iRealization - Season 01 Episode 09
30 Jan 2026 · 70 min
A guided group dialogue (iRealization S01E09) led by a teacher (SPEAKER A) with participants Sam, Sarah and Sridhar. Main themes: Karma Yoga/action vs. reaction (reaction = knowledge-based, perpetuates the past; action = spontaneous, not knowledge-driven), creativity arising from 'no-shaping' rather than intellect, the world as mind-constructed (dream vs waking analogy), and awakening/realization through witnessing/seeing that dissolves the separate 'I'. The teacher references spiritual lineages (e.g., Ramana, J. Krishnamurti-like figures, a 'Guruji' who realized in his 30s) and emphasizes meditation as non-doing (witnessing). The session closes with a plan to examine 'inner vs outer' next week.

Good morning. Ready to be connected, Sir? Yes. How are you? I'm.
I'm well, thank you.
How's it going, Sam?
Oh, it's going good. I slept early yesterday. I finally caught on some sleep. I woke up today at like 6am I've made breakfast for the whole house, auntie. So having a really fresh morning. And it's a beautiful day too. So good day to just live.
Excellent.
Have you read the Mahabharata or all these old scriptures?
Possibly. What's the real question?
No, no, I have not read. So it says all this. Ashramas.
Right. So.
And the yogas are Karma yogas and stuff. So I'm quite interested in.
See, Karma Yoga just means work. Karam Karo means what? Means do your work. And what does that mean? Do your work. That's what Krishna said to Arjun, right? Don't think about it. Just do your work. Kam Karobhas means just do your work. What does it mean? It means that the outcome is not in your control. The only thing you can do is action. Okay. Most people actually don't act. Most people react. There is a difference between action and reaction, you know. Reaction is involuntary.
Reaction is the effect of something.
It's the normal course of events. It's always reaction. Based on the past. Based on what just happened now. You feel you must react. Somebody slaps you, you feel you must react. Correct. But isn't it the past? If you act on the past, are you not perpetuating it? Yeah. That's reaction immediately. If you simply walk away, you're free. Freedom is in every single instant when you're not connected to the past, you know. And the connection to the past is only of the mind. Mind says this happened, that happened, it happened to me. Otherwise it just happened. Somebody got slapped, move on. This has nothing to do with me, you know.
So when we speak about action. So I do know that action is born out of genuine creativity. But what is the exact difference between action and reaction?
Reaction is born from knowledge. If you know what happened, you will react. If you don't know what happened, you can only act. Reaction requires knowledge, action does not. Action says the past is irrelevant to me. We can act now. And the future is unknown and all embracing. Whereas reaction is carrying the whole weight with you. As if it's your responsibility to manage the past and the future.
So the. The fault is not in reacting or acting but not the fault.
But.
Genuine creativity will never come from a reaction but from an action.
Right? Genuine creativity can never come from any particular thing. So if you look for creativity. You'll never find it because the whole thing is creativity. You're looking in. You're in the ocean of creativity, looking for creativity, because everything is already created. You're in creation. Everything is a creation here. That's why it's called creation. However, in the ocean, you're searching for water, the source of water. But there is a source, you know, because this ocean has appeared, this creation has appeared. This was not there just five hours ago when you were asleep. Right. So the whole thing has appeared now in that you want to find out something from within it. You want to know this and that and all that. It's not possible. Any action you take here based on, you know, information and knowledge and understanding and all that stuff which people normally operate under, is it not an illusion? Yep.
So if you. You're basically thinking from the. From within the eggshell and expecting this is the world and all your problems evolve inside the contents of the eggshell.
And then you are using the contents of the eggshell to try to exit the egg. It's not possible. The contents will keep you in the egg because the content are the eggs. Nice. So it's the same as what we had said a couple times, couple couple sessions ago, where if you want to wake up from a dream and you realize that you are in a dream, what are you going to do?
If you think about the physics and the logic of the dream, you will. You cannot defy it, you cannot wake up.
What can be done then? You know.
You have to know that that is a projection.
Yes, it's the knowing component. You see, the minute you see the. So wait, what happens now? You go back to the action and reaction question. So what is the difference between action and reaction?
Oh yeah. Reaction is an action based within the questions of the dream.
And in specifically, it is based on the knowledge of the dream. So if you react based on the knowledge of the dream, that is called a reaction because it's using knowledge and it's reacting based on that knowledge. Right. Reaction is always based on something. And as we know, knowledge is always incomplete and false. The therefore all reactions are false and will get you nowhere.
Or get you into a bunch of trouble.
It will perpetuate the same problem because you're dealing in problem, not in solution. So if you speak in terms of problem, you'll only come up with more problems.
Nice, nice.
And the answer to the solution part is very simple. Once you understand where creativity does not come from. Oh, then that's all.
What do you mean where creativity does not come from.
You know, all the places where creativity does not come from now, right? Creativity comes from a place where there is no nothing trying to shape it. Creativity is creativity. It's like this, you know, you plant a bunch of seeds.
Oh, yeah, yeah. A genuine thought, which is a genuine.
