asanas that you use during this 44 minute session. And the other times you are basically meditating and possibly doing guided meditation with the speaker who explains very briefly the same concept over and over and over again. Sounds cool. And it's quick. It's 44 minutes because that way anyone can do it whenever they want. We can run classes, you know, and you train. We train instructors on this. I have a. Writing up a small book, kind of a pamphlet, you know, like maybe 10, 15, 20 pages, which will be the instructor manual and the actual. All the options for the asanas. Maybe there'll be 22 asanas that would be picked of which the Instructor can choose 11 for any, any session, you know.
Okay, so you're, you're making it so it's spreadable. Like you can train the trainers.
You, it's just. Yeah, you train the trainers. That's it. So we're only going to train the trainer. We don't train the final people. You can, you certainly can, but I'm going to train only the trainers. And you know, you can take classes, you can train trainers, you can do both.
I would want to get trained in that.
Yeah. And it'll be $44 a class. Okay. Okay. Dollar a minute. Right. And it's. If you take a subscription, it can drop down in price. You know, monthly subscriptions with unlimited classes online, real time that can, that price can drop to, you know, some monthly price. Like I don't know how many classes people will typically take. So let's say people take two classes. That's. But you know, you could probably get away with real. The private lessons, meditation lessons month, you know, like, it depends if you do like public, where it's public lessons you could do, like, you know, for a monthly subscription, it's 44, but private lessons can be 99. Right. Can be 40, 69. With two people, direct, you know, discussions with the instructor and all that.
Right.
So that's how we will do it. And we just train people, you know, and get this out there. This will help a lot of people. The idea is very simple. It's a very, very simple idea. Now that you understand mindfulness.
Sorry, I'm sorry.
Go ahead. Now that people understand mindfulness, the idea is. Okay, good. Now that, you know, you have a mind, how do you get rid of it and go back into the flow state, which we all want. We all have experienced the flow state where there is no mind, the zone.
You know, I want to learn how to do that. I feel like I want to learn how to. How to.
I just wanna.
I wanna help people. So, like, I feel like I'm. I understand suffering and all that kind of stuff. And then I hear my friends doing it, and I just want to be able to, like, help them, like the way you help me. Like, hey, chill out. Everything's okay. I want to be able to do that.
Yeah, that is the. That is what it is. That is called the. See, very few people actually get it, you see, for that, you need a very, very keen intellect. You know, intellect is in the way, see, because concepts are intellectual and intellect drives your concepts. So however sharp. When I say sharp, it's not sharp or this or that because there's no individual, but the clarity of seeing. As it evolves, the consciousness evolves through its many, many, many lives, so to speak, or dreams or imagination. It evolves. It knows more about itself and about concepts, and it becomes sharper, so to speak. Right? It becomes more wise and settles down from running around. It is able to see. Right. Only for the most. Why? They say the path of knowledge is very, very difficult, even though you. In the end, there are no paths because they all culminate in this point of nothingness. Right? It's because the intellect has to see that it is not the supreme.
But if you haven't seen that, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.
Understanding. No, no, no. See, intellectual, intellectual. When you use intellect, it's always intellectual. So this is not a seeing question. This is an understanding analysis. And, you know, intellectually, understanding it intellectually, first you have to understand because, see, all understanding is intellectual. Right?
Right.
The real understanding is not intellectual. So therefore, let us use the word intellectual as a. As the intellectual understanding that we all talk about so, intellectually, first you have to understand that intellectually you cannot understand.
See.
Once this point becomes clear, only then can the seeking end. No? Otherwise you will want to understand, right? But you cannot. But that's the point. Unless you become very clear that you cannot. Why? Because we are discussing an abstraction level that is beyond the mind, right? It's like if I am my eye and I am seeing with my own eye, then I cannot see my eye itself. I can only see other things because I'm seeing with my eye, right? So I need a mirror to see my own eye because it has to reflect back to my eye, right? My seeing instrument. Otherwise the seeing instrument cannot be seen. And what is seeing is not the seeing instrument. It is always a reflection only. However, it is a reflection of the seeing instrument. Therefore, what is seen is the seeing, the image of the seeing instrument which does not need understanding, right? It is seeing that is the seeing. So seeing precedes intellect. Because otherwise how do you know you have an intellect? You see?
Right.
So very simple. Using the intellect. That is what is called as use the mind to kill the mind. First understand that the mind cannot understand. That's it. Nothing else needs to be done. Because after that, once you realize that your mind cannot do it, then you realize that what you've been calling mind is not your mind. It is simply a reaction. Simply. It happens all the time. And you are seeing that. So only the seeing remains. Because the doing and understanding and all that crap which is really illusory, not done by me. Do you realize it's a wasted effort, right? Why would I keep on doing something which doesn't have any meaning?