Thought or any thought doesn't matter. There's nothing called a fake thought. No, all thoughts are thoughts only.
Yeah, any thought that is, that comes out of this universe of me.
Everything comes out of the universe of me. The question is, how does it. What happens? You know, so you put a. You have a thought. Okay. Or you have seeds and you plant a tree. Bunch of trees. How do they appear when they grow up or they start to grow. Is it in your control? Is it this tree? Nice looking? That tree nicer looking. Which one is nicer? Is it a better tree or which is a better one?
Yeah, it's not in my control.
And now do you have the question of whether the tree is good or bad? Is it not? It's just a tree. All trees are trees. Only to say that history is like this and that tree is like that, and these trees are similar and those are not similar. And let's group these trees into different categories is based on what?
The questions within the dream.
So to classify things which are all illusory is only more illusion. So what happens is we have all these ideas and they all start to grow in different ways, which, by the way, nobody controls, as we now know. And yet when the ideas come, or when people arise, they come around, do things what not all based on ideas only. All other people will jump on it saying what a stupid idea, this idea, that idea. See how dumb it is. See how dumb that is. That person is foolish. This is foolish. How come we don't say that to dogs, cats, trees, but for smart individual human beings, we say it.
Because.
Those.
Ideas do not come from the realm of knowledge.
Which ideas?
The ideas that average people call foolish. The ideas from intellectuals. So these ideas are shut down at first glance because nobody believes in it. Because they do not come from the questions within the dream.
They all do come from the question. So they're all using knowledge to try to understand ideas and so the knowledge will never match.
No, I'm saying the. The ideas that intellectuals or a genius.
Guy came up with. By the way, intellectual is not a genius. Intellectual is the most stupid kind of guy because the intellect is something that is based on knowledge, you know.
Oh, yes, yes.
Somebody who's an intellectual is most likely an idiot because in the sense that, and I don't mean that in a negative connotation. What I mean it is in that they're very attached to their very ideas. You know, they know if somebody knows they are stuck there. If Somebody is a PhD in mangoes and has never eaten one, for example, he's very proud of his Dr. Mango, you know, he may not have eaten it. Even the fellow who is just, you know, in the villages and it just happens to like be in the farms and has eaten a mango every few days in his village, comes to talk to this fellow, that guy will be like, you don't know anything, fool. I'm a PhD in mangoes. What are you talking about? True. See, so knowledge is what causes the illusion. Because it's all about the false. You know, it's trying to explain something that is not there.
And it's giving marks for it.
Yeah. So it's, it's creating more and more illusion. You start to describe the illusion. You see. You see a mirage, you know, going on the desert. Everyone's thirsty, dying. Then the guy who's in the front, yeah, I see the mirage, I see the mirage, right? And then everybody's like, what is it? What do you see? And he's describing it. It's like there's trees and there's this ocean, there's an oasis and there's people. I can see like, you know, people are having a party, they're swimming and all. From a distance, I can see it, right? I mean, it's. That's what it is. People see it, they believe it, they run, they run. They don't stop themselves. They keep running behind the mirage, thinking there is water there every single time, you know.
They made it their own race.
So that's the thing when one is looking for creativity and, you know, efficiency. And once one wants to be like, you know, productive and wants to be free, one wants to kind of do everything one can. One wants to be the full self with no restrictions and no anything. Right. Which holds you back. Right? That's what we want to be. We want to be free. What does it mean? You know, what is it that holds you back? What is it that is in the way?
I guess memories and the sad realization of you owing something for the life that you have been given to something. You know, I guess that's what holds most people back.
It's their own ideas of what is this meaning of life and what has been given and all that stuff. You know, not understanding all those things clearly. The knowledge in their minds creates a life for them, which is basically suffering. Moment to moment suffering.
And even if they. They were shown the way, they would still like to live the life.
First question everybody asks me is, okay, this is all very nice, but what happens? What do I. What happens to my food? What happens to this? What will happen? Who will do this? Right? How will this happen? They all under. They say, oh, I understand this very well, I got it now. But what do I do next? What do I do now? Like, what is it supposed to do? They just sit at home, do nothing. That means it's not understood.
It's not about doing nothing. It's about acting and not reacting.
It's about understanding that there is no actor there and that you cannot either act or react. And when both these things disappear, then something remarkable occurs.
Everything is just predestined. You are just walking the path.
And.
Responding to whatever reality is in the now.
Right. So we will now switch this back to the reality now. Right? Which is what? When we are talking about all these things, there is a base assumption there that you know, you will find out, I will find out. I don't know the truth, or you don't know the truth, or somebody doesn't know the truth, or there is truth and we are operating in truth and outside truth and all these different concepts. Right. Isn't truth a concept? Another idea. What will it. What says something is true and not true, Is it not another idea of truth? Yep.
It's based on our senses, what we hear.
So if you start paying attention, then the senses will only be there for a few hours each in each state. So the question of all of this must resolve itself to who is it that is even seeing any of this? Because without that, we are just talking about another idea of the seer. You know, who is this? I. When you say most people feel this life is like this and this life is like that, isn't that what we are doing right now? That this is it this way and that is that way, and one does this and one does that. It's the same, except that the topic is slightly shifted. That means what? It is not based on knowledge. This has to become action means it has to become. No knowledge means no knowledge at all. What is there to know? You know, like if you're a. You're a man, Sam, is there something for you to remind yourself knowledge is required there? Or what you have to see how knowledge is. And what is knowledge? And is knowledge really needed for action when you are really absorbed in something? Are you referring to the driver instruction and you're really just driving. Are you thinking about driving? So thoughts are not needed, right? The very thought of driving is the problem. This has to be seen very clearly. So the moment of real action, which is what you are all looking for, is when you're suddenly somebody is driving down the, you know, highway about to hit you. And pure whatever intuition or instinct or whatever you want to call it takes over. You're not there sitting, thinking about your best route to exit the path of the oncoming pass and like how elegant or not elegant your, you know, dash will be before you know what's happening. It's happening, it's over. And then you say, shit, did you see that? And blah, blah, blah. And all that in the moment there was nothing. Just action. No question about outcomes, no question about how, why, who, Nothing. Simply one whole just movement. And when it's over, then all the reactions start. Of the past.
And then, then that. That affects your new reality.
You create it there. Otherwise there is nothing to say, it's just over, finished, move on and take.
It as a trauma or. I don't know if it's. Forget it or whatever. But the. The act of hinging up on that memory and reacting your life on it.
Is like if you suddenly there is a pandemic and half your family dies, or there's an accident and half a family dies. What is the difference?
So, yeah, I get what you say. That you defined an entire array of actions based on one single node in this infinite reality. Just because that node is what we give it power to emotionally, is it not?
So what is it that we are saying? We are not in control at all. Simply, we keep reacting like fools. Wow. That's why I said when there's an accident, nothing has actually happened. When most people ask what is happening, nothing is happening. What is there to say? Which, what shall I say? How many things have happened? Which one should you talk about or. Reality is, there's nothing in particular that has happened. Everything is happening. Everything is changing. Things are happening. Cells are dying, breathing is happening, digestion is happening. Right? People are being born. 61 million people died last year in the world. This year we are going to add maybe a million people due to some new thing they have discovered. But it's a statistical rounding error, is it not? If 65 billion people die this year because of COVID including 3 million people extra. Whatever. I mean, if you look back, I mean what. What is the difference?
All that happened, happened, is it not?
It's already finished. Everything is finished, is it not? Anything that you may discuss, is it not the past? So we keep discussing the past ad nauseam forever and never move past it. Whereas when we talk about the new, how are we just creating all these new things? You know, what seemingly is new, nothing is new. But what appears to be new cannot come from the past. It can only come from reality. Because the unreality is the past. We believe the past to be real, is it not? You believe there is a tree in front of your house and it's. You believe that's a tree, but in fact, in a few years it will probably wither and die. So everything you look at is decay. Everything is decaying. To be specific, it's not really decay. It is disintegration, integration and disintegration. Things come together and then they. And this transformation is happening everywhere. So if you think about even physics, it says nothing is ever created or destroyed. It says it's only transformation. Energy is only transformed, right? So if you are clear about this, then where is the question of death or decay or anything at all? And in fact, nothing has ever been created because all there is is transform. So.
So action is if the reality now, it still has some sort of knowledge, but still the action cannot be a reaction of the reality now, right?
Action is knowledge. The only real knowledge is action. Real knowledge is action. For example, when you're driving down the street and about to hit buses about to hit you and you jumped out of it, would you say that you analyzed the knowledge or you knew and jumped?
I just jumped.
No, no, you knew and jumped.
Yeah, I knew what was happening and I jumped.
But you didn't need to know the details. Like you didn't need to know exactly what is happening. You already knew everything. There was nothing else to know there.
Yeah, I just acted.
I don't know, because it's moment to moment. There is no relevant about. Who is this driver? Why is he attacking me? Why is he after my life that comes? He's always drinking. What an idiot. Look at his life, it's shit. Look at him. Like that entire thing is not there. It's just an occurrence, like a pandemic. It's happened, finished.
All that analysis comes later, after the.
It never arises. It should not arise. There is no need. What is it for? It's nonsense. Waste of my life and time. No, blocking me and wasting my precious now. Blocking me from myself. Blocking me from myself means what?
Creating your own.
Separation? Yep. This happened to me. Isn't it the cause of all problems?
Yes.
Where is the problem at all. Nothing has happened. Then where is the question. And there's no you. So when there is no you there, This becomes clear. Right. Hey, sridhar. How are you? Not sure if he's on.
Sorry, I was driving.
Yeah, yeah, no issues. So I just came back home.
Yeah, it was nice. Nice listening to all this and just getting to know a lot more.
Is it making sense to you?
Yeah, yeah. Any knowledge, any more information, anything to add to what we know is really interesting. Opens up a lot of things.