That's the. How do you. I feel like that's where you get stuck. Well, for me, that's where I get stuck. I feel like once you've tasted the truth, it's like my head's on backwards. Like, I know this isn't right. Not. Well, quote unquote, right? Like you're. This is. This isn't it. This isn't.
It's 100% correct.
Yeah.
Now. But then what after that word?
I don't know. That's. That's where I'm at. Nothing. You don't. I don't know. Because you just keep trying.
No, no, this is not. It. This is not. It is correct. Okay?
Right.
However, this is not it. It's an intellectual statement, no?
Yes.
Therefore, it's a pointer, at best, to yourself. It is not the actual situation, you see? It is not. It is a pointer and a partial statement. Because it just says what it's not. It doesn't tell you what it is. Right? So to find out what it is, that will be the ending. Because until then the mind wants to know, right?
So that's is. That's the unfolding part, right? Like that's where you just have to kind of.
That's the unfolding. Now the further unfolding is, the real unfolding is that you're not unfolding it. Right. You cannot do anything. You miss the individual which is conceptualized by the intellectual because that is the doer. You see, the intellect believes the oneself to be the see. It is assigning cause and effect. That is what the mind is. So the minute you say cause, then there is a entity there, some agency that did something. Because otherwise there is no cause. If there is no entity, individual, agency and everything is interdependent on each other. If everything is responsible for everything, which it is because it's all connected and it's one. In other words, if China virus didn't like, if China did not have a culture of eating this sort of thing 5,000, 10,000 years ago when it began, today's virus would not be there. Right? So the whole situation is one. Therefore, when you realize the agency factor does not exist, there is nothing called agency, no individual is responsible for their own actions. Then that, that unfolding process which you are hoping will happen for you and you know you will see it and all that will be there, that unfolding process is no longer. There's no anxiety about it because you're not the one who can possibly do it. You've never been the one doing it. And what has actually been the case becomes clear. Which is what? What is the actual case?
It's just occurring. It's just happening.
Just happening. Right. And how do you know that it's happening?
Because it's your experience. It. It's being seen, I guess.
Yes. So it's being seen.
You're like a light. You're. This is the everything that's appearing. Yeah. You're the illumination.
You're the illumination you see without your knowing it. Can it exist if you don't know it? Let us say that it's in a part of the universe where you cannot know it. Then what is the meaning of its existence? To whom? No, no, no. See. Exactly. Exactly. So from whose perspective is existence even questioned? When you say there is existence, who is the one that declares that to be the case? You see, without somebody knowing that there is existence, suppose there was nobody there. No sentient being was in the. There in the universe, Right. Then would the universe exist?
Right? I guess this is a very important say. No, I don't know who's to say?
You see, the who's to say question arises only when there is consciousness, right?
Oh yeah, because it was okay, so even if, okay, subjective. If it was. If there was no.
If there was no intelligence in the universe, if there was no observation, there was no seer, if there was no. What is called as knowing or being or seeing or whatever, no consciousness. If you did not know about it, if you were not aware of it, if there was no awareness. Awareness is a. Is a transcendental factor, you know. It is not in the object you see. Am I. What is the mango? Everybody eats the mango, says five different things, it's tasty, it's not tasty, they hate it. It's this way, it's that way. Thousand things, but the mango is the mango. And it has no interest in what you have to say about it, you know. So if there was nobody to say what is a mango at all, There was no cognizer. If the cognition factor or knowing factor of the mango's existence is not there, does the universe exist? If it, if nobody sees the universe, if nobody is aware of the universe's existence, does it exist?
I mean, I guess technically.
No, no, no, no, no, no. This is the thing. This is a very simple fact. If you are in a dream, let's say right now, and there are other dimensions, there are not. The very fact of calling it a different dimension implies that you cannot access, is not accessible here. What you had in your dream, very rich man and all you had a lot of money or you were very poor. Both those situations don't exist now. You cannot use that money, you cannot give that person money from here, you know?
Yes.
The entire universe and all of the dimensions that you may discuss. Oh, there's a multi dimensions and all that stuff happens within the universe only or within the consciousness.
Right.
So the to cognize it is the. Is the thing. Without cognition, there cannot exist any dimensions at all. Dimensions is a measure of seeing. How do you see? I see the height of it, I see the length of it. I see it in duration, which means it's still there now it's changing. So I'm able to perceive it in duration, which is time. Time is a dimension, right?
Right.
Duration and volume is needed for me to cognize it anything. Right. Otherwise there is no physical manifestation of some, any object. The physical manifestation is the volume. That's why I say matter occupies volume and has a definite dimensions. Right. That's why that's the definition of matter.
Is that it takes up space.