Yes. This. This knowledge is a unique kind of knowledge, you know, of the eye I. Realization is a unique knowledge. This knowledge removes all knowledge. Okay.
I was just thinking of asking you. You said you are guru. Were you talking about Jaggi? Was this guy.
What is that?
J. Krishnamurti or you?
Yeah, they are a similar lineage. Yeah, it's similar lineage. It's one of the. I mean, it's not relevant people. The lineage. People think as is important actually. But it's really not important. There's nothing called lineage. But yeah, he has the start.
They were both with theosophical society and a lot of things. Similarities. Ramana Mahasri.
Yeah. So Guruji was at. He was with Ramana during. When he was 16, 15 years old. And he spent time with a lot of. He's done the whole thing. You know, he realized himself when he was in his 30s. And then he's traveled for the last 50 years all around the world. And people know him and all, but he's no organization, nothing. He's just, you know, one of those people that are not people but like fully realized sages.
The Guruji, who are you talking about?
He's a person. I know that. I.
You know, essentially he's. He's Amit in another form.
We are all the same form.
See. Yeah.
Everybody appears in different forms, but it's just the same form.
When someone asked earlier about the Bhagavad Gita and the Mahabharata and I would say that each time that I have read those, you know, the joy that just comes with. When Krishna says that there is no. No one slain. There's no slayer and there's no one slain. Not to wake the sleeping ones. Like his advice to Arjuna is just very. There's a certainty within that of, oh, I don't exist. This is really so much easier. There's no one attacking me because there's no me. There's nothing I need to do because it simply occurs. I don't worry about when I will take a drink of water because it will happen.
When?
Whenever it happens. Like I will just notice that I'm drinking water. It's been absolutely a complete relief. And it's fact also.
Yes. Is that it's a fact too. No. You can see yourself seeing all those things happen.
Yes.
You can see yourself being anxious about the next meal or the next whatever. And yes, all those anxieties will be there, but it has no bearing on what's about to happen.
That's right. So they are. It's almost like flies. You just simply, ah, okay, that is that. And move on and on to the next. And just every moment is fresh, every interaction is new. No harbor for memory or resentments even.
And whenever those things arise, one can see them arising, like you said, like the flies and all that. And the point is that they end the minute you're seeing them. You know, a thought cannot proceed when you look at it.
And that's why I know, that's why I go silent when we speak. It's simply because it's the relief of no knowledge.
It is the certainty, you know?
Yes.
And that's what the difference is that what is the individual, so to speak, you know, it's not there. There's no individual. But on the other hand, there is the force of fire and wind. And the force is there, you know, that's the actual force. So when you go towards Guruji, for example, it is an intensity, you know, like a fire. You go near a fire, you'll get buried. This is an actual thing. It's not that if you go near a wind tornado, you'll get blown away. You go near an earthquake, you'll get, you know, you'll sink into the ground. If you go near a gyani, you will disappear. This is fact. This is not complicated. This is how the world is. This is what the world is, you see, because the world is nothing but consciousness. And when consciousness becomes aware of consciousness, only awareness remains. Because the me is nothing but consciousness. What I mean by that in specific is, let us say I'm nervous about going and talking on the stage. Right? Means what exactly? I'm conscious of myself. I'm self conscious, you know, I'm feeling self conscious means what? I'm feeling conscious of myself. What is that? Self. All the me ideas that I have, image of me that is going to be somehow damaged when I make a fool of myself on stage. And everybody will know it. And then this stage, I mean, this image will contain all the ridicule and the fun that happened just now on the stage. And it will never go away. And that is me, you see? And now I'm like just quivering in my boots, ready to go on that damn stage, right? But on the other hand, there's nothing, you know, in reality. All these ideas are coming and going, you know? So somehow, suddenly, somebody takes responsibility and delivery of those ideas and claims them and then becomes that nervousness. I am nervous. I'm nervous. I mean, if you're feeling nervous, then how are you nervous?
So how did this thing happen to you, this awakening or how did you realize, like, this change? Did you see it in one go or. It was a process.
So, like the intellectual part of it is a process, right? You just look at all these discussions we're having, and these are. This is an intellectual discussion because we are using intellect, we are using the mind and ideas and concepts and vocabulary and analogies and the mind stuff. You know, we're using the mind stuff to discuss this topic about the mind itself. And at the. At some point, this mind, which is the topic and the conversation and the thoughts and the whole thing we call consciousness, That itself becomes clear, you know, what is it? We use the word consciousness, but that's just another word. We don't actually know what it is. We have some idea of it, you know. If I say God, you have an idea of it. If I say ghost, you have an idea of it. If I say happiness, you have an idea of it. Success, you have an idea. These words don't exist in objective form in reality, right? You cannot go and see success somewhere and compare what you have with them and say, yes, I got it or don't have it, you know? Yeah, you have to have it. So these are all ideas and have no basis in actuality. They're imagined and they're made up and not real. Because ghost is not real. We know that. Right. In the same way, can you say that happiness is real? Yeah. So you believe in ghosts and you believe in happiness, Right. Both of them. The belief is there that I should be happy. But people don't know. What does that word happy mean? They look for pleasure. You know, I'm happy if I get a car. I'll be happy if I get a job or a house or this or that. But that's not happiness. That's an event. And you get a joy from it and it disappears. And you get bored of it right after that, and you're on to the next thing and the next thing and the next thing, and it never ends. Because that is the nature of mind. All it wants to do is grasp. I'm unable to grasp this. Can you explain again, because the nature of mind is to understand. Mind means it wants to know why, how, who, why not me? Why me? Right. Why you? Right. And all that. These questions are, what do you people say? Inquisitiveness and all that. They also say curiosity killed the cat. Right. So which one should you believe in? Yeah, right.