Yeah, it takes up space. Matter has. It has a volume, you know.
Right.
It could be very small, it could be very infinite, nano sized, could be an atom, but it still takes up physical space. And for you to cognize it, you also need to cognize it in time, which is duration. It's not just a flash and it's gone. And you will figure it out. It has to appear in time, which means it has to continue to be present for you to see it as so called time progresses, or the duration of your seeing on that particular topic, or whatever object it is. It gives you the so called time to dive into it or whatever, to understand it or to know it.
So does that mean that consciousness needs time? Because without it, it just. That's a part of it.
That dimension, consciousness itself is time. It's not that it needs time, it is time. Time is an aspect of consciousness. Time is not a dimension. There is nothing called dimensions. Everything is now. Everything is. There is nothing called now even. Right? There's no time at all, actually. See, it is a dimension of same seeing. I said not that there is something actually physically there. And we're going to go see it. The very seeing inside that requires or creates time. If you don't see, where is the time? If that. If you like I said earlier, if the dream goes on without your knowledge, then whose dream is it? And will you even know there was a dream? And were there people there? And were there people there? And did those people experience something? Or did you who experienced that universe? As you said, seeing is experiencing. Because without experience you don't know that you saw. So the real seeing is only experiencing without seeing. Because seeing is concept, it requires consciousness and consciousness is the content. It will say this tree and that tree and many things are there in the universe. But consciousness is that there is only pure consciousness, which is all. Everything is consciousness, which is the substrate of the world. But if you say there's a tree, then that creates the division between the tree and the rest. It's like a painting, right? It's one single painting. The house is there, drawn there. You cannot say this house is. You know, when you can, you can use the words, you can say this house is like this and this house is like that. But actually there is nothing called a house. The only one painting a bunch of colors together. The whole story is created at once.
Yes. Oh, right. Because everything Relies on everything. In order for there to be a house, there has to be all these other pieces. There has to be language, because we have to call it a house. You need human beings. Like, where. Where did you draw the line at being a house?
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Why is this. Why is this stuff not everywhere? I feel like it has to do with, like. I feel like it would improve our science. It would improve so much stuff.
It is there. It is there everywhere. These books have been written for 5,000 years. You're not interested in it.
I'm interested in it.
That's the thing I have to see. Why is this not written everywhere? Question is arising from the point of view of the individual. Whereas the whole universe is nothing but a dream. It is a fact. So for you to say, I went to Niagara Falls and I saw how beautiful it is, why doesn't everybody see it every day? Because it's not required. They're not interested. They're doing other things.
That's just like, some people are good at drawing. So some people are good at painting. Some people are good at this or are interested in this, even.
This is not your doing.
Right.
So you are not the one who is the one said, oh, I am interested in this and that. It is an unfolding. You happen to be here. There's nothing special because this dream will vanish. You will not retain this greatness.
That kind of makes me sad.
It makes you sad because you think you're a person?
Yeah, well, sometimes it feels like. Okay, so I was thinking about it the other day, and I was kind of like, well, I feel like I got to do really right by this Brandon guy because he's only here for a little bit. Like, I gotta help him out. He's gonna be gone, whatever the heck I am. I'll just be something else.
Yeah. But to help Brandon, to realize that Brandon is the house in the painting. Brandon and you and me and the people around and everything, there is no difference. So to realize what is Brandon? Simply a word that points to a part of the whole painting without which the whole painting is together. There is no part. Right. You cannot. There is no. Like, there is nothing apart from the painting. If I take all the painting out, everything goes away. There is no part of it remaining as its own. There is no half painting that I can, you know, keep as a mine or whatever. Right. So when you say Brandon and all, there's only one thing here, and not even one, because the minute you say 1, it creates the very 2, 3, 5, 0 and all that. That's why it says not even 1, not 2, not 2. That is called non dual and otherwise means that.
How else would you say is what.
The words actually mean?
Right? Non, dual, two. There's just one. But one. Yeah, because one implies there's.
Yes, that's why it's non to, not to. So that is a. It's a process of seeing.
So is this. What is this?
What is.
What is it that wakes up then? So what?
How.
What is. What is different about nothing? Nothing wakes up.
Ignorance. The knowing factor is not there because they see it's all about knowledge. Right? So the question is what knowledge is working or at play? If I tell you something, you will act according to it. If you believe it. No, right. If I tell you that there is a. Whatever that guy did in Pizza Gate, you know, last year somebody went and shot up that pizza because they thought there's a Hillary Clinton driven child pornography wing or some like that going on.
Oh my goodness.
See, they believe it, you know, so is it there? Who is that? Who's to blame for that happening? Can you say it was all his fault? I mean, obviously he is susceptible to such things. He's believed what he's read online and stuff. Can you say he's stupid or, you know, he should not? I mean, you can say anything you want, but the fact that it's happening is a natural occurrence.