So seek. And then when you seek more and learn more, it kind of. Unless you have a proper idea or direction maybe it goes. It can go haywire. Is that what you see?
It goes completely into the wilderness. There is no control. You look at the world today, it's completely haywire. Yeah, right. Because people are not in control of their mind. They have no idea about the reality of mind and the world. And you know, what is called as happiness, what everybody is seeking. It's written in the American Constitution, pursuit of happiness. But they don't know what it is. The most unhappy country. It is like the world's largest economy. Half the people are, you know, food insecurity, poverty levels are. I mean, it's astonishing, isn't it? I mean, I moved here long time ago thinking this is the well before all this happened. I know you asked me the question, how did it happen? And it happens in an instant, you know, see that at one point. Because, see, it's like a mystery. You know, you're watching or reading an Agatha history or a Sherlock Holmes or whatever, and you're like really, you know, deeply engrossed, unable to know, you know, and you're kind of trying to figure it out. And all these like theories and ideas and suspicions and, you know, all that you're figuring it out. You know, it's like your intellect is being, you know, probably it's like as.
Abrupt as how you awaken suddenly.
That's it. Suddenly you know, the killer, you know, in the mystery. Oh, shit. Everything disappears. There's no need to like think about the details anymore. You just know it. Then you can go and tell them, oh, I know what you did. And you did this and this and this and this. And you don't have to like construct it again because you know it. You see that knowing or when you wake up, there is no need to ask, hey, all those people just now in the dream, I was eating ice cream just now. They were there. What happened? Those people just now, Are they all dead? Like what happened? Right, okay, you don't know. You don't have to ask that, you know, you don't have to go to anybody and Ask, hey, what happened to those people? Right? You know already that it was a dream and you created it. You were the creator there, and you were everybody there. You were the Earth, you were the birds, you were the time and space and quantum physics. You were everything there in that world. And you didn't know that. You could have talked outside, walked out to the physics guy and say, hey, let's have a chat about, you know, how old the Earth is. And he'll say, yeah, it's four and a half billion years old. And you know all that stuff. And if you say, hey, this is not true. It's just, you know, I just started dreaming this. Like, it's five minutes old man. The guy's gonna be like, what, he's gonna put you in jail there or some cell. Yeah. And you'll have a very terrible dream, you know, Then suddenly you'll wake up and what then, phew, that was a dream. You won't even, like, bother you, like, just move on so fast. You'll move on that you will not even realize what happened. Okay? And we assume now that we are in a world which is not like a dream and is not like all the dreams we see. We have convinced ourselves of that.
So in that sense does this thing about all the signals in the head that happens, it's all that. No impulses or that things that happen. So could it be stimulated? You know, like what they're trying to figure out about, you know, so many things which can be triggered, like the feeling. It's all those electric, electric signals or, you know, those electromagnetic things.
So probably.
Is it, I think, something that is just in the mind, that lot of things happen, is it not?
Yeah. See, right now you are seeing what you call as mind. You open your eyes, what do you see? You see trees. But is that tree outside or inside your mind?
Yeah, it's all happening. It's all converging in my brain, not converging.
You have to become very, very clear about this point. What do you see when you open your eyes? Is it outside or inside your mind? There is no converging at all.
Is it outside or inside sight sense?
No, no, no, no, no. Forget all those things. Sight is there. Camera, eyes are there eyes Just brings in the image. I mean, it brings in the light. Yeah, it's an opening for light. Okay. All kinds of light comes in your ear, is an opening for sound. All kinds of sound comes in different, different frequencies. It is available, able to hear from around 20 hertz to 20,000 hertz. The sound smells. I have a whole range of smells. Like people.
Like all these come together and then forms.
But where is that happening?
Yeah, of course, in the mind.
So what do you see when you say I see. If you say you see a tree, that is not the eyes. You know, the eyes cannot see a tree. The eyes only see light. Yeah.
And it's more of a processor.
It's just sending in, so the signals, so called signals or senses, sensory, you know, instruments are bringing in information regarding whatever you say. And then you say there is a tree, but where did that tree ness come from? None of these instruments know that, you know. Yep. Therefore, the whole world is constructed in your mind. Correct. Just like a dream. It's not different. It's literally the same thing.
Yeah, I guess that's how this whole Matrix makes sense.
Yeah, that's what I was just gonna say. Yeah.