It makes. Yeah, it happened. He was the hero of his story.
Yes. So the storytelling creates reality. So the whole thing is based on knowledge. When this knowledge which we are discussing, it is the only knowledge. It's also knowledge. False knowledge. Another idea. All concepts. But this concept is negating other concepts. It is saying all concepts are concepts. It is a concept, but it is saying everything is a concept, including this one. Therefore, once you realize this, then the question of what wakes up becomes clear. False knowledge disappears. What is remain is. You call waking up.
Wakes up, you see better. I don't know. I don't know what you call it because.
No, no, because there is only seeing. So the question of who sees is not relevant. There is only seeing remains after that, you know, it's not that I see. There is seeing like a dream, right? Can I say that I dreamt? Because the question of I dreamt is meaningless. The character was not me. I became the character only for that portion. Even now that is the case. When I die or whatever, I wake up from this dream. It will only be for this period. Just like a dream. No different at all. It's showing you. The nature is showing Every day, hey, simply for a period of time, you will become this. But it's just. It's going to move on. And, you know, we all die. Death is a fundamental thing. We just keep not wanting to think about it.
Eventually get out of here.
But on the other hand, if you do think about it, you realize at the end of the day that nobody has gone to sleep. Therefore, nobody can wake up. That's why it's called an eternal process. Nobody was born at all. Therefore there is no death.
Right? Yes.
This has to become so clear and. And so natural that what the outcome of that is. You become yourself because you're. You're not fearful at all. Because everything is clearly known to be you. And what it is is very clear.
But you can't chase it. You have to just, I guess, let it come to you. I don't really understand that part.
This question of it. No, no, hold on. This question of it is creating a secondary thing. Yeah, secondary thing. Something like an external entity which will come and do something. Right, Right. It's not there. Like God or ghost or, you know, anything. You imagine Santa Claus is not there, you make it up. Right?
Yes.
So just to see clearly what it is happening, that has to.
And you can't. There's nothing to do. You can't do it. It'll just. It'll happen on its own. It will happen eventually. One time. I hope so.
It will happen. It will happen. The very fact that you are having this conversation today is a sign that it will happen. There is no question about it happening. It may not happen in this lifetime. This has to become clear. It's very sad, it's very tragic to realize this, but once you realize that, then there comes an immense peace and freedom.
Oh, because it might not. Right. I mean, who knows?
Maybe there's nothing going on. No, this is just.
There's nothing going on.
Right. So when we constantly wait for some illusory happening, what point is that? It's not real.
Maybe this is just. I guess this is my ego talking. But I feel very confident because of my experience and what I understand. Like, this is deep knowing. I. I feel like it's gonna click. And when I. When it clicks, it'll be clear because it just makes sense to me. I imagine I could. Yeah, I imagine. I imagine at some point it's just gonna click and I'll be up.
Okay.
They remember that. You know, what you have to be very clear about is that you will not be aware of it at that point.
Yes.
So you will not Know won't matter. It's no different than death because you have to see what is death.
Yeah. There won't be a me to know. It'll just.
You will not have this satisfaction at all. That's the sadness. However, you will not have this, therefore the need will not be there.
Right. It's actually not sad at all.
It's great. It's actually the very thing you're looking for. You call it sad. It's like. See, we all celebrate life, not death. We all celebrate the material, not the spiritual. We all celebrate what is manifest, but not the unmanifest. This opposite is the illusion.
But until I discovered this, I feel like life didn't have a meaning to me. I. I didn't understand what everyone was into. I. I've just never been a very materialistic person. And I just. I just notice. I. I guess almost feel I was not getting it.
That's because you have had many, many, many, many lifetimes of serving other people, which is why you are here today.
What is that? So what is it like? I'm just. Okay. So if everything's ever. I just. I guess.
I guess it doesn't matter.
So I'm just talking at this point. But I. I imagine it's kind of like there's one big song going on and I'm just a repeating pattern in that song.
Right.
So is that what that is? Because my. My pattern is going to repeat.
Yes. My pattern means in this case, your. Brandon's pattern, which is illusory. It will only repeat in this dream. But it's just a dream, Right? So you are not the pattern. The pattern is emanating from you in this particular state, the waking state. The whole thing, though not. Not Brandon's pattern. The entire universe is. Brandon, you call it Brandon, you know, See the house in the painting, Is it different from the painting?
Oh, yeah. No, it's just. Right.
The house in the painting is the painting. No.
Yeah.
Other than the painting, there is nothing there. We are standing in the house.
You don't exist, and I'm the main character. No one else exists. It's just.
But that is evidence. You have to see that for yourself. Because when you go to sleep, can you talk to me or anyone else?