The question in the Matrix movie, obviously was, what's outside the Matrix? Yeah. They did not answer. Yeah. So one has to understand to get out of it. What is it that is getting out of what?
But they do get out of it, right? That ship, that kind. They're all underground.
And then what. What is that world in which that ship is in?
Yeah, they've lost that world and they're trying to save themselves that.
That universe that they have exited from one world and now they're in a bigger universe. Where is that universe? Is it not another trap? Yeah. How do you know that's not another matrix? Okay.
Exactly. We've just commercialized one concept.
So they've just commercialized the same concept. Every, every artist, you know, ultimately reaches towards the same truth because everything originates as the same thing. So ultimately, you know, the more abstract and abstract you get, it all goes back to, you know, what people either call God or spirituality or, you know, whatever, you know, sanyas and all these things, you know, Brahmachari, what is that? You go for different stages, right? You go through Brahmachari, then this one, householder, then, you know.
Yep, yep, totally.
That's an idea again. As if the dream has to work a certain way. It's just a dream. That's why I say Buddha was no problem. Buddhism is a big problem. You can be a Buddha, you can awaken, finished. But if you start telling people about Buddhism and all, which he never did, other people did. That's the problem. The one who is awake can directly tell people, hey. Because it's clear, you know, for the rest, it's an idea.
They need idols, like real idols.
They don't need anything. They Create it? Yeah, they create it. That's all that is called confusion. It is ignorance. So the Buddhists are the ignorant people, right? They have created a Buddhism there and forgotten the whole point. The point is there is no Buddhism. There is only the Buddha. And everybody is a Buddha and everybody is Buddha and all there is is Buddha. You can call it Buddha, you can call it God, you can call it awareness, you can call it Brahman, whatever you want, consciousness. But to create ideas and say that is what it is and this is how it is and all that, is it not.
Most foolish anyone calling it Buddha and hence Buddhism.
Buddha was there. That's a fact. No, as in Buddhism is not a fact.
And the meaning that is conveyed now in the word. In that word?
Yes.
It doesn't lie in that word.
That's what I'm saying. So the person was there who became awakened. Then Buddhism was created as the ignorant part. Because it's just a mechanical process. There's no need to call it different things. It is what it is already, you know, it's already telling you what it is. Every night shows you different dreams, worlds. So everything is shown there in your own 24 hour life cycle, the whole Om is there, you know, Om means what you know, what does it mean?
It means the sound of universe is what I've heard. I don't know.
There are three syllables followed by a half syllable of sound in A which means the essentially what is called as the pragma state of nothingness, then the arisal of the so called transitory dream states, then the waking state and back to the sleep state of silence. This composes the entire truth in one syllable. That's why they say the world is Om, because it's nothing but vibration of sound. You see, when I say how do you know? How did you know? Wasn't there some vibration or movement that caused knowledge? So vibration is knowledge, Movement is knowledge, Movement generates knowledge, movement of consciousness. You see, when I say let me see what happens when I close my eyes and think what is actually happening. You have to see. That is the movement that generates knowledge. It generates knowledge, means it creates ideas.
Yeah, I guess the inner world is less explored. Maybe that's where.
And I'm drawing the curve, you know, trying to draw your attention that there is no outer world. Inner and outer, inner and outer. What is the distinction that we draw there? You're saying something is outside. I just told you that everything you see is inside your mind, not outside.
Yeah, but then to realize that and.
You'Re happening within me no, that does not need realization. No, right now you know this. Is it not a fact that everything you see is inside your mind? No, no, no. The next question is, it has not complete that next question. First you have to see it's in your mind. Then you have to ask the next question, which is that how do I know that there is anything outside the mind? And the answer to that is I don't know. You don't know that. And you cannot argue. You have to talk, think about this yourself and come to the realization that you don't know that if there is anything outside or not. And you can never know, because all knowledge is within the mind. And so when you go to sleep now, and you know that you will dream of a whole world just like this. You should know that a world like this does not require material, does not require time. It just arises in a dream instantly, spontaneous arising. That's why it's called spontaneous or eternal. The question of time is not relevant there. Eternal, anything immediate. Eternal means now. That's what eternal means. Because it doesn't have any meaning. You know, eternal is outside of time. You see, the word eternal means time does not apply to. Is not linear in time at all, because it's not subject to time. There is no beginning also, and therefore there is no end. It is eternal. So when we think, when we realize what is eternity or nowness, it is not in time. Time is eliminated in that situation. Because time is just a dimension of thinking. When you think, you create time. Correct?
That is so true.
Otherwise there is only now. And that word now is now being comprehended with the definition of time. So you think that that's now the time. Now or now or something special. But if you remove all the notions of time, what remains is the now. So it is not another, you know, oh, this is the now. No, when nothing is able to be said, then you are in the here and now. Whatever happens is here and now to me, in my mind, with no other confusion. That's why I said thoughts take me away from myself. Because otherwise all there is is me. Thought says, no, no, something else is there, which is ignorance. And it begins with me. I am there the minute. Say I there means what? I am there, you are there. Otherwise, what is the meaning of I? So I is a relationship, always I and you, right? Without you there can be no I. So I and you are actually the same, you know? Is this point clear?
Yeah, I guess the world doesn't exist if I'm not there.
Or is it not? Is it Not a fact. If you are not awake, you will not know this. And if you don't know this, it doesn't matter whatsoever. Even the tiniest bit. It doesn't matter, is it not? Yeah. So if you don't know something, it doesn't exist, is it correct?
Yeah, makes sense. A bartender told me once, you know, generally having a drink, and then he's talking about how he doesn't. I mean, I asked him, do you have any friends in Bangalore? And all that. And he was saying, no, it doesn't matter, you know, as long as I'm comfortable with myself and all that. So generally in that context, he just said this word that, you know, the world exists because of me. And then it was like, oh, yeah. You know, it all makes so much sense.
It is simple and very fundamental. The thing is, we create doubts about this fact. You know, the first doubt is. When I go to sleep, does the world continue? Is it not? Because if this was true. So you have to investigate this. What is it exactly is meant by the world.
Yeah, makes sense.
So what we are saying, therefore, is that there is no world. All there is is consciousness.
Okay, but when you say consciousness, it is the dream.
The whole dream is consciousness only, is it not? It's your mind, is it not? You call it waking state or dream state or different things based on your misunderstanding of the reality, is it not? Neither is it a dream state nor is it a waking state. Those are all ideas based on the past. See, dream and waking are not, you know, adjacent in the sense that nobody right now in this state and we are in the waking state. Nobody in this world can be found who can be in the dream state right now and talk to you about it. Everybody here is in the waking state only. The dream state is only an idea right now. A memory, is it not? Fact? Right now, dream state is a memory. We are discussing the dream state, but nobody has experience of the dream state. Right now the only experience you have is of the waking state. So even if you talk about sleep or you talk about dream, you cannot experience that right now. And anybody talking about the sleep state can never experience it in the waking state and talk about it at the same time. They are disjointed. That is the difference between reality and discussion or action. I mean, reality and description. In sleep, you are actually asleep. Here you can only talk about it. In dream, you are actually dreaming. Here you can only talk about it because this is the waking. So you cannot do the action of sleeping or dreaming. Here you can only talk about it. So this must make clear the difference between action and non action or everything else which is talking about it.
Yeah.
So to be is the action not to become in the waking state or in the dream state. To remain as reality, to remain as consciousness. That is called meditation. That is why you will hear people say things like, oh, if you do something, you will never be able to, you know, whatever they are seeking for and all these things, you know, doing something, you will not be in the Zen state and all these things. Right. Because the point they're trying to make is very simple. The action is taken by whom? Who is the one that is going to meditate? Nobody can. Right. And when this fact becomes clear, then all there is is meditation. So good Sri, there's anything else. We're going to talk about this going to wrap up in a couple of minutes. Go ahead, Sarah.
I was just going to say thank.
You most welcome.
I'm thinking.
But in general, the reason we do these calls on a slightly different note, is not because we're trying to form a new religion, but really because we want people to become effective at their lives. You know, because people live in the most. Yeah, go ahead.
I would just say that since, and just as an example, since you and I began to interact and I hated you at first, but when this began to settle in and I am able to witness like my life has calmed significantly, everything has changed. And it's because of this no knowledge. It's the. It's just not. No worrying then no mind. That's not to say that I am successful with that all the time. I'm certainly not, but.
Yep, maybe steps.
Well and you know, there, there are three types of students. The one who understands the moment they're told. The one who needs to be told a few times and they think about it a little bit. And then the one that like needs a few years to get through it and it doesn't matter which one, but the remembering over and over and over, returning to Amit or anybody that will point and say, no, it's you. Also there is no you. It makes life so much easier because life just occurs. I'm not required for it in any way. Effortless.
See, the description is the effort. Otherwise what is effort? Effort is just wanting something, you know, that's effort. Wanting can only arise when there is something happening that you want to change. You know, you want to improve it. So that's why we're all seeking, you know, some sort of perfection, Nirvana or something. Perfection where everything is perfect. Everything is perfect. You know, we all want that, but not realizing again, just like happiness, perfection doesn't actually exist as perfection. It exists as a state where there is no change possible or needed anymore. No need for improvement is seen. Therefore you say it's perfect. No more need to change. Finished perfection. So perfection is now where the universe is perfect, is it not? Where is the question that universe is not perfect? Or this dog is not peeing properly? That dog should pee differently. But if a man makes a small house also, they'll be like, oh, just look at this stupid house. It's not straight and all that, right? But you see, this is the thing. It's already happening. Perfection. But we are seeking it in the ocean of perfection. You want to seek it because you're seeking it. You'll never find it because it's already perfect.
If it has given you the freedom of taking actions, then it is perfect.
No, it's not conditional. That action is not taken by you. Only ignorance says I will take action. Otherwise, how will you take action? And who will take action and do what? So if you see you want freedom, you'll never find it. Because you're find you're looking for it, you know? Therefore you're not free. Can you be free if you're looking for freedom? Nope. You're trapped when you're looking for freedom because you don't have it.