No.
No. So this whole thing happens only when you are in this state of consciousness. Right?
Right.
So why is that? If these people were real, how can they disappear?
It's the whole thing, all at once. The question is just from, like the only. The question is from this. This pinhole perspective.
I've had.
Which is really missing the whole picture.
Correct. That pinhole perspective is the limitation, you see. So what happens in a dream is that all the dream objects that you see there, they're all actually what? Consciousness. Right, right. But they are limited consciousness, as opposed to pure consciousness, unlimited or just awareness, which is not conscious of anything in particular, but is aware of everything. So the limited consciousness is nothing actually but awareness itself. So when awareness becomes conscious, you call it consciousness. But why be conscious? Because being conscious is only of a certain thing can it be of. Right. So when there is no world and there is no objects, you cannot be conscious of anything. Therefore, no world, no dream, no person, no body, no me appears. You call it sleeping.
I mean, how come you don't do sock songs and stuff like that?
Who is that doing satsang and all these things?
You see, I don't know.
Point is very simple. You need something, right? Need something. You are having the conversation now. That's all. This question of others. No, no, no, no. This question of others as a separate entity, giving it reality. All of these things have to stop. Because if I want to do satsang, that means there is somebody there to go and help. No, the solution is not there for me. I don't have. The truth is there's nobody there that needs any help at all. Nobody needs any help. They're not real. They're all. God, they're going through their own dream. It's just a dream. They're all dreaming. Is there any reality to dreaming? There is no need to go and help everybody. There is no need to go and tell everybody. Because it's like you go see the Niagara Falls or the Grand Canyon the first time, you know, first time, and you're like, oh, my God, did you see that? I mean, look at that, right? I mean, it's like. And the people who see that every day who are in the boat, they're like, yeah, yeah, I know, I get it. And also the Niagara Falls in the Niagara Falls itself says, I've been here every, like my entire life. No biggie. You know, so the fact that you're finding it new or whatever, that has to be seen. Who is it that is finding it new? And is there any need to go and tell anybody so called anybody about anything?
No.
So the people who actually go and become gurus and all, they're actually the. You know, I mean, see, Ramana Maharishi was natural, you know, didn't they want.
Him to be one? He didn't.
Like, he wasn't talking there Was no choice for him, man. He was. He didn't have a choice. Wherever he went, people would surround him and become, you know, take the, you know, satsang from him. So they just would not let him be. Right? They would. Wherever he goes, they. So the ashram was meant to happen. There was no, not. So the whole thing is there is nobody there. We call it Ramana, but it's not a person, right? Like Guruji, when I talk to him, I know that I'm talking to consciousness myself. I'm talking to sound and light. He is not aware of what comes out of his mouth. There is no he there.
Sometimes I feel like that. Sometimes, sometimes when people talk like if I'm talking about this kind of stuff, wherever it's coming from, I don't know, it's this really weird sensation. My heart starts beating really fast. I feel like I'm gonna burst. Like something's trying to come out of me really fast. I don't know what I'm saying.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Let it go. Don't try to be conscious of it. See, the consciousness creates the tension, you know. Otherwise how will you know that there is something coming out of you? You will just be relaxed state. That relaxed state is the natural state. All other non relaxed states are vibrations from the base state of non vibration. Right. At rest, against the principle. At rest is the principle at movement or motion. Right? How do you know something moves? Because you also know when it doesn't move.
Yes.
Right. So the not moving is the absolute. The absolute never moves. Everything else moves with respect to the absolute. So the final seeing is the seeing of all other things. Whatever is seen, it's just a seeing of it. And this seeing never moves. No matter what appears. It's just an appearance. But if you become conscious of it and you say, oh this is happening, that's happening. Oh my God. Like what's happening? Right? That's a question of knowledge. And knowledge we know is false. No need for knowledge. Why would I want any foolish knowledge.
Man? God tried to tell them about that apple and they wanted it so bad. Yes, but if you didn't eat the apple, could you appreciate what you were before that don't you need? Isn't that like part of the journey?
What? You know, just now we have discussed, we are trying to remove all knowledge. Everything disappears. When everything disappears, you are experiencing yourself. That's why sleep, you say, oh, so peaceful. And I love to sleep and all. Everybody loves to sleep. That is your natural experience. From sleep comes dreaming. So the actual situation Is something is dreaming, something is also sleeping. How else will the dream appear? So why go with the movement when the sleep is also there? You want to sleep. No, everybody wants to sleep. So the real awake is actually asleep.
When your consciousness starts to slip out, it just start. I feel like when quote unquote me.
I've noticed. Listen to me. You go to sleep tonight.
Yes.
Brandon is going to sleep. And in your consciousness, in your dream, you see, you're doing many things, right?
Yes.
And therefore you perceive yourself to be awake in the dreaming while sleeping.
Yeah.
So all the three things are happening now. You see, the words have to become clear. These words have to be dropped. Because the word sleep and dream, for example, cannot be comprehended right now because it is not in that state. Is there any human being who can tell me right now from direct experience what is dream? No, because they are not dreaming right now. That's not there. You can only recollect it, right?
Yes.
So forget the word dreaming and sleeping and all that. If you realize this is the waking state, it implies the other two states because they are also there. Right. You can experience them every day. So this has to become so clear that the states are all happening together and the perception is the issue. So you perceive a dream to be fleeting and fast. You perceive the waking to be slow and in duration. And in neither of those two things happen. You call it sleep. But in sleep, there is an experience which you know. When you wake up, you recollect the experience. Oh, it was so peaceful. Because when there is no object at all, no consciousness, there is an inherent experience of bliss and peace and no conflict and deep relaxation. But when the mind starts to become active again, you call it either a waking state or a dreaming state. You say, I have woken up and I am doing this and I am doing that. Because you identify yourself with the character in the dream.
When you switch states. I feel like once. Once, as you're switching.
No, but nobody is switching states. Nobody's switching states. The different things are. My mind.
Yeah, but like when you're drifting off. Yeah. It just like it let go. And then all of a sudden, like weird stuff, just a duck appears in your head. You come back and you're like, what was that?
Right. And now if you go into that, Go into that. It's very, very important. Go into that, go into that. And you will realize that unawares it happened, right? Unawares it happened. Suddenly it happened.
Yeah.
Just like a dream. It's spontaneous occurrence of a dream. There is no, like, planning of a Dream to appear, right? You go to sleep. Suddenly any dream may appear like that. Any thought appears. Any thought also appears. You don't control which thought appears next, is it not? Suddenly something happens and some other thought appears. That happening or the thought, neither of them were in your control. But every time you say, oh, I was there and this happened and you know, but nothing is in your control. One is only seeing it, is it not?
Yeah, yeah, right. So even thinking is just waiting.
So now it goes to the very point of thinking. So you see consciousness. If you realize all of this is consciousness, then you realize that this table is consciousness, My leg is consciousness. Then you realize, oh, my mind is also consciousness. Then thoughts appearing are also consciousness. Then everything is consciousness. Then is really everything consciousness? Is there something which is not consciousness?
How would you even know what would know? There is nothing.
One has to differentiate now between the contents of consciousness and the knowing of the contents before it becomes knowledge. So if you believe in the knowledge itself or the knowing that becomes concretized as knowledge as opposed to simply being aware of what it is without creating any concepts. So there is a difference between awareness and consciousness. The word consciousness requires you to be conscious of something. That's why it's conscious. Conscious of something. Hey, you lost consciousness. You didn't. You're not conscious of anything and you regained consciousness. That means you became conscious of this waking state and you became conscious of all the things in it, right? So consciousness requires a state of. It's a state. And it requires you to be conscious of whatever is in. In the state of consciousness. So it requires content. So your consciousness is like a dream or a waking or whatever. Unconscious is like asleep or swoon or whatever. So in conscious states, you have the content. In the non conscious states, are you not.
I'm not there.
No, you are there. But you don't know what that knowledge means. There is no knowledge of it. That mind or consciousness is not there. But then when you come back, you're like, oh my God, I was unconscious for a long time because you were there. Otherwise how do you know you were unconscious?
Right?
Like you sleeping, right? You come back from sleep and recollect the sleep even though you were not there in sleep.
Oh yeah.
Because if.
If I wasn't, it would just. It would. I would notice. I wouldn't even. I wouldn't even realize I've been unconscious. So I guess it would just seem like everything instantly changed.
Exactly. So now you're. Now you're realizing that nature points you to it, the truth automatically.
That Would be really weird if you went to sleep and you just. You weren't even aware of the sleep. You just lay down.
You would not. It would not be weird. No, no. See, you're in the flow state. When you're in the flow state, you're not aware of anything. That's why you call it the flow state. I was in the zone. Knowing requires knowledge. Otherwise there is only.
I want to try this yoga thing that you're doing. So let me know when that gets up and running.
Yes. Well, I can train you to be an instructor. That'll do it. And then you can tell others.
Okay, well, when do we do that?
I'm going to share with you right now a document which was being prepared for the manual. The training manual.
Okay.
And that will be the beginnings of this exercise.
Hey, there's somebody else in here.
Oh, is there? My cousin. Hello.
Hello.
Hello. Hello. How long were you here for?
Since you sent me the invite. I think it was.
Oh, really? From the very beginning.
No, no, no, no. I think it was already 10 or 15 minutes in.