I'm just answering problems with problems.
You're creating the problem and then there's no answer there. You're just creating problem, that's all. When you stop creating problems, you realize the truth.
So shed the knowledge.
There's no need to shed gets shed, you know. That is the nature of knowledge. False knowledge cannot remain. So in these discussions and in this clarity. None of that is possible. It's not possible to have the old knowledge. You asked Sarah when she first what is it started when Sarah knew it all. Remember that?
Oh, yeah, I remember that. It was hell. In. In knowing that I know nothing now. It opens up every possibility in every. The moment has every possibility, as in quantum physics type. Like any moment, every moment, this moment, everything is not only possible, but probable. So simply not making any sort of unknowable.
All of these things also you're. Yeah. All of these things also are not required. See? Yeah, don't go to quantum physics. Because quantum physics implies some sort of dependence on objects. You see, quantum physics is only objective description of something that is not there.
I agree that.
So what you're saying is true? Yes, what you're saying is absolutely true. I'M just saying that you can simply remain at the fact that. What does it mean that anything is possible means what? You know, you're not the doer, you know.
So what it means is no judgment. No judgment making, no thinking.
That is definitely. And when you say now, you've brought up something. Now, anything is possible, anything is free. Anything. That is true. And the reason for that is. Remember, the universe is spontaneous occurrence. When you say, how old is this universe? Let us not be confused. The question of time doesn't arise. So, okay, Trump doesn't want to be. We should not have Trump as president. You want to manifest some different reality. You want to go back in time? Whatever you want. Because the question, what is the meaning of back in time? There's nothing called time, you see. So this is. Once this becomes clear, what is it? That is, when we say this is possible, that is possible. I am free. What is it again? We are talking about freedom in conceptual form, because an individual is now free. The moment is open to the individual. The one who knows nothing is still an individual only. Otherwise the question of knowledge or not knowledge and freedom and bondage itself doesn't arise. And the dream that. And now I will say it as if you're. But don't think about it. Any dream is possible at any time. That is the thing. That is what you meant by that, Sarah?
Yeah, I just. Yeah. It simply means that in having no judgment made on anything. No.
Yes, definitely no judgment. If some zombie has an apocalypse. Yeah.
Yes. No output means just. It's. It means silence.
Yeah. So what it means, for example, is suddenly if there's a zombie apocalypse, you know, a lot of zombies start to wake up and there's no reaction. Just like you want, you know, oh, I wish they were aliens and all that. And I want to find out if there are aliens. And then suddenly one day you, you know, you see a headline. I mean, if it happens tomorrow, just like pandemic, what do you think will happen? There's no need to think. You see, if it happens, it will just happen and it will continue to happen and happen, and whatever's happening will continue to happen. But the point is anything can happen. This is the point. And because anything can happen, nothing, in fact, nothing is happening. That's why we say anything can happen. And so the happening or not happening itself is irrelevant. Again, it's from the point of the view of knowledge. Something is happening, not happening. This dream, open, not open. That whole point is of experience only and of the past. So we are talking about the complete and utter transcending of all ideas of space and time and happenings and events. Right. Because once you're outside of time and space, there is nothing happening and there is no. No thing. Right? That's the nothing. No things, no events, no people, no me. And yet there is something, and we call it silence because it doesn't have any ideas or knowledge. There, you see? But it is not silence of sound. It is silence of everything, all things. It is the source and the very sink where everything starts and ends, you know? And that is the space of consciousness. Or the mind. Space, to be very simply put, because what you're looking into the space or outside your eyes is the mind, and that space is the mind space. All right, well, good call, guys. This week. Yeah. Any parting comments? See that? Yep.
I think a lot to ponder on and kind of, you know, delve deeper to the thing that you see about here. You know, maybe try it out to kind of see the inner, you know, awakening as to what's happening.
Maybe.
Because that's something that I have not done. It's always like, so maybe I'll try it out and see.
Yes. And the logo of awake is the only thing you have to remember because it is an eye. It means you just have to see. You know, the eye only sees. It doesn't say anything. It doesn't do anything. It's just seeing.
So to observe.
Observing, yes. Witnessing, yes. Understanding cannot come unless you have observed everything. Okay, Right. Unless you see everything, you cannot understand it. Otherwise you would only have partial understanding. True. So only seeing is understanding.
I would only add the idea of, you know, you have the eye, the seeing, turning that inward, only everything outward, all of the outness.
Yeah, Yeah, I think that makes sense.
First of all, you have to find out where is the line drawn? What do you consider as inner and what do you consider as outer? This question you have to answer me next week.
Yeah.
Okay. So that can be our plan. Next week we'll discuss what is inner and what is outer. Yeah, sounds good. Cool. Thanks, guys. Thanks.
Questions that I have. So next week will be amazing.
Take it. Very good.
I have a few questions, but, yeah, I'm thinking about it. I think I can.
Yeah, yeah, Great. No problem. All right. Okay, guys. Cheers.
Yes.
Bye.