I wasn't looking. I had let the screen. My computer locked and I was just.
Yeah, me too. Yeah. So let me share this. What did you think? Danae?
This is good. This is good. Like, I. I need probably, you know, I need more context, actually able to jump into the conversations because I never thought about any of this before.
So.
Yeah, maybe.
Maybe with time it'll be good. Like, it's probably a good way of thinking, sleeping and awaking, you know? Yeah, it's good.
I. Where is that document? This one?
Yeah, I saw some of the stuff that Sarah made it look pretty cool. Did you like it?
Yeah, a few of them she's put up already. So that's the type of stuff that I'd like you to take a crack at for. For I realization. You know, we can do more with. If you go to unreality.org, you'll see a bunch of Instagram posts that I'd done many, many years ago. But we want to do stuff like that for idealization.
Okay, I'm down. Yeah.
Like what Tara is doing, you know, simple, easy, quick. You can do haikus, you can do shorts. Basically, we'll put them up on Irealization.com you can put them up on the community site. We start to engage with others. There's other folks coming on that, you know, non duality is gaining, you know, interest around the world.
What does that mean? That's kind of exciting, right?
It means that, well, if you really want to know what it means? It means that the entire universe is sustained by yogis. If you, if you didn't so called the light and dark, you know, darkness is. If there is something called. This is why the whole, you know, all the religions have this whole good and bad, light and dark and all that stuff. It's natural. It is not good and bad. It is light and dark. It's ignorance and knowledge, you know. But ignorance is the lack of light. Darkness is the lack of light. So when the light shines on darkness, darkness is never there. It's no, never said it's never there. So when the light sees the darkness, that darkness doesn't exist. You understand?
Yes. It's like it was never there because.
It was the absence of me. And when I go there, how can there be an absence of me? So the minute I become aware of something, it is no longer in darkness. The world will change because I change.
It kind of feels like that.
Yes, it is a fact. So the illusion is that. The illusion is that there is a world. You see, you want to lucid dream. You have to realize that there is no world.
I gave up lucid dreaming as I got irritated being unaware in my sleep. I didn't like it.
That's because you didn't realize that the place to practice it is not in your so called dream. The dream is now where you're actually conscious and aware, the so called waking state.
I'm starting to understand that now.
So this is the actual dream. This is the one you have. You can manifest anything you want. This is what the yogis have shown. The point is, getting involved with manifestation is not something that I recommend or anybody will recommend. Because it is only illusion. More dreaming. So let it not be your goal. The goal has to be total and complete, transcending of all of this nonsense. Then this, what I'm saying is not a doership, you see, it's a happening. It will happen through you because you are what is.
I don't really want anything. Every time I try to think of like that's all, that's all.
That's fine, let it happen. Just be then that's all. Just to be. Nothing to want. Because there is nobody to want it to realize. That is the point. Right? And to those that want nothing, they get everything. This is what is meant by even in Bible it says everything shall be added on to him.
Did you study multiple religions or did that just naturally pick it up as you come as you went along?
I never studied anything. These are all Words that are coming out of me, they're not my words. You think that these ideas are mine? You think I awake VC is something I thought of? Do you think I know anything about trading and you know Wall street and you know, all this other shit? Do you think that you know I knew anything? I mean, just think I grew up in Bangalore in India, and I'm about to change the world and it's going to happen. You think it's me doing it?
No, you're just. You're just the instrument, right? It's already the movement.
No, it's not. Nothing is happening.
Nothing's happening.
Nothing is happening. There is nothing being improved. This is a dream and there is nothing to be gained here.
That's a deep understanding. That's before. That's why in the chat, I don't. They get so mad at you, Ahmed. I think it's funny.
They're hanging on to their egos, you know, they're hanging on to there.
I said, you just come in there and flip the table. You're like, okay, but none of that matters. I think it's cool.
So that's what our goal is, to make more people aware.
Did you find your. Your training? Did you find the file?
Yes, I did. I did. I'm just going to share this. I'm going to. We're going to redo this because it's. It's an old document, but trying to like iPad keyboard is not cooperating for me to type right now. I will share this with you very shortly. It says a meant to be a user manual or a training manual for instructors. So there's a bunch of, you know, asanas and stuff like that, which it's forsaken. Okay. You have it. You're an editor on this now. And. I will also share it with a tanay. Not that matters to Tana. He's probably like worth the. But whatever.
Ah, I'm open, I'm open.
Let's see.
Let's see what it. What this is.
This. This. Cool. We might change some of these asanas because I want most of them to be sitting, ideally, if we can, and do less movement. So, you know, that would be ideal. So take a look at it. I've shared with both of you.
Are you emailing it to me?
Yeah, you'll get a Google Doc share. And then I'll also invite you to the I realization Slack, which I had created many years ago when I first started writing the book. And then I got completely distracted with awake and everything else. So I've not written very much, but actually have a publisher waiting for the book. I Realization. Book one.
I'm waiting.
But we can do the second book first, I think, which is the I realization Conversations with Consciousness, which was all the, you know, the. The Q and A sessions that I've been recording from the channel. And we can combine it with some of these audio conversations we've had, you know, and create a website full of material and conversations for us, for us to share with people. Because these conversations are what I crave. Like you asked me, why don't you do satsang? I don't do satsang because I'm not a guru. But I'm doing what I am. And you can copy paste some of this and it might help one or two people. That's all. Nothing else.
What makes people want to be a guru? I guess nothing.
No. There are two types of things, right? One is that you discover it to the degree that you discover it, not realizing that also needs to be transcended. So that will happen in the next life, or the next life, or the next life. Unless it was intended to be a guru, in which case it is what it is. I mean, in all cases, it is what it is only. So there is no person there. But if there is this whole desire for freedom and all, it's better you focus clearly on the fact that you have to wake up, not get involved in the dream. Helping others is not the reality there. The dream is not real. First wake up, then you will help everybody automatically. You cannot save a drowning man. If you don't know how to swim.
Drown yourself.
So first you can wake up, then you can help anybody. But without that it is more illusion only.
So I have a quick question.
Not sure if this is related to.
Topic or not, but what's the deal with like exact 44 minutes? Like it's, you know, it's not something like regular.
What is regular according to you?
Like maybe 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 44 is.
Why is that regular?
Okay, I don't know. Whatever reasons or, you know, things that I've been seeing all day or, you know, maybe my entire biases or prejudices or anything else.
Right. 44 minutes is because it will specifically unlock your mind and make it free due to the Vedic math and numbers behind it.
Okay.
Interesting.
Then eventually you will come to the point of Vedant, you know? What is vedant?
No, like, I just thought it was a name.
Vedant means the end of the Vedas. Vedas plus ant. End of the Vedas is when you realize that even the Vedas are simply concepts. So this number 44 will help you until it doesn't need to help you.
Okay, interesting.
It's called inception. Everything is inception only. You see, because you're using concepts, you're using the mind. So I am the master, not the mind. I decide what is regular and what is the use of 44 and 45 and 15 and what impression I want. That question that came up is the very question I want. Why is it 44? And the answer is, because it's special. And it will help you, which it will, because it's actually going to help you. But people need to know that if they don't know that, they will think it's regular. Regular things they don't think is magic. But actually regular things is what this entire thing is a single thing. You know, when you say regular, you create irregular. It's like your problem. You create.
I get it now. Yes.
That is why it is. See, language and communication. I gotta go, guys. I think in a couple minutes. Language. Just a minute. I want to just check here.
I mean here.
Okay, cool. Yes. I'll just get. Okay, five minutes. Yeah. So what I was just about to say is that to realize all of this very simply, from a scientific point of view and from a Gyan yoga point of view, which is my path, so to speak, the pathless path. There is no path. But to simply realize it is the. Is the so called path, right? That's the end. To actually realize the already existing truth. That is why it's called realization. You don't discover anything new now to make it simple. And it's. It's a mechanical process that means it can happen to anybody, anywhere, anytime. There is no individual, right? So to hasten the process, I go straight to the root, which is that what I say, whatever I said all day today. And I also add, when you perceive something in the waking state, consciousness is there. You are conscious, you have gained consciousness. You are in the state of consciousness. This requires knowledge. You will know this because of knowledge. So the knowledge requires the knower, the known, right? The two things, the knower and the known. And the missing part, which nobody realizes, is the knowing part of it. It requires the knowing relationship between the knower and the known, right? So in consciousness, the known and the knower are there. The knowing is missed and the knower is not realized to be the known. You see, you know yourself as an individual. You say, I am Brandon. So this is the problem. If you realize that the one that you are assuming to be the knower is actually the known.
Sorry, I was laughing.
Yes. So if you realize that the one who was thought to be the knower is really the known, then everything becomes the known. Then what am I? You see, I cannot be the known, right? Nor can I be the knower, because the knower is the known. I cannot be anything known. You see, there's no need to know myself because I am the knower, but only in words. This knower is the real knowing. Process of knowing, but not the knowledge. Knowledge is an artifact. Knowledge is the shadow that you create. Some noise, guys.
Yeah, that was me. Anyway, thank you.
So, yeah, gotta run. But so that's what it is. You realize yourself as the knowing principle, the abstract principle of knowing, not of knowledge. Knowledge emanates from you because of the knowing principle.
Okay, well, I will see you again. Same bat time. Same.
All right, thank you.
